I had never fainted before, not for anything, but this was just too much, and as blackness encroached on my vision, I let it come and I slipped into unconsciousness.
“It’s going to be ok, you’re really lucky, you know, given the situation. We’ll all take care of you.”
She shrieked and pointed, “James! Who is that and what did you guys do to her?”
"Do you want to have run away, been killed, or completely forgotten?"
Holly gets to know Lily
Remus and Holly finish constructing her room... and build up their friendship a little more, too
As I leaned over him, I realized he was conscious, but barely. I repeated my question from earlier, “What happened?”
The Full Moon
My only memories of the night before were of the transformation. The pain. I think I threw up. What else had I done? Was I still a monster if I had no memory of being one?
“You feel yucky? The thesaurus is on the far shelf, Holly.”
He howled in laughter and pulled off to the berm. I jumped off the bike and immediately sat in the grassy landscaping along the road. Holding onto the blades of grass with my fingers and generally soaking up the feeling of being on the ground, I eventually relaxed.
“Well, you’re welcome to come as my date then, to make it socially acceptable.”
“I don’t know why you were so upset last night Lily, so just start at the beginning.”
Lily and I were joined later by the boys, Peter’s arm in a sling. He said he was doing fine and James seemed excited about the fact that they were able to bring home a dozen burgers balanced in that sling.
Frank and Alice's Wedding
“I wouldn’t call it jumping to conclusions, I mean, it’s pretty obvious where you spent the night.” Lily's voice filled with mischievous glee.
Sirius stood up and snatched the Daily Prophet from Remus’ hands. “Hey there, Moony, surprised you don’t have ink on your nose.”
Lily stopped mid pivot, but before I could possibly think of something to say, she continued. “I know that Alice just got married, but Frank is in his mid-twenties. So many people are just running down the aisle, and I don’t think I want-” She stopped and walked towards the couch, falling forward onto her stomach.
“Holly?” I looked up to see Remus waving his hand and hearing the door shut, “come here.”
Grabbign her coat, Lily stormed out the door. She strode about two yards, then turned to face me again, quietly her voice growled out. "Don't be such a victim." The she turned and disappeared on the spot.
Holly visits London with Lily
I tried to keep my voice down worried I’d wake the other occupants but I just wanted to scream. When he didn’t move I practically growled, “I’m sick of not being able to go anywhere. Sick of being stuck in apartments and cabins and never allowed to step outside on my own. Have you ever felt trapped, Sirius? It’s not a good feeling. We aren’t meant to be caged. I hope you never feel this way.”
Warning: There is strong profanity in this chapter.
A touch to my shoulder immediately unwrapped my arms, sending them flailing in that direction. I scrambled away, tumbling into a table and kicking out hard. I connected with a soft target who wheezed in response, “Merlin, calm down, Holly.”
