Arrival at King's Cross
‘Don’t worry,’ Albus smiled. ‘You’ll be fine. Everyone’s nervous before they go. At least you won’t get lots of people asking your name!’
On Platform Nine and Three Quarters
‘Daddy, who’s that girl?’ Lily whispered, clutching at his arm. 'What are you doing, Dad?'
Uncle Dudley's Daughter
‘Then we must be cousins too,’ Lily continued. ‘Maybe not proper cousins, but some kind of cousins…'
Lily looked at Harriet with tears in her eyes. ‘You see?’ she said. ‘No-one is going to care who I am! They only care who my dad is. And I can never live up to any of what he did. I won’t be able to do anything at all!’
All About Hogwarts
Harriet looked slightly crumpled again. ‘You’re so lucky that you know so much about, well, everything,’ she sighed. ‘Will you tell me more, please?'
‘Because…’ Harriet began. ‘Because I don’t think my family will ever speak to me again,’ she said all in a rush, with the air of somebody getting the worst over with as quickly as possible.
'I can never be Lily; I’ll always be Lily Potter. I’ll always be Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley’s daughter, and James and Albus Potter’s sister. Unless I do something amazing, I can never be a person in my own right. I’m just somebody else’s relative.’
Lily Luna Potter
Lily felt the old flutterings of panic, but she remembered what Harriet had said earlier and forced them down. ‘Will it really matter if I’m not in Gryffindor?’ she asked Albus hesitantly.
‘So,’ said James, perching on the very end of the other seat and putting his arm around Lily. He looked down at her and Harriet, squashed beside him. ‘Another year gone. How did the two youngest members of the family find it, then?’
