~Alexis' POV~

"YOU'RE PREGNANT!? Lily screamed and I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"Nooooo," I laughed, "Not that." They seemed to get the hint that what I was going to say was serious.

"I have the Second Sight."

No, the world did not end and no, the girls didn' shun me.

"ou're serious, aren't you?" Alice said. I nodded.

"But why tell us now?" Lily asked. That night's nightmare came rushing back to me.

I couldn't do this. I couldn't tell Lily that I knew her future and I knew how she was going to die.

I just can't.

"Because you guys are amazing friends and I just wanted to tell you." It sounded like a blatant lie, even to my ears.

But what was I supposed to say? "Lily you're going to die protecting yours and James' son named Harry?"

No.

I would tell them when James started pestering me.

Yes, that is what I would do.

"So how long have you known you've had the Second Sight?" Lily asked when the Hogwart's Express started moving.

"For as long as I can remember. I don't even know a time when I didn't have my dreams," I shrugged.

"So what have you seen?" Alice asked the dreaeds question. I immediately felt guilty that I knew so much of Lily's future. I should have asked Dumbledore what to do. He knew that I knew what was going to happen to my friends and he never said I couldn't say?

"Bonjourno!" a voice cried as thecompartment door slid open. We looked up to see the four Marauders walking in.

"So how was everybody's holiday?" Remus asked.

"I got a Cleansweep for Christmas!" I cried.

"What? Are you joking?! That is so unfair!" Prongs cried from next to Sirius.

"It is so amazing!" I laughed, "I flew sooo much!"

"So does this mean you'll be joining the team?" James asked eagerly.

"Um...no. I mean, you don't still have a spare position, do you?" I asked. Wondering what I would say if they did have an open position.

"Hughes is playing but I think he wants to quit," James said.

"I wouldn't want to push him out of a place that he worked for," I hesistated. The boys dropped the subject, probably remembering the fit I had last time when they wouldn't leave me alone.

Lily and James started flirting with each and Remus gave me pointed look and rolled his eyes.

A few times I tried to catch Sirius' gaze but he was clearly avoiding me.

Maybe talking to the boys wouldn't be such a bad idea- they would get to know the truth and maybe then Sirius would be willing to work this out.

If he still wanted to be with me, that is. I did call him a player after all. But seriously, what was with him trying to get me a star?

The chatter surrounded me and I started to feel drowsy so I closed my eyes for a little rest but I was scared that some other horrible dream would come to me.

I didn't want to See anymore.

~Sirius' POV~

I avoided looking even in her direction. I mean, what was I supposed to say?

I hated it when I didn't know where I stood with people I cared about.

I heard the conversation around me but I just looked out the window. Outside, snow was gently swirling to the ground.

"I got a Cleensweep for Christmas!" I heard Rosie cry. I felt jealously bubble up in me.

"What? Are you joking?! That is so unfair!" Prongs yelled.

"It is so amazing! I flew so much!" She laughed. I wanted to ask her everything about the broom but, of course, I didn't.

I wanted to ask her where we stood but I wanted to wait until we wee alone. That way, I wouldn't be publically humiliated.

I stole a quick glaced at Rosie out of the corner of my eye. Her head was drooping as her eyes slowly shut. Her head slowly jerked up and she blinked, as if trying to keep awake.

She repeated this process a few more times until I think she eventually fell asleep.

~Alexis' POV~

A man with wild black hair and sunken in cheeks sat hunched at the corner of his cell.

For one kept in the highest security prison the wizarding word had to offer, he was oddly alert.

But there was another scent that clung to him: hope.

For this man was not any ordinary prisoner of Azkaban: he was an innocent one.

He never killed Peter Pettigrew.

Pettigrew may have betrayed James and Lily and hence Remus and Sirius, but Sirius did not kill Pettigrew.

In fact, Pettigrew wasn't even dead.

But leaving him well intact- except perhaps for a thumb- was not what Sirius now considered a fair trade for James' and Lily's lives. Harry would never know his parents and it would be all Pettigrew's fault.

Sirius wanted revenge on him- he wanted Pettigrew dead.

And Sirius knew the way to get out of this horrid wretched stinking place.

Oh, yes, Sirius Black would not be staying in Azkaban for one more day.

He changed into a black dog.

Once upon a time, the dog's coat had shined and it was well mucscled but now it was ragged and its ribs stood out.

The dog was so skinny that it managed to slip through the bars of its cell.

Large figures in tattered black robes turned to the dog. Sirius felt a chill go through him. They were his jail gaurds.

Sirius had seen many evil prisoners turn into a mad mumbling mess but he knew they would not harm him for they could not feel animal's emotions as well as humans.

The dementors glided silently Sirius and for the first time, he thought that maybe he was wrong.

The silent figures surrounded Sirius and pressed in on him. Sirius felt neauseous.

He wanted to throw up. He wanted to lie down and make the pain go away.

He didn't want to be cold anymore. He didn't want to be starving. He didn't want to be a wrongly accused prisoner.

Sirius the dog lay down on the cold stone floor. He let out a small whimper. He closed his eyes and gave up all hope of ever escaping.

The black dog lay there for what felt like days-but it could have just been minutes or even seconds.

It waited for death to finally take him but he was left alone, save for the dementors but they could hardly be couted as company.

Eventually the dementors lost interest in the dog and wandered off and Sirius was left on the floor as a mass of shivering dog: the scent of hope was now gone.

A tear leaked out of Sirius the dog's eye as he recalled happier times. He thought of James and Rosie and Lily and Remus. He missed them so much. He wanted things to go back being like how they were.

But that was more than a life time ago. Now he was just an escaping innocent prisoner: life no longer held meaning or purpose.

The woman he loved had died; his best friend and hishis best friend's wife had been murder by the betrayal of another friend while his only alive friend thought he was the one who had betrayed his best friend and his wife.

There was nothing left for Sirius except death.

Something ticked over in the back of his mind. There was a boy.

Harry.

As the last momory of James and Lily, he was still alive.

Sirius was Harry's godfather. He had sowrn to protect and help Harry.

He still had a purpoe to be on this earth.

Slowly, the dog pushed itself back onto its paws and staggered toward what it thought was the exit.

~Sirius' POV~

She started screaming. She was stll asleep when she started shaking- just like that time in Charms.

She fell onto the floor but still she didn?t wake up. She curled into a small ball and let out a small shriek.

"Al!" Lily leapt off the seat. "Wake up! WAKE UP!" Alice had joined her on the floor and soon all of us were kneeling around Rosie.

"C'mon, Rosie," I whispered and took her hand, "Wake up."

And just like that, her eyes opened.

"Oh my Merlin!" she gasped and lept straight up and hugged me.

"You're ok!" she sobbed as she hugged me so tightly it was slightly choking. I didn't say anything but just hugged her back. I don't know what happened but I knew that she at least still cared about me.

"Of course, I'm ok. Why wouldn't I be?" I whispered. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Lily shoot Alice a subtle look. What was going on?

"I just-just...nothing. Don't worry," she said.

"You were screaming a lot," James said, "Are you sure you're ok?"

"I'm fine," she insisted and sat down properly on a seat. Alice kept trying to catch Rosie's eye subtly but she was failing dismally.

"Something's up," I finally said after about 10 minutes of meaningful eye gestures and nudges and coughing between Lily, Alice and Rosie. Lily and Alice both turned to Rosie.

"No," she said automatically. Huh? What was this about?

"I think they should know!" Alice bust out.

"No," Rosie said again.

"They're your friends to!" Lily wheedled. Rosie bit her lip and looked away. I wanted to tell Lily to shut up because didn't she realise that she making Rosie upset? I didn't like anyone who made her upset.

"You can tell us anything!" James exclaimed in his 'I know that you have something to tell me and I roughly know what it is about but I want to know more' voice.

Rosie let out a sigh and fiddled a bit with her hair.

~Alexis' POV~

I twirled my hair around my finger to by myself sometime.

What do I do? What do I do? What was I supposed to do?

I was sick of secrets and lies.

All my life I have pretended I was normal and I didn't have the Second Sight but if they accepted Remus for being a werewolf then why wouldn't they accept me? I just wanted to stop pretending.

I wanted to be me. I wanted to be able to look them in the eye and not feel guilty about what I knew.

But as always, people do silly things at silly times and I just kept quiet.
