This story remains excellent.  My only gripe is that it all seems to go so fast, I would love to hear more details.  I don't know how you feel about reviewers giving you suggestions, but I've got one, so you can ignore it if you like.    I'm not sure if you've heard of this, but HBP has led some people to theorize that the reason Snape hates James, and therefore Harry, so much is because he had feelings for Lily.  It occurs to me that your story might be just the place to explore such a possibility, if you're so inclined.  Anyway, take it or leave it, but don't stop writing, I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

This is working out to be a very interesting story.  My only trouble with it is that the Mauraders seemed to have figured out everything we know that they do rather quickly, such as deducing that Lupin is a werewolf and deciding to become animagi.  It always seemed to me that they only actually managed to become animagi sometime during their fifth year, and four years seems like an awfully long time for wizards as clever as James and Sirius (although now that I've thought about it I can't remember if that impression is actually due to something in the books or not).  Of course, I'm sure this is all a clever device so that you can invent more of the story yourself, kudos for that.  Anyway, thanks for reading my rambling, now I'm off to read more!
