chapter one: Introductions are made.
My name is Lorrie Ahurewa Smith. I am sixteen years of age, in my sixth year at Hogwarts. At the start of my fifth year, my family moved from England, back to New Zealand; where I was born.
An.. accident happened, just before fifth year started. Me and Ronnie were outside near a mine when the explosion happened. He jumped in front of me to save me, before disappearing without a trace.
Then dad thought it would be a good idea to move then, to forget about how we almost died. I was leaving my screwed up life behind, a life I had took so long to built up within my years at Hogwarts. So no one could hurt me.
I had friends. Best friends. Rose, Al and Dom. I had an ex boyfriend; James Potter. We were still best friends after that, it was a clean break.
Ronnie felt like he had to protect me in some ways, so he gave me advice.
My mums name is Ahorangi Airini Smith.
My dads name is Aperahama Atawhai Smith.
In England, we are what you would call "Pureblood's". I'm in Gryffindor, but dad still loves me the same, so does mum.
I have a cat called Ziggy.
I have an owl called Salone.
Tomorrow is September first, I'll be returning to Hogwarts for the first time in a year.
I'm nervous as hell.
I wonder if anyone will remember me. I hope not.
I want to start new. Clean. Fresh.
I will no longer be called the 'Party girl' or the 'fat girl'. I'll just be Lorrie. No one else.
Oh I forgot my brother.
His name is Ronnie Arapeta Smith.
He can be kind, smart and funny. But Ronnie is mean, and cruel. He was also put in Gryffindor.
I'm also a Metamorphmagus. I'm supposed to feel special, but I don't. I feel like a freak of nature, unnatural. Ronnie says so.
Also I have a eating disorder. But I like to think I don't.
But Ronnie tells me otherwise.

"Bye baby, I'll miss you, stay safe." Mum cried as she hugged me to her chest, while patting my hair like a dog. Woof. Dad on the other hand, hardly made contact at all.
"Remember, if anyone gives you trouble, tell me okay? Love you princess." Dad said gruffly, before blundering me into a bear hug.
"Bye, love you," I called out as I made my way onto the train, trying to ignore the stares that were coming my way. Giving them small smiles, I walked down the hallway, trying to find an empty compartment . After five minutes, of searching, I found one near the back of the train.
Sighing with relief, I entered and flung my trunk in the nearby holder, before flopping down on the seat and resting my feet on the seat opposite.
"I told you there were no compartments left!"
"Oh calm your tits woman!"
"Don't you tell me to calm my tits, you overly frustrated git!"
Oh.. that's interesting.
My compartment door slid open, revealing a red headed girl. "I'm sorry, can we sit-" She trailed off when she saw who occupied the compartment. "Oh.My.God." She whispered, wide eyed.
"Hey.. Rosie.." I mumbled awkwardly, tugging at the hem of my shirt.
You see.. there's a weird friendship between me and her.
We downright loathed each other up until second year, when I took the blame for something she did. That was the start with our friendship. We were like sisters, but when I left at the start of fifth year, we left on bad terms.
"James! GET YOUR RUDDY ASS IN HERE NOW! DOM, YOU TOO!" She screeched like a banshee.
Ah, Dom. Me and her are like twins. While Rosie here hated me, Dom downright loved me to bits.
And then there's James. In forth year, me and him dated for nearly the whole year, then it ended, just like that. No explanation, he couldn't even bring himself to say it to my face. Ronnie had to tell me. But me and James agreed to be friends.
Rose sat across from me, waiting for James and Dom. It was very awkward between me and Rose.
At last, Dom came in, followed by James.
"hey Rosie who's thi-" He stopped, his eyes widening like a fish.
"Hello Lorrie," James murmured, quietly, sitting next to Rose.
"LORRIE!" Dom squealed, jumping up and down on the spot like an over excited puppy. I hope to merlin she doesn't pee on the floor.
"Hey, Dom." I replied quietly, feeling embarrassed.
"Oh my gosh! You dyed your hair, and you look so thin! You've changed so much!" She gushed, possibly shattering my ear drums before squeezing me into a bone crushing hug.
Rose chuckled slightly. "Dom, you don't want to kill her now, do you?" She laughed. I was grateful because as soon as she said that, Dom let go of me with a pout.
"I s'pose not." Dom grumbled, slouching next to me with a troubled expression on her face.
"So, how was New Zealand?" James asked, slightly curious.
"It was good to be back home, I missed everyone, but it was boring after a while, especially when you go to a school full of cousins, that you cant date anyone." I told them, before stopping and looking at James in the eye.
This perked his interest. "So you haven't had a boyfriend since me?"
"That's right, James." I replied, with a roll of my eyes.
"Oh, cool." James said, suddenly feeling guilty. And then I knew why.
"Oooh Jamesie!" A high pitched giggle called out, before entering our compartment.
Arabella King. Ravenclaw's dumbest student ever, its not even funny.
"Oh, its you." She turned to me, not hiding her hatred for me.
"Why hello there, Arabella! Why, I've missed you so!" I said in a high pitch tone similar to hers.
"I thought you were like, dead." She droned, raising a perfectly plucked eyebrow, while lounging on Potter's lap.
"I thought you were like, smart." I quipped with a slight smirk.
Rose, only just noticing Arabella's presence, crinkled her nose in disgust.
"That would be me." A voice boomed outside of the compartment. Freddikins Weasley ladies and gentleman.
"Why?" Dom glared at Arabella, who just snorted.
"You're just jealous that he loves me and not you." Arabella laughed, while I gagged.
"You do realise," I paused for dramatic effect. "They're cousins right?" I continued, laughing at Dom's reaction.
"Ew. Ew. Ew. That's it." Dom repeated several times.
I continued laughing as Arabella shot me a dirty look.
"Shut up, chubs." She smirked triumphantly, as I sat still, frozen.
Everyone else seemed shocked.
Clenching and unclenching my fists, I glared at Arabella so intensely, she flinched but she carried on. "I mean, one time, I saw her eating five pop tarts, in two minutes, right Jamesie?" She looked at him for backup.
"It was a dare," We all said at once. I flared my nostrils, and shrugged off Dom's comforting hand.
"Listen here, Blondie, I've changed in more ways than possible. That was the past, this is the presence. Get. Over. It." I said through clenched teeth. I saw red splotches darting across my vision.
"You've hardly changed at all." She sneered unattractively. That was a low blow.
I used to be fat, Ronnie told me, so I changed. I have control over my body, something that I will never lose.
And she has the nerve to tell me, I haven't changed? Who the hell does she think she is?
Dom, who was seething right now jumped up and pointed her index finger at Arabella. "GET OUT NOW!" She shrieked, before grabbing her arm and pushing her out of the compartment.
James glared at Dom. "God Dom, did you have to do that?"
We all stared at him. He took in each of our expressions.
Fred; glaring, Rose; seething, Dom; livid. Me? I wasn't angry. Not any more. Just hurt.
"Oh merlin, Lorrie, I didn't mean it like that," James groaned, head in his hands. I put my hand up to stop him.
"Dont," I whispered barely audible. He moved to lay a hand on my arm, I flinched away from him.
"You've made your choice, Don't touch me." I growled, flinching away yet again, as he tried to reach for my arm again.
"We'll talk later," he mumbled quietly as he trailed out of the compartment, looking for his little whore.
"That's highly unlikely, James!" I called after him, as I curled into a ball between Dom and Fred, my knights in shining armour.
Fred is like my brother, I love him to bits.
Al? We hate each other. No particular reason.
I mean, why would I be mad just because in second year a certain green eyed boy pushed a slightly chubby girl with dazzling blue eyes into the lake to see if she could swim because he thought she was a whale?
Nope, not mad here.
I seriously hope you note the sarcasm in my voice, because if you don't, I really question your humanity.
"We'll talk some sense into him," Rose assured me, before leaving to find the trolley lady.
"Lor, I swear I didn't mean to bring her here, she followed me!" Fred exclaimed, wide eyed.
I rolled my eyes. "I was going to find out sooner or later." I giggled.
The great hall looked spectacular than ever through the sorting, I looked around to see if anything had changed.
You see, Hogwarts has a social latter, if you will.
there are the:
QUEENS AND KINGS:
Serenity is the queen bee around here. She also has aimless followers, trying to get 'ins' with her. Rhy's is the 'king'. You would think that Serenity would be dating Rhy's, but you're wrong. They downright loathe each other. Also, they're frequent customers in the Hogwarts black market.
I.e, the Wotter's, plus Scamanders, Longbottom's ect. Need I say more?
the name say's it all. Goyle, Zabini, Rosier, Malfoy, Parkinson, Nott ect. Most of them are in Slytherin, except the Rosier's.
they're the fan clubs for the Wotter clan. James and Fred have a couple. Fuck, even Dom and Rose have one.
they consist of the people who cant get enough of studying. Believe it or not, they're pretty normal looking.
Last but not least:
They're the misfits. The rebels. People who break rules, run the black market for Hogwarts, make deals with people, place bets, that kind of stuff. The leader? Me. The co leader is Dom. She's been running the place since I've been away.
"Welcome!" Minnie's voice rang out through the hall. "I hope you have a wonderful time at Hogwarts this year, and as usual, The forbidden forest, is, well, forbidden. Filch has put a list of things that are not allowed at Hogwarts," She cast a stern glance at me, and I waved cheerfully at her. "Also, Welcome back to a.. wonderful.. student, Lorrie Smith!"
Embarrassed, I stood up and saluted before sitting back down.
Whispers erupted throughout the room.
'Wasn't she fat?'
'She's such a slut,'
'I heard she went all psycho because she found out about Arabella and James.'
'God, this food is great.'
Looking down at my plate, I shook my hair in front of my face, ignoring the food in front of me.
"Lorrie?" Rose said quietly. "Eat something,"
"No thanks, I'm good." I replied quietly, shoving the food aside. The sight of it made me sick.
"Come on, you gotta eat." Dom urged me, poking me with her fork.
"I'm not hungry," I said through clenched teeth.
They both shrugged slightly before continuing to shovel food down their throats, oblivious to peoples stares.
The two hottest chicks in Hogwarts, acting like cavemen.
I felt someone's eyes boring into my head.
Looking up, I locked eyes with a certain green eyed blacked haired guy, formerly known as Albus Potter.
Albus is a freak. He's not like his brother. He's snarky, sarcastic and has a twisted sense of humour. People ignore him easily, and fan girls lost interest in him fast when they got the message that he wasn't interested.
The Weasley's are basically disappointed in him, but he doesn't give a shit.
Feeling uncomfortable, I looked away, but I could feel his triumphant smirk, even after I left the great hall. It was uncomfortable. Its like he's everywhere, watching me, waiting for me to do wrong so he can catch me at my weakest and use it against me. He loves seeing me squirm, I'm like his personal guinea pig.
It was always a wonder why he didn't get sorted into Slytherin. But no, I have to share a freaking common room with him.
I was the only one in the sixth year dorm.
Me, Rose and Dom share it with two other girls; Chelsea and Cascal Rosier.
They're nice and friendly, not to mention they're twins. They fight like rabid animals though. They're both blonde haired and blue-green eyes.
The twins are quite beautiful, much more beautiful than I am. I look plain, with my plain brown hair and plain blue-grey eyes.
I sat on my bed with my electric guitar on my lap. Isabella, my guitar, is my baby. If anything happened to it.. I would die.
Dom's been looking after Isabella real good, I can't see any scratches on my baby.
I plucked the chords to "Chasing Cars" by Snow patrol, when I heard clapping behind me. I jumped up in surprise, Isabella sliding off my lap and falling on the floor with a soft clank.
"Oh gosh, Sorry!" I heard Cascal's voice call out behind me, rushing to pick up Isabella.
"I'm-Oh! Lorrie! I've missed you so much!" Cascal wrapped me up in a hug, then handed me my precious baby. I cradled the guitar with affection, I swear, its unhealthy to love this guitar as much as I do.
But oh well.
"I'll just.. leave you two.. to it.." Cascal trailed off, leaving me to fall asleep with my guitar in hands.
AAH! Another story? Why yes, because this idea popped into my brain while I was indeed of new shoes. Weird? I know. Thought's on it so far? Do you like Lorrie? Thought's on Al? I based him a bit on Christian Ozera in the VA series. I would love to hear your thoughts. Reviews would be nice.
