Ch. # Chapter Title Word Count Reviews
    1 Prologue

Oh my god. I actually just used the phrase 'lost in his gaze' in a serious thought.
I may have to go and hurl.

    2 The Beginning

"What is so funny today?" I demanded.
    "I was just thinking."
    "Thinking..."
"Thinking, what would happen if I kissed Dee?"
    ...
    Oh.

    3 Sticky Toffee Pudding

How was I supposed to act when I next saw him? Cool and indifferent? Keen and desperate? Like a complete twit? Well I suppose the latter would be more like the normal me…
    Shut up, brain.

    4 Happy New Year

"Now, what's the most alcoholic beverage I can get you without Freddie cheerfully beating me to death?"

    6,642 24
    5 Holey Socks

    "Give me the sheet."
"Don't you think it's a little late to be thinking about your modesty, Dee?"
    "Give me the sheet, git-face."
"I love it when you sweet-talk."

    6 I See You Staring...

“Dee.” He said suddenly, not looking up.
I jumped and dropped my quill.
    “You’re staring.”
    Caught.

7 Worse Then Better, Worse Then Better

“You know me,” I smiled sardonically, “Can’t get enough of… the…” I squinted at the blackboard, “…draught of living death.”
    Excellent.
That didn't sound at all morbid or creepy.

8 Just Don't Get Your Face-Gunk On Me...

The Great Captain paused in his pacing.

I shrank back under Sirius' arm in case James spat at me again. He reckons it was an accident.

I wouldn't put it past him though.

    9 I Heart Warts...

“Look!” Londy snatched the card from my bag and brandished it about.
    “Oi!”
“What does it say, then?” Blakely asked, thoroughly entertained.
Londy jumped onto the bench as if preparing to read it aloud. Have I mentioned how sensitive and kind my team-mates are?
    “Oh.” She looked stumped. “Nothing.”
“Ah! Sending a card then are we, Little McKinnon?” Ro grinned wickedly.
    “No!”...

    10 Catch Me First...

“Come on, Bud,” He slapped Freddie’s shoulder, “Let’s go.”
“Freddie,” I pleaded, biting my lip to stop my jaw shaking. My brave front was slipping. “Please?”
The lifeless look in his eyes was killing me...

    11 Thirteen Budgies

    “You’re dong it.” She accused.
I choked on my own spit. “Pardon?”
“You’re doing it.” She repeated, louder.
I cast a glance around the room and saw that our dorm-mates had frozen in their morning routines with scandalised looks on their faces.
“Londy!” I hissed, “I am not doing anything,” I reassured the two shocked girls. They weren’t convinced

    12 I'm Fine

“He’s my friend,” I informed Jude, pompously, “He’s a bit good isn’t he?”
“He’s scored nearly all our points, so yeah,”
Has he?” I spun back round in my seat and slipped off it onto the floor. “Oops. Well he is good then, isn’t he? But did you know I’m better? I play Quibbi… I play Criddit… Quiddish. I play Quiddish, you know.”

    13 This Domestic Spell Marlarkey

“Oh come on, Deb,” James said, “I thought it was obvious.”
We’re doomed. They totally knew. And they were going to hate us forever for not telling them. Quite ironic really… on the day that we were going to tell them…

    10,190 27
    14 A 'Thing'

"..How long has this been going on?”
    “Since Christmas,” I admitted.
    “Since Christmas -?” She screeched.
“Well not really Christmas. Well there was a thing, but it wasn’t really until term started up that -”
“I’m sorry,” Londy interrupted, “A ‘thing’?”
Note to self: do not use the word ‘thing’ when telling Freddie. He may or may not spontaneously combust.

    15 Quiet, Man

I stood stupidly between the two of them when no one replied.
    “Okey-dokey, I’ll lead the way.”
Okey-freaking-dokey? I was definitely well on the way to having a nervous breakdown.

    8,227 32
    16 Swimming With Regret

Perfect Marlene, Little Miss Sunshine, the one everyone likes…wants… but can’t have.
Of course, boundaries never meant anything to Sirius.

    6,377 43
    17 All Or Nothing

“What, you haven’t even thought about it? What am I supposed to do, wait? Wait until you do know, is that it?” His voice was raised.
Why did he raise his voice? Was shouting supposed to make me know sooner?
“I hang around until you decide otherwise? It’s not fair. Listen, Dee, we need to sort this out. Either we sort this out now or...”

18 It's All About Reading People

Where the issues with Sirius had made everything else fade into the background, with Ray around I could pack it all away and leave it behind.
It was still there. I hadn’t forgotten or anything.
    It was just easier...

    6,575 53
    19 All Starting Tomorrow

“If the next word out of your mouth is ‘love’ the next thing in it will be my foot.”
