“It’s no trouble at all, you’re the main man here,” she winked, causing Harry to flush a little. She dabbed a small sponge on his forehead. “If you could sit to the side, that’s it, I can apply the foundation perfectly. Oh, you are a handsome one, aren’t you?”
Harry ignored her. The confidence he felt in this new skin was beyond anything he had ever experienced before, even when he had been holding The Elder Wand, or cheering at himself for retrieving The Golden Egg in The Triwizard Tournament. He even felt himself walking differently, swaggering with a slight Malfoy-esque manner. In any other circumstance that would have been awful but this was perfect for Danny’s rebellious attitude and arrogant character.
“What?” Harry said, brushing his hair back and sighing, “Are we? I was just soaking that up. It’s amazing, all this attention, they care, they care about someone completely separate to me! It’s such a change, I’m sorry you don’t understand that.” He lay back in the chair. “They better hurry up with our dinner.”
