Boy,
I have heard about you and that blood traitor's child. It is a disgrace to the Black family and name that you are having this child. This child does not deserve to carry the Black name. It is not worthy just as you are not. I have never seen a bigger disappointment than you or that harlot you call a girlfriend. I have talked to her parents and she will get hers, just as you will get your own.

Do not write back,
Walburga Black

Sirius read this and his temperature rised. How dare his so called mother send him this? What did she care? As far as he knew, he wasn't even on the family tree anymore. He didn't want to get mad though. She didn't control him anymore. His baby was going to have his last name, whether she liked it or not.

"What's wrong babe?" Shay asked and squeezed his shoulder.

"Nothing. I'm just thinking."

"Well, don't think too hard. You're going to hurt yourself," Shay said with a smile.

Sirius Black looked at his girlfriend. Shay Calhoun looked absolutely radiant. The baby seemed to get bigger everyday and everyday Sirius got more excited. He then looked over at his best friend. James Potter and Lily Evans were inseparable. They were meant to be. He was happy that his best friend got the girl of his dreams. Next, his eye caught Remus Lupin and Niki Smith. The epitome of opposites attract. Their relationship was most likely the strongest. They had been through a lot and they have unconditional love for each other. Sirius then made eye contact with Peter Pettigrew and gave him a smirk. He was happy for Peter. He had finally met his match. He deserved it. Alana Michaels was a beautiful person and they were great for each other. His life and his friends' lives were going great and nothing, not even his mother, could stop the feeling he had right then.

It had been two weeks and Shay still hadn't got the chance to lay her hands on Regulus. And she was finally sick of waiting. She had told James of what Regulus did, knowing James was wise enough not to say anything to Sirius. Shay was going to use the Marauder's Map and James invisibility cloak, while James kept Sirius busy, so Shay had time to accomplish her goal. She set out right after dinner and started to follow Regulus, who was to her surprise, was walking alone. But she had to wait for the right moment. They walked for about another twenty feet when the coast was clear and a classroom was in sight.

"Mischief Managed," Shay whispered and took the invisibility cloak off.

She pocketed the items and as quickly as she could, she ran at Regulus and knocked him into the open classroom. She quickly shut and locked the door as soon as Regulus was in there.

"What in bloody hell is going on?" Regulus demanded as he wiped himself off.

"I have been trying to get to you for two weeks now. It's finally time for that payback," Shay said and turned her wand on him.

"You're still going on about this? Listen, I didn't tell the school you got knocked up. I have better things to do," Regulus sneered and got his own wand out.

"If you didn't say anything then why have you been running from me for two weeks? You seem pretty guilty to me."

"How many times do I have to tell you before it gets through your thick skull? I. Didn't. Do. It."

"Then who did? Eight people knew Regulus. And seven out of those eight are my closest friends. Who did you tell?" Shay asked forcefully and sparks shot out of her wand.

Regulus didn't say anything, but he couldn't keep eye contact.

Shay scoffed," You told her didn't you?"

Regulus didn't say anything again. She was through with being nice. She slapped him across the face as hard as she could. She needed to get his attention.

"If you told her, then you need to tell me now. Quit being a coward. You have had 17 years of being a coward, now it's time you grow up and face what you've done head on."

Regulus finally made eye contact.

"She was the only person I told."

Shay lowered her wand and took in a deep breath. If she knew then Voldemort definitely knew.

"Regulus, why did you want me to talk to Courtlyn?" Shay asked quietly but with the same force as before.

Regulus didn't answer her again.

"Regulus, if you don't answer me, I will hit you again. And trust me, this time I will break your jaw."

"She said she's been waiting to talk to you. She's been kind of weird since your brother died," Regulus said and rubbed his jaw, reminding himself how much Shay's first hit hurt.

"Did she mention Voldemort at all when she talked about me?" Shay asked.

She had to know.

"Shay I don't know. She doesn't tell me these things."

"Liar. You are her boyfriend and best friend. And Regulus you're a…a Death Eater," Shay said in almost a whisper.

"Just because I am doesn't mean I know this stuff. Courtlyn is much more valuable than I am. She interacts directly with him. I've been in the same room with him twice," Regulus said, regretting his words.

Shay became sick to her stomach. Voldemort knew that she was pregnant. The only reason Courtlyn wanted to talk to her was because Voldemort wanted her to. He was going to pull out all the stops to get what he wanted. And what he wanted was Shay.

“I hope you know what you’ve done,” Shay said sharply.

Regulus almost looked apologetic.

“If anything happens to my baby, you’re the first one I’m coming for,” Shay said and left the room quickly.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" Shay yelled.

She was having one of her now famous mood swings.

"You asked for a sandwich," Sirius said, his eyes as big as saucers.

"TUNA?! You want me to eat FLIPPER?!" she said and threw the plate across the room.

"Who in bloody hell is Flipper?" Sirius asked.

"Never mind. I'll go and get my own food. Where's James?!" a 6 going on 7 months pregnant Shay yelled and stormed up the stairs as fast as a person who waddled could.

"JAMES! I need your damn cloak!" Shay yelled as she slammed the boys' dormitory door.

"No way. I don't let anybody use it."

"WHAT?!" Shay screamed and glared daggers at him.

"Um…well maybe on this occasion I can make an exception," James said, scared of the pregnant girl in front of him.

"Shay, why do you need the cloak?" Lily asked.

She was the only calm one around.

"Sirius got me the wrong sandwich," Shay said nearly in tears.

She was sick of these damn hormones.

"What do you want? I'll go get it for you," Lily said and went to sit by her emotional friend.

"Really? You'll do that for me?"

"Shay, it's only a sandwich. I'm sure I can handle it," Lily said with a laugh.

"Ok, I want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Smooth peanut butter and strawberry jelly. And put two pickle slices on the sandwich. I also want some chocolate pudding, and watermelon, and an ice cream sundae with hot syrup, caramel, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, sprinkles, and cherries. Lots of cherries. And I want a can of mushrooms," Shay finished.

"Got it," Lily said with a smile and left.

James gave Shay a look of awe.

"We're not going to have any dinner after you get done."

"Excuse me?" Shay asked dangerously.

"Did I tell you that you look absolutely brilliant today?" James asked, trying to save his own ass.

"I look like a blimp. I keep on asking Madame Pomfrey if there are two of them in here. She says no. So this baby better be 30 pounds when it comes out," Shay said and fell back on Sirius's bed.

"You almost hit a 3rd year with that plate Shay," Sirius said as he came in.

"Oops. Sirius come lay down with me. I'm feeling depressed."

"Don't feel sad. I'm sorry I got you the wrong sandwich," Sirius said and laid next to her.

"She wanted more than a sandwich," James said to himself and Sirius and Shay both gave him a look.

"I just want to go back to normal me. I'm sick of getting so upset," Shay sighed.

"You deserve to get upset. Nobody minds, they know you're having a hard time. Right James?" Sirius asked his best friend, looking for some back up.

"Huh? Oh yea. I love being yelled at. Lily yells at me all the time and she's not even pregnant."

"I heard that Potter," Lily said as she entered the room.

"How did you do that so fast?" James asked in wonder.

"My own little secret," Lily said and set the food in front of Shay.

"Can I have some?" Sirius asked and reached for her pudding.

Shay smacked his hand away.

"Moocher. I don't think there will be enough for you" Shay said and began destroying the plate of food before her.

"This is pointless Professor. I don't think I can do it," Shay said with a defeated tone.

She was at her weekly lesson with Dumbledore and Marlene. They had been going on for about three months and Shay wasn't progressing at all.

"It takes time Shay. I know you can do it. You're showing signs," Marlene said with a smile.

"What signs? You guys keep on talking about signs and I don't see any," Shay said getting upset.

"Miss Calhoun, what am I thinking about now?" Dumbledore asked.

"Professor, I don't know. I'm not a mind reader."

"You're not trying. Think hard. You need to believe that you're breaking into my mind."

Shay got herself together and tried to figure out what Dumbledore was thinking. It took her a while but then she felt a sudden jolt through her body.

"Professor, out of all your names, Brian is your favorite?" Shay asked with a laugh.

"It's quite a nice name, isn't it?" Dumbledore asked with a smile.

"I can't believe I just read your mind. I know Marlene, this is crazy," Shay said.

Marlene had a look of shock in her face.

"You were reading my mind?"

"Yea, this is wicked awesome. But this still doesn't mean that I can do wandless magic or that I'm a seeress."

"That will be next time Miss Calhoun. Practice the thought reading for the next week and I am positive that by next week you will get the wandless magic. As for the visions, they will come in their own time."

"Finally. And don't be so amazed Marlene, you too can read people's minds someday."

"Hello friends, how's life?" Shay asked as she walked into the Gryffindor common room.

She stopped suddenly when she saw quite a site.

Sirius and Remus were sitting on the couch giggling like little school girls while Lily, Niki, and Peter were watching them with confused looks.

"What happened to them?" Shay asked and sat next to Peter.

"We were all hanging out then they just started giggling. They haven't stop for about ten minutes," Lily said over the noise.

"Where's James?" Shay asked.

"He disappeared about 15 minutes ago," Peter said while glaring daggers at the giggling duo.

Shay laughed to herself.

"Hey James, you really do think about quidditch and Lily 24/7" Shay yelled.

Everyone looked at her as if she was crazy.

"He's under his invisibility cloak," she said and James uncovered himself.

"That was not what I was thinking about"

"Was he really thinking about me and quidditch?" Lily asked.

"You're boyfriend has a dirty mind," Shay said.

"We don't need to hear any more of that," Niki said with a cringe.

"Hold on a second, how did you know what I was thinking about?"

"Ha! He admitted to it. But I won't say a word until you take that damn giggling curse off of them," Shay said about Sirius and Remus who were still giggling.

James smirk and took off the curse. Sirius and Remus immediately stopped.

"What's going on?" Remus asked.

"I don't know. Shay's reading people's minds and you two were giggling uncontrollably," Lily said.

"We were giggling?" Sirius asked horrified.

"Yea courtesy of the boy you know as James Potter," Shay said.

"I'm a man," James piped in.

"You're a boy" Niki chimed in.

"I'm a man. I'm 18, I'm engaged to be married, and I have hair on my chest," James said with pride.

Everyone started snickering at his comment.

"Fine then, you can be a moy. A man and a boy. Now shut up so Shay can tell us what's going on," Lily said.

"Well I promised Dumbledore I wouldn't say anything so I'll tell you guys just some minor details. But today I kind of learned how to read people's thoughts. You know that thing that Dumbledore does and freaks us out. I can do that now."

The others sat there with their mouths hung open.

"How did you learn this?" Sirius asked.

"That's what I can't tell you guys. At least not now. But you'll all learn soon enough."

Shay knew they wanted to ask more questions but they knew she wouldn't answer.

"Now while you all sit and think about how I learned it, I have to go to the bathroom. This kid is having a kick boxing match with my bladder," Shay said and waddled away.

"We will never be safe again," Remus said and the others nodded in astonishment.

"But Lily, honestly, a moy?" James asked before getting smack upside the head by his fiancée.
