Aurora Narcissa Malfoy's earliest memories are of her parents arguing over how they would get through their trial for their involvement with You-Know-Who in the first wizarding war. Since their trial, they constantly reminded and promised her that, despite the dark artifacts in their home and the whispers behind locked doors with others who also claimed they were under the Imperius Curse, things had changed and they were not the bad guys anymore. But Aurora remained skeptical. Optimistic, but skeptical. She was even starting to believe her younger brother might be coerced easily into joining the Dark Side because of the friends he surrounded himself with; let's be honest, dad also did show a preference to Draco over her anyway. How was she going to fit into the family dynamic when she clearly wanted a different life for herself?
**note: this story was originally written and published as a WIP many years ago by me. I decided to come back to it as a means of creativity and working on my writing. While many aspects of the story are the same, I have changed a lot and adjusted the story slightly with newfound HP info and knowledge**
