Thank you for the encouragement and the constructive criticism. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Harry and Ariel had just bid Professor Dumbledore good night so Harry went to show Ariel the way to the tower. “The tower is on the seventh floor so it is a long walk,” Harry started to explain. “Then why don’t we just shimmer there?” she asked. “What’s ‘shimmering’?” Harry replied curiously. “Shimmering is like apparition except it is done with in the same building you are in. All wizards can do it and you don’t need a license. I’ve always been able to do it – at least,” she explained. “I don’t think you can here. It has charms all over the place,” harry reasoned. “Well let me see,” Ariel said and then disappeared only to reappear a second later. “I guess it can be done. But I think I may have gone to the boy’s dormitory. Oh well,” she said and then shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t think I can do it…” Harry started. “Of course you can. Just think really hard of the place you want to be.” Harry closed his eyes and he was gone and when he opened them he was in the Gryffindor common room. He turned around to see Ariel beaming at him. “See, I knew you could do it,” she said proudly. “My uncle was wrong after all.” “What?” Harry asked, confused. “Oh nothing, I better be going to sleep now. I’ll see you in the morning.” “Good night,” said Harry and he shimmered to the sixth year boy’s dormitory. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Harry woke up the next morning and went downstairs into the Entrance Hall to see Hermione, Lavender, Parvati, and Ariel all giggling about something. Harry looked for Ron and the other boys and found the source of their amusement. Sitting on the ground next to Millicent Bullstrode was the ugliest dog Harry had ever seen. It had a pug-like face and was looking very scared. He saw Crabbe reach down to pick up the dog when he heard Ariel say, “I wouldn’t do that unless you want to end up the same.” Just then Draco Malfoy walked into the hall. “Well, well what do we have here?” he said looking at Ariel with interest. “A certain pug-faced Pansy Parkinson, Draco,” she responded calmly. Draco looked taken aback about how she knew his name but shrugged it off. “That’s Pansy? Who did this?” he asked amused. “I did,” replied Ariel. “She was insulting Hermione.” “Oh…so you’re a new Gryffindor? How lovely,” Draco said. “Actually, I belong to all of the houses. I am just rooming with the Gryffindors. And I can participate in all house activities. I saw Professor Dumbledore this morning,” she replied back cooly. “Oh…well it’s too bad that you did this. But it is quite funny. Perhaps you should change her back now…” Draco said with a superior tone to his voice. “My family doesn’t listen to Malfoy’s!” she spat out, saying the word “Malfoy” with disgust. “And who’s your family…?” he said, equally angry. “Ask your father. Tell him my name’s Port…Ariel Port,” she said. Ariel waved her hand over Pansy and she turned back into herself. Hermione, Parvati, and Lavender were still silently laughing. Mostly at the look on Draco’s face. By then the whole of Gryffindor and Slytherin were out there watching the display. The most interesting thing was that most of the seventh year Slytherins, along with all of the Gryffindors, were prepared to defend Ariel if needed. Then the captain if the Slytherin Quiddicth team, Adrian Pucey, walked over to Ariel. “Hello Ariel, if I’m correct?” she nodded her head and he continued. “That was a very interesting performance you had there…would you like to join me for breakfast?” “Actually I am going to sit with the Gryffindor girls today. But I’d be glad to sit with you for lunch, Adrian,” she responded. And after he bid her a ‘good-bye’ a strange thing happened. It appeared as if he bent his head down ever so slightly. But no one paid attention. They were too into remembering how Ariel was able to transfigure Pansy…with out a wand. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ A/N: How was the chapter? I know it was short but I thought it had some really important clues in it *wink, wink* . I hope you liked it and I’ll up-date soon, I promise. Love always, Rose Eva.
