That's when I first knew she had changed, and definitely not for the better. I didn't know why though. Who was making her think like this? She wanted to wipe out someone was supposed to be her best friend. Someone who was always there for her, not matter what was happening.
"Harry's here already?" I asked, feeling a grin spread across my face at the thought of seeing Harry again. "Yes, but not for the reason he should be, unfortunately. He got attacked...by six Dementors," Sirius said. "WHAT?!"
"Sounds like she's going to melt down soon," Lindsay said, listening carefully to the events that were going on above her. "She's really pissed off though." The conversation was interrupted by two very loud thuds.
"He's much less 'angsty' since he started dating you," Remus noted. "Well," I said, "can you blame him? Just look at me! I would be ecstatic 24/7 if I was dating me!" I received some odd looks. "I'm totally kidding! I'm not that full of myself. I think we should throw Harry a party. Or get him a puppy! Sirius, you should be in your dog form more often."
I cast a cleaning spell on him before going over and hugging him to receive a kiss. When we were apart he handed me something wrapped in festive wrapping paper, and I smiled gratefully. "Thank you," I said as he tangled his fingers with mine. "MOM! DAD! HARRY'S HERE! TRY TO ACT NORMAL FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIVES!"
Harry fell to the ground, writhing in pain. He let out a blood curtling scream of pain, like at the graveyard. "Stop it! Please, just stop it!" I screamed, crying even harder as I knelt down beside him, holding his hand as I tried to give him some sort of ease. "As you wish, princess," He said. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" Harry's once bright green eyes faded to a dull color. There wasn't even an ounce of light left in them. He was dead.
"I'LL GET IT!" I announced in an opera voice before running downstairs, my guitar strapped to my back. I ran to the door, almost falling into the person that stood behind it as I opened it. "Hello," I said, smiling brightly. "Hi, are you Emily Williams?" The woman asked. "Yes, yes I am..." I said, uncertain of what to think.
"Your pitiful begging won't do anything now," Voldemort spat. Harry came running out of nowhere and wrapped his arms around me protectively, telling me that he was here, and that everything was going to be okay. "Don't you even think of touching her," He growled in Voldemort's direction. "Wouldn't think of it as long as you're around," Voldemort sneered. "Avada Kedavra!" I felt his limp body fall into mine and I started screaming and crying even harder.
"Hermione, that is a great goldfish imitation! Anyways, I happen to think it looks really interesting," I said earnestly. "Mind if I take a look?" "Not at all," She said before handing it to me. I flipped through the page and found an article on Nargles. "Emilie, they have an article about nargles!" "Are you serious?" Emilie asked. "Dude! One time I was certain I saw a nargle knicking my Poptarts! Do nargles like Poptarts?"
Back to Hogwarts
"Oh really? I didn't know!" I said, looking thoughtful for a moment. "Oh wait, yes, I did know that." "Miss Williams, you can join Mr. Potter for detention tomorrow night," She said. "Actually, you won't see me because I won't be attending your petty little detention," I said cheekily, smirking at her reaction. "YES YOU WILL YOU FILTHY LITTLE HALF-BREED!" She screamed at me.
"You are bloody evil, you know that, right?" Ron asked, panting slightly because of all the hard work I had put him through. "Yup, and I'm proud of it. That's what you get when you say I can't do something," I said happily. "Bloody evil, I swear," He muttered.
"I-I h-h-have a n-note for E-Emily W-W-Williams fr-from the h-headmaster," He stuttered, receiving a few sympathetic looks from the girls in class. Wait, did he say he had a note for me? From Dumbledore? Surely it couldn't be any Order business, because he would've waited until the end of class for that. I walked up to the front of the class, as was Professor Umbridge. She tried to take the note from Professor McGonagall but she passed it to me before Umbridge could see it.
"Well, we were thinking that maybe," I said, "just maybe, that it's time for us to just to it ourselves." "Do what ourselves?" Harry asked. "Learn Defense Against the Dark Arts ourselves," Hermione said tentatively, afraid that he might blow up again like he has been.
"All of you up!" He barked and we all jumped to our feet, not wanting to know what he would do if we didn't, but also due to the fact that he came from the opposite way we expected him to and frightened us half to death. "All of you go for a five kilmoeter run and then meet back here."
I looked to see Emily rubbing my arm comfortingly. Sure, she wasn't worried. She's been performing and speaking in front of people her whole life, but me? "They just want to hear what you've got to say," Emily whispered soothingly. "You don't even have to do the talking at first. Leave that to Hermione and me." She lightly kissed me on the lips.
Emily let out a horrified gasp and leapt back, her wings instinctively popping out and holding her in the air before she gracefully touched down again. A stubby, short-fingered hand covered in gaudy rings swiped through the fire as if trying to find something. Emily held a finger to her lips and we all bolted for our separate dorms. What we just risked - I couldn't even imagine the results if we had been caught.
"Are you kidding me?!" Emilie demanded, looking at the Gryffindor noticeboard.
Gryffindor Vs. Slytherin
It was the morning of the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin, and everyone was pumped. Everyone except Ron, that is. "I must've been mental to do this," He moaned at breakfast, poking at his food. That was a rare occurence for Ron, so something was definitely wrong.
"I thought that we could have some private time," she said, running a finger along my arm seductively. Her hands snaked their way up my chest and around my neck. Just as she leaned in and kissed me, I noticed a change. It wasn't Emily that I was kissing, but it was Kacey.
"How could you?" She said in barely a whisper, but the intensity of it cut through me like a knife. She turned around and ran away, but I could still hear her crying. I ran after her, calling her name but she wouldn't stop. I knew she was faster than me, but that wasn't going to stop me. I caught up to her and grabbed her by the wrist, turning her around and holding her by the shoulders so she would face me. But that heartbroken face made me want to break down.
"Emily knew what she was getting into when she joined the Order and she won't thank you if you mess things up!" Sirius barked angrily. "You aren't in the Order, Harry, and this is obviously why...there are things you don't understand...there are things worth dying for!"
I was in so much pain. Every part of my body screamed in pain like I've never felt before, but it might be just a little less excruciating than the Cruciatus. Might be.
I glared at him. "I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself," I snapped, lifting them up slowly as they were very, very stiff and crossed them Indian style. "Sorry," he mumbled awkwardly. "I just hate this."
"Wow, this place looks amazing!" I exclaimed as I walked into Grimmauld Place's living room. It was decorated for Christmas and everything looked so cheerful. Sirius was skipping through the house, singing Christmas carols at the top of his lungs and making me laugh.
"Emily!" Derek called, coming over to where I was sitting. "Are you ready for tonight?" "If by 'ready' you mean 'about to faint', then yes, I'm ready," I said, smiling at him. He just shook his head at me.
I woke up to look beside me and find a single red rose on my pillow, with a note attached that red "Good Morning, Sunshine. This is just the first part of your present today. So have a great morning and meet me down in the common room as soon as you’re ready. Love you."
I jumped up from my seats and started screaming and jumping up and down excitedly. I started doing my happy dance but stopped, realizing that all of the Great Hall could see me and was probably staring at me now.
"Dobby has come to warn you...oh, but she said not to..." Dobby said, stricken with an obvious dilemma. "Dobby, I order you to tell me what's happening," Harry said. "She...she," Dobby stuttered and I automatically knew who he was talking about.
I climbed through the portrait hole and saw Harry sitting alone on the couch, attempting his Defense Against the Dark Arts. I snuck up behind him, making sure I was quiet as possible. "Guess who?" I asked in a sing song voice from behind him. I covered his eyes with my hands so he wouldn't see who it was.
"Headmistress," Filch said, holding a piece of parchment. "I've got the form and the whips are waiting...oh how I've waiting for this moment..." Wow, that sounded like a kinky sexual fantasy involving the twins and Filch. Yuck.
"Can yeh guys come with me fer a minute?" Hagrid asked. "Hagrid, can't it wait until after the game? I want to see how Ron does," Harry said. "It can't. It's important that you come while everyone is distracted by the game," Hagrid said and I looked at Harry, pleading for him to come.
"Hermione! Shut up! You are stressing me out!" Ron snapped and she was automatically quiet, but kept shooting glares over at him. "Don't worry! Be happy!" I sang at the top of my lungs, trying to get the message across as we walked in. When that didn't work, I handed the two some candy and told them to eat it and calm down.
I was grabbed from behind, a hand covering my mouth and I started panicking. I couldn't even tell Harry - I was the worst lookout ever! Why wasn't I more careful? I was usually so aware!
"Your Majesty," Ronan said, bowing low before galloping off. "'Your Majesty'? Em, what was he talking about?" Harry asked.
"Harry, it's too late. There's nothing you can do - Sirius is gone," Lupin said, his face filled with pain as he came to accept the fact that his best friend, his brother, had just died. "He isn't gone!" Harry said before bellowing Sirius' name.
