The Shopkeeper's Window
A little boy had been stairing at the book for five minutes. He was just tall enough to get a good look at it. His blue eyes scanning the cover, taking in every detail. Wesley tried to hide deeper in the wardrobe, making himself as small as he could, crouched in a tiny ball. The sounds went on for what seemed like hours and Wesley heard everything: every scream, the sound of defeat and the sound of death.
"Where’s your accomplice?" shouted the policeman.
It was only a few seconds later that Wesley awoke, starring into the eyes of his mother.
