Chapter 1: Changed
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

It was a sunny day as Hermione Granger walked onto Platform 9 ¾. It was her last year attending Hogwarts. She saw many familiar faces, like Parvati and Lavender's... but nobody seemed to recognize her. Who could blame them? She didn’t look like the Hermione she was in 6th year. Over the summer, Hermione had done a lot to herself. She got her hair cut, to just a little below her clevage, and had it straightened and highlighted with streaks of blonde. She had filled out in all the right places. Her breasts got larger, her hips were wider, and she grew about 4 inches, standing at 5’6”. She was toned, and had a nice stomach. She also got some piercings over the summer. Her ears were double pierced, and so was her right cartlidge. She had also been brave, and gotten her belly-button pierced. She got a sense of good style too. This morning, she was wearing a white halter, and denim flares, with black stilettos. Needless to say, Hermione Granger had become a hottie.

She decided to go find Harry and Ron. She haden’t talked to them all summer, since she was so busy. She found her way onto the train, and into their usual compartment. The door swung open, and there sat Harry, with his arm around Ginny, and Ron in the seat opposite the couple. They all stared at Hermione. Ron’s jaw even dropped.

“Hermione… is that really you?” Ginny questioned.

“Who else would it be?” Hermione grinned.

She sat down next to Ron, and said “hi” to all of them.

“Her-Hermione…wh-what… ha-happened?” Harry questioned. He was obviously taken aback by his best-friends’ new appearance.

“What do you mean ‘what happened’ Harry? Nothing happened. I just changed my appearance." She was getting uncomfortable with her friends gawking at her.

It wasn’t that much of a transformation she thought to herself, when she heard Ginny clear her throat.

“I think you look absolutely stunning Hermione.” Ginny smiled. Hermione smiled back, and gave Ginny a hug. She was happy that at least someone understood.

Harry and Ron just stared at her.

“Well, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go to the Head’s compartment, seeing as I am Head Girl. I will talk to you all at dinner.” she said, and left the room.

Hermione made her way to the back of the train. She plopped into the Head’s compartment, and was just about to close her eyes, when the door flew open. She snapped her head towards the door, and saw none other than…

Her arch enemy… Draco Malfoy. He smirked at her, and she rolled her eyes.

“What do you want ferret?” she snapped.

“What’s it to you filthy mudblood?” he retorted.

Hermione laughed. She remembered what she had discovered over the summer. She wasn’t a mudblood. She was in fact a pureblood.

“Hermione…” her mother said. “We have something we need to discuss with you.

Hermione looked puzzled at her mother and father. “OK… what is it?”

Her mother started saying, “Well… we have been keeping something from you…”

Hermione looked worried.

“You are not our daughter.” her father, well, father figure, said.

Hermione’s jaw dropped open. “Well… then… who are m-my parents?” she managed to mutter.

Her mother, well, mother figure, well… the woman in front of her, sighed.

“Your parents are Rachael and Jordan Turner. They are pure-blood wizards. Very wealthy.”

"You have your own vault filled with money in Gringotts." her adoptive mother said, handing her a key.

"And a mansion." her adoptive father said before handing her another key, and a piece of paper with the address.

Hermione’s jaw dropped another 2 inches. She was shocked. She wasn’t Hermione the mudblood. She was Hermione, the rich pureblood. She couldn’t wait to rub that in Malfoy’s face.

*End Flashback *

“What are you laughing at mudblood?” Draco snapped.

“You’ll find out soon enough ferret. Now what the hell are you doing in my compartment?” she said.

Your compartment? I’ll have you know, Granger, that I am head boy.” he sneered.

Hermione’s eyes grew big, and her jaw dropped.

How the hell did that happen? she thought to herself. I’m in for quite a year

A/N: So? What did you think? Hate It? Love It? Please let me know!!

Chapter 2: Unpleasant Surprises
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot. J.K Rowling owns the charaters, and Lindsay Lohan owns the song.

Hermione could tell it would be a long ride to Hogsmeade Station.

“At least I don’t have to deal with Harry, Ron, or the Ferret” she thought aloud.

Malfoy had left to go hang out with Crabbe and Goyle. Hermione had the compartment to herself. She took out her CD player, a muggle device used to play music, and started singing along with the song.

Time stops for no one and goes on unaware
It's easy not to notice
It's easy not to care
Conversation circles
As money changes hands
Been standing in the middle
I've been caught up in the spin
Out of the confusion
The static and the noise
You got my attention
You made me wanna...

Live its the last moonrise and
Scream just like no one's there
Lose all of my defenses
Hold you, touch you, love you like its
A very last moment in time

It seems like I woke up beneath a different sky
And I'm drunk on what I'm seeing
Through these open eyes
All the little ways you move me
All the pieces you expose
The illusion I held on to
You've got me letting go

I just wanna stay here soaking up the rain
Falling out around me wash the world away

Live its the last moonrise and
Scream just like no one's there
Lose all of my defenses
Hold you, touch you, love you like its
A very last moment in time

Let me feel you next to me
Let me taste the breath you breathe
Open up the space between us

Live its the last moonrise and
Scream just like no one's there
Lose all of my defenses
Hold you, touch you, love you like its
A very last moment in time

Live its the last moonrise and
Scream just like no one's there
Lose all of my defenses
Hold you, touch you, love you like its
A very last moment in time

Hermione was so caught up in singing, that she hadn’t noticed Malfoy leaning against the doorframe.

He had gone to do his rounds on the train, when Draco heard someone singing. The smooth, silky voice was captivating. He followed the angelic sound, when he got to the Head’s compartment.

No way he thought. That can’t be Granger.

He had been leaning against the frame for a good minute, until Hermione finally noticed him.

*End Flashback*

“What do you want Draco?” Hermione asked, with a bit of shock in her voice.

She called me Draco... he thought.

“Nothing, Mudblood. I just heard your singing, and thought someone was dying.” he sneered, giving her a look that could kill. Only he knew that what he had just said was far from the truth. Hermione had the voice of an angel.

Did I just think of her as Hermione? This can’t be happening. I’m not supposed to have feelings for Grang...the mudblo...Hermio... HER! he thought, mentally slapping himself across the face. He looked back, expecting to see Hermione, but she was gone.
When Draco went to leave the compartment, he was surprised to see Professor Dumbledore standing in the doorway.

“Hello Mr. Malfoy” Dumbledore said.

“Hello Professor. Are you in need of something?” Draco queried.

“Indeed I am Mr. Malfoy. I was wondering if you could fetch Ms. Granger for me. I need to speak with you both.” he said, his eyes twinkling in the light.

“Of course Sir.” Draco said with a smile.

Once he left, a scowl found its way to his face. He reached Hermione’s compartment, and flung the door open.

“Weasle-Bee, Potty, Little Weasel, Mudblood” he spat.

“What the hell do you want Malfoy?” Harry said.

“Cool your jets Potter. I’m here for Granger.” Draco smirked.

"She's not going anywhere you you ferret!" Ron, who was now standing, said with his wand pointed at Malfoy.

"Sticking up for your girlfriend Weasley? How sickeningly sweet." Draco spat, now facing Hermoine.

“Dumbledore is waiting for us, so any day now would be good Mudblood.” He felt sick inside. Draco knew it was wrong to call Hermione mudblood.

Hermione left the compartment, leaving Malfoy in her wake, and entered the Head’s Compartment, greeting Professor Dumbledore.

“Good afternoon Ms. Granger. I see Mr. Malfoy found you” Dumbledore greeted.

“Yes,” Hermione said, shooting a disapproving look at Malfoy, “he did.”

“Good. Now, if you both will take a seat, we have some important matters to discuss.”

Dumbledore pointed to the seats opposite himself, motioning them to sit down. Hermione and Draco both took a seat, and looked back to Dumbledore.

He cleared his throat and began.

“First and foremost, let me congratulate you on becoming Head Boy and Girl. It is a great honor to uphold. I believe you two will represent Hogwarts wonderfully.”

Hermione and Draco smiled.

“Second, being Head Boy and Girl, you need to be civil to one another. You will sit next to each other in class, and set good examples for the other students.”

Draco and Hermione both frowned at the idea, but nodded their heads in understanding.

“Ah. We will be arriving at Hogsmeade Station in about 15 minutes. Please change into your robes. I must leave, to go check on some last minute preparations.

Dumbledore stood, and went to leave, but turned around.

“Oh. Before I forget, after the feast, please meet me at the staff table so I can show you to your new dormitory. See you soon!”

With that being said, Dumbledore left with a *pop*, leaving Hermione and Draco, with a combination of surprise, and disgust, on their faces.

A/N: Haha... do you like it? Please R/R!

Chapter 3: A Blonde-Haired, Blue Eyed Slytherin
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Hermione and Draco were still in shock when they arrived at Hogsmeade Station. Hermione was about to leave the compartment, when Malfoy pushed her.

“Out of my way Granger,” he smirked.

“Arrogant ass...” Hermione said under her breath.

Hermione finally made her way to the Great Hall. She sat down, next to Ron, and across from Harry and Ginny. She was about to tell them all about Malfoy, and her true identity, when Professor McGonagall strolled in, leading a bunch of first years into the Hall behind her.

“They’re probably scared shitless that they will be sorted into Slytherin” Ron whispered, trying to hold back laughter.

Hermione was about to tell him to shut-up, when the Sorting Hat started its song.

Welcome to another year
At the finest school of them all.
Hogwarts open its doors again,
And welcomes everyone, big and small...

That was all Hermione had heard. She felt as if someone were watching her. She snapped her head up, and looked around the Great Hall. She had felt correctly. To her surprise, a certain blonde-haired Slytherin was staring and smiling at her. She gave him a small smile back, and felt herself blush.

Hermione’s mind started to drift. She thought about turning 18, leaving Hogwarts, and Draco.

Wait. she thought. I can’t be thinking about Dra...Malf...him! I just can’t be! He’s my enemy. He hates me. Snap out of it Hermione! she said to herself.

As soon as Dumbledore’s voice echoed throughout the Hall, she forgot about her thought, and focused her attention on what her Headmaster was saying.

“Welcome to another year at Hogwarts. Before we begin our excellent feast, I have some start of term rules and announcements. First off, the Third Floor Corridor, on the West Side of the castle, and the Dark Forest are strictly forbidden to all students. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch, has a list posted on his office door, of all items not allowed in the castle. This list includes all of the Weasley Twins’ products.”

Dumbledore chuckled, and looked at Ron and Ginny, who were turning slightly red. Harry snaked his arm around Ginny’s waist and gave her a reassuring squeeze. Dumbledore smiled, and continued.

“We have a new, well, to this year, Defense Against Dark Arts teacher. He will be familiar to most of you. Please welcome the return of Professor R.J. Lupin. Good luck, professor.”

Dumbledore’s eyes twinkled and he smiled, as Remus Lupin stood, and the Great Hall burst into applause and cheers.

“All right. Now settle down. Only one more announcement. We have two new Head’s this year. Our new Head Boy and Girl are Mr. Draco Malfoy from Slytherin, and Miss Hermione Turner from Gryffindor. Congratulations to the both of you.”

The Great Hall once again burst into applause, and murmurs. They were buzzing about Hermione’s sudden name change.

She rest her head in her hands and sighed. So many questions were running through her mind. How did Dumbledore know? Why did he announce this to the whole school? How would Harry, Ginny, and Ron react? More so, how would the whole school react? Why was Malfoy staring at her? What the hell was going on in her life?

All of this was way too much for Hermione to handle. She hadn’t expected her true identity to be revealed so soon. She lifted her head from her hands. She realized everyone was eating. She took this as an opportunity. Because everyone was too busy stuffing their faces, nobody noticed her slip out of the Great Hall and out of the castle into the cool, refreshing night. Nobody, except a blonde-haired, blue eyed Slytherin.

A/N: I am SO sorry for taking so long to update! I had serious writer’s block, but now I’m back! Also, sorry the chpater is so short! Please R/R!

Chapter 4: False Appearances
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Harry, Ron and Ginny were too busy stuffing their faces to notice their best friends’ absence. Ron went to grab another chicken wing when he noticed.

“’Arry, Gin, ‘ave you seen ‘Mione?” He managed through a mouthful of chicken.

Harry and Ginny looked around the Great Hall. Hermione was nowhere to be found.

“I wonder where she is?” Harry asked.

“I just said that you idiot!” Ron said.

“Maybe she was feeling ill,” Ginny said hopefully.

“I sure do hope you’re right Gin” Harry replied.

He stood up to go back to the Gryffindor Common Room. He helped Ginny up and the three of them walked up to the Common Room together.

After the feast, Malfoy went up to the staff table, like Dumbledore told him to.

“Hello Professor” Malfoy said, making his presence known.

“Ah! Mr. Malfoy. But, where is Miss Turner?” Dumbledore asked.

“Turner?” Draco asked puzzled. “Oh, you mean Granger don’t you? I believe I saw her step outside. Sir, why did Hermione change her name?” Malfoy asked.

“That, is not my place to say, Mr. Malfoy. I believe I may have overstepped a few boundaries announcing her name change at dinner.” Dumbledore said, with a frown upon his face.

“Nonetheless, I will show you where you and Miss Turner’s common room is. Please follow me Mr. Malfoy.”

Dumbledore and Draco made their way out of the Great Hall. Dumbledore walked down the corridor, past the trophy case and down the stairs. He stopped, but only when he reached an extremely large tapestry, decorated with all of the house Mascots and Crests on it. He smiled at Draco, as he said the password: Amore. The tapestry turned into two big, oak doors. Dumbledore winked at Draco, as he ushered him in. Draco walked through the doors, and was impressed with what he saw. He was in a hallway. There were stairs descending down from where he stood. He started walking down the stairs. He noticed on the walls of the Hallway, were pictures of him and Hermione throughout their lives. He saw one of Harry, Hermione and Ron, all waving.
“Yes, Mr. Malfoy. Those pictures are of the happiest times of your lives thus far.” Dumbledore said, smiling.

Draco noticed one of him. He was on his toy broomstick, riding around in the air happily. There were so many pictures. Then, he saw two almost identical ones. They were the very last pictures. They were directly opposite each other. They were of him and Hermione, opening their letters saying they were Head Boy and Girl. Draco smiled. He figured those two pictures were supposed to be the greatest moment in their lives. Draco finally reached the end of the stairs, even more impressed.

The large room was decorated in reds, golds, blacks and silvers. Draco had to admit the colors blended together nicely. To his left, was a small kitchen. To his right, a small library. In front of him was the sitting area. There was a black couch, with gold stitching and red and silver pillows. To the left of the couch, a black arm-chair, with a red blanket hanging over the arm, and the Gryffindor Crest on the back of the chair, where your back rests. To the right, there was another black chair, but this one had a green blanket hanging over the arm, and the Slytherin Crest embroidered into it. In the middle of all the chairs and couches, was a crystal coffee table. Of course, there was a large fireplace. To the left and right of the fireplace, were two sets of stairs, leading to his and Hermione’s bedrooms.

Above the mantle of the fireplace, there were two paintings. They were of him and Hermione. He suspected that the paintings were enchanted to mimic their moods. In Draco’s painting, he was smiling, smugly. In Hermione’s painting, she was sighing, with a single tear running down her cheek. Draco finally remembered Hermione was outside. His painting frowned.

I was right. They do mimic our moods he thought.

“Professor, thank you for taking the time to show me to the Common Room. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to go check on Miss Grang...Turner.” He said calmly.

“Ah. Smart idea Mr. Malfoy. Good evening!” Dumbledore said, as he walked back up the Common Room stairs, and out into the castle’s hallways.

Malfoy grabbed his cloak and headed towards the entrance of the castle.

He walked outside onto the grounds. The wind was blowing gently. Draco scanned the area, trying to see Hermione. He saw a shadow leaning against a tree by the lake. He walked towards the lake, hoping he would find Hermione.

He did, of course. Draco saw the girl against the tree, staring at the lake. Hermione was, yet again, singing.

Probably some muggle song Draco thought.
He was a good ten feet away from Hermione, but he could hear every word she sung perfectly.

Well, I couldn’t tell you
Why she felt that way
She felt it everyday
And I couldn’t help her
I just watched her make
The same mistakes again

What’s wrong, What’s wrong now?
Too many, too many problems
Don’t know where she belongs
Where she belongs

She wants to go home
But nobody’s home
That’s where she lies
Broken inside
There’s no place to go
No place to go
To dry her eyes
Broken inside

Draco listened to Hermione’s voice. He had never seen this Hermione. He had always seen the happy, studious, in control, bossy Hermione. Never had he imagined he would see the sad, alone, vulnerable and lost Hermione.

You would have never thought she had so many...problems. She hides them well. Hell, with her makeover, you would think her life is great, Draco though. He wanted to hold her in his arms, and make everything go away. Or, at least, that’s what he thought he wanted to do. He wasn’t sure.

Malfoy was about to walk over to her, when he stopped.

Oh no! She’s seen me, Draco thought, as Hermione started to move.

She didn’t. She pulled something out of her pocket. Draco couldn’t tell what it was, so he walked a little closer. He didn’t need to go any closer. He could tell what the object was by her actions.

Hermione put the thin object to her wrist, and gasped as she cut a two-inch gash into her soft flesh.

A/N: Sorry it took me so long guys. I’ve been busy/sick. Sorry if this chapter sucks! I personally don’t like it! Please R/R!!

Also: I know that cutting is a sensitive topic, and I am sorry if anyone is uncomfortable with this. I would never write about something I didn't know. I have had friends that cut and I too have cut, so I am sorry if this offends you in anyway, but it is a crucial part to my story.

Chapter 5: Fallen
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Draco stared in disbelief. Hermione put the blade back into her pocket and wiped her wrists on her robes. Draco had decided to go talk to her. He cleared his throat.

“Hermione, are you out here?” He asked already knowing the answer.

She gasped and dried her eyes, holding her arms close to her.

“W-what do you want ferret?” She asked rudely.

I hope he didn’t see me she thought.

“I just came to talk. I mean, come on. We’re head boy and girl now. We should try to be civil to each other and get along. And that all starts when we know stuff about each other.” he smiled.

Hermione was shocked. Was Draco Malfoy trying to be nice to her? Was he actually trying to have a civil conversation with her?

“Umm... maybe tomorrow Draco. I don’t feel like talking much tonight. I just want to go to bed. Could you show me to the common room?” she asked with a smile upon her face.

“Sure. Follow me.” he said, offering his arm to her.

Hermione took a hold of Draco and they walked back to the castle. Draco led Hermione past the trophy case, down the stairs and tow the entrance of their common room.

“Passssword?” the snake on the Slytherin emblem hissed.

“Amore.” Draco replied clearly. Hermione was still holding on to his arm.

The tapestry turned into the large oak doors. Draco opened them and showed Hermione inside. She stared at the staircase. She headed down, looking at all of the pictures. She stopped to look at the one of Malfoy on his toy broom.

How cute... she thought.

“Erm... Granger?” Draco asked, snapping Hermione out of her thoughts and back to reality. She entered the common room. Her reaction was the same as Draco’s. She loved it. Her gaze was drawn to the pictures above the mantle. Both painting were smiling. Hermione’s, however, seemed to be forcing a smile.

“Well,” Draco said. “Your bedroom is to your left up the sta... Granger?”

Hermione was sitting on the couch crying again. Her sobs echoed throughout the common room.

Draco walked over to the couch and sat down. He wasn’t sure if he should comfort Hermione or if she even wanted to be comforted. And why did he keep calling her Hermione? All of those thoughts were erased when he felt something. He looked down. Hermione was clinging to Draco’s shirt, sobbing uncontrollably. A small whimper escaped her lips. Draco wasn’t sure what to do, so he did what his first instinct was, her held her close and comforted her. Her breathing was short and rigid, and he looked at her as her chest rose and collapsed with every sob.

“’s OK. You’re fine. Everything is going to be fine. Just trust me.” Draco whispered into her ear.

“Oh Draco...what am I gonna do?” Hermione sobbed into his chest.
“Well... first,” he said lifting her head up. “You can stop crying. We don’t want tears staining your beautiful face, do we?” Draco asked as he brought his hand up to her face and brushed her tears away with the back of his hand. Hermione smiled weakly.

“Second, you can get some rest. You need your beauty rest.” he smiled. Draco then got up from the couch. He bent down and picked Hermione up off the couch like a groom does a bride. He was surprised at how light she was. Hermione let out a small gasp as she was startled from her change in position. Draco carried Hermione up the staircase to the left. He stopped in front of the door to her room.

“Third, you can pick a password for you room.” he said. Hermione thought for a while before she said something.

“Hot.” she said to her door.

“Why thank you. I know I am.” Draco laughed.

“You idiot. Those are my initials. Hermione Ophelia Turner. H.O.T. Get it?” she asked laughing.

Though you are pretty hot. Shit Hermione! Stop that! she thought to herself.

“Right... I knew that.” Draco said as he carried Hermione into her room. He lay her on her bed and smiled. Her covered her up under the satin covers and sat on the edge of her bed.

“Malfoy...why are you being so nice to me?” Hermione asked as Draco brushed a strand of stray hair away from her face.

“Well?” she asked again. Hermione never got an answer. Draco’s soft lips brushed against her own in an innocent kiss. He pulled away and got up from the bed and left the room without another word or another glance back.

Hermione was still in shock. She brought her finger to her lips and touched them. She could still feel Draco’s lips upon hers.

“Am I falling for Draco Malfoy?” she asked herself. She touch her lips again.

Oh yea. Definitely. I’ve falling and I can’t get up she thought to herself as she fell into a dreamless sleep.

In the other bedroom, which happened to be his own, Draco Malfoy was pacing in front of the window. He had changed into a pair of green silk boxers. (A/N: ::drools:: I can see it now...)

“Why the fuck did I kiss her!?”
“Because you like her.”
“I do not!”
“Yes you do!”
“No I don’t!”
“Then why did you kiss her?”
“Because...because I was being nice!”
“A little too nice if you ask me.”
“Shut up!”
“You like her. Don’t deny it.”
“Maybe a little bit...”
“Maybe a lot!”
“OK! A LOT! I mean...she’s perfect! She smart, talented and the most beautiful woman alive. Who wouldn’t like her?”
“I knew it.”
“Oh shove off...” Draco argued with himself as he threw his body on his bed. He brought his fingers to his face and touch his lips. He could still feel the warmth of Hermione’s lips.

I’ve fallen for Hermione Granger...Turner... and I can’t get up he thought as he too fell into a dreamless slumber.

A/N: I know, a lot of floofy-ness going on. I know, the whole I’ve fallen and I can’t get up thing is really cliché, but oh well. And I know that Hermione's middle name isn't really Ophelia, but oh well. And, I know both Draco and Hermione are really OoC but I couldn’t help myself. I love non-canon romance stuff. Also, I’m sorry for taking so long to update, but I’ve been busy. So, please R/R and I’ll try to have chapter 6 up as soon as I get it

Chapter 6: Not So Good Morning
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

A stream of sunlight shone through the maroon curtain of Hermione’s bedroom. She woke up feeling refreshed. She stretched her arms above he head and her eyes grew wide. Her smile turned into a frown as her gaze landed on her wrists. There were scabs starting to form on the thin cuts.

“Shit...” she muttered under her breath. She grabbed her wand and said a healing spell as she watched the semi-fresh cuts disappear back into her soft flesh. She set her wand back down and too this as a wonderful opportunity to properly examine her bedroom.

She was sitting in a large, king-size, four poster bed. It had gold silk sheets and maroon pillows with gold stitching. Her comforter was exquisite. It was made of red velvet and in the center was the Gryffindor crest of a lion. To her left, there was a small nightstand. In the drawer was her favorite book, Hogwarts: A History, and her Head Girl Handbook. To the left of the small table was a fairly large walk in closet. She noted that all of her clothing was already put away neatly. I’ll have to thank the house elves later... she thought. South of the closet was a small vanity with a beautiful gold framed mirror. On the wall near the vanity was a picture. It was of her, Harry and Ron last year in the Gryffindor Common Room. A small plaque underneath the picture said “The Golden Trio.” To the right of the Golden Trio picture was a door leading to her and Malfoy’s shared bathroom. To the right of the door, on the next wall was yet another picture. It was of her and Ginny outside by the lake on a sunny day. Directly opposite her bed was a small sitting area. It was fully equipped with a small fireplace and a maroon and gold chair and loveseat. To the right of the fireplace was a picture of Hermione at the Yule Ball in her 4th Year. Viktor wasn’t in the picture. Thank god... she thought. Then, there was the door leading out to the common room next to that picture. On the wall to the right of Hermione’s bed was a very large bookcase filled with tons of untouched books. In the corner of that wall, all it was, was a large wrap around window. In front of the window was a medium sized mahogany desk. The desk was laden with quills, parchment and ink. The best part of the room, in Hermione’s opinion was her rug. It was a large oval rug that was placed in the center of the nice wood floors. It was red with gold stitching that read:

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Head Girl
Hermione Ophelia Turner
Gryffindor House.

Hermione finally decided to get out of bed and get ready for the day. She shuffled across her room to the bathroom door. She opened it and shielded her eyes.

“Sweet Jesus Malfoy!” Hermione shrieked as she felt a blush creeping upon her face. Draco was standing in the middle of the bathroom, smirking, in all his glory.

“Afraid of my masculinity Granger?” he smirked.

“Yes! Now put some clothes on! And stop calling me Granger!” Hermione hissed, her hands still covering her eyes.

“Well turn around. I don’t want your mudblood filth eyeing my body.” Draco spat. Hermione forced a laugh.

“Mudblood filth? Whatever...” she said as she turned around. She tried to shake it off but she couldn’t. She was hurt by Draco’s rude remark. Sure, she knew she was a pureblood, but for him to assume his nasty attitude for her after last night shocked Hermione. What happed to the caring, sensitive Draco she fell for last night? She let a tear fall as she heard Draco say,

“Have at it mudblood. Bathroom’s all yours,” as he slammed the door shut.

Maybe he hasn’t changed after all... Hermione thought as she cried.

Hermione let it all out while in the shower. She sobbed as the hot water hit her body. There were too many thoughts for her to focus on. Why did she cut? Why did she fall for Malfoy? Why was she unhappy? Why did her real parents not want her? Why did she feel the urge to snog Draco senseless? Why did he kiss her last night? She sighed as she got out of the shower and wrapped a large, fluffy red towel around her body. She admired the bathroom.

It was about half the size of her bedroom. From her position outside of the shower to her right was a toilet room. To her left was an enormously large bathtub. You could even call it a mini pool. It was about 10 by 10 feet and about 5 and a half feet deep. Definitely larger than necessary. She made her way across the large bathroom. In front of her were marble sings, two of them. The one on the right was hers; all the knobs were gold with rubies encrusted in them. The other was silver with emeralds. She opened the drawer where all her make-up, earrings and other necessities were neatly put away.

She walked into her bathroom to get dressed. Today, she decided on a simple black tank top and a pleated denim skirt. She then walked back into the bathroom. To her utmost surprise, Malfoy was in there, brushing his teeth. She paid no attention him. She took out her wand and pointed it to her hair.

“Drieniero.” Hermione said as her hair dried. She thought about how she wanted to wear her hair. After thinking a good few minutes she finally decided.

“Bunitiliana.” Draco watched as Hermione’s hair was swept into a messy bun atop her head. His eyes scanned her body. Hermione noticed him and turned around.

“Why in Merlin’s name are you staring at me Malfoy? The last time I checked, you don’t call someone a mudblood, then, proceed to stare at their ‘filth’” Hermione said hotly as she walked into her room. Draco felt the urge to follow her, so he did. He looked around her room.

“Nice room mudblood.” Draco said. Hermione was at her vanity, putting some blush on when she quickly turned around.

“What the hell are you doing in my room ferret!?” Hermione shouted angrily.

“Whatever I want.” Draco smirked as he threw himself on her couch.

“Fine. Have it your way.” Hermione said, giving Draco a smirk that could match his own.

“What in Merlin’s Name is that supposed to mean mudblood?” He asked. Hermione didn’t respond. She was too busy reading a letter that she found open in Draco’s room.

Associating with mudbloods, are we? Not a wise decision son. Stay away from that Granger girl. We don’t want her in the way. If she bothers you, let me know and I will personally see to it that she is properly disposed of. Do well in school.

Is this why he’s being such a prick?
Hermione thought.

“What the bloody hell do you think you’re doing mudblood? Do you invade people’s privacy often!?” Draco spat, snatching the letter from Hermione’s hands.

“Draco, you think you have everything figured out don’t you?” Hermione asked in an amused tone.

“What the fuck do you mean mudblood?” he asked rudely.

“What I mean, ferret, is that we need to talk.” Hermione said seriously as she walked into the Common Room.

A/N: I know! I edited it! This is really chapters 6 and 7. I decided to combine them to make them longer. So tell me what you think please! Also, I wanna thank Di for reviewing all my stories so far! You rock Di! So see you next chapter everyone! Remember to R/R!!

Chapter 7: Explanations
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Hermione sat on the black chair with the Gryffindor emblem. A very angry Draco sat across from her on the identical Slytherin chair. His soft blonde hair fell over his blue eyes. It had been quiet for about five minutes. The silence was unbearable. All that could be heard was Crookshanks, who happened to be on Hermione’s lap.

“Well? Are you going to sit here all day Granger, or are you going to tell me why you requested me in your mudblood presence?” Draco’s words echoed through the silence. “ I do have better things to do you know.” he spat, getting extremely impatient.

“I’m...a...blood...” Hermione mumbled quietly.

“What Granger? I didn’t understand your mudblood talk.” Draco sneered.

“Imnotamudblood.” Hermione mumbled a bit louder, running her words together. She had never been so unconfident in her life.

“Speak the hell up Granger! I can’t understand your damn mumbling!” Draco said angrily.

“I’M NOT A FUCKING MUDBLOOD!” Hermione screamed.

“What? You‘re joking, right?” Draco said softly. His mouth was hanging open and his eyes were wide. “Explain.” He demanded. Hermione rolled her eyes and scoffed at him.

“Fine.” She spat. “It started this summer. My “parents” told me they needed to talk to me. They said that I was adopted. I own a mansion and I have a large sum of money locked up in Gringott's. My parents were Jordan and Rachael Turner, purebloods. So, that makes me a purebl...”

“Wait! Jordan and Rachael Turner?! As in THE Jordan and Rachael Turner?!” Draco asked incredulously.

“I guess so. Draco, what the hell do you mean by ‘the’?” Hermione asked. She was very confused.

“It’s just... they were the most powerful, wealthy pureblood family in the Wizarding World. There is no way that you, Hermione “mudblood” Granger, could be their daughter.” Draco smirked evilly.

“Well, why the hell not Malfoy? And it‘s TURNER.” Hermione retorted.

“Well...because....Jordan and Rachael Turner were killed almost 16 years ago Hermione. They died on July 17, 1990” Draco explained.

“Draco, I was born on September 17, 1989. That's a little less than a year before they...died. So, how did it happen?” she asked him with a tear running down her cheek.

“Voldemort killed them. When he found out that they were betraying them, he Avada Kedarva’d them quicker than you can say quidditch.” Draco said bluntly. “Nobody knew that they had a daughter. They probably put you into hiding so that you wouldn‘t be harmed.” Draco said to her. For some reason or another, Draco believed Hermione.

“So, I guess I have to stop calling you Granger and Mudblood then, right Tur...Hermione?” Draco said cautiously. Hermione just stared at him.

“Yes. Wait, did you just call me Hermione?” she asked.

“Well, yeah. It’s your name isn’t it?” Draco smirked.

“Yea, but you could have called me Turner. But never mind. I need some time to think, so I’m gonna go now Malf...Draco.” Hermione said managing a weak smile before she left the common room.

Author’s Notes: Hey everyone. I’m back. Sorry I left you all without an update for so long! I was away on Spring Break. Then, I came back, having completed chapters 7-10, and I typed them all up. I submitted this chapter, but it was too short. Now, it barely makes the requirements. Sorry for the super short chapter though. I just kind of needed something to break the ice between Draco and Hermione. I hope you all enjoyed the chapter so please R/R, and I hope you look forward to chapters 8, 9 and 10, which are coming soon! Also, I wanna thank my most awesome reader, Sly. She rocks so hard! She's reviewed like, every chapter! So, thanks Sly!

Chapter 8: Tender Loving Care
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Draco paced back and forth in the Common Room. What were these new feelings he was feeling for Hermione? Was he starting to actually care for her? He supposed he never hated HER, just her heritage. He was born and raised to hate and be superior to mudbloods like Granger. He was lead to believe purebloods were everything! That’s probably why he hated Granger. Or, at least, that’s what he was told...

I was born to hate mudbloods, like Granger. But, Granger’s not Granger. Granger is Turner. Turner is pureblood. So, is it OK to start accepting my feelings towards Hermione? Draco thought.

Hermione sat on a rock under the large tree by the lake. Her knees were pulled to her chest and her head was in her arms. Her tears flowed freely now, wanting to break free for so long. Hermione had reached an all time low. Her parents were dead. She had no family. Nowhere to live. Nobody to love and nobody to love her. Her friends were distant, and Hermione was alone. She had nothing and nobody. She was starting to get a headache from all her crying. She stood up to go back to the castle. Hermione’s legs turned to Jell-O and the world around her was engulfed by darkness as she fell to the hard ground.

After sending an owl to his father, Draco decided to go find, and talk to, Hermione. He descended the stairs from his room to the common room, only to find it empty. Hermione wasn’t back yet. It had been almost two hours since Draco had seen her last. Something wasn’t right. He looked at the pictures about the mantle. Portrait Draco was having a nervous breakdown, while Portrait Hermione was sleeping. Draco let out a sigh of relief.

“Good. She’s getting some rest.” Draco said to himself. He headed towards Hermione’s room. The door was open, so he decided to walk in. Draco thought he would find Hermione, but the bed was made, untouched by the sleeping form of the woman he had hoped to see. Draco raced out of her room and back into the common room.

Think Draco! If you were Hermione, where would you be?! he thought frantically. He paced for a while then stopped.

“The Lake!” He shouted. “But wait... it’s raining. Why would Hermio...” Draco grabbed his coat and raced out of the Head Common Room. Pushing past students and teachers, he ran to the entrance of the castle. Draco pushed to doors open and ran outside. The cold rain plastered his platinum blonde hair to his pale forehead.

“Hermione!?” He shouted as he ran to the lake. When Draco was about twenty yards away from the edge of the waters, his strides became longer as he ran faster, his arms pumping at his sides. He came to a stop and threw himself on the ground. He carefully cradled Hermione’s wet, unconscious body in his arms.

“Hermione? Hermione wake up. Merlin wake up!” He said frantically as he gently shook her body.

“Draco?” Hermione whispered.

“Shh. Yes, it’s me. I’m taking you inside before you freeze.” He said lifting himself off the ground, as well as Hermione’s small body. He quickly made his way up to the castle with Hermione pulled close to his chest. He softly whispered the password to the common room and hurried inside, all the while avoiding the concerned and skeptical glances of their fellow students.

When inside, Draco carried Hermione up the stairs. Since Draco could not remember the password to her room, he took Hermione up to his room. Draco gently set her on his bed. He walked into his closet, and came out with a large t-shirt and some flannel pajama bottoms. Draco walked over to the bed, and sat them down next to Hermione. As he was nearing the door, he heard Hermione’s soft voice.

“Would you mind helping me Draco? Please?” She said as she furiously blushed. Draco turned around and gave her a caring smiled before walking over to the side of the bed.

“Arms up.” Draco quietly commanded. Hermione lifted her arms above her head. With trembling hands, Draco slowly peeled off her damp t-shirt, exposing her flat abs. He quickly slipped the oversized t-shirt over Hermione’s head. She smiled at the fact that Draco was a gentleman, and decent, and didn’t gape at her chest like others may have. The touch of Draco’s calloused hands upon her stomach made her blush. He slowly unbuttoned her pants as he slid them off Hermione’s long, skinny legs. Hermione looked up, and the ice blue eyes of Draco met her chocolate brown eyes. They never broke their eye contact, and Hermione had the pajama pants on no sooner than her wet ones had come off. Draco got up off the bed, and sat by the fireplace in him bedroom. It was a Saturday afternoon, so there were no classes. He had just started a book when Hermione spoke.

“Erm... Draco?” She asked shakily. He looked up from his book.

“Yes?” Hermione started crying. Draco stood up and walked over to the edge of the bed, sitting next to Hermione.

“What’s wrong?” He whispered.

Hermione sobbed, “Everything is falling apart!”

“Hermione...” Draco started. He looked down and saw Hermione’s smalls arms wrapped around him.

“Can you just hold me?” She whispered. Draco sighed as her wrapped his strong, protective arms around Hermione’s small body. Soon, her sobs stopped and the Head Boy and Girl fell asleep in each other’s arms.

Authors Note: Hey everyone! I really really really hope that this chapter makes up for the super short Chapter 7! So, the spark between Draco and Hermione is getting brighter! I hope you liked this chapter! Please R/R!

Chapter 9: Romantic Dinner for Two
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Draco slowly opened his eyes at the sound of the Grandfather Clock in the common room chiming five. He looked down and saw Hermione in his arms, fast asleep. It was then that the truth his Draco, hard.

He loved Hermione.

There was no denying it now. He loved everything about her. They way her hair fell around her face. They way she laughed, smiled and talked. He could go on forever on what he loved about Hermione, and as he stared at the sleeping angel in his arms, he realized that no words could describe his feelings for her.

Draco gently placed a kiss on Hermione forehead as he got out of the bed. He quickly walked into the bathroom, fixed his hair and walked down the stairs into the common room. Dinner had just started. He didn’t want to wake Hermione, so Draco walked down to the kitchens. He could have gone to the Great Hall, but Draco had something else in mind.

When Draco reached the kitchens, he tickled the pear as the portrait swung open. Draco walked in as the aroma of spices and foods encircled him, making his mouth water. Winky ran up to him.

“Hello Mr. Head Boy Sir! Can Winky get you anything? Winky is here to serve!” Winky said in her squeaky voice as the small hat she was wearing fell over her eyes. Draco chuckled and knelt down as he raised the hat back upon her head.

“Yes, Winky. There is something I need. I need a nice dinner for two delivered to the Head’s Common Room as soon as possible.” Draco replied.

“Of course Sir! Winky will do that right away!” Winky responded, saluting Draco before running off into the kitchens. Draco smiled and walked out of the kitchens, leaving the house elves to their work.

As he was walking through the halls, Draco bumped into someone. He looked up and smirked.

“Well! If it isn’t St. Potter and the Weasles! What do you want?” Draco spat at them.

“What have you done to Hermione, ferret face?” Ginny demanded.

“Jesus Weaslette. What would I have done to her?” Draco smirked. Ron stepped forward.

“Let’s see. Hurt her, hexed her, I could go on until I was as old as Dumbledo...”

“The point is Malfoy,” Harry interrupted. “We haven’t seen her since dinner last night and we want to know what you did to her.” he said. Draco laughed.

“I haven’t done shit to Hermoine. Now, if you lot wouldn’t mind, I have more important matters to attend to than stand here with you.” Draco said pushing past them. Harry, Ginny and Ron’s mouth’s were hanging open.

“Did... did he just call her Hermione?” Ron stuttered.

“Uh huh....” Harry and Ginny said surprised.

Draco quietly entered the common room. Hermione was still asleep from what he could tell. With a flick of his wand, the common room was transformed. He hurriedly shoved his wand back into his pockets, for he heard the shuffling of feet above him.

Hermione stood at the top of the stairs in awe with her eyes wide. The common room was so... so... romantic! All the chairs and couches were gone. Next to the fireplace was a table set for two with a boquet of red roses in the center. There was a small dance floor and slow muggle music was playing softly. The fire was flickering, along with the tiny flames of about 100 candles. At the bottom of the stairs, Draco stood smiling, holding a white rose in his hand. Hermione slowly walked down the stairs.

This is a fairytale. No. A dream. That’s it! It’s a dream! This is just a gigantic dream. This isn’t real. I’ll wake up and this will all dissappear. Hermione told herself as she blinked a few times. Nothing happened.

Ok. Not a dream. This is real. Hermione thought.

“Draco? What’s going on? What is all of this?” Hermione asked him confused.

“A gift from me to you. It’s an apology for the way I’ve treated you for the past six years.” Draco said while handing her the rose and extending his arm to her. Hermione took the rose as Draco led her to the table. He proceeded to pull out her chair for her before he took his own seat.

“Draco... this is all too much! It’s so romantic! And look at me!” Hermione said breathlessly as she looked at her clothes. She was still wearing Draco’s shirt and pajama pants.

“Nonsense. Besides, you’re beautiful.” he said as Hermione blushed furiously.

“Now. Let’s eat. We can talk after we eat our meals.” Draco said as the meal Winky prepared for them appeared on their plates. It was a lovely dinner of filet mignon, mashed potatoes, gravy, summer corn and a raspberry tea.

“Draco! This all looks so wonderful!” Hermione exclaimed as she took a bite of her mashed potatoes. She was starving. She hadn’t eaten a thing in about two days, so Draco could just imagine her hunger. Within half an hour, Hermione and Draco had finished their meals. It was quiet. Neither of them spoke. The only thing that could be heard was the sound of “Un-Break My Heart” by the muggle singer, Toni Braxton. Hermione looked up at Draco and cleared her throat.

“Erm... Draco?” she asked.

“Thank you. For...for everything.” Hermione said quickly.

“Don’t mention it.” he smiled.

“But really. You have been the best friend someone could ever ask for in the past two days. I really, really appreciate it.” Hermione said placing her hand upon Draco’s. Once she realized what she had done, she quickly removed her hand and sipped at her tea. Hermione was startled when Draco took her free hand in his own. She looked into his eyes. They were full of seriousness.

“Hermione, I...I think...I think I love you.” whispered Draco.

Author's Note: So? What did you all think? I personally like the next two chapters... but please R/R!

Chapter 10: Feelings
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Hermione nearly choked on her tea. She couldn’t, she wouldn’t believe her ears. Did Draco Malfoy, the boy who made her life a living hell for six years, the Slytherin Sex-God, the biggest prat in school, just confess that he had feelings for her?

“I’m sorry. Could you please repeat that Draco? I think I heard you incorrectly. I thought you said you had… feelings for me.” Hermione stumbled over her words. A look of hurt, and, embarrassment came across Draco’s face.

“I…erm… I said I think I love you.” Draco mumbled. His face was starting to turn red. Hermione stayed silent.

Wow. Draco Malfoy likes me. But do I like him? Hermione thought. She stared at Draco’s hand, which was still held her own, then, into his eyes. Oh, his blue eyes. She could get lost in the depths of his eyes and find her way into his soul. She felt him move his hand off hers, and heard him start to get up.

Of course I like him! Do something! Quick! Her mind screamed. Hermione grabbed Draco’s hand. He stared down at her, and smiled when she smiled back at him.

“Would you care to dance?” Draco asked her as he extended his arm.

“I’d love to.” Hermione smiled as she stood. Draco led her to the small dance floor. He placed his hands on the small of her back as Hermione wrapped her arms around his neck and placed her head on his chest. They slowly started swaying to the music, one of Hermione’s favorite songs.

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
And emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky
Never revealing their depth

And Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above.

Draco twirled Hermione and brought her back in. He wrapped his arms around her once again.

She can dance well… he thought.

And I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love's suicide
And I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

And rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
And you're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive and not dead.

Hermione smiled as she danced with Draco. She didn’t know why, but it just felt so right being in his arms. She knew Draco was the enemy, and falling for him was wrong, but everything was so, so right. Plus, the keyword was was. Draco was the enemy, but now, Hermione had no clue what he was, or what she wanted him to be.

And tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

And I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love's suicide
And I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

And I dropped out, I burned up, I fought my way back from the dead
I tuned in, I turned on, remembered the thing that you said...

The song was almost over, and neither of the two wanted it to end. They both looked straight into each other’s eyes.

And I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love's suicide
And I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

Draco slowly bent his head down and kissed Hermione. It was nothing like the first kiss they had shared. This kiss was full of love and passion. Draco pulled Hermione closer to him, so there wasn’t any part of them that wasn’t touching. Both Draco and Hermione’s heart started beating faster as the butterflies in their stomachs’ increased.

I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love's suicide
And I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

Draco slowly parted his lips and let his tongue trace over Hermione’s bottom lip. She too slowly opened her mouth, as Draco’s tongue played with her own.

The greatest fan of your life…

Both of the teens were so caught up in each other that they hadn’t noticed that the song had ended. Draco finally pulled away.

“You’re a pretty good kisser Turner.” He smirked.

“You’re not so bad yourself Malfoy.” Hermione smiled. Draco places his lips upon her own once again and picked her up. Hermione wrapped her small legs around Draco’s waist as he carried her to his room, his lips never leaving hers. He lay back on his bed with Hermione on top of him. His fingers traced small circles on her back as she played with his hair. After a good ten minutes of kissing, Hermione rolled over and placed her head on Draco’s chest. She was able to hear his heart, which was beating rapidly. Draco twirled his fingers into Hermione’s hair as she started to fall asleep.

“Draco?” Hermione quietly mumbled.

“Mmhmm?” he mumbled.

“I love you.” She whispered. He paused and smiled.

“I love you too Hermione.” Draco whispered back. He placed a kiss on Hermione’s forehead as they fell asleep in each other’s arms for the second time that day.
Author's Note: So sorry I kept you all waiting for so long! I hope you can understand! Well, I really hope you all enjoy this chapter, as much as I enjoyed writing it! I know after this, some of you will be begging for Chapter 11 of Changed, but you are gonna have to wait a while for it. I was suspended from school and am technically banned from the computer, so I have to do a lot of wagering to get internet time. But, I promise that I will have Chapter 11 up ASAP. Just for you all, here is a teaser of Chapter 11 - Hogsmeade Weekend, of Changed. ;)
Chapter 11 - Hogsmeade Weekend

Hermione sat up, rubbing the sleep from her chocolate brown eyes. The sun was shining through her green...wait. Green?

Since when did I have green curtains? she thought. Looking to her right, she saw Draco.

Since when did I sleep with Draco? thought Hermione. She searched her brain and smiled when she remembered last night. She looked around. Clothes were scattered around the floor, including Draco's shirt, and Hermione's shirt and pants.

Wait... we didn't... Hermione trailed off when she saw the clothes. She looked down and notced that Draco was wearing black athletic pants and her, a large t-shirt and flannel pajama bottoms.

Well duh 'Mione. Most guys don't sleep in shirts! But these aren't your clo...oh yeah... Hermione blushed as she remembered yesterday afternoon. Draco had helped her change after she had passed out. Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. She placed a light kiss on Draco's chest and went to get up. A strong arm pulled her down as she giggled...

Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. She placed a light kiss on Draco's chest and went to get up. A strong arm pulled her down as she giggled.

"Think you’re getting away easy huh?" Draco asked gruffly.

"Yes. I need to go shower and get ready for my day." Hermione smiled at him.

"No you don’t. It’s too early anyways." Draco said, placing butterfly kisses on Hermione’s back, making her laugh.

"Draco! That tickles! Stop! I really have to go shower and get dre…" Hermione was cut off by Draco’s lips upon her own. He slid his tongue into Hermione’s mouth with ease, and rolled her atop his chest. Draco ran his hands up and down her back as she felt Draco’s toned chest. Hermione massaged Draco’s tongue with her own, resulting in Draco holding her tighter. Hermione moved her lips from Draco’s and kissed where the neck and shoulder meet, where she gently bit down. Draco took a sharp intake of breath.

Weak spot? Hermione thought as she lifted her head. Her and Draco stared into each other’s eyes for a while, before Draco put his hand behind Hermione’s neck and hungrily assaulted her lips once again.

Merlin, I love this girl so much. Draco thought as he kissed Hermione. When she massaged his tongue again, a small moan escaped the back of Draco’s throat. Hermione smiled against his lips and sat up. She was straddling his abs and Draco’s arms were around her waist. They were both smiling at each other.

"As much as I would love to do that again," Hermione said, jumping off Draco and the bed, "I really have to shower." She smiled and blew Draco a kiss as she ran into the bathroom.

About two and a half-hours later, Draco and Hermione were both showered. They had a small lunch with the aide of their small kitchen. The two were sitting on the couch in each other’s arms. Draco lightly kissed Hermione’s forehead.

"I never properly asked you, so, Hermione Turner, would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" Draco asked. Hermione smiled at him.

"I’ll have to thank about that one Mr. Malfoy." She smirked. Hermione hopped onto Draco’s lap so she was facing him. She wrapped an arm around his neck and kissed him, hard and passionately. A few minutes later, she pulled away.

"Of course." She remarked. Draco smiled and kissed her once again.

"What do you want to do today then?" he asked her.

"I don’t care. You pick." Hermione said, snuggling into his arms.

"Want to go to Hogsmeade then?" Draco suggested.

"Woot!! Shopping!" Hermione laughed as she hopped off the couch to get her coat. Draco got his coat as well and the two headed up the stairs. Hermione stopped and Draco bumped into her, knocking them both to the floor.

"Ouch!" they both said simultaneously.

"Sorry Hermione. Why did you stop?" Draco said as he helped her up and wrapped his arms around her.

"Look." Hermione whispered, pointing to the pictures on the wall. Some of the pictures had changed. One was changing before their very eyes. Three of Draco and Hermione’s baby pictures were gone, replaced. The new pictures were of Draco and Hermione eating last night. Another one was of them dancing. The newest one, which had just finished changing, was of the two sitting on the couch in each other’s arms, something that had just happened a moment ago.

"That is so neat…" Hermione said as Draco kissed her cheek and they left their common room.

Walking through the halls, Hermione and Draco kept their distance. Nobody could know of them. Draco was ahead of Hermione by a few paces, when Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy stopped him.

"Hey Malfoy." Crabbe grunted.

"Goyle. Crabbe. Parkinson." Draco greeted curtly. He looked back at Hermione and motioned for her to wait for him outside. He watched as she nodded back and left the castle.

"Drakie-poo… where have you been? I’ve missed you…" Pansy purred in her annoying voice as she rubbed Draco’s chest with her bony hand. Draco swatted it away.

"I’ve been doing whatever I please. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m headed to Hogsmeade." Draco snapped.

"Oh! I’ll come with you Drakie. We can have some alone time…" Pansy winked seductively at him.

"No." Draco said.

"Why not?" pouted Pansy.’

"Because I hate you." Draco said bluntly, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. He walked out of the castle with the Slytherins glaring at him. He met Hermione by the lake.

"Sorry about that love, the baboons wouldn’t shut up." Draco apologized.

"It’s fine. Let’s go." Hermione replied as she took Draco’s hand and the two walked up the dirt path to the village.

When they reached Hogsmeade, they both had things to buy. Draco and Hermione decided to split up and meet back at the Three Broomsticks at 1:30. That gave them each one-hour. They shared a quick kiss and walked their separate ways.

When Draco saw Hermione walk into the bookstore, he walked into the jewelry store across from it. He looked around at all the assorted gems. Draco really wanted to find something special for Hermione.

“Can I help you?” a voice asked. Draco turned around and saw a kind woman staring intently at him.

“Umm... sure. I’m looking for something for my girlfriend.” Draco said to the lady. She peered at him over her glasses.

“I see. Well, what is the lucky lady like?” the woman asked. “My name is Gisele by the way.” she said.

“I’m Draco.” Draco said, not paying attention. He was too busy thinking about Hermione. Smiling, he opened his mouth to speak.

“Well, ‘Mi is funny, caring, smart and talented. Not to mention beautiful, compassionate, sexy, drop dead gorgeous. Basically, my entire life as of now.” Draco rambled.

“Ah. Sounds like you care about this ‘Mi a lot.” Gisele said as she made her way into the back room.

“I do...” Draco alleged as he watched curiously. The woman came back holding a small black box.

“What is that?” he asked.

“It’s perfect.” Gisele reflected as she opened the box. Inside was a ring. It had a simple white gold band that met at a diamond. As Draco looked closer, it seemed as if there was a small ruby heart in the middle.

“Is that a...” Draco started.

“Ruby heart? Yes it is.” Gisele finished. “I designed the ring myself.” she beamed.

“It’s beautiful.” Draco whispered.

“It’s yours.” Gisele smiled at him.

“Wow. Thank you.” Draco said as he reached into his pockets for his money. Gisele put a hand on his shoulder.

“It’s a gift, Draco. If this girl is truly as wonderful as you say, she deserves nothing less than this.” Gisele explained to him. Draco smiled at her.

“I’m sure Hermione will love it. Thank you so much, Gisele.” Draco said sincerely as she put the box inside his cloak pocket.

“Go get her tiger.” Gisele smiled as she shooed Draco out of her shop.

Outside of the shop, Draco was sitting on a bench, looking at the ring when he heard Hermione calling him.

“Draco! Hey. What did you get?” Hermione asked him, slightly out of breath. Her arms were full of books.

“Something for you.” Draco smirked.

“Oh really?” Hermione laughed.

“Really really.” Draco said as he pulled Hermione close to him. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the black box Gisele had given him and looked into Hermione’s eyes.

“Hermione Turner. I know that we haven’t gotten along for the past six years of our lives. But now that I’ve gotten to actually know you, you are the most amazing woman I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. You’ve taught me in the past few days that it’s OK to be myself. I never thought it could actually happen, but I love you with all my heart.” Draco said as he opened the box. Hermione gasped.

“Draco! Oh my God!” she whispered as Draco slipped the ring on her left index finger.

“Oh my... is that a heart?!” Hermione gasped once again.

“Do you like it?” Draco asked her as he held her hands in his own.

“Are you kidding me? I love it!” Hermione exclaimed as she gave Draco a bone-crushing hug.

“Thank you so much.” she whispered into his ear.

“Anything for you ‘Mi.” Draco said as he kissed her forehead. He wrapped an arm around her waist and the two walked back down the dirt path and back to the entrance of the school.
Author's Note: Hey everyone! I just want to apologize for the long wait between the updates! I was suspended from school, so I was banned from the PC for a while. Then, I got distracted with a new forum and website I'm making, then I went to summer camp. And I just came back 2 days ago, so I really hope you all liked chapter 11! Its the longest one I've written yet, so I hope you enjoyed yourselves! Well, that's it! And please R/R!

Edit from LJ on August 20, 2005: Readers,
I am sorry to say that this chapter is the last that will be coming out of Changed. School is becoming much too hectic and softball is taking over my life. I can't possibly update my stories, keep up with my homework, excel in softball and have time to do normal things. Thanks to all of my loyal readers and reviewers, especially: KimMalfoy, slyswn180, Krystinar3, redheadwizard, Vegas Chick and so many more of you. Your reviews always made me smile, and I hope to see more reviews from you in the future. Happy Writings everyone!
