Chapter 1 Confrontations
I marched my way onto the train, leaving no cares, no regrets. Everyone had someone to wave to on the platform. Everyone but me, that is. I found an empty compartment, happy to be alone, and sat myself down. At least I wouldn’t be bothered by anybody. The compartment door flew open.
There's Friendly and Then There's Friendlier
He led me to a shadowed place. His spontaneous acts were becoming more frequent and they became more incredible every time. His hands left my eyes and I looked around. We were under the stands, but there was a small blanket. On the blanket a bouquet of red roses laid next to a box of chocolates and a small box, wrapped in deep purple paper. I turned to him with a smile plastered to my face. He smiled and led me to the set, sitting down. I sat down next to him, kissing him full on the lips in gratitude.
What I Did, What I'm Doing, and What I Plan to Do
I shot off the couch, away from his sleeping form. My eyes filled with tears, burning my cheeks as they rolled. He was gorgeous, he really was. But he wasn’t Fred.
I awoke with a start. A dream. That was all it was. I sighed with relief and smuggled closer to Fred. His arms tightened and he kissed the top of my head. I kissed his chest and opened my eyes. The skin. It was a lot paler than Fred’s. I screamed. It wasn’t a dream!
