“Perfect,” Sensei exclaimed. “Get your mits and pads on, and you can demonstrate some sparring for everyone.”

Hermione and Draco obeyed, hurrying to pull on the protective equipment, and then walking back to the front of the class. They both, but relecunatly, bowed to eachother a breifly shook hands. They stared each other, glaring. If looks could kill, they would both be dead. Hermione and Draco sparred for 5 minutes, both knowing they were up against a tough opponent.
It started with Draco scoring a point for a roundhouse kick to the head. All the Gryffindors groaned, and the Slytherins cheered. When the match was started again, Hermione was determined to score the next point. After about a minute, she did, with a punch to the chest. After that she scored a point for a groin kick, and then Draco scored one for a punch to the face. When they faced eachother again, they knew that the next punch would decide the winner of the match. They fought mercissly, but Hermione eventually scored a point for an elbow to the head.
Hermione won 3-2.

“Class is almost over, so go and get changed. When you come in tomorrow, get changed and then line up how I showed you. Everybody change. Mr. Malfoy and Miss. Granger. Can you come here when you’ve changed?”

Hermione nodded and grabbed her bag, heading back into the changing rooms and ignoring all of the stares. Draco did the same, followed by everybody else.

“How come you never told us?” Harry asked when Hermione exited the classroom after talking to Sensei.

“I don’t know,” Hermione said. “I just didn’t. Does it matter?”

“I guess not,” Ron said. “But it was bloody brilliant when you beat Malfoy.”

“He was tough,” Hermione said. “Never under estimate people, not even Malfoy. I only just beat him. I thought I was going down after he scored the first point. My chest still really hurt’s after that second punch.”

Harry smiled and sighed as they lined up for Potions. Hermione looked briefly at Draco and smiled slightly. Draco nodded back before turning back to his friends.

“Hey Granger,” a voice called. Hermione turned back to the Slytherins and saw Pansy Parkinson facing her. “I bet you feel all high and mighty, but you know you’ll never beat my Drakie again.”

Hermione laughed.
“Did you understand half the things Sensei was talking about Parkinson?” She asked.

Pansy, rather than say anything, just glared at Hermione and then turned to Draco, loudly asking him to beat up Hermione.

Draco Hestitated, but finally said, “Never. She’s tough. Why don’t you have a go?”

Pansy nodded and walked towards Hermione. In a matter of seconds, Pansy was lying on the floor, whimpering.

“Next time, pick on someone your own level.” Hermione hissed before entering the classroom with her friends.

“I can’t believe you did that,” Harry whispered, grinning, as the last of the class, including Pansy, sat down, and Snape came in. “That was great, but you’re going to get in he trouble.”

“No I won’t,” Hermione whispered. “Parkinson won’t dare tell, I’ll kill her if she does, and she knows it.”

After Charms, the three went to the great hall and met up with Ginny.

“I’ve got to tell you something Gin,” Hermione said. Ginny nodded and Hermione continued. “I’ve actually been doing Karate since I was 5, and I’m a black belt. Also, I beat Malfoy in class today since we’re the only ones who have done Karate before.”

“That is so cool,” Ginny exclaimed. “You beat Malfoy! Was it easy?”

“It was probably one of the hardest things ever. He’s the toughest person I’ve ever been up against since I was a purple belt.”

“Oh, well, you still beat him. That’s the important thing.”

Hermione nodded and sat down.

After lunch, the 7th years had a free period, so Hermione grabbed her stuff and went up to the room of requirements to train. When she got up, Malfoy was standing and watching a door appear. Hermione coughed and he turned around before walking into the room and motioning for Hermione to follow him. Hermione walked in and shut the door. The room was the same as their Karate classroom. Hermione went to change, and then came out and started to practise Kata. After a few minutes, Draco joined her.

“You’re good,” Hermione admitted quietly as she grabbed her drink bottle. “Sparring you was hard. My chest hurt for ages after you punched me.”

“Yeah, you’re alright yourself,” Draco said. “My arm still hurts. And seeing you takedown Pansy was great. I can’t stand her.”

“Want to do Pre-Arranged?” Hermione asked.

Draco nodded and stood up. After half an hour of training, Hermione took a quick shower in the changing room’s, dried herself and put her school uniform back on.

“When’s your next free period Granger?” Draco asked when she came out.

“Straight after Karate class tomorrow.” Hermione said.

“Same here,” Draco replied. “Come up here and we can practise again. What do you think we’ll be doing in class?”

“Hope it’s Kata.”
Draco nodded and continued to walk down the stairs as Hermione turned to the fat lady. Sensei had told them after class that they would be practising things together while he taught everybody else.

“Where were you?” Ron asked when Hermione went over to them.

“Room of Requirements,” Hermione said. “What have you been doing?”

“I did that essay for Snape.” Ron replied.

“And I don’t believe you,” Hermione said. “I’ve got Arithmancy soon. Bye.”

Hermione went to her room and dumped her sports bag on her bed. Picking up her book bag, Hermione headed down to the Arithmancy classroom.

A/N: Well, there you go, hope you liked it. I've got the next few chapters written, so expect to see them soon. Again, if you don't understand anything, just ask.
