Boredom and Marriage Proposals
A few people greeted me as I left, walking down the staircase as the lady who normally asked riddles admonished me for waking her up. Smiling, I ignored her and soon found myself at the top of the marble staircase. Nothing in the Entrance Hall or the grounds seemed to interest me, but the library seemed a bit appealing. Knowing that a few essays in Charms were due, but deciding to procrastinate anyway, I entered the library, my mind on a book or two in order to ease boredom. My fingers itched for the piano again, but I didn’t wish to disturb Catherine in her sleep.
Another Day, Another Attack
At lunch that day, the Great Hall seemed quieter than usual and I noticed that the girl who usually sat across from me, Hattie Thomas, was strangely absent. When I took my seat next to Catherine, she didn’t even wait for me to ask, and instead shoved a copy of that day’s paper into my plate as an answer.
