Thank you Smile06!

I woke up bright and early the next morning and took a nice long, hot shower. After taking my sweet time dressing and putting on makeup, I went into the common room and sat Indian style on the couch beside the staircases. I took a deep breath and looked around the room, it was way too quiet and way too empty. "This is very boring." I said to myself.

Just as I was about to fall back asleep, Harry and Ron came bounding down the boy's stairs. I jumped up and smiled brightly, giving them both a kiss on the cheek and a big hug. "Morning loves!" I sing songed, Ron touched his cheek lightly and smiled. "Morning, and don't let Hermione see you do that, she'll go mental!"

"Oops, sorry, I almost forgot, you two are..." I held up my two index fingers and smashed them together, making kissy noises. Ron pushed my hands away while Harry laughed. "Yeah yuck it up Harry, but from what I heard last night, you are in the same boat my friend."

Ron said laughing at me and while making kissy noises and pushing his fingers together. " Get along!" Harry said pushing him away. Ron was still laughing as he walked out of the common room.

"You told Ron about us?" I asked, Harry chuckled. "Well, not really, he kind of guessed, he wanted to know why I was smiling so much, and why I smelled like you."

I wrinkled my nose. "How does Ron know what I smell like?" Harry shrugged and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "And by the way, don't start something that you can't finish."
"What do you mean?" Harry smiled and started to snog me.

When Harry and I finally got down to the Great Hall, breakfast was nearly over, however, the people that still remained at the house tables, were staring at me and whispering, and although I couldn’t understand why, I felt like they were watching me.

I shrugged it off and sat down next to Harry, across from a smiling Ron, and a stone faced Hermione.Ron started to laugh, "Well well well, what do we have here? I left you two in the common room about a half hour ago, whatever have you been doing?"

"Oh come off it Ron, you know what we were doing." I said, feeling the blush creeping up my neck. "Anyway, can we please change the subject? Wait, what's wrong with Hermione?"

The three of us turned to look at Hermione, who was sitting, still stone faces and like everyone else, staring at me. Ron laughed and waved his hand in front of her face. "Hermione? Are you okay?" She sort of jumped a little, like she had just come out of a trance.

"Yeah, uh, fine? I'm fine, I was just thinking." Ron nodded, "Oh, is that why you looked so.." He made a hand gesture, and adopted a blank stare, then he turned back to Hermione and smiled, "Did it hurt?"

Hermione completely ignored him and looked at me, "Jacey, have you noticed something odd about this morning?" She asked, "Yeah actually I have-" I started to say, but I was cut off when Professor McGonnogal walked up to us and handed out our schedules.

"Oh great, First thing on my schedule is double divination." I groaned while eyeing the rest of my schedule, and then slamming it down on the table, I turned to sneak a peak at Harry's. He smiled, "You're in luck love, double divination." Ron smiled at us over his schedule, "Guess you two love birds will have to deal with me as well. What about you Hermione?"

Hermione snapped out of a trance again and smiled weakly, "Oh, I have uh, Advanced Arithmacy. Um Jace, I have to talk to you so um, can you meet me in the common room before lunch?" I nodded, "Sure Herms, but why can't you just talk to me now?"

"Well let's just say the walls have ears." She said nodding towards Ron and Harry. "What? You two can't talk because of us?" Ron asked indignantly. "Fine then we'll leave you to it then." He stood up and nodded to Harry, who stood up as well.

Hermione's eyes went wide and she jumped from her seat. "No, that’s okay, I don’t want to be late to my first class." She bolted from the Great hall without so much as another word.

Harry, Ron and I climbed the ladder and entered the highly perfumed classroom of Professor Trewlany. "Last night, I had a dream that I was eating a giant marshmallow, what do you reckon that means?" Ron asked as we sat at one of the long tables, Harry and I exchanged looks.

"I dunno mate, maybe you should ask Professor Trewlany."
"Haha. Very funny Harry." I suddenly realized that both Lavender and Parvarti were staring at me. "Um hey guys, how's it going?" They smiled, but didn't speak, so I tried again. "How was your break?"

"Is it true?" Pavarti barely whispered. "Is what true?" I asked, shooting Harry a glance. "Did you really sleep with Draco Malfoy over break?"
"WHAT?" My mouth hung open and I shook my head fervently. Lavender furrowed her brow, "You mean you didn't?"

"Of course not! Who told you that?" I shouted, "Well, Ginny told me, and she was told by Dean, who was told by Seamus, who was told by Padma, who was told by Cho Chang, who was told by Cedric Diggory, who was told by-"

"OKAY!" Ron shouted, holding up his hands.” We get it, but who started this rumour?"
Parvarti shrugged her shoulders, "Malfoy." I took in a deep breath and jumped up from my seat. "I'll kill him!"

The next thing I knew, I was running down the hallway with Ron and Harry at my heels, looking everywhere for Malfoy. "Jacey!" Ron panted "Slow down!"
"Can't boys, got to find Malfoy!"

"Come on Jace, please just let us talk to you." Harry added desperately.
"I will not stop until I find that lying little ferret!" I turned a corner and stopped suddenly, causing Harry and Ron to come crashing into me.

"What's up?" Ron asked, his voice slightly muffled by my hair. I pointed across the hall to where Draco was standing, laughing with his posse. "Speak of the devil!" Harry grabbed my arm. "Now don't do anything rash Jace, just stay here and take a deep breath."

"Shove off Harry!" I pushed him away and took off running down the hallway. "Draco Malfoy! You sad pathetic little ferret! How dare you spread rumours about me?" He looked shocked but at the same time amused, and pushed past Crabbe and Goyle who had jumped in front of him.

"Why hello there love, to what do I owe this great pleasure?" He asked smoothly. I rolled my eyes at him. " Don't play dumb with me, well, I guess in your place it wouldn't be playing." He laughed slightly, " All I did was tell people about the wonderful, pleasurable night we spent together last month. Don't worry, I said that you were as good as me." He added smirking.

"Wow Draco, I guess I should be thanking you, for ruining reputation." He smiled and slid his arms around my waist.

"Not ruining gorgeous, never ruining, only helping."
"Oh, right, well then I guess I owe you." I leaned closer and pretended that I was going to kiss him, and then spit in his face. "It's not going to work Malfoy, you've been after me since first year, it didn't work then and it won't work now. I will never fall for you."

I turned and started to walk back to Ron and Harry when I heard him speak. "Is that so Jacey? Well, I bet that you couldn't date me for a week without falling in love with me." I stopped dead in my tracks and looked into Harry's eyes, "Was that a dare?" Ron laughed.

"Well, technically, it was a bet."
"Fine then." Draco sighed, "I dare you." I turned and glared at him venomously. "Bring it on Malfoy."
