I Watch The Sun Rise
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt from life, it’s that you can never trust anyone who you don’t like at first appearance and even people who seem nice at first always swing round and stab you in the back.
People who show emotion, especially love, any form of love, get hurt. It’s a fact of life. Nothing’s ever going to change that.
Letters from Home
“Look, Potter, this isn’t important. And don’t pretend for a minute that you actually care. I know for a fact that you don’t,” I growl. Yes, I growl. I know. But I’m angry.
James is an enigma. When I’m with him I feel on-edge, as if I never know what he was going to do or say next.
I turn it over in my hand. On the back, lovingly carved in Edwardian script, are the words ‘Hold me forever in your heart and don’t ever let me go.’ I have to squint to make out the letter as they’re miniscule so that the inscription will fit.
I Meet New People
“People only hurt people. Nothing good comes of caring,” I recite, like my own personal mantra. I guess it sort of is.
Freckles, Crups and Too Many Weasleys
“Right, you’ve finally lost it my dear. Off to St Mungo’s for you. What kind of lunatic names a pile of dirty fabric after some Muggle animal? Answer me that,” Molly rages. “You know, if I wasn’t your sister, I’d be running away very fast right now.”
