""Good night, Hermione, Ginny" Harry yawned, before trooping up the stairs.

"'Night, Harry" Hermione and Ginny said.

It was silent for a moment, before Ginny spoke ,"He was so scared. You should have seen his face" Ginny laughed, popping a piece of popcorn in her mouth.

Hermione smiled weakly, "What did you do, Gin?"

"Bat Bogey, Rictusempra ,Avis Oppugno, then a stinging hex" Ginny smiled, twirling her wand between her fingers.

Hermione grinned, "Brilliant", she giggled..

Ginny giggled with her, before sighing, and looking off out the window. "He is sorry, you know."

Hermione snorted, "Ron?"

Ginny shook her head, frowning, "George."

Hermione cocked her head to the side, "Oh."

Ginny continued, "George is.." she paused, "He's afraid of losing you. Like he lost Fred."

Hermione paled, but listened as Ginny started talking again.

"He loves you, Hermione. We all thought he'd ask you out after the war, but with Fred dying.." Ginny trailed off, "He loves you, Hermione" she repeated.

Hermione was silent for some time, "I used to have these dreams, Ginny, where I'd be sitting in the back yard of a house, with a baby in my arms, and my head resting on a man's shoulder" she paused, "The baby had red hair. I assumed that the man was Ron, and that maybe this would be our future. Now I think it could be George."

Ginny smiled, "That'd be nice."

Hermione nodded, "It would be" she said softly.

Ginny stood suddenly, "Merlin, I forgot! Hermione, Harry and I are engaged!"

Hermione grinned, "I know! He let it slip while he was painting my nails."

Ginny smiled, "He's quite good at painting nails, isn't he?" she laughed.

Hermione nodded, smiling, "Well let's see it then, the ring."

Ginny held out her left hand, blushing slightly as Hermione studied the ring.

It was a simple silver band with three Diamonds, "It's beautiful" Hermione whispered.

Ginny grinned, and slipped the band off, "It says Amore, on the inside of the band."

Hermione stared at the word, Amore, love. She bit the inside of her cheek. Where was her love? She imagined herself, wearing a band similar to Ginny's, walking down the aisle her hand on Harry's arm. She smiled vaguely, when her eyes met fiery red hair. Then she nearly started sobbing, when she noticed another head of hair, on a man identical to her love, standing off to the left side.

"Fred", she breathed.

Ginny looked up, slipping the ring back on her finger, "What was that?"

"Nothing, it was nothing" Hermione whispered.

Ginny nodded, "You miss him."
Hermione's head snapped up, "What?"

Ginny smiled, "Fred."

Hermione nodded, "I loved him like a brother. He was always nice to everyone. I felt terrible when he died" she whispered.

Ginny pulled her knees up to her face, and rested her chin on them, "We all miss him, Hermione."

Hermione was silent for some time, thinking of the way the ginger had died, a smile on his face. She sighed quietly, closing her eyes and thinking of his short ginger hair, and the way his eyes sparkled. Hermione smiled, he had been such a happy man.

"How do I look?" Hermione glanced over at Ginny and Harry, who beamed at her.

"You look wonderful, Hermione," Ginny breathed.

"Our little bookworm is growing up," Harry sighed, wiping fake tears from his eyes.

Hermione rolled her eyes, "Thanks, guys."

They sat in comfortable silence before a small popping sound came from the kitchen.

"Anyone home?" George called out.

"We're in here, George" Ginny smiled at Hermione, who had sprung from his chair the moment she had heard his voice.

George appeared in the doorway to the living room, dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans, a purple dress shirt, and a black coat. He held a small box in his left hand, and his wand in his right.

He grinned sheepishly, "You look beautiful, Hermione."

"Thank you" Hermione ducked her head, her cheeks blazing red.

"Ready to go, then?" George held out his harm to her, and she gently placed her hand in the crook of his elbow, she nodded.

"You have her back here at exactly eleven, Mister Weasley" Harry glared, standing up straighter, he managed to slightly frighten the Weasley, despite the difference in their height.

He nodded, "Yes sir."

Ginny rolled her eyes, "Have fun, you two."

"Bye," Hermione called, before George disaparated.

Hermione stumbled slightly as they appeared in Diagon Alley, not used to the added height her heels gave her.

George caught her, and gently held her arm until she had found her balance.

"Okay?" He asked, Hermione nodded, "Right, let's go eat."

He steered Hermione into a fancy restaurant at the very end of the alley, right near where Nocturn Alley began.

The hostess showed them to their table, and their waiter brought them some water. After a few minutes they both ordered, and settled in to wait for their meals.

"So.." Hermione began.

"I'm sorry" George sad quickly, "I was stupid, Hermione...I made a mistake, please forgive me?"

Hermione smiled quietly, "Damn Weasley's, you can't say no to the them," she sighed, "Yes George, I forgive you."

George beamed, and took her hand in his, squeezing slightly as he said, "I've the best night planned out" he paused, grinning wickedly, "Although, I think you won't be going back to Godric's Hollow tonight."

"George!" Hermione squawked, blushing furiously.

He grinned, "I thought I might, 'Do your hair' again," he roared with laughter at the brunette's mortification, earning several annoyed glances from other tables.

"Maybe I could, 'do your hair' too, George" she said finally, overcoming her embarrassment.

George raised an eyebrow, "I'd like that."

The rest of the dinner continued with light teasing, until George announced that they had to get to stage two of their date.

He swung their hands back and forth as they walked, humming quietly.

"Where are we going, George?" Hermione yawned.

"You'll see," he said.

"How much longer, my feet hurt" Hermione whined.

George laughed quietly, "Okay, okay. Hang on."

He turned to face her, and threw her over his shoulder, grunting with the added weight, as he drew his wand.

"George? You aren't going to dump me in the pond again are you?" Hermione asked suspiciously, before shifting, so she was on his back, her arms clutching his shoulders. She nestled her face into the crook of his neck, breathing in his scent.

"No, I'm going to take you somewhere else" he whispered, before disaparating.

They appeared in the middle of an apple orchard.

She slid off his back, and turned in a circle. Her sight landed on a blanket lined with jars that held flickering blue  flames.

A pair of arms slid around her waist, "Do you like it?" he whispered in her ear, his hot breath making her shiver.

"Yes" Hermione said, as George walked her to the blanket, lowering them both down, until he hovered above her.

"I'm sorry," George whispered again, leaning down and kissing her neck.

"George..It's okay.." Hermione trailed off, locking her arms around George's waist.

"Okay, love" George said, before pressing his lips to hers.

They stayed like that for some time, before pulling apart for air. George grinned down at her.

"I have something for you" hey leaned down to pepper kisses all over her shoulders.

"Oh?" Hermione asked, running her fingers through his hair.

George sat up again, "Close your eyes" he ordered.

Hermione nodded and did, stiffening when she felt him move behind her, pushing her hair out of the way. Something cold settled on her warm skin making her shiver.

"Open" George whispered.

Hermione looked down at the necklace, which held a single charm. It was a book with the title 'Hogwarts, a History.'  ON the cover rested a tiny wand, that looked to be shooting sparks.  She glanced up at George, "It's beautiful, George, thank you."

"Look" George nodded his head down at the wand, which continued to spew sparks. Hermione watched as the sparks formed in the air to spell out 'I love you.'

Hermione smiled, blushing, she turned to George and threw her hands around his neck.

"I love you, George" She whispered into his neck.
