Death of a Champion
Thanks to LostPessimista for the great banner! Is it possible to still be alive once your heart stops beating? The tale of a young girl trying to cope with the sudden loss of her best friend and learning through her sorrow that its okay to let go, and move on. It just takes time and a little help from a friend.
Overwhelming Bitterness// Due to Cedric’s death, classes have been cancelled for the remainder of the week, and an assembly will be held in the Great Hall in his honor. It’s just what I needed, to be in a room surrounded by a bunch of people, and their fake sympathy.
Comforting the Rival
Comforting the Rival// Silently, I watched her cry, feeling a little envious that she could cry so openly when I couldn’t, no matter how much I wanted to. “I just can’t believe he’s gone…” she cried, drying her cheeks with the back of her hand, “I never… I never…I never got…”
Empathy For the Brat
Empathy For the Brat// “What are you doing, brat?” a voice from my bedroom door asked. My gaze slowly made its way to where Jack was standing, his arms crossed over his chest, brown eyes staring into mine, questioningly. Had I left the door open? How long had he been there? I frowned, looking back at the wall. “Mom wants to know if you’re hungry, she said to come downstairs and eat.” I didn’t want food; I was tried. I wanted to rest.
Heroes Never Die
Heroes Never Die// That’s when I felt it- the anger. It was like a bubble in my chest wanting to explode. I couldn’t understand why I was so angry all of a sudden. What had triggered it? Perhaps it was the thought of Cedric being alone in the ground with nothing but the clothes on his back. He wouldn’t be able to enjoy nice weather, flying, playing Quidditch or anything else. The bubble grew and grew.
