From the Beginning
Every so often though a person would slip through the cracks and find themselves suddenly carrying around a burden of knowledge that contradicted everything they had ever been taught in schools and in society.
Snape passed Ron on to Harry and walked up the driveway to a house on the cul-de-sac, pulling out a key and opening the front door as if this was something he did all the time. When none of the teenagers followed after him he sighed and pointed inside the house with a face that meant they had better do it and do it now. One after another they filed in like puddle ducks and stood in the entryway as Snape closed the door and locked the many locks.
