“Do I have to say it? Do I honestly need to explain what I’m talking about? And how I mean it? You were just explaining to me why you were so sorry about cheating on me,” I argue, my temperature rising. “And as soon as a couple pairs of long legs walk your way you completely forget about me!”
“Let’s break him,” she says, at the end of ten minutes. She hands me the parchment and I read off what she’s written.
“Oh. Well, no need to worry about that. We’ll get to know each other just fine,” he winks.
“Blondes or brunettes? You look like a blonde-loving lad, if I do say so myself.” I keep my voice chipper and bright, and maybe a bit taunting, to get the mood back in our conversation.
“I heard you slapped him. Twice.”
“You nervous?” he asks me out of the blue.
“Oh, go have fun, Natalie,” she eye rolls.
“I’m an adorable Hufflepuff geek with a lack of entertainment in my life,” she defends with a laugh. “Gimme a break. I’m expressing my feminism and my hatred towards men in a fun game against horrible ex-boyfriends.”
“What do you think of me?” Sirius almost whispers it. And when I look at him, I know he’s asking me for the truth.
