"The last night of the cycle, the last night of the summer. The last night before everything changed, and she was forced into a life she didn’t quite know if she was ready for. "
“Do you think this year going to be different?” Harry looked over at Claire, his hands in his pockets.
“Yeah. Yeah it is.” Was all he said.
Everything was going to be different. She could feel it.
“You’re not going mad. I can see them too, you’re just as sane as I am.” Someone spoke from the carriage as they loaded. Claire grinned. “Hello Luna.” She spoke with a smile as she made her way up onto the carriage.
“Hello Claire.” She said with a smile, moving over for the girl to sit beside her. The others looked at her, but she didn’t care now.
She was back at Hogwarts.
That’s all she wanted.
“She’s right you know.” Harry looked at her.
“If Voldemort can isolate you, then you’re not as much of a threat.” She said. Harry sighed and nodded. He seemed to agree with her. So far in as soon as they got inside and saw Ron, Hermione, and Ginny, he asked to join them. He needed their friendship, they needed each other.
“I’ve been wanting to show someone this, but haven’t really had the courage, afraid of what they might think.” She explained. She knew she was being weird, but then again, that’s who she was. Harry straightened up to look at her, confused.
“There’s a reason while I’m able to stay with Remus, Harry, even during his cycles.” She told him, looking at him, before turning back. She closed her eyes and spun, before her body changed before him.
