"Blonde hair, blue eyes, the hottest guy in their year as much as she hated to admit it. Draco Malfoy." Hermione is forced to serve Draco when he comes into her store for the second time.
Hermione and Ginny plan to go to a nightclub but go to a clothing shop in Diagon Alley to get something to wear first. Draco and his father enter. Sparks fly...
Draco encounters Hermione again at the Grovery Store. He buys a trolley full of meat...which is Hermione's worst nightmare...
Banner by Naya_xox. Love it so very much! What if he did like her? What would she do? ‘Don’t be a bloody idiot Hermione. Get a hold of yourself! Draco Malfoy, like you! Yeah, when I’m the last person on earth...if that.’ she thought angrily to herself. Why had she been thinking stupid things lately? It was not like her.
Draco tries to tell Hermione about Dan's cheating tendencies. 'She was scared. She had never felt so scared in her life. Draco Malfoy…love her?'
'Her cute freckles on her cheeks, her chocolate brown eyes, so trusting and yet daunting all the same. He could smell her fruit scented hair, his senses becoming hazy. Her rather well developed body and how her uniform suited her so well. She was beautiful, not even an enemy could deny that.' Has Draco developed feelings for Hermione? Dan and Hermione go on their first date. Hermione fins out the truth...
Draco is up to his tricks again. This time it's a little different. See if you can guess what he's done. :)
She felt herself getting closer to him and not in just a physical sense. She was beginning to understand why he acted like he had all those years. She was understanding the enemy. The saying was ‘Keep your friends close and your enemies closer’ But she was sure it did not mean physically closer. Apparently this did not apply to Draco Malfoy...
Hermione’s heart began to hammer again. She was scared by the mad glint in his eye and his ever-approaching body. ‘Oh please don’t do this. I don’t want to. Don’t! Don’t!’ her mind pleaded to Draco, although she knew he could not hear her.
‘Someone’s looking at me.’ the thought suddenly struck her. She could feel it and it was disturbing her. She looked around, slowly driving the trolley as she did so. Her heart was racing. What if it was him? What if he was going to pull another stunt to get her?
“You know why I’m here so let’s not waste out breath pretending. I always get my way Granger. If it means playing along with your facade for awhile so be it but I will get what I want.” he told her confidently and in a dangerous tone that indicated what he said was truly how he felt.
Without any warning she felt lips pressed against her own. She was surprised by their warmth but did not think on this long when she realised that she recognised the kiss. Being only kissed by two people in her life, Krum and Malfoy, logic brought her to the conclusion that it was Malfoy who was her attacker.
He opened the locker door further out. There were so many photos stuck on the inside of the door to her locker. Most of them were of the golden trio. Draco was not as effected by those as he was with the ones of her family. An old looking one caught his attention. A much younger Hermione Granger, of perhaps seven or eight, with her mother and father. There was a baby too, being held by her mother.
She watched him with fear as he held out his wand, his eyes giving off the impression that they were shooting sparks. He aimed his wand at her but at the very last moment as he yelled his spell, he directed the wand off to the fridges next to her. The glass doors shattered into a million pieces, the sound ear splitting. The customers left, ran out of the store screaming...
She was a mess. Cuts graced her face like someone had grabbed a sheet of glass and smashed it across her face. Hermione could not help but gape at all of thousands of minuscule cuts. She had never been one to care about her appearance but still...cuts on her face! “If he is capable of doing this, what do you think he’ll do next? Mad I tell you Hermione, he’s mad.” Ginny said gravely, placing the mirror back in its place. Hermione could not cry. It hurt too much to cry. It hurt too much to do anything.
“So let me get this straight. You, Hermione Granger of Gryffindor, want to be with me, Draco Malfoy of Slytherin?” he emphasised their names and especially the Gryffindor and Slytherin part. He still could hardly believe his ears. She was flushed by his putting the situation so simply. She nodded though.
Hermione could feel herself burning up, her patience slipping and her anger nearing boiling point. How dare that son of a death eater interfere with things he knew nothing of? Snape turned to Hermione who gave a weak smile. She could see Draco over Snape’s shoulder having a good old chuckle with his goons.
Immediately she was stunned. She could not breathe. She could not move. Inside the room there were thousands of candles and roses. In the middle was a table set for two and what looked like a meal. Soft music played harmoniously from an unknown source. The floor was covered in rose petals. And standing right in the middle was none other than Draco Malfoy.
The dinner was the only memory that he wanted to erase forever. She had denied love for him in all of his other memories yet it was that night that hurt him most. Somehow he knew there was no more, ‘them’. She had meant every word she had said and that was the end of it.
Chapter Twenty One
Ginny shrugged, “Well I don’t trust you Malfoy. I know everything that has happened between you. I know about your dinner and what Hermione said. I’ve been friends with Hermione for so long I know her back to front. She wants you there right now Malfoy.” Ginny made her last plea. If he refused to come then she would stop. But she was determined to bury the hatchet between those two.
Chapter Twenty Two
She turned to him, “Why do you think?” she lifted her hand which was still holding onto his so they could both see, “This.” She began, “I wanted my life back but I’ve since realized that I can never get it back to the way it was. Even if you ignored me and treated me like you used to treat me. I would still remember those times…” The chapter you have all been waiting for :) I'm sure you'll like it. Hehe.
Chapter Twenty Three
“We can’t get you out of this Draco. I’ve never heard of a spell that protects you from the dark mark.” Hermione sniffed. Draco would become a death eater and there was nothing she, he or anybody could do about it.
Chapter Twenty Four
After a few more silent moments passed, Professor Dumbledore broke the silence, speaking directly to Draco, “ Mr. Malfoy, I wonder…would it be too much to ask, for you to tell Miss. Granger what your true agenda as when you met her this summer?”
Chapter Twenty Five
Hermione wanted to laugh at the irony of the situation unfolding. She, of all people, was depressed because she had not seen Draco Malfoy for two days! Bloody hell, only this time last year she would have been glad never to see the pompous git again. Now she missed him? No she did not miss him. She craved for him. She longed for him.
Chapter Twenty Six
He nuzzled at her beck and she released a nervous giggle, “Promise me.” He looked up and softly caressed her right cheek with his left hand. “Promise me you’ll be mine forever.” He half requested, half ordered. His ice blue eyes had that made glint in them again.
Chapter Twenty Seven
"No. Would you just open it for Merlin’s sake?” he handed her one of the boxes. It had a little white bow on it. She undid it and opened the box. It was a ring. She looked up at him and back down at the ring, her mouth hanging open. It was beautiful in a medieval way. The band was of metal and it had a stone of green emerald, which was held, in place upon the band with thick metal.
Chapter Twenty Eight
He grabbed the nearest thing to him, which happened to be a large vase and hurled it at the fireplace. It smashed into a thousand pieces. The crashing sound seemed to make him feel happier. He was releasing his anger. If he could not beat Ronald Weasley to a pulp then he would destroy anything he could see.
Chapter Twenty Nine
Her lungs tightened and she could barely breathe. He had told her that if she was ever in danger he could be by her side instantly. Hopes that he still loved her were slowly fading. He honestly believed that she had willingly betrayed him. He did not care that she was in danger. He hated her.
The Great War is upon them and Draco has become a Death Eater. Hermione is trying to put him behind her but he finds her while they are all fighting. “Draco I loved you, I still love you. If you cannot accept that I did not kiss Ron willingly and that I was not having an affair then this.” She pointed between them, “Is over.” Draco took a step toward her and hissed, eyes flashing dangerously, “It was over a week ago when you kissed him…willingly.”
Chapter Thirty One
She would go on for the rest of her life wondering if their forbidden relationship would have lasted, if he had loved her as much as he had him and worst of all, how many more wonderful moments they could have shared had he lived.
