So, I just found this story and read all the way through before realizing that you're probably not going to finish it? Or are on some kind of very long break. Sadface. I'm very impressed with what you've written, though. Well done!

Review #3, by tangledconstellations Prologue: Another Show, Another Sickle

16th July 2012:

I've been meaning to read this since forever, and straight away it looks like so much fun! I'm so glad I've finally been able to jump into it, because I have heard so many good things about it! I love Fred, he's so funny and a great narrator. Everything about this first chapter is just so carefree and fun, down to the dramatic language and the hilarious situation.

I really like the way you've introduced us to the characters without going overboard at all. Each character is so unique and it's neat that they have their own roles and their own way or responding to each other, even if it is cheeky. I also really like that you've tied this in with the way families are really close in the wizarding world. I mean, his grandmother was super cute, but the reference to aunt Hermione and stuff - I can just imagine that family reunions are chatty and so full of life :D

I like the way this has a lot of dialogue, too - mainly because it's a radio show :P - but also because it lets you get really hooked and lost with it, so you feel like you're there. I love the way there are many-a gags and all of them come across as perfectly charismatic, but the fact that there is this carefree bubble makes me excited about later chapters and what is going to happen to kick this novel off :D

Also, I feel the need to mention that the cousin love in this story is outstanding. I have 14 first cousins on one side, so let's just say...I get it. You're quite good at characterizations, might I add.

26th March 2012:
First off, Hugo is so different from what I expected. Awesome. I like him.

Secondly, favsies:

"No, Hugo would have had eighty percent less clothing and twice as many girls."

"It was about time Hugo became as pathetic as the rest of us, spending his morning with relatives after a wild night out."

So great. I know it's been a bit, but please update? This is SO original compared to absolutely anything on this site and I'm adoring it so far.

I love this fic, the best I've ever read, I burst out in hysterical maniacal laughter every five seconds, settle myself then start all over again. Your characters are amazing, hugely believable and well...just downright entertaining!

I love it! Hilarious! Rose, a hippy? Genius! Keep on with the brilliance! I mean, lily, reporting on her own father? Where do you come with it?! Wherever it is I could do with a visit! Keep on writing such genius story lines! Oh, and by the way, I've never given anyone a 10/10 before!!

Sigh. James and Tibbs, why must you TEASE me so? I absolutely adore this story and am beyond ecstatic that you've begun updating it again. The characterizations, writing style, and humor are absolutely flawless and the ease with which it all reads makes me SO jealous. I adore the cousin dynamic, love that you put thought into individualizing every character, and LIVE for the possibility of Tibbs and James realizing that the giant block of tension between them is maddeningly sexual and can be fixed with a charged and impromptu snog session in the Morning Waffle storage closet during a 'coffee break'. Damn, the hilarity of having Fred narrate the awkward aftermath of that alone would kill me. All in all, I love this story and can't wait to read more! Down with Boringsworth!

"And Neville can... go plant something..."
Hahahahaha! Not that I encourage fictional liver damage or anything, but I do hope we see more of Drunk James.
"I want Hannah to put me to bed."

I have missed all your incredible characters and their mad personalities.

The snapper prank was sheer brilliance, especially since I was genuinely scared for Fred's life at the end of the last chapter.
-gullible blush of shame-

The whole Molly Rose scene had me in tears. As idiotically highpitched and crazy as it was - I'd be lying if I said I haven't seen girls do this countless times. And I'd be just er, avoiding the truth if I neglected to mention I've probably done it ... a few times ... myself.

Best main character ever. Oh, I want to shower this fic with so many dobbys and snitches and nobel peace prizes that you'll spend the next two years running for fear of shiny-metal-prize rain.

And Raj, sweet sweet Raj.
"Rajís mum reportedly cried when he married Michelle, the complete antithesis of a nice Indian girl."

You have such amazing comic timing and characterizations and pace and all that and just. I need to gaps between updates to let the awesome sink in. (This is not an excuse for you not to update PRONTO else the shiny metal rain /will/ find you) :D

Review #14, by joojoo So a Seeker and a Radio Host Walk Into a Bar...

22nd October 2011:
Without a shadow of a doubt one of the most fast-paced and brilliant fics around. The amount of times I giggled to myself ( - couldn't laugh too loudly because it was 2am)... well I don't know how many times it was. Point is, the whole fic is hilarious, but it's not in-your-face about it, which I love. So far, most memorable moments that have stuck in my head are the kettle the boys made for their gran (so sweet!), the reference to the riots (so clever :)) ), and my oh my that lovely scene where Raj pretends to be the Snapper. Fred is such a fantastic character. In fact all of your characters are very much real to me. None of them seem unrealistic and they all add different dimensions to the story, and I have to rate you for being able to keep up with them all - they pop up everywhere :)) It's weird for me to think of Harry, Ron and Hermione as ageing, but you can really feel the new, fresh, blood coming through and see how the youngsters are now the oldies. I'm not complaining, they had their time. Now it's all about Fred... and the countless other Weasley(Potter) cousins.
Once again, brilliant fic. Love it to pieces. Can't wait to see how you move on.

Review #15, by LoopyLemon Prologue: Another Show, Another Sickle

5th October 2011:
This is brilliant!
I loved the intro. You captured me totally right from the beginning and had me laughing with that line "I couldn't take care of anything more complicated than a cat"
The fast paced style of writing fits a radio show perfectly and I love the fact that Molly hasn't lost any of her motherly attributes.
Fred seems exactly as I would imagine him. He has the sense of humour of his dad and uncle and you pull the dialouge off beautifully.
I loved the touch of the clock, showing the fun in the office and a bit of the relationships through something that is funny in itself.
All in all a beautiful piece of writing that had me laughing the whole way through. Can't wait to read the rest!!

Review #16, by Mistress So a Seeker and a Radio Host Walk Into a Bar...

4th October 2011:
Ahhh. My favorite story.

I finally got a chance to read it with the whole starting a new job fiasco. I can't tell you how much I love every chapter. Each of your characters if fantastic, and even though sometimes I have to work my brain to remember which has which personality, I love them all. James always steals my heart. I know you know I have a special place for him in any story. But at the end with his obsession with Hannah. Just makes me cry laughing. I also had to stop myself from doing said laugh-crying simply because I am currently at my new job taking a break from press releases and other nonsense I don't want to do.

Fabulous chapter! I can't wait for your next update! Update when you can (which I hope is sickeningly soon. Like...in an hour). Thank you for writing!

You ain't dead!

Well, this was a very good chapter, and a remaining only reason why I even go on this site anymore.

My only qualm is the lack of Dex in this chapter. Because, what did you called him again? deliciously, deviant, d... Hmm, forgot the rest.

James' date sounded awesome. Will we be seeing more of this Andy bloke? "I really try to understand women. I mean, I really try. Sometimes it just isnít bloody possible."

This member of the female race agrees with you. We make no bloody sense.

And to quote your fans, Update soon (please!)!

7th September 2011:
uh, let's see: what do i want to discuss first?
the fact that you updated and i am beyond ecstatic right now, just in case you didn't hear me squealing through your monitor?
how simultaneously glad/disappointed i was to find out that it was not, in fact, the snapper attacking fred?
how much i loved james becoming best buddies with andy, the MAN that bought a date with him?
how much i want fred's job because it is the embodiment of AWESOMENESS?
how hilarious the character of rose weasley sounded, being a free spirit/hippie?
how effortlessly amusing your stories is, and how i reread the whole thing before reading the new chapter, and enjoyed it EVEN MORE (which i certainly didn't think was possible) than the first time around?
I CAN'T DECIDE!!! i think i'll just ugly-sound-vomit all over the box.
sooo...there's my review...*shrug and innocent smile*

Review #23, by theelderwand So a Seeker and a Radio Host Walk Into a Bar...

7th September 2011:
Mel! You're back. That's great to see. I'll bet you are just pleased as firewhisky to be writing again, too.

Nice bait and switch with the begining. I could've sworn the Snapper had him! Great practical joke. Loved it.

This, however, was my favorite part:

"Yes, James. I believe your brother is spending his money and almost nonexistent free time taking out a specific girl you dislike in an elaborate yet farfetched attempt to make you lose sleep at night. You sodding moron."

Hannah owns the Leaky? I thought she and Neville owned the Three Broomsticks? Whoops, checked potterwiki and, you're right. They're at the Leaky! Don't you hate being wrong about stuff like that?

This was an awesome description: "Rose had her mother's sense of social justice, her father's blunt realism and flair for profanity, and the same charisma as her brother."

Great to see more of the cousins show up like this. Can't wait for Christmas as that'll call for a complete family get together and those are always fun. Also cool when you throw stuff in like the reference to Vic whipping up on them if they were to prank Ted. That stuff's just cool.

Enjoyed this and hope more's on the way!

P.S. Welcome back!

P.P.S. I really need to read The Stars Were Dim. I'll get there soon. Promise!

Review #24, by Hope's Mom So a Seeker and a Radio Host Walk Into a Bar...

6th September 2011:
Awesome update! The "snapper" prank was hilarious (as was the next day followup on the show). What a nice surprise to meet Rose in your story! Hopefully Tibbs and James can be more agreeable now. I like that she and Albus are dating. I hope it lasts. The last part with James and Hannah was a bit sad (on James' part). I was thrilled to read this update - thank you for writing!

6th September 2011:
GAH. I've missed this fanfic so much, seriously glad you've updated and hope the next chapter is posted sooner. You really did not disappoint and I'm so glad Tibbs and James are starting to actually get along. And she hugged him! I still hold out hope for these two stubborn nutters to get together. They are perfect for each other and Tibbs needs to wrap things up with Albus (and pronto!). But, yeah, great chapter and I really did love it. 10/10
