Chapter one - Best Friends Forever
He then turned to look at me, his hazel eyes twinkling amusedly. “Good morning sunshine.”
Chapter two - The Other Side of the Coin
“You’re still staring,” I pointed out.
Chapter three - A Birthday Surprise
Chapter four - Good Behaviour
“What?” I almost laughed at her accusation, still plotting the easiest way to knock her out. Luckily she seemed to be thick. It might help cushion her fall after I pushed her out the window for looking at me like that. Some people just had no manners these days.
Chapter five - Great First Impression
Chapter six - Erase Those Thoughts
“Stop freaking her out, Jen.” She chuckled. “You don’t say stuff like that to Gwen or James. They panic and act weird. Look at her!”
Chapter seven - New Year's Resolution
James pulled away instantly, bewilderment evident on his face.
Chapter eight - Cue the awkward silence
The room was quickly filled with mutterings and conversations on napkins, but the atmosphere between James and me was still awkward. He was still standing in the same spot, looking rather puzzled, a light pink colour still visible on his cheeks. I wanted to say something, but didn’t know how I could work on fixing it.
Chapter nine – Wrong in every single way
“Something else is bothering you too, what is it?” I said in a hushed voice.
Chapter ten - Just Fine
His voice gave me courage and finally I managed to open my eyes all the way, only to see…
Chapter eleven – The Tingling Feeling
“Do the Healer’s normally feed their patients?” I questioned as I tried to shift into a more comfortable position.
Chapter twelve – The Ugly Sticks
I glared at the hideous things on my lap. There was no way I was going to use them! Never in a million years.
Chapter thirteen - No Surprise
“You staying here tonight?” I questioned, still eyeing at the bag.
Chapter fourteen - Pure Perfection
“Hi,” I said with a small smile after opening the door and getting the first glimpse of the handsome man.
Chapter fifteen - Decisions
“He told you?” I felt stunned. I had not expected James to take such a big step yet.
Chapter sixteen - Out of Luck
But it wasn’t fine. It most definitely wasn’t even anything close. It was the most horrible thing ever, but for completely different reasons that I had expected.
Chapter seventeen - Outburst
“I know, I know! I’m an idiot, you don’t have to tell me about it!” James shouted back.
Chapter eighteen - Euphoria
He was laughing as he let go of me and his eyes were twinkling joyfully. That, combined with how good he was looking today, had my thoughts wandering down the wrong track again – I don’t think there had ever been a moment when I had wanted to kiss him more. But luckily there was a cough coming from the doorway, interrupting us. My euphoria was so strong at that moment, who knows what I would’ve done.
Chapter nineteen - Confessions
Rosie’s eyes widened and the mug stopped on her lips as she was taken by surprise. My mouth twitched amusedly as I realised if I had spoken a few seconds later, I might now be covered with a spurt of coffee, judging by the look on her face. I bet she never could have guessed this was the subject I wanted to talk about.
Chapter twenty - A Warm Welcome
James stared back, the traces of his amusement still visible on his lips. “Oh come on. Don’t I get a hug?” he questioned, his left hand running through his messy, dark hair.
Chapter twenty-one - Too Early to Tell
“Too early to tell,” I simply told Freddy.
Chapter twenty-two - Flying Again
I rolled my eyes. He was just being paranoid. The press didn’t have access anywhere near our locker room. “What do you want to talk about then?” I asked as I kneeled down to secure the knee pad on my injured leg.
Chapter twenty-three - Heaven. Or Hell.
”In here!” James said suddenly, grabbing me by my shoulders and pushing me sideways through a door he’d just opened.
Chapter twenty-four - The Broom Closet Incidence
“Oh, alright,” I heard James comment, nodding as he turned his eyes away from me and pressed the elevator button.
Chapter twenty-five – News
I couldn’t stop myself; I was feeling so relieved by these news and that smile on his face. I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him. And he did hug me back, and for a moment everything was back to normal.
Chapter twenty-six - An Apology
“It’s fine,” he said curtly, still talking to his book.
