She stuck her hands back in her pockets and turned around, her key still in the door. Another peal of thunder drowned out the baby’s cry, but it didn’t matter. Adriana found the source of the cry. Bundled in red blankets, lying in her garden, was a baby with a shock of brilliant red hair.
Suddenly, to everyone’s open-mouthed surprise, the book flew out of Katie’s hand and knocked Carina’s captor on the back of the head. She released Carina, who snatched up her book and stared at Katie and her gang, who were goggling at her in surprise.
Carina tried to scream through the man’s hand, but it was useless. No one would hear her in the roaring wind. She struggled to release herself from the man’s grip, but her efforts were futile. With on hand on her wrist and the other over her mouth, he dragged the screaming girl away from her house and towards the street.
“You are destined to finish what your father started,” he finally said. “You have to defeat him.”
"Why aren't you concerned? You could be a traitor-"
“The secret to Occulemency is not blocking your mind, but controlling what the Legilemens sees,” continued Snape, twirling his wand and pacing.
“So the Dark Lord killed someone, and made a Horcrux. That’s what’s keeping him immortal.”
Behind the desk was a shelf with seven perfectly lined up, identical bottles. Each was filled with a different color liquid. It wasn’t the fact that the seven bottles were the only thing that was clean in the room that caught Carina’s eye. It was the bottle at the very end, a bottle that seemed to be almost glowing, a silvery-blue.
