At the Beginning
I was about to go wander the train, looking for the food cart, but when I opened the door a boy with long dark hair toppled over on top of me. Another boy with black hair and glasses stood in the doorway along with another guy, he had shaggy, sand colored hair and a book in his hands.
“‘Engorgio,’” said James, and the cloak became big enough for all four of us to fit under. We all climbed under and headed down a corridor. I had no idea where we were going, but knowing the Marauders, it was probably somewhere we weren’t supposed to know about.
To Make Her Love Me
“She’s jealous,” Sirius said through a mouthful of mashed potatoes. “Of what? Me?” I asked. “Yes."
Dirty Little Secret
Once we were at the pitch Lily sat in the stands while I headed over to the crowd of Gryffindors. Most of them were chattering girls who were giggling, talking about how good James and Sirius look in their Quidditch robes. I assumed that the majority of them had never touched, let alone ridden a broom.
James and I moved away from their table, as the potion smelled horrible and was now producing a thick pink fog. The fog didn’t seem to be bothering anyone else, but my head started to hurt.
I was still in shock when I walked into class and I wasn’t really watching where I was going. I bumped into something, or rather someone. I dropped my books and was leaning over to grab them when the person I crashed into spoke.
When I woke up sunlight was streaming through the window. Sirius was asleep on the armchair across from me, he dark hair over falling his eyes. Lily was sitting on James’ lap while he played chess with Remus. I looked at my watch again and it was nearly eleven. Crap. I told Daniel I would meet him outside of the great hall at eleven, which gave me about seven minutes.
I Won't Say (I'm in Love)
I looked away from him and turned back to Daniel. He was still getting the butterbeers. I wished he’d hurry up. Why did Sirius have to do that? Be everywhere I am. It’s so annoying since I was trying to avoid him. I turned back to see if Sirius had left. He didn’t.
I woke up some time later to the sounds of footsteps and hushed voices. “There you two are. We were looking everywhere,” said Lily from somewhere across the room. I opened my eyes and saw that Lily, James and Remus were all back from the ball.
What About Now
Mid-thought, I heard a loud rustling in the distance followed by a growl. Standing up cautiously, I reached for my wand form my pocket. It wasn’t there, I had forgotten it. I started to walk back to the castle, in fear of something dangerous coming out of the woods.
The Best Thing
“Nikki! Nikki wait!” Sirius called after me. I didn’t stop running. I was getting soaked and my tears were mixing with the rain. There was a loud clap of thunder and I stopped, I was getting too close to the forest. The last thing I wanted to do was be in there during a storm.
I could’ve sworn that I saw a small speck of gold flutter past me. I tried to follow it, but a bludger hurtled straight at me and I was forced to duck down, loosing sight of the snitch.
"What happened?” I asked. She didn’t answer and motioned for me to follow her into our dormitory. When the door closed, she broke down sobbing. I was trying hard to hold back tears of my own.
“And I think you should take this apology to heart because I don’t give them out often,” I began. “I just want to know one thing, Remus. Why won’t you forgive me? At least tell me that.”
Our Time Now
Sure enough, McGonagall came storming after Sirius and I after a few minutes while we were walking down the corridor to find Lily, James and Remus. “Black! Ryder!” she yelled. The two of us turned around, trying to not to look guilty.
End to End
“That’s the problem,” I cut in. “I don’t think he’ll accept it. I got a letter from him a while ago saying he wanted to try getting back together with a long distance relationship. I didn’t want to turn him down via owl so I didn’t write back. That’s why he stopped getting letters from me a little while ago. I’ll talk to him soon though, I promise.”
“You’re doing fine,” I assured him. “Anyways, I don’t think its advice I’m in need of. It’s a chance to explain everything to Sirius. When Alex kissed me it felt wrong. Anything I had felt with him before was gone and I didn’t like it because it wasn’t Sirius.”
