Chapter: A New Beginning | Story: The Call of the Ancestors

Nice first chapter. I really love the relationship between Gwen and Dumbledore, the name 'Gwen Doll' is just so cute :D Also, I really liked how Gwen thought automaticly of Hogwarts as home, as I'm sure most wizards do. Ashlar being described as a puppy, this is the first fic I've seen use the concept of Azkaban horses, I like it and to have one be described as a puppy - hilarious! I look forward to seeing how Gwen handles her classes, art at Hogwarts, the only thing it is missing in cannon ...

The "Azkaban breed" is based on the Friesian breed of horse, that although is big, black and decended from the Great Horse that carried knights, are actually quite affectionate and playful. The story explains later why the Riders no longer exist by the time the "Prisoner of Azkaban" year happens and the prison is left with Dementors.
