Hey girl, you know you drive me crazy.
One look puts the rhythm in my head.
Still I'll never understand why you hang around.
I see what's going down.

Draco watched as Ginny strode down the corridor on the arm of that prat Bryon O’Hara. Ginny had broken up with Draco for him. Not a smart move on her part. She never looked happy. As if there was some secret that wasn’t going to be shared.

He still was crazy about her. He thought about her constantly. Wishing she were still his. Hoping that one day she would come to her senses and leave that jerk.

Draco caught her eye. He smiled and she looked back to the ground sheepishly. What was going on with her?

Cover up with makeup in the mirror,
Tell yourself it's never gonna happen again.
You cry alone and then he swears he loves you

Ginny stood in front of the mirror in the girl’s bathroom. Her eyes had dulled and her face had lost its color. Mostly everyone knew why. She just didn’t want to come to her senses and do something about it.

What would happen if she were to tell? Bad things ran through her mind. Images that belonged in a horror film; images that frightened her. She took out her foundation and applied some more. She touched up her eye liner and eye shadow. Hopefully hiding the fact that she had cried.

She walked out of the bathroom and saw Bryon. She walked up to him, fearful of what might happen if she walked the other way.

“Hey baby,” He smiled at her, acting as if nothing had happened.

“Hi, I’m sorry,” She quickly said.

“It’s ok. I still love you.” He smiled again.

Ginny smiled weakly in return. She knew he loved her. But does he when things happen?

A pebble in the water makes a ripple effect;
Every action in this world will bear a consequence.
If you wait around forever you will surely drown.
I see what's going down.

She knew she had made the mistake of leaving Draco. But she was too far into the new relationship to back out. No one could help her now. She hated him. She hated him with a passion. A blaze of hatred seared through her veins whenever he touched her. That as well as another emotion.

Ginny wasn’t sure what it was. She hadn’t really known what it was. She had never felt it before. Sure, she had had her dealings with danger and other frights. But this was unlike any other. This was more horrific than any other by far.

She had to leave. She just didn’t know how.

I see the way you go and say you're right again,
Say your right again
Heed my lecture

“I’m right, you know I am,” Bryon sneered. He paced in front of Ginny, who stared blankly, straight ahead.

“I’m sorry to have ever doubted you. Please forgive me. I know that you are right. You have been right from the beginning. It’s all my fault.” Ginny did as she was told, as always. She said what he wanted to hear, she told him anything that wouldn’t make her feel that unknown feeling again.

Do you feel like a man when you push her around?
Do you feel better now--she falls to the ground.
Well, I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found.

Ginny met Bryon where he said to. She was late, on accident. Professor McGonagall had kept her late. She prayed he wasn’t mad with her.

“You’re late,” Bryon said dangerously.

“I’m very sorry! Professor McGonagall held me back and I tried to leave... but... but I couldn’t manage to.” Ginny pleaded.

Bryon smirked, “I highly doubt that love.”

Ginny anticipated the blow. Bryon had struck her side and she fell to the ground. She tried not to cry and slowly got back up. Only to be knocked back to the ground again.

Tears flowed like rivers down her cheeks. Ruining her make-up and hurting her pride once more.

“Bryon, I’m so very sorry! I really tried!” Ginny begged. She got to her knees and looked into his eyes.

“Ginny, dearest, as much as I’d love to believe you, I think you are lying. You told her, didn’t you?” He scowled and hit her once again. She fell to the ground, this time she was smart and didn’t rise.

“You’re pathetic,” Bryon said and walked off.

Face down in the dirt she said "this doesn't hurt"
She said "I've finally had enough"

Ginny didn’t dare get off the ground. The cold dirt soothed her wounds. Hopefully her side wouldn’t swell like last time.

Her ribs ached and her stomach churned. She wanted to throw up. This wasn’t how she wanted any relationship to be. She wished she hadn’t gone out with him. But she didn’t know.

“This doesn’t hurt,” She whispered. She tried to keep from crying anymore. It’s wasn’t working however.

Against her will, she began crying. She slowly got off the ground and headed for the bathrooms. She needed to wash up before she could return to the common room.

She pealed off her shirt. Carefully trying to not irritate her new bruises or wounds, as well as the old ones. Ginny looked at her bruised body in the mirror. Black, blue, and purple bruises showed brightly against her now pale skin. A cut that had barely healed, was now reopened.

Ginny got into the shower and tried to wash away the blood and pain.

“I’ve had enough,” Ginny stated. She was going to end it.

One day she will tell you that she has had enough.
It's coming round again.

Draco had watched as Ginny had walked into the school. She was alone and she clutched at her side. He knew what was going on. He had known for a while.

He hoped she would end it soon. Bryon would eventually kill her if she didn’t do anything. Draco knew that for a fact.

Ginny walked out of the bathroom and was greeted by Draco. A smug look was plastered to his face. She didn’t want to hear it. “Sod off Draco. I don’t need anything from you.”

“I know what he does. I’ve seen it. It won’t stop unless you end it. I can help if you want me to.” Draco said, his voice was hard, but his eyes betrayed him. They showed the concern he had for her, his genuine care for her well being.

“I’m going to,” Ginny said shortly and briskly walked away.

Draco sought out Bryon the following day. If Ginny wasn’t going to end it, Draco was. He didn’t want to see the love of his life in pain. He didn’t like Bryon’s disrespect for her.

“O’Hara! We need to talk,” Draco said coldly.

Bryon turned to face him. “What the hell do you want, Malfoy?”

Draco punched Bryon square in the face and watched as Bryon took several steps backward.

“Don’t you dare touch her again you filthy mud blood! If you do, there is no where you can hide!” Draco growled.

“What makes you think I hit Ginny?” Bryon asked, wiping the blood from his lip.

“I’ve seen how she is. Do you feel like a man when you hit her? When you push her around? Does it make you feel good when you see her cry? Or maybe when she is falling and blood it seeping through her shirt? Does it make you feel better?” Draco snapped.

“Malfoy, you don’t know anything! You don’t know what’s going on, you don’t understand!” Bryon barked.

“I know enough. It’s going to end, whether you like it or not.” Malfoy turned on his heel and walked away.

Bryon found Ginny under a tree outside. It was getting dark and Ginny knew she shouldn’t have gotten caught alone. She shivered as the hairs on the back of her neck rose.

“Ginny, we need to talk.” Bryon sneered. He slapped Ginny hard across the face. She had to take a step to keep her balance. Her hand shot to her face and she looked at him.

“What did I....” Ginny couldn’t finish. Bryon punched her. She spun around and landed on the ground. Her heart pounded. He was angry, he never hit her where anyone could see it.

“You little bitch! Why did you tell him? He knows and you’re going to pay for it!” Bryon screeched and kicked her in the ribs.

The wind was knocked our of her and she began to cry. Not like this. I don’t want to die. Not like this!

She looked at him and the long awaited anger in her eyes flared up. “I’m not going to let you hit me again!”

Bryon smiled, “Yes you are.” The butt of his hand connected with the small of her back. She fell to the ground, pained shot through her body.

“I’ve had enough of this!” Ginny screamed. She rose to her feet and drew out her wand.

Bryon’s eyes, for once, portrayed fear. “Ginny, don’t do anything you will regret.”

“How would killing you be regretful?!?” Ginny had snapped. She was sick of being the punching bag. It was time for him to feel what pain really is.

Ginny pointed her wand at his chest. “If you ever touch me again, I swear to the gods that I will kill you! I will send you to hell! But not after beating the shit out of you, as you have done to me on many occasions! I’ve finally had enough!”

Face down in the dirt she said "this doesn't hurt"
She said "I've finally had enough"
