Dad just came straight out with it. "Did she dump you?"
Scorpius Malfoy, Get Out Of My Head
He's about a foot taller than me now. We used to be the same height. And his shoulders are much wider. His muscles look more defined under his robes. Damn. I hate him.
He stood looking at me for a minute like he was debating doing something, and then just grabbed me and kissed me.
"Hey, you can't just fight over me!" I shouted at him. He was maddening.
We arrived at Gryffindor tower, and I felt sorry for the poor first year who had been coerced into letting everyone from other houses in. The Fat Lady who guarded Gryffindor tower glared at us as we entered, evidently she took her role of guardian seriously.
Scorp's mother, Astoria, is stunning, with smooth wavy dark hair, falling to the middle of her back. She surprised me by pulling me into a hug and saying Scorp had written home and told her all about me.
I could hear various Slytherins shouting comments at us, but Scorpius just held his head up and ignored them. If he wasn't there I would've turned around and shouted something offensive back. "Your mum" jokes never get old.
Charms and Quidditch
The whistle blew, indicating that we should get out onto the pitch.
An Ordinary Day
“Go ahead,” he smirked, handing me his mug. “Read my leaves.”
An Un-Ordinary Week
I was planning on just slipping out casually and running away as fast as humanly possible, but Scorp had other plans. He literally held his arm out in front of the door and caught me around the waist and dragged me off to somewhere more private.
Summer Is Beginning
“I can't believe we're nearly done,” Allie said, looking fondly at the castle that had been our home for the last seven years.
“Oh, you guys!” I felt my eyes fill with tears.
The End of an Era
My mum was already sat in the kitchen waiting for me, chatting away with Astoria, which surprised me. I wasn't sure how she'd cope staying in a magical house for two weeks, but as she said, "I brought you up, so there are no surprises anymore."
The First Hours Of Married Life
“Thanks Em,” he raised his glass to me, and then pointed at Scorp. “He's rubbish without you.”
A Surprise Visit
"You are no longer my grandson."
An Eventful Anniversary
I sighed. It was time she knew that I hadn't completely put the notion of her and Charlie behind me after all.
I woke up suddenly. She was facing away from me, her body shaking. I touched her, and she couldn't help but cry out loud then. She'd been keeping it from me, how she was really feeling.
There was a stage nearby and a band were playing, with a girl dancing around them.
We're Malfoys. We wade through all the rubbish and come out sparkling on the other side.
People dropped in and out of the house to wish us luck, and I wasn't aware of anything until Rose snapped her fingers in front of my face. The clock said it was half past four in the afternoon.
I stood up, my knees shaking. I felt like I was going to vomit. Scorpius squeezed my hand and Hermione gave me a reassuring smile.
“Mrs Weasley, given your personal history with Ms Skeeter I cannot possibly do that,” said Shacklebolt sharply.
Happily Ever After
His eyes widened. “Em, that's brilliant!”
The Birthday Party
“I see nothing changes,” said Al, nodding at me and looking pointedly at Em.
She Needs Me
I scribbled a note and left it on my pillow for her to find when she woke up.
Dark Haired Girl
“That's a shame. Scorp here looks like he could've done with a besty when he was ickle,” James grinned.
I wrapped my arm around Em. “Al's got ten galleons on her going into Gryffindor. James reckons Slytherin.”
