Sixth year has ended, and what remaining students there are returning home on the Hogswart Express. While each sits in their own private world, Harry finds himself growing angrier and more more frustrated with his companions and his role in the war. It's as though everyone has given up, he muses. They are relying solely on him. But Harry and the others are about to face a new, sinister task. Snatched as they pass through the barrier, they are swept away from all they know. Harry and the others are then forced into a sinister game where the rules and the playing field keep changing.

It started with a question. Is your marriage okay, Harry? How do you answer to that? Is she cheating? Am I really happy? Little did Harry know that his and Hermione's relationship is about to change for the worst.

Eight people, put together in a house for two months? It's proving to be not so much for fun, more for your rights.

It’s a game we play, this undercurrent of tension and excitement, running just under the radar of our friends.

I met his eyes across the corridor and a flicker of understanding passed between us.
He nodded so barely that if I hadn’t been paying such close attention that I would have missed it.

It was a dangerous game we were playing, but it was worth it. Well worth it.
