How do I
Get through one night without you
If I had to live without you
What kind of life would that be?
Oh I need you in my arms
Need you to hold
Your my world my heart my soul
If you ever leave
Baby you'd take away everything good in my Life.

Ginny was only slightly aware of turning on her old muggle radio that Hermione had given Mr. Weasley for Christmas, only to be filched by Ginny days later. She wasn’t exactly sure why, but she was fond of the love songs that were played occasionally. They vaguely reminded her of her non-existent relationship with The-Boy-Who-Lived.

But The-Boy-Who-Lived wasn’t the most important thing on her mind right now. It was what he was up to, that worried her more. That was the reason that Ginny was now sitting in a dark corner of the hallway in the Burrow. She had been there for only a few moments ; the charade to make it appear as if she was sleeping took longer than she had realized. Thankfully Ginny wasn’t to late, for at the moment she was almost ready to give up, she heard the tell-tale creak of the stairs coming from outside of Ron’s room.

She sat still as silent as a mouse while she waited at the foot of the stairs for the three whom were trying to creep out unnoticed. As the creaks stopped and she heard foot steps very close to her, she tensed knowing her chance was nearing. She had planned this moment very carefully.

Ginny had realized something that the other’s hadn’t thought about. When the trio was eleven years old, they could all fit comfortably underneath the cloak. Now at the age seventeen, it was very tight quarters. Especially with Ron, whom seemed to grow taller every month. And she was right. As the trio were almost to the bottom of the stairs, they let down their guard. All of it took was a small flash of white trainer for Ginny to know their exact location.

Ginny sprang up form her corner and grabbed the cloak where she had seen her brother’s trainers only moments before. “Harry James Potter, how dare YOU!” Ginny snarled in a deadly whisper. Wow, she thought to herself, I really am starting to sound like my mother!

Ron seemed to think so too, as soon as they had been revealed he had leaped half-way across the room. Hermione was standing beside Harry looking anxious, twirling her wand between her fingers. Harry however, looked both frightened and angry. “You will come with me NOW. We need to talk,” Ginny gabbed a finger at his chest with the hand in which she still firmly held the cloak. Harry sensing defeat, merely nodded and followed her into her bedroom.

And tell me now
How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breathe without you
If you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I
How do I
O how do I live?

“How dare you Harry? You haven’t spoken a word to me the entire three weeks you’ve been here unless it was forced. Who do you think you are, leaving in the middle of the night? What about Mum? What would she think? What about ME Harry? You owe me this much” Ginny flicked her wand at the door and cast a silencing charm on the room so they wouldn’t be heard.

“Gin….Ginny, I though you understood? I can’t endanger you like this. I can’t get you killed,” Harry sounded defeated yet his voice told her he wouldn’t change his mind.

“Why can you take Hermione and Ron then? Don’t I mean just as much to you as them?” Ginny’s eyes were sparkling with tears but she wasn’t going to give up.

“Ginny I don’t love Ron and Hermione like I love you,” Harry blurted before he could catch himself.

“I don’t care that you………what did you just say?” Ginny was flabbergasted to say the least.

Without you
There'd be no sun in my sky
There would be no love in my life
There would be no world left for me
And I
Baby I don't know what I would do
I would be lost if I lost you
If you ever leave
Baby you would take away everything real in My life

“I love you Gin. I love you so much, yet I can’t do anything about it. I have to keep you safe.”

“Oh stop it with this stupid noble crap, Harry! Did you ever think that maybe I love YOU. What about me? What if you died and I never got the chance to see YOU again? I wouldn’t be able to live without you.” Ginny stared defiantly at him, while Harry stood dumfounded.
“You love me? After all I’ve put you through, you actually love me? But what about Voldemort, Ginny? I would die, if you died. There would be no reason for me to live.”

“Harry, I don’t care about you being The-Boy-Who-Lived! I could care less. I don’t give a damn about that. All I care about is Harry. My Harry. I love MY Harry,” Ginny looked straight into Harry’s emerald orbs and he could tell she was telling the truth.

“But, Ginny… I can’t help that think every moment I’m with you, I’m putting you in danger. I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on beating Voldemort, if you were with me.”
“Stop Harry. Just stop. This is not helping. All we are doing is arguing about the same thing over and over again. It’s pointless.” Ginny’s shoulders slumped a little bit but she still wasn’t about the let the boy, no wait, she reminded herself, the man, she loved get away this time.

“I know Gin. But I feel the same way you do. I love you too.” For the first time since Dumbledore’s funeral, he took her into his arms and just held her. And even if this was only for a while, Ginny didn’t mind. She knew she had what she wanted. She had Harry. And he had her. If, only he was smart enough to realize, Ginny had always been his.

And tell me now
How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breathe without you
If you ever go
How do I ever ever survive?
How do I
How do I
O how do I live?...

Please tell me baby..

Ginny stumbled out of Harry’s embrace (far to soon in his opinion), with a defiant look on her face, once more. “I don’t think so Mr. Potter. We aren’t through with this conversation. I’m going with you and I won’t take no for answer.”
“Gin……” Harry started but was cut off by Ginny.
“No, Harry. If you won’t let me go with you, then I will find another way. Being Hermione Granger’s best female friend has its perks. I’m sure I can find another way. Take your pick. Either I go with you or I go alone. I’ll be in my room, and you will go talk to Hermione and my daft git of a brother that you are so much alike. Don‘t dally around to long, or I might not be here when you get back.” And with that Ginny removed the charm from her room and shoved Harry out of the door.

How do I go on?
If you ever leave
Well baby you would take away everything
Need you with me
Baby don't you know your everything good in My life

There was a gentle knock on Ginny’s door nearly an hour later. Ginny answered it slightly suspiciously because of the solemn looks on Harry and Ron’s faces. Hermione however, she noticed was trying to look disapproving, but Ginny knew her well enough to see the look of happiness that was hidden behind it.

“Ginny, we’ve talked and we’ve ALL decided that if, you wouldn’t willingly stay then we couldn’t force you to. So it’s up to you if you want to. I thought you might like to stay, and give your Mum moral support.” Hermione through Ron a reproachful look when he scoffed at the idea of Ginny willingly staying behind. “We’ve also decided that you would be better of with us. All of us,” Hermione concluded.

“Gin, are you sure you really want to do this? You can say no now, but after we leave to hunt Voldemort down, you won’t be able to back out.” Harry spoke for the first time, and look directly into Ginny’s chocolate brown eyes.

“Yes, Harry. I can’t stand to not be with you any longer. I want to do everything I can to make sure Voldemort dies for good. He’s killed to many people close to us. I think it’s time you tell me everything. Everything you keep from me, puts me in more danger. Not knowing can be more dangerous than knowing everything,” Ginny said pointedly looking at Harry.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione all looked at each other, and Ginny gestured to her open bedroom door. They all went inside and told her everything. The prophecy, the horcruxes, Harry’s ability to love, everything.

And tell me now
How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breathe without you
If you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I
How do I
O how do I live

Four Months Later:

The trio and Ginny had just destroyed the final horcrux (the cup) and were walking into Hogsmeade when they heard slow drawling voice of Lucius Malfoy. “Well if it isn’t Potter and his little mudblood and blood traitor? Or wait, the way I hear it now, is that Potter has taken up with the littlest Weasel.”

Ron and Harry instinctively moved in front of Hermione and Ginny, but it was all for naught. As soon as Lucius had directed his attention onto taunting Harry, Ginny and Ron had both fired hexes in his direction, that had very successful results. Ginny had produced her best Bat-Bogey Hex ever. And Hermione of course, had done the logical thing, stun him and tie him up.

“Thanks, guys. We weren’t expecting that were we? Wonder what he’s doing here. He escaped from Azkaban months ago but I didn’t think he would be smart enough to leave Voldemort’s side. Unless…..” Harry’s face darkened as he thought of the worst possible thing.

“Harry? What’s wrong mate?” Ron was the only one who didn’t seem to notice the gravity of the situation. As, he looked at the others faces he noticed there was something wrong, “oh, you don’t think…..?” Ron trailed off finally understanding.

“Yes Ron, we need to get the hell out of here. It’s not safe Harry! You shouldn’t be out in the open!” Ginny’s pleas were useless though, for as soon as she said them, Death Eaters Apparated from every direction, blocking the path to the castle. “Oh damn,” Ginny cursed as she grabbed her wand from her pocket and started cursing Death Eaters at random.

“Honestly, Ginny! You can’t just start firing hexes everywhere!” Hermione whispered as she lowered Ginny’s wand arm. “We need to try to get away, not make them angrier.”

“There’s no need for that Mudblood. I‘m only here for Potter and Potter only. But if you make things difficult then I might have to kill you.” Before Hermione stood Voldemort himself, his red snakelike eyes darting between Harry and his Death Eaters. “Come, forward, my faithful servant. There’s no need to be frightened of Harry Potter. He is but a child after all,” This time he beckoned to someone in the shadows behind him, and for the first time they saw another person. It was Wormtail.
“You…” Harry snarled viciously and he probably would have done something foolish if Ginny hadn’t whispered to him softly, “No Harry. What would your parent’s want you to do?”

“Well, well. Does Harry Potter have a girlfriend? We’ll take care of her later. But for now," Voldemort called forth his Death Eaters, “take care of the others. Leave Potter for me.”

The Death Eaters advanced toward them while, they fired off spell after spell simultaneously. Some of the Death Eater, fell but after several minutes, fighting erupted all of them leaving Harry to duel Voldemort as they all knew he would have to.
Ginny and Hermione were standing back to back dueling 4 Death Eaters, while Ron circled them and disarmed several others who were trying to creep up on Harry. After Ginny and Hermione stunned, bound and disarmed most of the Death Eaters, they preceded to find Harry and Ron in the chaos. They noticed that someone had alerted the Order, because as they looked around they saw Tonks, Lupin, Moody, Hagrid, Fred, George, Bill, Charlie, and many others.

At last Ginny spotted Harry, dodging “Crucio” after “Crucio” as he ran behind building to keep away from Voldemort. “Harry, over here!” Harry ran towards Ginny and pulled her and Hermione behind the remains of the Three Broomsticks. “Here,” she said hurriedly, as she thrust her wand into Harry’s outstretched hand and grabbed his own. Remember your’s won’t work against Voldemort.”

“Thanks. Look, you need to find Ron and get out of here.” Harry said as he peered over the girl’s shoulders.

“No. We’re here till the end Harry. I love you. Now go kill that evil ba***rd!” Ginny kissed him briefly on the lips and Hermione gave him a hug before they pushed him back in front of the shop.

An hour later, Hermione and Ginny were once again dueling back to back as they waited for Harry to end all of this. There was a loud scream and Ginny turned her back on the Death Eater she was dueling, which almost resulted in getting her killed, if Hermione hadn’t stunned him. Ginny took off running with Hermione on her heels to the last place she had seen Harry. She stopped short and glanced at Hermione who was gulping back tears. Harry was lying on the ground desperately reaching for Ginny’s wand. “Come on Harry! You can do it. You have to. Don’t give up. How am I supposed to live without you?” She screamed as loud as she could, but she was sure that Harry didn’t hear her.

How do I live without you
How do I live without you baby.......
How do I live....

But Harry did hear her, though neither understood how. He grabbed Ginny’s wand and uttered the words, that killed the greatest evil that ever existed. “Avada Kedavra” Voldemort’s body crumbled into ashes and Harry lay on the ground panting as he tried to sit up. Ginny and Hermione raced over him and were soon joined by the most of the Order. The last thing he said before he passed out was, “Did Wormtail escape?”
Later after they had found Ron and gotten Harry and the others to St. Mungo’s, they would learn that Wormtail didn't escape as they had thought. Ron had wandered off on his own to help Harry and had been confronted by Bellatrix Lestrange. Wormtail had seen the duel from the beginning and as Bellatrix shot the Killing Curse, he jumped in front of Ron and gave Ron enough time to stun and disarm her.

In the end there were no deaths of anybody they knew, although there were around 200 muggles killed before the Death Eaters arrived in Hogsmeade. They helped the best they could and Harry and the others were released soon. Ginny and Harry were soon married afterwards as well as Ron and Hermione.

Ginny sighed a contented sigh as she turned off the muggle radio in her and Harry’s bedroom. She only listened to these songs now because she enjoyed them. She had Harry and four wonderful children, she didn’t need muggle music to remind her of the real thing.
“Oh Harry, I’m so glad you made it. I wouldn’t have been able to live without you!” Ginny told her husband for the millionth time.

“I know Gin, I love you too.”
