Lily groaned and muttered darkly “Potter.” before dropping her head onto the table on her crossed arms. For a few short weeks she had escaped the Potter/Evans madness, and just like that, she was thrown back into it.

“No, Potter!” She growled, without even picking up her head.

“Lucky, lucky, lucky.” She says, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth. A habit she had gotten into during her first year still hasn’t been able to get over it.
“Oh thank god it’s only you, Lily.” Dahlia said, rubbing her eyes with her fists. “I got barely a wink of sleep last night.”
“Just a thought, but maybe that had something to do with you being out until, oh I don’t know… was it 4 in the morning?” Lily asked with a mock interested face.

Lily figured he was going to come up with some stupid prediction about how the lines on her palm said they were destined to fall in love and get married and create mini Potters and Evans, but what she heard was just about worse. "Doodling my name, Evans?"

"WHAT?!" She shouted, snatching back her hand to take a better look at it.
