A/N-I am so sorry for not updating! This will be the last chapter, but it's pretty long and I am thinking about posting an epilogue after it. Once again, I'm sorry!

“It’s the last day of term! Our last day as sixth years! Dani wake up!” Lily squealed at her sleeping friend, jumping the edge of the bed. “Stacey! Dani! Get up sleepyheads!”

Stacey sat up and glared at Lily. “What are you thinking?” she asked, her eyes narrowed. “It is,” she checked her watch. “seven thirty in the morning! You just deprived us of two whole hours of sleep, just so you could say that it was the last day of term?” Lily giggled.

“Well aren’t you excited?” she asked, her emerald eyes twinkling. “Next year we will be seventh years! At the top of the school, able to do whatever we want. It will be awesome!” At this Stacey laughed and swung her legs out of bed.

“Not to mention that shiny new Head Girl badge you are hoping to get since third year, huh?” Lily grinned.

“I don’t know what you are talking about.” She said in an innocent voice. Stacey raised an eyebrow. “Okay, I’m just trying not to get my hopes up.” She admitted. Stacey laughed.

“Alright, since we are both up, let’s wake Dani.” This proved to be no easy feat, as Dani was very reluctant to get up. When they finally succeeded in waking their friend up, they were both sporting fresh bruises.

“Why are you so hard to wake up?” Stacey grumbled, gingerly pressing a hand to a swelling point on her cheek. Dani just glared at her.

“It’s no matter.” Lily said briskly. “Watch.” She waved her wand and the bruises disappeared in an instant. “Now,” she continued. “let’s get packed.”

It was odd how it seemed that they had more things going home than they had brought with them. Dani only managed to close her trunk by sitting on it with Stacey and Lily forcing the clasps shut. When it was finally shut, Lily stood up, panting.

“Alright,” she said in a commanding voice. “on to breakfast.” Stacey and Dani followed her down the spiral steps that lead into the Gryffindor Common Room. There they spotted the Marauders sitting on one of the couches looking surprisingly serious and talking in low tones.

Remus noticed Stacey and eagerly jumped off of the couch to go and talk to her. When he reached her however, she merely gazed right through him, as though he wasn’t there. “So Dani, what would you like for breakfast?” she said airily, walking out of the portrait hole, leaving Lily to give Remus an apologetic glance.

Remus’ face fell. He rounded on Sirius. “Look what you did!” he shouted. “We were having a great time and you had to come and ruin it! And now she won’t even talk to me!” Sirius waved a hand dismissively.

“She’ll get over it.” Remus just glared at him and when they reached the Great Hall also, he sat, not next to him as he usually does, but next to James, who was across from Sirius.

Ignoring Remus, Sirius leaned in to James. “What are we planning to do for the Marauder’s end of the year prank Prongs?” James chuckled and dug in to the delicious food that just appeared on the table.

“Is that all you think about Sirius? Pranks and girls?” Sirius gaped, astonished at his friend’s words.

“Yes.” He said shortly. “And that used to be everything you thought about too James, before someone butted in.” At the word someone Sirius spoke with a nasty tone and threw a scathing look at Lily, who was talking with Dani and Stacey. As though feeling his eyes on her, Lily looked up.

When she noticed Sirius glaring at her, she adopted a confused expression with her eyebrows furrowed. She glanced at James as though wishing him to explain, but then her cheeks turned a blushing scarlet and she smiled shyly. James’ immediate reaction was to lift his hand up to his hair, but resisted the urge. Instead, he smiled back and waved his fingers a little.

“Oh my gosh you like him!” Dani accused as soon as she saw the looks James and Lily were sharing. Lily whipped her head back around to look at her.

“Like who? James?” she gave a nervous laugh. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Dani smirked.

“Oh sure. Is that why you have been sneaking looks to him all through breakfast?”

“I was not staring at him! Besides, he thinks of me just as a friend now.” Lily replied tartly, with a bit of sadness in her tone, before she got up from the table and retreated to the Common Room.

“I seriously doubt that.” Dani turned to Stacey, who was miserably pushing her food around, glancing up at Remus every few moments. “Stacey!” she said sharply. Stacey looked up.

“What?” Dani shook her head.

“We need to figure out a way to make Lily admit to James that she likes him. Will you help?” When Stacey looked hesitant, Dani sighed. “Look, just tell Remus that your not mad at him, you still love him, blah blah blah, and then we can move on with our lives. So will you do it?”

Stacey looked appalled. “Tell him that I love him?” she asked, horrified at the very thought. Dani looked confused.

“Well, don’t you?” She asked.

Stacey felt herself turn red. “I…I mean I….well…..yes.” she finished lamely. Dani took that as a good sign.

“So go tell him. Then meet me back at the Common Room after breakfast. Deal?” Stacey nodded.

Remus sat back, content with the breakfast he had just eaten. It was a big day after all, and he needed his strength. Today was the gang’s last day as sixth year students. They were going home for the summer, and would be coming back as seventh years.

Before her could utter a sound to either of his friends about these thoughts however, he was interrupted by someone sitting on the bench beside from him.

“Stacey?” Remus couldn’t believe his eyes. The girl that he was trying to convince to talk to him again had voluntarily sat next to him at the breakfast table. She smiled nervously at him.

“Look Remus we really need to talk.” She said. Remus nodded, his eyes still glued to hers. She gently took his hand in hers. “The other night was….” She shut her eyes.

“A disaster? The worst night of your life?” Remus tried to finish her thoughts but Stacey just laughed.

“Amazing.” She breathed softly, looking into his eyes and smiling. Remus felt a blush creeping up his cheeks.

“Also, I wanted to tell you that…that I think I’m in love with you.” She rushed out, averting their eyes and hoping he didn’t hate her. Remus gaped at her.

“You what?” he gasped. Stacey looked up in panic.

“I…never mind. It was stupid.” She said quickly, swinging her legs over the side of the bench and preparing to leave. Remus caught her arm and pulled her back down.

“There is something I want to tell you.” He whispered. “I love you.” Stacey smiled as their lips came together for a spectacular kiss.

When Stacey arrived in the Common Room after breakfast, it was as if she were floating on air. She glided up the steps to meet Dani in their dorm before getting on the train, with an airy expression on her pretty face.

Dani wrinkled her nose as Stacey came into the room. “What’s with you?” she asked. Stacey sighed.

Dani shook her head. “Whatever.” She mumbled. “I have the perfect plan to get Lily to admit that she likes James today on the train. All we have to do is,” Dani leaned forward and began to whisper her plan into her friend’s ear.

“Lily! Let’s go!” Dani yelled at her friend, pushing her into a compartment from behind. Lily stumbled and tipped over right into the nearest seat.

“Mffnffmm” she said, her voice muffled. Dani just laughed and helped her up.

“Now, I invited some people to share a compartment with us. I hope that is okay?” Dani wondered, glancing at Lily. She shrugged, taking a book out from her trunk.

At that same moment the compartment door slid open and three people walked into the cramped room. James was first, followed by Sirius, and Remus brought up the rear. Remus immediately sat down next to Stacey, and Sirius sat next to Dani, and put his arm around her. The only remaining seat for James to sit was beside Lily. She slowly lowered her book and blushed deeply, offering him the seat.

For a few moments there was an awkward silence, until Lily noticed Sirius’ arm around Dani. She stared at them, her mouth agape. “When did this happen?” she asked. The group laughed.

“Last night.” Dani answered, shrugging. Lily continued to stare.

“What happened to ‘I hate Sirius Black and will never go out with a guy like him!’?” Lily quoted her friend’s words earlier in the year. Dani shrugged again.

“Things changed.” She replied simply. Lily stood up quickly, and motioned for Dani to come into the hallway with her.

When they reached the hallway, Dani made to shut the door but made sure that it was still open a crack so the group inside could hear every word.

“So what is that all about?” Lily asked furiously. “I thought you hated Black!”

Dani sighed. “People change Lily. I thought you could see that in James.” At the mention of James’ name, Lily blushed and look at her shoes, not realizing just how quiet the inside of the compartment had gotten.

“I know that people change.” She muttered. Dani narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

“Is there something you aren’t telling me?” Dani asked, quoting what she and Stacey had decided she would say last night when they were thinking up the plan. Lily blushed even deeper.

“Is there something you aren’t telling me about James? Maybe…some feelings you may have recently uncovered?” Dani asked in a supposed innocent voice.

Lily shook her head and opened her mouth to deny it, but her inability to speak and her pink cheeks gave her away.

“Admit it Lily!” Dani said, pointing a finger in her friend’s direction. “You like James! Just say it and I won’t bother you anymore. Lily just-”

Lily snapped. “Okay!” she yelled at the top of her lungs. “I like James! Are you happy now?”

Dani smirked. “Very. But I know someone who is even happier.” Lily gave her a questioning look.

“What are you talking about?” she asked. Dani opened the compartment door the rest of the way to reveal the group of people staring, dumbfounded and James with an insane smile lighting on his face. He slowly got up and stood across from Lily. Dani slipped back into the compartment, mentioning something about giving them privacy, and shutting the door all the way.

“So.” James said, unable to hide the grin on his face. Lily looked horrorstruck.

“You heard that?” She whispered. James nodded, still smiling.

“I am so sorry James. I just…well I understand if you only want to be friend and I-” Lily stammered, her face almost the same color as her hair. James quieted her by bringing his lips to meet hers.

The kiss lasted only a few seconds but felt like years to Lily. Instead of pushing him away as she normally would, she felt herself melt into him, desperately wanting more. When the finally broke apart, her lips were swollen and her breathing ragged.

“Well, ok then.” She said, before pulling him back for more.

Giggling, Dani shut the compartment door and fell back onto her seat next to Sirius. She looked up at him and smiled.

“Thanks for going along with my plan.” She said, and he nodded.

“Not a problem.” He answered, then resumed looking out the window. She continued to look at him, confused.

“What’s wrong?” she asked. He turned back to her, sadness etched in his eyes.

“I don’t want it to end.” He said. Dani raised her eyebrows.

“What are you talking about?”

“Us. I want to be able to put my arm around you all the time, not just as a plot to make other people fall in love.”

Dani stared at him, transfixed. Suddenly, she placed her hand on the back of his head and pulled him in for a kiss, completely forgetting about Stacey and Remus sitting about two feet away and listening to the whole conversation. The door slid open at that moment and James and Lily entered, both blushing but looking very happy.

When they saw Dani and Sirius, Lily erupted into a fit of giggles and James just smiled.

“Get a room!” Lily playfully shouted at them. They broke apart and Dani blushed. Sirius, however smirked.

“I can’t help it.” He said, then motioned to Remus, James, and himself. “We are Marauders in love and there is nothing you can do about it.”

A/N-I hope you guys liked it! That was the last chapter. Should I do an epilogue? Please review and help me out!
