Changing myself to fit in was easy... but extremely hard for me at the same time.
As I pushed my trolley with ease through the crowd, I could tell people were watching. I wasn't something you missed.
I would be lying if I told you that Freddie and I had actually spent the train ride catching up.
"This one woke up late and we only mildly avoided a DWMD."
The rest of the day had passes as a blur.
Life in Hogwarts had soon wrapped around me and I came into a routine.
Today wasn't going to be normal, in fact, it was going to be crazy.
"YOU WANTED TO TALK HERE SO SIT DOWN!"
"Why should I help you?"
I think Ginny was taking this too seriously.
It was extremely funny watching him speed eat, the first time it happened, Dom had snorted and spat out her breakfast.
MAE + NO COFFEE = THE NEXT LORD VOLDEMORT.
And I was pushed right out the door.
"RUN ALBUS, RUN! THERE'S NO WHERE THAT IS SAFE FROM THE SEXUALLY DETERMINED TEENAGERS! FLEE FOR YOUR LIFE!"
Yes, you heard me correctly. My best friend likes to have a tickling session with her boyfriend in the middle of the Great Hall at dinner time.
As soon as I passed the doors, I quickly picked up my pace to a brisk speed walk.
I went past bonkers.
"I. Got. Mud. In. My. Hair!"
"James, calm down..."
I was in good-cop-bad-cop-interrogation mode now. No one should mess with me.
"It's not my fault I'm so loved!"
"Mae, breathe, breathe," Dom was urging me, her hand on my shoulders as I sat in my dressing gown and slippers on my bed hyperventilating.
"How the hell did you get 're-dying for dummies' wrong?"
"Let the game begin!"
The worst part was that it was all my fault
Not past tense, present.
And strangely, that was me.
This was us.
"But it's tradition!"
