Chapter 1: Chapter One: The Letters (From No One...?)
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

"Rosalind, wake up! Breakfast is ready!" Said someone, shaking my shoulder.

"What? Already?" I was confused. . I never sleep in this late!

"Yes," Replied the same person, who I was now awake enough to realize was my Mother, "And I'm going to need you to get ready because I'm meeting with Molly today!" She called to me as she was heading downstairs.

Great! The Weasleys! I thought. I really am excited. You see, my Mom and Mrs. Weasley became friends many years ago.. I'm not really sure how. All I know is that they're wizards. We're not allowed to tell anybody, but I never would.. I actually thought it was pretty fascinating. After snapping out of my thoughts, I remembered the task at hand; what to wear? Usually on a day like this, I'd wear a t-shirt and leggings, but seeing as I had things to do, I couldn't show up to my friend's house looking like a lazy heathen (though I usually do).. After a while I decided on a short sleeved black top with white stripes on it, and a pair of jean shorts, along with my favorite grey bracelet. All my shoes were downstairs, I decided to worry about those later; right now, was all about eating. (I'm hungry, what can I say?)

As usual, we were talking, and joking, and other things you do at tables, when suddenly, the doorbell sounded. Everyone looked at each other, all of us with the same look; when nobody said anything, Mum spoke up. "Eleanor, would you be a dear and see who's at the door?" ( In case you didn't know, Eleanor is my twin sister.) As she opened the door, she looked out, and then looked back at me and Mum. "No one's here," she said. "There is two letters, though!" She grabbed them before heading back to the table. " Well? " asked Mum. "There's one for each of us," she said, gesturing back and forth between herself and I.  "But.. They aren't from anyone. There's no send or return address!''

"Well then, let's open the suckers!" I said, intrigued.

"If you insist ... " she said, as she hesitantly started opening her letter. I started doing the same. Once we were done, we just stared at each other. "Wh- there MUST'VE been a mistake.. I- we- MAGIC?!" Yelled Eleanor. "YES!!!!!!" I yelled, much louder. " WE'RE GOING TO HOGWARTS!''

Chapter 2: Chapter Two: Going to the Weasley's!
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

"Mum, how long until we leave??" I asked, for about the hundredth time. "I TOLD you, one hour! Now stop asking, because next time, I'm not going to remind you. You better work on sharpening that mind of yours, because otherwise, I don't know HOW you're going to remember your lessons." She retorted.

I didnt know what to say, because you know I'm not about to admit she was right. I'm not the brightest when it comes to remembering things.. maybe they have a spell for that! I walked to my sister's room. "Eleanor? Are you going to come with Mum and I to the Weasley's?"

"Sure!" Eleanor replied.

"Ok, cool." I said as I walked out.

"Eleanor! Rosalind! Time to go!" Mum yelled up the stairs.

"Coming!" Me and Eleanor yelled at the same time.

As I ran down the stairs to put on my boots, I remembered something; "Mum, how are we traveling?" I said.

"By floo," she replied. "Make sure to state very clearly where you need to go! I'll go first. Then you and Eleanor at the same time," me and Eleanor looked at eachother so as to make sure we both knew what to do. "Alright. The Burrow!" She enunciated, before spinning into the emerald green flames. I took a deep breath, then walked over to El, and grabbed her hand. "The Burrow!" We said in unison, disappearing into the same fiery green blaze.

I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw my sister and mother. We made it! My thoughts were interrupted as I heard a familiar voice.

"Adrian! Rosie! Eleanor! Oh, how good it is to see you all!" It was Mrs. Weasley. "Girls, you mustn't be strangers now! Go say hello" whispered Mum. Eleanor and I bashfully shuffled over to hug Mrs. Weasley. "I've missed you girls, Merlin, what am I talking about? Everyone has!" She said. She really was nice, just a little bit doughty at times, quite frankly. But don't get me wrong.. we love her! "Oh, I know. We are quite enjoyable company, aren't we?" I joked. "Twins, am I right, Adrian?" She laughed. "Indeed you are." Replied Mum. "Well, I know you're probably waiting to see everyone. They're in the garden, tending to the gnomes. They'll be quite surprised to see you," whispered Mrs. Weasley. "I didnt tell them you all were coming!" I gasped. "Eleanor. You know we've got to make a grand entrance!"

"Oh yes," She grinned evilly. "Indeed we do."

《A/N - I hope you all enjoyed this chapter... I already know what I'm doing with the next. In case you're wondering, not the next, but the one after that, they'll be going. Can't wait to write! ~kris 》

Chapter 3: Chapter Three: The News Spreads Round
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

I gasped. "Eleanor. You know we've got to make a grand entrance!"

"Oh yes," She grinned evilly. "Indeed we do."

As we (quietly!) made our way out to the garden, we agreed that we'd scream at the top of our lungs on the count of three. Genius, right? I gestured to Eleanor. (Three, Two, and...) AHHHHH!! We screamed at the top of our lungs. Everyone jumped. I know we're supposed to be quiet.. but I couldn't help it, I started laughing. Then, a few minutes later, I finally stopped, glad to be able to breath again. "You all practically jumped out of your skin there, eh?" I said, while high-fiving El. "I think we just out-pranked the pranksters!" She said! "Not for long!" said Fred.

"Can your brothers not take a loss? Ever?!" I whispered to Ron. "Nope. Trust me, I've tried to get back at them.. never works." He replied. "Hmm," I said. "I feel like I'm forgetting something. Oh yeah! Big news everyone!!!" I yelled. I looked at Eleanor, she nodded. "We're going to Hogwarts this year!" We hollered in unison. "What?" Yelled Fred, George and Ron. Ginny must be in the house, I thought. I've got to tell her, too! "Yes! We got our letters this morning!" I said. "Bloody hell! Thats amazing!" Said Ron. "Yes, but..." started George. "You've got to know the secrets," Fred finished this time. "Or else you won't survive! And you must be thinking: 'how am I going to learn?' " further voiced George. "And thats where we come in," said Fred, once again. "On one condition." Oh no, I thought. What could their dastardly plan be this time? "And what exactly is this one condition?" Said Eleanor. "The condition.. is that you advertise our products!" Said George. "What products?! Because I am most definitely not advertising some weird magic spray that brainwashes people into doing your... Fred-and-George crazy bidding!" I said, skeptically. My skepticism did not go unnoticed, however. "Oh, don't be daft, Rosie. Its just for our joke supplies!" Said Fred. "Ok.... deal. As long as we get discounts!" I negotiated. "I am not risking getting expelled for joke supplies. You go ahead Ross.." she said. "Ok.. I. Get a discount," I negotiated once more. "Okay!" The red headed twins said in unison.

Everyone started to head inside now, and suddenly I remembered I never told Ginny about Hogwarts!

"Mrs. Weasley, where can I find Ginny?" I asked. "Oh, she's just in her bedroom, dear." She replied. "Great, thank you!" I said, heading upstairs. Finally, I found Ginny's room. I knocked on the door. "Ginny?" I said. "Come in!" She responded politely. "Hello Ginny!" I greeted her. "Hi Ross!" She said. "I've got a secret," I whispered. She gasped. "A secret? What is it!" She nagged. "So you know how you are going to Hogwarts next year?"

"Well, this morning I got a letter from Hogwarts! I am going with Ron this year! So next year when you arrive, you'll have a friend!"

"Wow!" She said, amazed. "I know, it's really crazy! But I think I'd better be going back down now. Nice talking to you, Ginny." I said, starting down the stairs. "You as well!" She called after me. I kind of wished that she could come this year. She was always so sweet. But alas, my train of thoughts reached the station as I made it to the first floor, where my Mum, Eleanor, Mrs. Weasley, and Ron were. "Hey, Mum..." I muttered. She and Mrs. Weasley were talking about me and El. It seemed like she hadn't heard me. Oh well, I thought. "Can't stop determined mothers, can you?" I muttered as I walked over to the corner where Eleanor and Ron were. "Hey guys!" I said. "Hey Ross," Ron said. "Are you excited about Hogwarts?"

"Of course!" I responded. "I hope its fun."

"What House do you want to be in?" Asked Ron. "House? What's a Hogwarts House?"

Chapter 4: Chapter Four: Hogwarts, Here We Come!
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

"What House do you want to be in?" Asked Ron. "House? What's a Hogwarts House?"

"Oh.. I forgot you wouldn't. Well, there's four. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and.. Slytherin." he said with a slightly disgusted look. "Why so disgusted?" I asked. "Aren't they all friends?"

"Oh, no, no, no. They all compete in a competition each year with points. Whoever gets the most points gets the House Cup. Its a real treasure for a House to have." Said Ron. "Go on.." I answered. Me and Eleanor were both looking at him, listening hard. "I really want to be in Gryffindor, and I probably will; my whole family is. Gryffindor was founded by Godric Gryffindor. He valued bravery in people and those who are, usually get Sorted into it. Ravenclaw was founded by.. someone named Ravenclaw.. and they valued smarts. Hufflepuff valued loyalty and kindness. And then... Slytherin," he went on, with the same look on his face as before. "Was founded by Salazar Slytherin. He valued... ambition and cleverness... which he used to, and most, dont use for good. But like I said, most, not all." He finished. "I want to be in Ravenclaw!" Yelled Eleanor, as I just looked at the floor, thinking. What do I consider myself? I feel clever... but Ron said most Slytherins are bad... I am not bad! "Who all gets Sorted into Slytherin?" I whispered absent-mindedly. That, however, didnt go unnoticed. "What do you mean?" Said Eleanor. "I think I know," said Ron. "You guys don't know about the blood situation," he said. Mine and Eleanor's eyes shot open wide. "Blood?!" I said. "Blood type! Salazar Slytherin hated anyone whose blood wasn't pure- meaning born from two magical people," he continued. "There are purebloods, like I mentioned, Half-bloods, and Muggle-borns. Like you both, for example. It'd be super rare for anyone with no magical blood to get into Slytherin. Fred and George told me all of this their first year. I don't even know how I remember this!" He exclaimed. I started thinking again ... no. I thought. I'm not a Slytherin! In fact, I COULDN'T be! I was interrupted by my Mother before I could finish convincing myself what was and wasn't my House. Besides, I didnt even actually know! I also didn't even know how I would get Sorted... but anyways... "Eleanor, Rosalind!" Called Mum. "Don't call me Rosalind!" I yelled, furious. I couldnt count how many times I've said this exact sentence! She never listens! "Oh, fine. Ross." She called back once again. I grabbed Eleanor's hand and walked over to where Mum and Mrs. Weasley sat. "Yes?" El and I said in unison. "I'm afraid its time for us lot to go," said Mum. "The sun's started to set already!"

"Okay..." said Eleanor and I, in unison, once again. "Go tell everyone goodbye while Mrs. Weasley and I prepare the floo powder." I don't know if I mentioned this before, but Mrs. Weasley told my Mum about floo powder a few months ago. She's used it to come here ever since! Not that that matters... I have other things to worry about.

《A/N - I know every chapter I've written so far has been longer than the one before-- I can't really say why; I don't even know XD but this is gonna be a fairly long one. Of COURSE- longer than the last because obviously--! ~kris 》

We were a bit late, but we had just gotten to where Diagon Alley was (supposed) to be. I didnt see anything! Apparently, that didn't go unnoticed. I heard footsteps behind me, and turned to see- A GIANT!? But I didnt run away- It was quite fascinating, to be honest. This made me realize how lucky me and El were... out of any Muggle-born children: us! Before I could be continuously grateful, I heard a gruff voice speak. "Yeh need some help gettin' in teh Diagon Alley?" The giant asked. After a few seconds, no one answered, so I decided to step up. He seemed quite kind, really. "Yes, sir, that's very kind of you to ask." I piped up, in what I thought to be a confident voice. "Alrigh' then! Watch an' learn." He tapped the third brick up and second one across, three times. After that, the wall began to open up into a street of shops that were crowded with people.

《A/N - Im gonna leave it here so it doesn't get too long- writing more in the morning! Hope you've enjoyed this story so far! :) ~kris 》
