A few more days had passed and the stories about Carrie Sutherland had died down. The students curiosity had gotten the best of them and she had been asked many questions about her arrival. She explained that her father was a very important magical embassador and he had decided that she should travel in the most unexpected route as a safety mesure. Her story didn't involve dragons or any mysteries at all and everyone lost interest.

Harry interest, however, had only grown. He hardly ever saw the strange Ravenclaw  student anymore and he couldn't help but look for her anytime he passed anoher group of students. He couldn't get the red haired girl our of his mind. Who was she and why was she not introduced?

"Mister Potter!" A greasy voice hissed from across the classroom.

Harry snaped out of his own thoughts to realize that Snape was standing right in front of him.

"Yes proffessor?" He asked.
"Do you know the answer?" Snape asked sneering.
"I- erm.... I didn't hear the question, sir." Harry answered.
"Hmm. Apparently popularity isn't quite as usefull as we thought. Five points will be taken from Gryffindor. Pay attention next time."

The other Gryffindor students glared at him but his mind was already wandering. After what seemed like an eternity they were dismissed and Harry huried into the hallway. This was usually the only time he saw the mysterious girl. He looked up and down the hallway and sure enough he saw her. She was just stepping out  of her classroom and putting her parchment into her bag. She looked up and caught Harry starring and froze.

This was his moment. He decided that he would finally approach her. He took a dep breath and took a few steps forward until he was stopped.

"HARRY!!!" A musical voice called.
"Oh! Carrie....Hi." Harry answered.

Carrie was standing in front of him smiling. When did she get there? She wasn't in his potions class and didn't have any classes in the dungeons this semester. He tried looking around her but she moved stragecially to keep his eye's on her.

"How was your class?" She asked.
"What did you guys learn about?"
"Erm...I'm not really....sure.." He kept trying to look around her but the girl had disappeared. He sighed.

Carrie frowned.

"Is something wrong Harry?" She asked.
"No...I was just looking for someone." He took one final glance to make sure that the girl was gone and couldn't find her. "What brings you down here anyway?"

Carrie froze as if she had been caught off guard.

"I- I was looking...for YOU!" She stated.
"Yes. I was thinking maybe we could hang out sometime?"

It was Harry's turn to freeze. He had hardly spoken to Carrie since she arrived and she had plenty of admirers to choose from. Her flirty personality and cute feaures kept boys crawling in drones. He had never shown an interest in her and she had never shown any in him. He must have been thinking for a while because Carrie was starting to look uncomfortable and her eye's were searching his face.

"I'm sorry." Harry said, he didn't really know what to say but didn't want to hurt her feelings. "I'd like that."

She smiled her charming white smile that so many boys tried to glimpse.

"Great! There's a trip to Hogsmead next semester....maybe we could go together?"
"Sure." Harry agreed.

They said their goodbyes and Carrie left. Harry decided to go to the common room to get some homework done. Why did Carrie have to show up now? He vowed that next week he would talk to the girl. No distractions.
