It was my last and final year at Hogwarts. I had become Head Girl and was dating Ron. Everything was going well until that unforgettable day came. My relationship with Ron was perfect. We did everything together. I told him everything. I was there to support him during his bad times and he supported me during mine. I thought nothing could come in between our relationship but obviously I had thought wrong.
I walked back into the Zabini mansion and threw myself onto my bed. I closed my eyes and thought back to that incident at Diagon Alley. “It’s her.” I said to myself not realising that Blaise had just walked into my bedroom. “Who’s who?” “Granger. She’s the girl that’s been haunting my dreams.”
I woke up and started getting ready for the first day back to class. I walked over to the table Draco and I was sitting at last night and went through all the parchment in search of some spare. I came across a piece of parchment and turned it around to see if it was blank. It was a letter. I had just finished reading it when Draco sleepily walked into the common room. “What are you doing?” He mumbled as he stumbled towards the couch. ‘I’m … umm … just tidying up. I’ve got o meet Ginny.” I quickly slipped the parchment back onto the table and walked out of the common room.
After realising what I had just said, I turned red with embarrassment. I turned to face Ron and Harry who were gawking at me mouths hanging open. I turned to Draco who was so annoyingly sitting back and inspecting his fingernails. Fate starts playing evil tricks on Hermione and Draco...
I got up and followed him closer towards the door. He gently put his ear against the wooden door and a smirk formed across his face. I battled a battle of my own in my mind. Did I want to hear what they were saying or should I resect their privacy?
The cold air ran shivers down her spine as she walked into the common room. The tears fell one by one warming her red cheeks. She ignored everyone that walked past her despite the strange and curious looks she received. His words ran through her mind like a whirlwind. Her thoughts were filled with the cruelty that escaped his lips. She threw herself on her bed, her sobs aching her chest. Then she felt a hand crawl up her back and rest just under her neck comfortingly stroking her back up and down. Slowly her crying ceased and she turned to look at the person besides her.
He stood only steps away from me as we drowned in the silence once again. I let out a shiver and wrapped my cloak tighter around me. “I’m going to bed.” My voice came out in a low whisper.
