A/N: ( So I pretty much liked this one-shot and how it turned out.  It's rather slow at times, but it was fun to write.  I dedicate this miss pearluna who has been so lovely and left me so many encouraging reviews.  I know this isn't James/Lily, but I saw that you wrote a Harry/Ginny yourself so...I thought you might like this.  Also, lovely reviews would make a really bad day better.)

“I’m sorry…I know we had these plans for guy’s day out, but I need this opportunity, mate. I want to talk to her parents for permission…you know how important this is for me. Please, mate understand,” Ron explained through the phone. Hermione kissed teasingly on Ron’s neck.

“Ron,” she whispered, “come on.”

“Just a minute, Mione. Are you sure it’s okay, Harry?” Ron asked.

“It’s fine, mate,” Harry sighed, taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes. “Who should I invite on such notice?”

“Gin’s free. That git and her broke up and I’d appreciate it if you took her out. She’s been down in the dumps,” Ron mumbled, distracted by Hermione kissing his neck and rubbing his arm. “I really got to go, mate,” Ron stressed anxiously.

“Fine, fine, keep your pants on and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” Harry chuckled. He sighed and hung up the phone. He looked up Ginny’s number and dialed it. The phone rang and suddenly, a breathless voice picked up.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Gin. It’s Harry.” There was a pause at the other end.

“Oh, hey. What’s up, Harry?” Ginny answered.

“Well, I had plans with Ron to see the Qudditch match tomorrow, but he bailed out at the last minute. Then I thought of who’d appreciate a good game and your name came to mind. Want to go? We can catch dinner afterwards, my treat,” Harry proposed.

“Still no girlfriend eh, Potter?” Ginny muttered smugly.

“No, and even if I had one, I doubt she’d enjoy a good game like you would, Gin,” Harry answered.

“Touché. Alright, what time should I meet you?”

“I’ll apparate over to your house around nine tomorrow morning?” Harry suggested.

“Sounds good,” Ginny answered. “Thanks for inviting me.”

“Thanks for coming.”

“See you tomorrow, Harry,” Ginny muttered.

“Bye, Gin. See you later,” Harry muttered before hanging up the phone. He got up and got ready for bed. He climbed into bed, set his alarm, took his glasses off, and silently fell asleep.

Ginny hung up the phone and went into her kitchen and got a butterbeer out. She went out onto her balcony and sipped her butterbeer silently, watching the night sky and thinking. She wondered who would win the Qudditch game, but most of all she wondered what would happen with Harry. They had gone out for a short time during school, but they had broken up because they had thought they had been better friends than lovers. Ginny remembered going out with Harry and how much fun it had been. Despite their breaking up, they had remained friends. They’d finally gotten over the awkwardness. Ginny was slightly nervous on what could happen, but she didn’t let it bother her for long. She finished her butterbeer and yawned. She left her balcony and went to get ready for bed. After she climbed into bed, she silently prayed that tomorrow would be okay.

Harry woke to the beeping of his alarm. He sighed and leaned over to turn it off. He silently got up and got ready. He put the coffee pot on and let the aroma of the coffee fill his flat. He pulled on a clean pair of jeans. He pulled on his Chuddley Cannons Qudditch t-shirt. He ate a quick breakfast of toast and coffee. He checked his watch and saw it five until nine. He filled a travel cup of coffee for Ginny, and made sure that he had his wallet and tickets before apparating to Ginny’s flat. He landed in the living room and called out for her. “Ginny!” He heard no response so he carefully put the coffee down on her table and pulled his wand out to attack position. “Ginny!” He called out again anxiously. There was still no response. His mind was racing at a thousand miles an hour and he grew more anxious as seconds passed. He carefully walked towards her bedroom and sighed with relief. He saw Ginny asleep in her bed. He walked up to her and marveled at how beautiful and peaceful she looked as she slept silently. He gently shook Ginny to try to wake her. He leaned down to her ear, “Ginny, Gin, wake up. We have to go.” Ginny began to stir. He leaned over her to try to wake her up.

“Mmmmm…Harry?” She mumbled, sleepily. Her eyelids fluttered open and she was shocked to be so close and nearly face to face with Harry. Harry marveled at how beautiful she looked. Her porcelain white skin shone from the sunlight coming in from her window. Ginny shifted and Harry slipped a little, landing on top of her. “Oop!” She exclaimed. Harry’s face was even closer to hers now and she looked at his handsome face. They seemed to be getting closer together when Harry suddenly looked away and his strong arms came at her side and pushed himself up.

“Sorry, Gin,” He muttered sheepishly. Ginny nodded, finding difficulty to talk. She was a little disappointed that Harry hadn’t kissed her. She found herself wanting to kiss him and was shocked at how disappointed she actually was.

“It’s fine.” She looked at the alarm and groaned. “I forgot to set my alarm…damnit,” She muttered.

“It’s fine, Gin. Here, I brought you some coffee and I’ll make you some breakfast while you get ready,” Harry suggested. He ran back out and got the coffee from the table. When he walked back in, Ginny was standing and stretching. Her pajama top was raised slightly and her entire stomach was exposed. She was wearing a pair of boxer shorts and her milky white legs were exposed. Harry’s eyes bugged out at her abs and long, lovely legs, but he cleared his throat and pulled at the bottom of his shirt. Ginny looked at him quizzically and then realization showed as she widened her eyes. She quickly tugged her shirt down and a blush flushed on her cheeks. Harry smiled at her and handed over the coffee. She took a sip and she smiled happily.

“Thanks, Harry.” He smiled and walked over to her.

“No, problem. What do you want to eat?” He asked.

“Just some toast and I’ll grab a banana,” Ginny answered. He nodded and hesitated before leaning down and hugging her.

He whispered in her ear, “Besides, I liked the view.” Ginny’s spine shivered with the low air that was blown on her from his whisper and she smiled up at him. She slapped him lightly and he chuckled before leaving the room and closing her door. She smiled and rolled her eyes before taking another sip of coffee and finding some clothes to wear. She quickly grabbed a pair of tighter jeans and a fitted shirt and rushed to her bathroom. She pulled off her pajamas and pulled on the clothes to wear. She washed her face and brushed her teeth. She pulled her hair into a ponytail and did light makeup quickly. She pulled on a pair of socks and put on her trainers. She walked out of the bedroom and Harry handed her a plate of toast and a sliced banana and strawberries. “I thought a good breakfast was in order and I told my driver to skip and that we’ll just Portkey there. I’ve already contacted some people and pulled some strings.”

“Harry, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to sleep in…” Ginny explained lamely.

“It’s fine, Gin. Really, besides I think I like arriving like everyone else better. I didn’t want the big celebrity arrival again,” Harry muttered, rolling his eyes. Ginny and Harry talked quietly while Ginny finished her breakfast. “Time to leave, eh?” Harry muttered. Ginny nodded and Harry removed the Portkey from his pocket. “It’s best if you uh…hold on to me. It’s been proven…” Harry mumbled lamely.

Ginny laughed. “I know, Harry. I can read too,” She teased. He flashed her a smile and she slipped her arms around him as he wrapped his arms around her. They were pressed flesh together and Harry loved the feeling of her next to him. He continually told himself that she was just a friend and as he was saying, she laid her head on his chest snuggling into her chest and yawned.

“Five, four, three, two, one…” He whispered and the Portkey swirled them up into the air. They landed by the Qudditch pitch moments later and they clung to each other for a moment as they both tried to stop their head spinning. Just then, a reporter snapped their picture, grinning wildly. They had just caught the next scoop. Harry and Ginny eventually pulled away to look at each other. “You okay?” Harry asked concerned, tucking a piece of fallen red hair behind her ear. Ginny shivered pleasantly at his touch.

“Y-yeah,” Ginny answered hesitantly.

“Come on,” Harry responded. He took her hand and began to lead her to their seats. Harry began to talk to a Ministry official and then he handed him the tickets. Ginny looked around and smiled at the movement of everyone. “Come on, let’s go mingle,” Harry muttered.

“Wait, what?” Ginny asked.

Harry sighed. “You and I both know that I have to talk to everyone. The Minister, some Aurors, a couple of Board members, and we’ll see some other people as well. I believe we’ll be seeing Viktor again and maybe Derrick Polaso,” Harry explained as they weaved through the crowds.

“Polaso!” Ginny explained. “You’re pulling my leg!” Harry shook his head.

“He’s actually a pretty nice guy. He invited to me his wedding,” Harry murmured.

“Are you going?” Ginny asked.

“I told him I’d see if I could, but I refuse to go alone,” Harry answered as they climbed up stairs.

“I’ll go!” Ginny called at him.

“You will?” Harry asked, shocked.

“Sure,” she answered. Harry smiled brilliantly at her.

“Then I’ll go,” Harry muttered. They finally reached the box and they went around talking to anyone. In a while, Harry ended up talking to Polaso and Ginny talking to Remus and Tonks, both war heroes and Qudditch activists invited by Harry.

“So is that her?” Derrick asked.

Harry looked at him, puzzled. “What do you mean?”

“You sly dog!” He laughed. He pushed Harry’s arm. “You told me you didn’t have a girlfriend.”

Harry looked taken back at this. He chuckled lightly. “Gin’s not my girlfriend. I mean, she’s my best friend’s little sis. We dated back during Hogwarts, but we ended it quickly because we were just friends…” Harry explained.

“Mate, I’m going to be straight with you. She’s a pretty young thing,-don’t look at me like that, you know how much I love Clarisse-she’s funny, she seems to like you to, and she strikes me as the type to have gone through a nice bunch of boyfriends,” Derrick muttered.

“Yeah, well she’s agreed to come to your wedding with me,” Harry chuckled.

“Fantastic! She seems like fun,” Derrick announced happily. “Now, please, introduce us.” Harry rolled his eyes and walked over to Ginny.

“Hey guys, can I steal Gin for a minute? Someone wants to meet her,” Harry said, taking Ginny’s arm. “Gin, say hello to Derrick Polaso.” Ginny looked up and smiled at him. He kissed her hand and Harry rolled his eyes.

“Hello, Derrick Polaso. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Ginny murmured happily.

“Ginny Weasley, correct? Harry and I have been standing here talking about you,” He answered easily.

“All good things, I hope.”

“Outstanding things, actually, Ms. Weasley.”

“Please, Ginny.”

“Alright, Ginny. Do you know a thing or two about Qudditch?” Harry rolled his eyes and groaned as Ginny went on a ramble about her days as Chaser, her six older brothers, and following the game for years. Derrick looked shocked, but smiled amused as he watched her talk. “Wait, wait,” He muttered stopping her mid-rant, “you were a Chaser, too?”

She smiled. “Yeah, back in the Hogwart’s days. When Harry hurt himself or got in trouble, I doubled as a Seeker too. I actually probably could still do it if I got back in shape.”

“What are you doing now?”

“Actually, I’m going to Muggle college to try to figure out what I want to do. I’m studying art history, though,” Ginny answered.

“Wow, impressive. Why didn’t you go straight into the ranks?”

“Because I was off fighting the war with Harry, my brother, his girlfriend, and other friends of ours. I wanted to keep what was most sacred: my family.”

“Honorable,” He shrugged.

“I suppose, but what about your wife, Clarisse Walters? Wasn’t she a Keeper?” Ginny asked.

“Yeah, she was. How about you and Harry come over sometime and play some Qudditch?”

“Sure.”

“It was nice meeting you, Ginny.”

“Same.” Harry approached Ginny’s side.

“See ya, Harry,” Derrick muttered.

“Bye.” Derrick walked off and Harry turned to Ginny. “So what do you think?”

“A bit of a sweet talker, but a nice guy.”

Harry laughed. “Come on, let’s go watch the game.”

“Hey, can we get souvenirs afterward?” Ginny asked.

Harry laughed. “Yes, little girl. Whatever you want…” Ginny pouted and punched his arm. They sat down at their seats and excitedly watched the game.

“That was awesome!” Ginny screamed through the crowds, laughing happily. “I’m so excited we won!” Harry smiled at her.

“Souvenir time?” Harry asked her loudly.

“Sure!”

“Hey, let it be my treat, the whole day is.”

“No, Harry…”

“No, I insist.” Ginny rolled her eyes, but nodded. “Alright, you stay here and get ready to be surprised.” Harry wandered to a booth and stood in a short line. Ginny examined the crowd with vague interest before a familiar mess of bubble gum pink hair caught her attention.

“Oi, Tonks!” She called. The head turned her way and she then saw the faces of Tonks and Remus coming towards her. “What a match, huh!”

“Totally. Those were some of the best moves I’ve seen in years!” Tonks exclaimed. Remus stood at her side patiently, holding her hand. Remus saw the booth and then nudged Tonks. They whispered for a few moments before Remus walked away, reaching for his wallet.

“Getting a souvenir, too?” Ginny giggled.

“Yeah, a t-shirt. What about you?”

“I dunno. Harry’s going to surprise me.”

“Oooh. You two getting heated, huh?”

“No, Tonks. We’re not even dating.”

“Not yet, at least.”

“Tonks,” Ginny warned dangerously. Then Remus and Harry walked over both with bags. Harry’s looked much fuller than Remus’s and they were chatting happily.

“Love, I got you the greatest t-shirt,” Remus announced. He pulled a t-shirt that had a pair of beaters over the woman’s chest area and a pair of Quaffles over the bottom. Tonks slapped Remus playfully and kissed his cheek.

“Remus John Lupin!”

“I thought you’d enjoy the humor of the shirt, Tonks.” They waved good-bye and Ginny eyed Harry wearily.

“Please tell me you didn’t get that shirt.”

Harry laughed. “No worries,” He whispered, leaning into her. “I got you other things. I figured I’d get in trouble with you and your load of brothers. They might think its funny, but then they’d pummel me.” Ginny nodded, her focus fazed from Harry’s wonderful cologne. “Ready to see your surprises?”

“How about we find somewhere to eat first? I’m starving,” Ginny answered.

“Well, I’m tired of the crowds so I have the perfect idea of where to go. Here take my hand and I’ll apparate us there.” Ginny took his hand and they disappeared with a crack. When Ginny opened her eyes, she was surprised to see Harry’s flat.

“Mr. Potter, I believe your intentions are a bit…dirty,” Ginny teased.

“No, I just feel like cooking. Would you like my own home cooked meal from myself?” Harry proposed.

“Sure.”

“What would you like for dinner, miss?” Harry asked, mocking a French accent. Ginny just raised an eyebrow at him and shook her head.

“How about something simple? Would you make me a grilled cheese & some of that delicious, cheesy pasta from America?” Ginny sighed.

Harry’s looked at her puzzled. “Macaroni and cheese?” He guessed.

“Yes! That was it.”

“Alright, miss, you are not one that is hard to please. How about a butterbeer?” Harry offered. Ginny nodded and Harry went to his fridge, pulled two out, and handed one to Ginny. She opened it and took a long sip.

“Ah. I love these things,” She murmured.

“Ready for souvenirs, Gin?” Harry inquired. She nodded and he pulled a large collection of colors. He handed her a t-shirt for team with a picture of all the players on it, a pennant, a baseball cap, socks, and an odd stuffed cannon.

“What is this?” Ginny asked picking up the odd stuffed thing.

“A stuffed cannon. I thought you would find it humorous,” Harry answered, chuckling. Ginny nodded and gave a good laugh at it.

“Thanks, Harry. You didn’t have to get me all of this or none of it actually.”

“I know, Gin. I-I-I wanted to,” he admitted. “So I’ll get a jump start on that dinner.”

“Anything I can do?” Ginny asked.

“You can make the table,” Harry answered and he pointed to where the utensils and dishes were. They chattered about the bad dates, boyfriends or girlfriends, romantic experiences, and dates from the Hogwarts days while Harry cooked dinner. They laughed over new couples and who they thought needed to hook-up. They discussed current news, muggle and wizard, sports, and gossip. Harry retold stories about fans and people eager to thank him. Ginny recounted the same, but fewer and farther apart and much, much tamer. Harry even retold lame pickup lines he’d heard at local bars to Ginny. After they finished eating, they sat comfortably on Harry’s couch. They switched from the butterbeer to a muggle wine that Harry had been wanting to try. They finally discussed the originals: their hopes, dreams, jobs, faults, and most importantly, they finally reached what they wanted for the future.

“So, Gin, what exactly do you want for the future? Job or otherwise,” Harry asked carelessly. Ginny laughed and took a sip from her wineglass and swirled it in her hands.

“I know that I really want a family. Not one as large as the one I’ve grown up in, but a good sized one. You know three or four kids. A good house, good job, a happy family life, a wonderful husband, and 100% dark arts free,” Ginny answered.

“What about a career, Gin? You never struck me as the type to give up a career to be a Mom,” Harry murmured. Ginny took another sip of wine.

“I think that I want to do something more relaxing and not as fast paced. I’ve had wonderful fun with Qudditch, the war, and just my brothers to have more than enough adventurous experience that I had no control over. I’d like something part time; not demanding but that was flexible. Something like the art history or teaching at Hogwarts. I was always fond of that idea,” Ginny mused. “How about you, Potter? What kind of future do you fancy yourself for?”

“I’ve always wanted a family. That love and support system that I never received…I wanted to be able to give that to my kids someday. I don’t mind numbers as long as I get my family mostly. And I don’t want any more runs with evil. Contrary to popular belief, I want a more structured career than Auror or Qudditch star. There is so much risk that comes with the job that I’ve already come across at a younger age. I’m very weary about doing of that. Now if I were to like teach Qudditch or Defense Against the Dark Arts, I wouldn’t mind a bit. Or I could teach Auroring classes. I wouldn’t mind that. Though like you, I kind of like the idea of teaching at Hogwarts. I love kids, teaching, and Hogwarts has always been my home,” Harry responded. Ginny smiled at him.

“You’d be a wonderful teacher, Harry,” Ginny whispered shyly.

“You’re going to be a wonderful mom, Gin,” Harry murmured back.

“Harry...”

“Ginny…” They said at the same time. They both laughed and blushed slightly.

“Harry, I really wanted you to kiss me this morning when you woke me up. I’ve missed what we had. I know we agreed that we were better friends, but I can’t help but wondering…”

Harry cut her off. “That if what we had was extra special? Yeah, I’ve been wondering the same thing and Gin I couldn’t help but want to shower you with gifts and I wanted to flirt with you. So, Gin…I really like you again and-” Harry was cut off by Ginny’s lips pressing against his. Harry responded back to her gently, his strong arms wrapping themselves around her waist, pulling her flush to him. She wrapped her arms around his shoulder and messed with the messy, raven hair at the base of his neck. She weaved her fingers through his gloriously silky, soft hair. They pulled apart and Harry expertly moved his lips down her neck sucking, biting, and teasing on her neck. He kissed and raked at her sweet tasting skin and left love bites behind. Ginny pulled his face back up to hers and kissed him hungrily. Her tongue seared against his lips tracing them. Her tongue plunged into his mouth and their tongues danced wildly. Ginny pulled away and Harry kissed her neck again and her jawline, sucking on it.

“Harry,” She moaned pleasurably. Ginny had never experienced anything like this before. Sure, she had her ex-boyfriends, and a few of them could kiss like Harry, but none of them had sent the pleasure chills down her spine from their touch, lips, or the feel of their body against her. There were fireworks shooting off inside of her and she felt the wonderful feeling of being able to float on air. Ginny suddenly took charge and locked lips with Harry again, pushing him onto the couch. She lay on top of him still kissing him, but pulling at the edge of her shirt, her hand teasing along the top of his pants. Harry pulled away and pulled his shirt off. Ginny’s lips moved on his wonderful sculpted chest and abs. She kissed and teased at his skin as he’d done with her.

Harry groaned. He had never felt so wonderful in his life. Just like Ginny, he’d done his fair share of dating, perhaps less than Ginny, but none of his ex-girlfriends had this effect on him. He wanted to tell Ginny he loved her even though he knew he wasn’t that sure of their relationship yet. He wanted to know her more intimate ways then intercourse. He wanted to know her every thought about ever little thing in the world. He wanted Ginny Weasley all to himself; he never had to share her again. He knew that Ginny had drunk more alcohol then he had, but he felt some other magnet pulling them together. Ginny’s lips collided with his again, but he slowed down the kiss making it more sweet and passionate. Their lips moved together slowly in sync. They finally pulled away breathlessly and Ginny leaned her forehead against Harry’s.

“Harry,” She whispered, trying to gather her breath. “I-I like you too and I vote yes for trying to date again. Especially after that bloody brilliant kiss.” She smiled down at him and Harry leaned to kiss her. They pulled away again, both still trying to catch their breath.

“Ginny, I want to get you know different then I did last time. I know our relationship was a bit more…physical more friends-with-benefits, but this time I really want to get to know you, Gin. I want to know your view on everything in the world. I want to know you every way possibly outside of intercourse and I want to let you into my heart. I don’t love you yet, but I know that with time I could learn to love you. I know there is already a lot of potential there for that though.”

“Aww…Mr. Potter that is quite possibly the best line I’ve ever heard to get someone into bed,” Ginny answered, her eyes clouded with lust. She began to kiss him and her hands began to roam, but before they could get far, Harry stopped her.

“Ginny, Gin, stop. I want this as much as you do, but I want to do this on our own time. Not when we are both overrun with hormones a-a-and with alcohol in the mix. Let’s just slow it down a little bit. Now you obviously look tired and-” Harry was cut off by Ginny passing out on top of him. He slipped out from under her, careful not to make her fall. He put her tenderly on her back with care and went to his closet to get a blanket and pillow. He fixed her up on the couch and walked to change and go to bed. He then found an extra toothbrush and put it on the coffee table in front of Ginny in case she woke up feeling miserable and wanting to get rid of the alcohol on her breath. He kissed her temple lightly before going into his bedroom and falling asleep for the night.

Harry woke up the next morning to the sun blaring into his eyes. He groaned and rolled over, hiding his head. His head pounded lightly from what was too much consumption of alcohol. He woke up and took some muggle medicine for his headache before moving around quietly and making a pot of tea with a silencing charm on it so it wouldn’t wake up Ginny. He brewed some hang over potion and took a glass of it. He figured Ginny would need twice as much seeing how much she consumed and her run with alcohol from the past. He saw Ginny sleeping uncomfortably on the couch and groaned at how selfish he was. He picked up Ginny and tucked him into his bed. He cleaned up the pillow and the blanket putting it away. He made himself an omelet and some dry toast before sitting down at his table with a cup of tea, orange juice, his breakfast, and the Daily Prophet. He scanned the articles mostly uninterested when he heard a pop and saw Ron appear right before looking extremely worried.

“Harry, do you know where Ginny is? I went to her place to tell her the good news and invite her to breakfast with Mione and I but, she wasn’t there,” He asked slightly anxious.

“Ron, hold on.” Harry walked over to his bedroom and motioned for Ron to peak. Ron saw his younger sister sleeping on Harry’s bed and turned to him his face bright red. Harry closed the door and cast a silencing charm.

“Better explain Potter before I beat the bloody shit out of you! How dare you take advantage of my sister,” He growled angrily.

“Hold on, Ron. I can explain. Yes, Ginny spent the night, but not the way you think. She came over for dinner and we stayed up late talking and drinking. She had too much and passed out on my couch. I set her up there and I fell asleep in my own bed. Well, I woke up this morning and realized that I shouldn’t have left Ginny on the couch. That I should have given her my bed and I take the couch, so I moved her to get some better sleep. And now I was eating my breakfast.”

“What happened yesterday, mate?” Ron asked, calming down and sitting down at the table while Harry finished his breakfast. Harry offered him some tea, but Ron declined.

“Well, we had a really good time and I realized that about half-way through that I really like your sister, Ron.” Ron looked at him slightly shocked, but happy all the same. “I’ve been comparing all my dates to her. No, she’s too tall, too dumb, too weak, too clingy, too curvy, not curvy enough. That I’ve been looking for someone just like her and I was hoping that this morning after the talk we’d had last night about both of us liking each other that I could ask her to be my girlfriend. Now, I’m kinda asking for your permission now so, what do you say?” Harry explained.

“I say that it’s fine with me, Harry. I was disappointed back at Hogwarts when the two of you had broken up the first time, to be honest,” Ron answered. He checked his watch and smiled at Harry. “Well, I’ll be off. Got a whole day of stuff to do. Bye, Harry.”

“Wait, Ron!”

“Yeah?”

“If you need help picking out a ring, ask Ginny,” Harry grinned. Ron nodded and apparated out of there. Just then, Harry’s bedroom opened to a very sleep Ginny. She stumbled through and Harry gave her the potion. She drank it down and he handed her a glass of water. She drank that down after the potion and smiled gratefully at Harry.

“Thanks,” She murmured huskily, her voice still strained from sleep. Harry kissed her temple and smiled at her.

“Want some breakfast?” She nodded thankfully. He gave her the toothbrush and she went into the bathroom to freshen up.

“Do you have anything I could borrow to change into? I’m really uncomfortable,” Ginny called from behind the door. Harry grabbed a pair of his boxer shorts and an old, small shirt from his drawer. He knocked on the door and Ginny’s hands grabbed the clothes. Harry finished Ginny’s omelet, toast, and sliced up fresh fruit. He put it on a plate and poured her a fresh mug of tea. It was waiting at the table for her when she came out. Harry sat at the table with her and they talked a little bit, but mostly enjoyed the quiet silence. Suddenly, Ginny let out a strangled noise. Harry’s head snapped up and looked at her.

“What? What is it?” Ginny folded down the Prophet and showed Harry the picture. It was the two of them in the embrace from when they’d landed for the Qudditch match. There was a ridiculous article written with a bunch of lies following it. They both laughed it off, but they were both slightly on edge after that.

“Harry, what exactly happened last night?” Ginny asked, not looking up or meeting Harry’s gaze. Harry explained it the best he could. And Ginny nodded. “I remember it…briefly, but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a wonderful dream.” Harry smiled widely.

“Ginny, I was wondering…if you’d be my girlfriend. I know it’s a bit rushed, but…” He was shushed by Ginny’s finger on his lips.

“Yes, Harry. I’d love to be your girlfriend,” Ginny whispered. She leaned in and their lips brushed before their lips reconnected and the kiss grew passionate. They finally pulled away and smiled at each other. They’d found each other once again because of a Qudditch match.
