The halls weren’t usually this quiet, which is why Hailey was walking carefully. She was looking around herself, making sure that all was normal.
Hailey jumped and whipped around.

“Are you okay?” Sam asked with a broad smile on her face.
“You almost gave me a heart-attack!” Hailey said smacking her arm.
“Well, I didn’t expect the all-knowing Hailey to get scared.” Sam teased.
“Yeah, yeah. What do you want?”
“I just wanted to see if you were coming to Hogsmeade with Lucius and me?”
“Ugh, and watch you two make out? No way. Walking and kissing was a cute trick at first but now its just disgusting.”
“So you’re not coming?” Sam said folding her arms across her chest.
“No. I’m not.”
Sam sighed. “Fine, but you’re coming next time.”
“Yeah, sure. I’ll see you later.”
“Okay. Bye.”

Sam turned and walked down the hallway and around the corner. Hailey shook her head and began walking in the opposite direction. It had become eerily quiet again. She found that it was getting colder as she walked and started rubbing her arms.

“Ahhh!” Hailey screamed as she was attacked from the side and tossed to the ground.
“What’s going on, beautiful?”
“Ugh, Sirius, do you mind?”

Sirius smiled and stood up. He bent a hand down to help her up, but she ignored it and stood on her own.
“So I heard you’re not going to Hogsmeade today.”
“Yeah? What’s it to you? And can’t you greet people normally and not kill them in the process?”
“Now what fun would that be? Everyone does that. And I think you should go to Hogsmeade with me.”

Hailey, who was straightening her clothes out, looked up at him and raised an eyebrow.
“And why should I do that?”
“Because I can guarantee you a better time then with the snogfest champions that you usually hang out with.”
Hailey laughed and started to walk away from him. He ran to catch up and tailed behind her.

“Come on.”
“No way.”
“But why not?”
“One, you’re a Gryffindor. Two, I don’t like you like that. I’m already risking my head talking to you. Three, I already made plans with Regulus.”

Sirius stopped where he was and grabbed her arm, so she stopped with him.
“Hey! Let go.”
“You made plans with Regulus?”
“Yeah, I’m trying to go meet him at the library now.”
“Hailey…you can’t go.”
“Are you kidding?” she jerked her arm away, annoyed.

“Hailey, don’t. I’m not joking with you. My brother isn’t a nice guy.”
“Okay, Sirius. I won’t see him. I’ll just stay here with you. Maybe we can get to know each other a little better.” She said as she pushed him into the wall, rubbing her hands up and down his chest.
Sirius gulped and held his breath.

Hailey brushed her hair out of her face and smirked.
“No.” she said with a giggle, backing away from him and headed off to the library.
Sirius let out his breath and grabbed his crotch as she rounded the corner.
“Bloody hell, that girl’s gonna kill me.” He murmured.

“So why didn’t Hailey come?” Lucius asked as he kissed Sams’ neck.
“I don’t know. Just said she didn’t want too. She’ll come next time.”
“Good. She’s the only one that seems to shut those two up.” He said pointing to Crabbe and Goyle, who were fighting over an empty seat. Sam chuckled and rolled her eyes.
“Yeah well, they keep to themselves.”
“So we have more time for this?” Lucius asked as he caught her lips on his. She giggled and kissed him back.

“Well, if it isn’t the two puffers giving each other air. Forget to breath on your own?”
Lucius groaned as James Potters’ voice sounded into his ears.
“Speaking of someone who doesn’t keep to himself…what do you want, Potter?”
“Have you seen Sirius?”
“Why would I keep tabs on where that fleabag is?” he asked, looking at James and the rest of his group.
“Easy Lucy, I’m just asking. Maybe he’s finally getting around to teaching that pretty Hailey a ‘lesson’.”

At this Lucius, Crabbe, and Goyle surrounded James, Remus, and Peter.
“Black better not lay a finger on her.” Lucius said cracking his knuckles.
“Isn’t your girlfriend over there? Run along, Lucy.” James said waving his hand in Sam’s direction.
“Hailey is like a sister to me and if I find out that your tick-machine Black has touched her at all, I’ll murder all four of you.”

“N-now that’s not f-fair, Lucius. I-I didn’t do a-anything.”
“Shut up, Pettigrew.” Goyle said shoving Peter to the side.
“Alright,” Remus said pushing through. “Since Sirius isn’t here, we’ll leave. NOW.” He said to James.
“Fine.” James looked over to Sam.
“If Lucy isn’t man enough for you, just come to me.” He said winking.

Sam just crossed her arms and looked away while Remus pulled James away.

The library was quiet with only a few students inside. Hailey looked around until she finally found who she was looking for. She walked over and put her hands in front of Regulus’s eyes.
“Guess who?” she said in a deep voice.
Regulus chuckled and touched her hands with his.

“I would know those soft hands anywhere.” he said pulling her around so she was sitting on the table in front of him.
She smiled. “What about in the dark?”
He smirked and looked her up and down. She was wearing a loose gray shirt that showed off her shoulders and tight, ripped, black pants. Her hair was falling loosely around her face and cascading down past her shoulders.

“Even in the dark.” He replied, looking back up into her eyes. “What took you so long?”
“Oh, you know…” Hailey said, hopping down from the table and sliding into a chair next to Regulus. “When you’re popular.” She said with a grin.
“Right.” Regulus said smiling at her. “So, what I pulled out for you to do is this.” He said plopping an Ancient Runes book in front of her. She scrunched her nose and looked to him.

“Do I have too?”
“I don’t want to.”
“Hail, you promised.”
“I know, but decoding runes isn’t as much fun as I make it sound to be.”
“I only need one sentence.” He said playing with her hair.

She smiled and flicked his hand away.
“Fine. But you owe me.”
Regulus smiled and watched as she turned to the book. He looked to his own when he suddenly felt a set of eyes piercing into his back. He looked behind him but saw nothing. Still, he couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was watching him. He placed a hand on Hailey’s shoulder and stood up.
“What’s wrong?” she asked, looking up at him.
“Nothing. I’m gonna go look for something.”
“Okay…” Hailey said.
Regulus watched as Hailey turned back to her book. He rounded the corner of one of the bookshelves and bumped into Sirius.

“I knew you were back here. What do you want?”
“I’m making sure you don’t hurt Hailey.”
Regulus chuckled and folded his arms across his chest.
“If you haven’t noticed, Hailey is perfectly fine, thank Merlin. The nerve of you thinking I would hurt something so gorgeous.”
“Listen, I know what you’re doing. Leave her out of it. She’s not just a sex toy.”
“No, you listen. I happen to like her for a lot more than just her looks. She’s smart unlike you and your monkeys. And if I happen to get a shag out of her then it’s even better.”

Sirius jumped onto Regulus and began punching him in the face. Hailey looked up from her book in shock and ran over to pull Sirius off of Regulus.
“Sirius! Get off him!”
She pulled at his arm, but he swung back and hit her in the face, sending her body flying to the floor. Both boys stopped struggling and looked at Hailey, surprised. Sirius jumped up and tried to help her up.

“Hailey! I’m so sorry! Are you okay?!”
He helped her stand up, but she jerked herself away from him.
“Are you insane?!” she yelled, rubbing her jaw.
“Hailey, I didn’t me-”
“Oh shut up, Sirius.” Regulus cut in.

He took Hailey by the shoulders and walked her towards the door.
“Come on, love. Let’s take a walk outside and see how you feel after that.”
She nodded and let herself be led out of the library with Sirius watching in a confused haze.

“How are you feeling?”
Regulus and Hailey had walked outside and were making their way towards the lake. He was still holding her by the shoulders, rubbing his hands up and down to make her feel a little warmer in the cool autumn air.
“Fine, I guess. Jaw’s a little sore. Might be for a while.”

They had walked down to the edge of the Black Forest when Regulus had her lean her back on a tree. He stood in front of her, with her hands moving up and down between her hips and ribs.
“So…what now?” Hailey asked, used to that kind of attention from the boys. Regulus smirked and slowly moved in to kiss her. She let herself be pulled into the kiss, not having any sexual attention for weeks, and allowed herself to be pulled in closer to him.
“Does your jaw still hurt?” he asked when he broke the kiss.
“Uhm…a little I guess.”
He smiled and began kissing her jawline. She closed her eyes and tried to enjoy it. But something in her mind was pulling her elsewhere. She snapped to attention when she felt Regulus’s hands on her chest. She pushed him away and he almost tripped over a tree root.

“What was that for?” he asked almost laughing.
“I’m sorry, Regulus. I just can’t do this.”
“Yeah. Me too.”
He smirked and pushed her back up against the tree.
“Ow! Regulus stop!” She pushed his hands away and cried out in exasperation when the found themselves back onto her body.
“Someone help!”
“Shut up.” He put a hand over her mouth and continued to touch her.

She squirmed against his touch and closed her eyes, only to soon feel the pressure be lifted off of her body. She opened her eyes, and was quickly yanked away by her waist and held to someone’s body. She didn’t know who it was, but she held onto them anyway, trying to fight back the tears.
“Get her out of here.” She heard someone say. She could feel herself be lifted off the ground and up into the arms of one of her saviors. After a few moments of walking, she felt the pull of a door and the soft sheets of a bed. Opening her eyes, she looked around the room in awe. She was sitting on a gigantic bed with green and gold satin sheets. In front of her was an enormous fireplace. She looked to her left to see Gryffindor robes draped around an armchair. She scrunched her nose at them. Pushing her hair back, she lifted herself off the bed.

“You alright?”
She jumped and turned around to see James Potter walking towards her.
“I-I’m fine.”
He walked up to her and placed a hand on her cheek. She flinched and began to pull away when James caught her by the hip.
“Calm down. I won’t hurt you.”
He brushed some dirt off of her face and slowly released her. She looked at him steadily and raised an eyebrow.

“Why did you help me?”
“When a damsel’s in distress…you know.” He said chuckling.
She smiled and sat down on the bed. James sat down next to her and rubbed her back.
“Thank you.” She finally managed to blurt out.
“A thank you from a Slytherin. I will cherish that forever.”
She smirked and leaned towards him. “Don’t get used to it.”

He leaned towards her and put on a serious face.
“I bet I can have you saying thank you to me in the next two hours, Hailey.”
“I don’t think so, Potter.”
He grinned and pulled her into a kiss. She kissed him back and managed to crawl onto his lap, making him moan slightly. He pulled her closer so that her body was pushed into his. His hands roamed up and down her body, loving the feeling of it in his hands. Hailey tugged on his hair and deepened the kiss. James’ hands rested just below the small of her back and pushed her up so that he was lying down with her on top. Hailey felt his hands grip the bottom of her shirt and tug slightly upwards. He pulled her shirt over her head and tossed it to the floor. He looked at her bra and grinned.

“Red?” he said breathlessly, breaking the kiss.
“Don’t read too much into it, Potter.” She said carefully taking off his glasses.
“Oh, I’m not. I just think you secretly worship me.” He said with a smirk.
“You’re the one that watches me during quidditch practice.” She replied brushing his hair back.
He smirked and grabbed her ass. “Who could tear their eyes away from this?”

She rolled her eyes and he pushed her off of him. He laid her down on the bed as he took his clothes off. She watched as he slowly made his way onto her, kissing from her bellybutton to her chest. They were both oblivious to the door opening and closing slowly. Only to be opened and closed again. Hailey looked up and scanned the room.
“What was that?” James looked around and pulled her face back towards him.

“Are you sure?” she asked as he began kissing her neck.
“Would I lie to you?”
“You really want me to answer that?”
James pulled away and looked into her eyes.
“There is nothing there.” He said again.
Hailey nodded, lost in his eyes, and smiled. “Okay, I believe you.”
“Now, let’s see if I can get you to say ‘thank you’ quicker then we expected.” He said pulled at the top of her pants.

Hailey smiled and helped him take them off.
“You wish.”

“I told you, I just wanted to stay here.” Sirius said as he walked with James, Remus, and Peter outside towards the lake.
“And for what? To see your brother hitting on Hottie Hailey? You can watch that anytime.” James said.
“Yeah. Like now. Look.”

Everyone followed Peter’s pointing finger to the edge of the forest, where they could see Regulus and Hailey standing by a tree. Sirius looked away.
“I don’t want to look at that.” He stated.
“Someone help!”

Sirius snapped his head back and looked toward the forest.
“Uh, guys…” Remus started, but Sirius was already running towards them, with James close behind.
Sirius tackled Regulus to the ground. Hailey began to look up but James grabbed her around the waist. He looked down at her and tried to hide a smile as she buried her face into his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Get her out of here.” Sirius said, struggling to keep his brother down. James nodded and picked her up carefully, making his way up to the castle.
“Guys, help me with him.”

James weaved around the many different hallways until he found the one he wanted. He walked back and forth three times until the door popped up. He opened it slowly and let it close by itself as he laid Hailey down on the bed. Throwing his robes around an armchair, he went to get some water. When he turned around, Hailey was off the bed and looking around.
“You alright?”

Sirius walked back and forth outside of the Room of Requirement.
“I hope Hailey’s okay.” He said to himself.
He opened and shut the door carefully when it appeared. When he turned, his breath caught in his throat. He just stood there for a minute, taking in the scene. His best friend…with his crush of five years. Wiping a tear away from his eye, he walked out the door.

“Oh! Hailey, fuck!”
Hailey smirked as she waited a minute and slowly got off of James. He was breathing heavy as he pulled her next to him, with her head resting on his shoulder.
“Shit.” He said under his breath. Hailey looked up at him and grinned. “What?”
“I’m – uh – kind of embarrassed.”
“Why?” she giggled. He laughed and looked at her seriously.
“Thank you.”

Hailey looked at him and laughed. She got up from the bed and started gathering her clothes from the floor. As she began putting her under garments on, James reached out and pulled her back on the bed.
“Don’t go.” He whispered into her ear. Hailey smirked and pulled away from him. “Don’t push it, Potter.”
She pulled herself away from him and slipped into her pants. James rolled over and rested his head on his hands.

“Don’t put those on.”
“Why not?” Hailey asked shaking her head.
“You look better without them.”
Hailey smiled, leaned in and kissed him. He slipped a hand behind her head and deepened the kiss. She laughed softly and pushed away.
“Sorry Potter,” she said pulling her shirt over her head. “I gotta go.”
“Go where?”
“Well, first I have to shower and then I have practice.”
“Can I join?”
James watched as Hailey made her way to the door. She turned back and gave him one last smile. “See you around, Potter.”

Hailey let the warm water run down her back as she thought about what had just happened.
“Oh bloody hell.” She said, turning the water off.
“What was I thinking?” she said to herself as she wrapped a towel around her. “Why Potter? It could have been anyone, but I go off with Potter.”
Walking into her room, she jerked out her team shorts and jersey. She quickly dressed and towel dried her hair.

“What is going to happen if the others find out about this?” she yelled at herself in the mirror. Throwing her hair in a messy ponytail, she grabbed her bag and practically ran out of the common room and into the corridor.
“Hey, there you are!”
Lucius ran up behind her and handed her the new practice schedule.
“Thanks.” She said blankly.
“So, how come you didn’t come to Hogsmeade? Couldn’t keep Crabbe and Goyle quiet without you.”

Hailey laughed and moved some bangs out of her face. “Yeah, well you guys need to learn to do that without me. And I don’t know, just kind of felt like staying in today. Once you’ve been to Hogsmeade it doesn’t tend to change much.”
“Ah, point taken. So did anything exciting happen?”
“Go on, tell me.”
“Regulus tried to…”
Lucius stopped and looked at her hard. “Tried to what?”
“Tried to…” she looked down at herself and looked at Lucius.

His eyes grew wide and pulled her into a tight hug. “Are you okay?”
“Umph, Lucius, I’m fine…let me breathe.”
He let her go and looked concerned. “How did you get away?”
“Uh…some people helped. Can we go before we’re late?” she asked and began walking down the stairs that led to the Great Hall.
