Ch. # Chapter Title Word Count Reviews
1 Prologue

"Who's there?!" the girl shouted, trying her best to keep her voice steady. She whirled around to find an all too familiar figure standing in front of her. She knew she should have ran, but instead she just stood there frozen, staring at the wand pointed at her. The girl opened and closed her mouth a few times before shaking her head silently, the tears beginning to form in her eyes. "And you Brutus?"

The man just stared back, his face emotionless. The girl's humor in sticky situations always seemed to surprise him. "I'm sorry. Avada Kedavra!"

2 Further Investigating

“Young female. 19 years old. Light brown hair, chocolate brown eyes. The victim was wearing a black silk dress and was carrying a black clutch. She was armed with her wand and there is no signs of a struggle.” The young detective muttered quietly in her hand held recorder. She narrowed her eyes, pausing a moment in thought before walking up the girl lying on the ground. She slowly bent down next to her. “We haven’t found identification of the victim but we should be getting…”

3 Revenge is Sweet

Sophie sat back in her chair, eyeing the man in front of her. Her thoughts soon drifted towards the letter that was folded carefully in her pocket. She sat back up and peered at him over her glasses. “Did you ever want revenge?”

Ron looked her straight in the eye before replying.

“I still do.”

4 Confessions and Revelations

“Don’t worry old friend,” the owner of the flat said with a small, mysterious, smirk, “I am not worried one bit. They are all too idiotic to figure it out.”

“But that detective…”

“The detective is no where near to solving the mystery,” the man interjected. He laughed at his friend’s stupidity and extinguished his cigarette into the ashtray next to him. “Besides, if that little wench was smart, she’d figure out when to stop.”

5 Solving the Problem

Rounding the corner that led to Knockturn Alley, she ran straight into a tall man, causing her to lose her balance and fall forcefully to the ground. When she realized who it was, she grumbled slightly and stood up. Brushing the dirt from the back of her coat, she raised her eyebrows.

“You could have helped me up you know,” she muttered, walking past him.

6 Epilogue

The air was filled with anticipation as a large crowd waited for the answers to their burning questions. Everyone was impatient, filling the time whispering with their neighbors about what they had heard. Rumors began to spread like wild fire and after waiting for a mere thirty minutes, no one could tell the difference between the fictional and possibly real stories.

As soon as the head of the detective department in the Ministry stepped behind the podium, the crowd fell silent. The detective took a few moments to adjust his papers while he fingered his gray mustache.
