Beginning to Heal
Tears rolled down Hermione’s cheeks as her heart broke at his words. How as she going to change his mind, when it was so set in the wrong way?
"But it’s always the same. Torture, pain, and fear. I know the whole thing is over, but it doesn’t feel that way. I still feel like there isn’t enough time. Like I’m going to loose everything."
Three Steps Forward, Two Steps Back
Ron looked at her face. She was avoiding his eyes. There was something she didn’t want to share with him.
Back Where We Started
I d-d-don’t understand! It’s supposed to b-b-be over!
Four Years Later
"There is no way I’m giving up on him. Not yet. He is going to come back."
"You're asking me to choose between you and finding your brother -"
Finding an Answer
"It took me this long to figure this out and I know it’s not the best plan but I have to do this. I have to exhaust all the options. He’d do the same for me."
Hermione took a deep breath and turned away from the mirror. She placed her wand in her purse and headed out. She could do this. She could move on. She had to.
Hold Your Breath
"Breathe Hermione, remember to breathe."
Ron’s eyes met Hermione’s immediately. She stopped walking and gazed at him, unsure if she should get any closer. He blinked a couple of times and ran his fingers through his hair. What should he say to her? What could he say to her?
An Unlikely Ally
"Let me be very clear about something first. I don’t want any harm to come to any member of my family. If I help you, things will be on my terms."
More Questions than Answers
"I'm the same Ron you used to know, just with a few improvements."
"Let me explain."
"I already told you. He's fighting, but it isn't enough."
