1: To Change, or Not to Change
Wake up. Breakfast in Great Hall. Torment Slytherins. Get rejected by Lily. Receive detention. Maybe study for exams. Wait . . . something's wrong with that schedule. Besides studying, that is.
2: Working, Planning, and a Touch of Insanity
James has decided that he will come back in seventh year as a new person. Let's see, he'll need a new name, background, personality, interest, and hobies. Hm, James might need a little help with figuring out those little details.
3: Oh, the Bureaucracy of it All!
James has the perfect plan to win Lily (he'll iron out the small details later), but he soon comes across two problems. He needs permission to change from both the school and his parents. Bummer.
4: Unforeseen Variables
The plan is underway. James has his new hiar, eye color, facial features, backstory, attitude, Head Boy badge, unconscious habits, sincere smile . . . Wait. Head Boy badge?!
5: Feast Your Eyes on This
The start of term feast. Always something to look forward to. Sadly, the last year for the Marauders also finds them one member short.
6: First Class Performance
Alright, James thinks, Lily knows Derek exists. And hopefully to make sure he doesn't suffer from the terrible influences of "those Marauders," she will agree to have Derek spend as much time as possible with her. She just has to think this is her idea.
7: A Week of the Weak
With a weekend to recover from his first day of classes, what will happen to our favorite Marauder during the first full week of school? Oh yeah, we'll get to see how James copes with everything too.
8: This Wasn't Part of the Plan
Yup. No doubt about it- Lily must be convinced Derek is a completely different person from James. He's well on his way to winning Lily's heart. Merlin, James hopes he can end this soon.
9: The Full Moon Waits for No Marauder
While Derek Gardens might not be a Marauder, he's still an animagus. And Remus still has more than one 'furry little problem.' Oh, the joys of breaking the rules.
10: Resistance is Futile
Ever since third year, James has always begged Lily to go to Hogsmeade with him. Every time. So Derek, in being totally different from James, should not even ask. But with the excursion fast approaching, how can he resist his natural impulses? This may well be Derek's breaking point.
11: A Date to Remember
He did it! James got that elusive date! But now what? He's never been on a date. And Lily thinks she's going out with Derek. He would have asked his Marauder friends, but they all have other things to do this day.
12: The Next Step
After that first date, everything is going to be easy in regards to James winning Lily's heart. The next step in their relationship will be the easiest thing in the world. Or will it?
13: Quidditch and 'Derek' Should Not Mix
Alright, so winning Lily's heart is taking longer than James anticipated, so he now has to miss out on the first Quidditch game: Gryffindor versus Slytherin. But that's okay. No matter how much James misses the sport and wishes he were back on his broom, he would still rather have Lily.
14: Reaping Havoc on Hogwarts
Missing: one brown rabbit. Last seen fleeing the Gryffindor common room last Friday night. Identifying features: has a habit of wiggling nose and tail in a ‘cute’ way before moving. If found, please return to his owner, Remus Lupin (Danielle Wells will also be willing to claim him).
15: A Very Untraditional Rabbit Hunt
Everyone in Gryffindor knew not to get between a certain blonde and a certain prefect’s pet rabbit. Now everyone in Hogwarts knows that they have to search the school. Over and over and over again. For a cute little bunny rabbit. Because no one wants to get on Danielle’s bad side.
16: Options, Options, My Identity for Options!
What is James to do? He cannot live as Derek Gardens for the rest of his life. But is there any way for him to get his real identity back while keeping the girl of his dreams? If so, James alone can't see it.
17: Normal, But Not Quite Normal
Everything seems to have settled down around James. He got over the hurtle of making Lily his girlfriend. He saw Danielle survive her Quidditch meltdown. All rabbit hunts have been canceled. His friends have returned to their blissful, normal lives. So what else is there to do? Oh, right. That.
18: From Letters to Words
Oh, it's just your normal Friday with your abnormal seventh year Gryffindors. And like any abnormal teenager, they can make the best of a possibly bad situation. Or they can make a good situation worse. Either way, they adapt all of their plans.
19: Not Your Typical Double Date
With a Quidditch match and a Hogsmeade visit scheduled for the same day, it's sure to be a busy day for any Hogwarts student. Add in the fact that the Christmas holiday begins the following week, this promises to be a busy day. And it promises that almost no one will do a scrap of homework.
20: The Truth Shall Set You Free
This is it! The moment we have all been waiting for! The Christmas holiday will begin tomorrow, but in the meantime, our favorite couple shall enjoy the festivities of the Slug Club Christmas Party and may even encounter a surprise or two.
21: Why Do Today What You Can Put Off Until Next Year?
So the Slug Club party didn't go as planned. That's okay, James still has all of Christmas and New Year's to get everything straightened out. Right?
22: Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow
The time has come to say farewell to Derek Gardens.
23: All Good Things Must Come to an End
It was too good to last. Too good to be true. The truth? How could James have thought this was going to be easy? Those are only some of the thoughts haunting him as his brain kicks into overdrive.
Epilogue: The Aftermath
So yeah, it's done. The plan worked itself out (however non-according to plan as it was). What's there left to say or do? Could these eight go through the rest of the term in peace? You'll see . . .
