The Prophet Tells All
While the rest of the world celebrates, a lone girl questions her latest mission and wonders what the days ahead will bring.
Truth or Dare
Hermione pays her first visit to Azkaban Prison and her reunion with Malfoy is anything but happy.
Seven Years and Strange Feelings
Hermione reflects on her first meeting with Malfoy to McGonagall and to Harry and Ron, hardly looking forward to seeing him again, even if she is now determined and curious.
Malfoys and Mudbloods
Somehow, Hermione and Malfoy agree to each other's terms, and Hermione does a little background check on Narcissa Malfoy while Kingsley Shackletbolt informs everyone about the upcoming Auror's Ball.
Two Words: Rita Skeeter
Hermione gets a new lead when it comes to the case, with help from McGonagall and Ron and Harry. Meanwhile, the Order is starting to stand on edge with talk of a Death Eater Reunion spreading around.
A visit to the Daily Prophet building, a superficial chat with Rita Skeeter, and Hermione suddenly finds herself committing her own felony. Seems like she's been spending too much time with Malfoy already.
A revelation from Malfoy concerning one of the murder victims leaves Hermione slightly stunned, while photographs of the crime scene do barely anything for her except give her chills. Along with some words of warning from Harry, Hermione finds herself in desperate need of organization before deciding where to go next.
Curiosity Killed the Cat
Hermione makes three trips, each leading her to the next, and learns new information at each one. This information, however, only leaves Hermione more suspicious than before, as the times of death don't fit, the bystanders' stories don't seem quite honest, and Malfoy's neighbor appears rather violent. It was all her curiosity's fault. And, the cat's.
The Lies and A Truth
Gossip proves to be informative, but when Hermione learns something she had not been expecting, anger is all that is there.
With Malfoy's words torn between fact and fiction, Hermione's about to go all in.
With Scrimgeour's voice on one end and Malfoy's story of October seventh on the other, Hermione can't seem to put her faith into either side. Yet when she finds herself with another Slytherin, the path ahead starts to become a little clearer. That is until she enters her flat and realizes she's not alone.
Set Up to Fall
When Hermione awakens only to learn of a death, the time she lost seems irrelevant. But her case with Malfoy won't stay still, as she and Blaise discover two unexpected things that could change everything.
Following the trail of a dead man can only lead to trouble, especially when working with someone she can barely trust. What Hermione doesn't realize, though, is just how close to home trouble can get.
Reservations and resolutions are equally made, but not before Hermione has a trip with her temper. Between fighting with Blaise and confronting Malfoy, the fact that she fears what is to come can only take shape at night, when she knows what it is she has to do.
