Chapter 1

Ron’s POV

I have many questions in my life. One being: Why Harry? The Boy Who Lived, The Chosen One, more importantly, my best friend. Why did Harry have to die? He had too much pain in his life, he went through too much, but WHY did he have to die? Why couldn’t he have lived? Voldemort died…and so did Harry. Couldn’t he have been rewarded by living? I just don’t understand. It could have been me, it could have been Hermione. That brings another question to mind: Hermione

Hermione, my best friend; the love of my life. I haven’t talked to her in 8 months. Ever since Harry died, we went our separate ways. We had something in our seventh year. We loved each other, I think. Then, when Harry died, she broke my heart. She said she didn’t want to get hurt. She said that she was going back to live with her parents and think about her life. I thought she was kidding at first, but when I looked into her beautiful brown eyes, I could tell it wasn’t a joke. I don’t understand, did I do something wrong? Does she even realize I would do anything for her? That I would lay down my life for her? I want to talk to her. I want to hold her. I want to kiss her. I want to be with her. I want her. That’s all I ask: I want my Hermione back.

I’m going to find a way to get her back. I have to get her back. I can’t live without her. I’m nothing without her. I know where she is: her parent’s house. I think she’s still there. Unless…no, she wouldn’t do that. Would she? She couldn’t have found another guy. She wouldn’t do that to me. I need to talk to her. I need to see her. I need to tell her that she’s my only one. And how miserable I’ve been these past 8 months. And how miserable I’ll be until I get her back.

I need paper, and a quill. And something to say. This is so much harder when I’m trying to put it in to words. What do I say?

No, that’s too…casual.

Dear Hermione,

Okay, got that down. What now? Think, Ron, THINK!

Dear Hermione,
I was just wondering, if we could get together sometime soon. Talk, you know. I mean, we haven’t talked in 8 months. What I’m trying to say is: I miss you, Hermione. Please write back. Please.
Love, Ron

I hope that sounds okay. Oh well, I’m sending it anyway. I can’t take it. I need to talk to Hermione.

Damn, where in the heck did Pig go. That bloody bird.

Got him. And there it goes. Bloody hell, there it goes. Damn, come back. Please. Come back!

Please come back to me, Hermione.

***Here’s the second chapter! I’ll probably be updating this story faster because this story is really easy to write. But, I’m not making any promises. Okay, go ahead; proceed. ***

Chapter 2

***Hermione’s POV***

Gosh, I miss him. He shouldn’t have died. I could have done something to save him. I don’t understand. It should have been Harry, Ron and, me forever, “The Golden Trio.” Oh gosh, that’s another thing. Ron

I do miss him. He probably hates me. How could I have been so selfish? He doesn’t understand how hard it was for me to leave him. I don’t even know why I did it. Why did I do it? How can I be “the brightest witch of my age” and the then be so stupid? He was the one. I loved him; no I still love him. I’ll always love him. I don’t care what he thinks of me. I can’t get him out of my head. Oh boy, I do wish I could see him again.

I could write him. Is that a good idea? What if he just sees my handwriting and throws it away? Will he give me a second chance? Well, why should he? He doesn’t have to, he shouldn’t. I was horrible to him.

Oh my gosh! What if he found another girl? Would he do that? Would he, just forget me like that? He did say he loved me. If he loved me, he wouldn’t just bounce back like that, would he? Oh come on! Its Ron! He’s so unpredictable.

What is that? Oh my gosh! It’s an owl. It cant be from Ginny, I just sent a letter, it’s to soon to get one back. Here it comes, almost here, it’s here. Oh my gosh, am I really seeing this? I can’t believe I’m seeing this. It’s a letter from, from…Ron.

He wants to see me! Ronald Weasley wants to see me! And…he misses me! I have to write back…now!

Paper and quill: check. What to say: no clue.

Dear Ron,
I was so happy to get your letter. I would absolutely love to meet up soon. I’ve missed you a lot too. Please write back when you get this so we can figure out some plans.
Love, Hermione

Ron and me are meeting up soon! This is absolutely great! More than great…fantastic, wonderful, amazing, everything!

I pray he comes back to me.

***Ron’s POV***

Oh wow. She really wants to meet up. I want to meet somewhere nice. I want to “rekindle” the flame that was once burning. If it’s possible. I know just the place to “take” her. Now, another letter to write.

Dear Hermione,
I know a place where we can meet. It’s a new restaurant in Hogsmeade. It’s called “The Gold Ring.” If the time is okay with you: 7:00, this Saturday night. Write back soon.
Love, Ron

Pig better get that letter there fast. I hope that’s okay. Saturday is only one day away. I don’t know if I’m ready for this. I really need to suck it up. I’m going to see Hermione again!

***Hermione’s POV***

Wow! Another letter from Ron! This is exciting!

Of course I’m free tomorrow, anything for Ron. I need to write him back right now!

Dear Ron,
Saturday is great for me! Well, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow night!
Love, Hermione

I don’t have much time. One day! What am I going to wear? How am I going to do my hair? Is he paying? Is this a date? Oh wow, I need to go get ready, now!

***Ron’s POV***

Yes! She’s coming. Perfect. Bloody hell, I have to go plan. Wait, is this a date? I wonder if she thinks this is a date. I guess we’ll see what happens.

Should I tell her that this restaurant is named after us? “The Golden Ring,” The Golden Trio. Is she going to figure it out? I hope not. One thing bad happens, and it could mess everything up. Tomorrow night could decide my future. Our future. It all goes down tomorrow. 7:00.

***Hope you guys liked this chapter. They’ll get longer soon. In the next chapter…their “date.” Read and Review***

Chapter 3: Chapter 3
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

***From now on, there’s probably not going to be a specific point of view. If there is, I’ll notify. ***

Chapter 3

***No Specific POV***

At 6:55 on Saturday evening, Ron stood outside a snow covered building, waiting. He looked down at his watch for the hundredth time. Being the inpatient person he is, he started to slowly pace. Then he stopped and looked down the road, hoping to see a busy head bobbing along soon.

“Didn’t think I was going to come, did you?” a cheerful, young and familiar voice said.

Ron spun around so fast; he almost fell over. The smile on his face was so big; people on the other side of the country could probably see it. “Hermione! Gosh it’s so great to see you!” Ron said. He bent down slightly for a hug, picking her up and spinning her around like he used to. Having Hermione in his arms again made him feel whole.

“It’s great to see you too!” her smile was just as big as his. “How are you?”

“Great! You?” Ron replied.

“Well, it’s getting colder and I’m getting hungry. We should go in,” Ron stated.

“After you,” Hermione smiled. ‘Gosh, it’s so great to see him. This could be my one chance to get him back. I can’t screw this up!’

Ron led her into the restaurant and then to a table. Hermione could tell he was nervous, she was nervous as well.

Once they had sat down in a booth (for two) a waiter came to order drinks. “Two butterbeers,” Ron said. Once the waiter had left, a silence came over the table.

“So…” Ron said. “How have you been?”

Hermione sat in silence for a few more minutes before answering. “I’ve been pretty good… No, that’s a lie. I’ve been a wreck these past 8 months. After Harry died, it was like something inside of me died. He was my best friend. It’s the most awful thing to see a loved one die,” Hermione explained. She was the look on Ron’s face, full of sadness. “But the hardest thing was not being around you. No matter how much we fight. No matter how much we say we hate each other, I missed you. Seeing my best friend die and not talking to the other, it was the hardest thing in my life. When I got your letter, I was the happiest I’d been in eight months. So now, I don’t know where I stand. I could be happy. I could not be happy. I guess it just depends,” Hermione finished in a voice that was hard to recognize.

Ron was speechless. What he had just heard, it broke his heart. By now, they had gone through a few drinks and some food. “Hey Hermione, do you wanna go to the other side of the restaurant. It’s a lounge. It will probably be a bit more comfortable.”

Ron got up and led Hermione to the lounge. It was decorated in everything from Quidditch, to Gryffindor colors. They sat on a love seat to continue talking.

“Well, I don’t really know what to say, honestly. Everything you just said, pretty much sums it up for me too. I missed you, Hermione.”

Hermione smiled at him. “Ron. What are we going to do?”

“What do you mean?” Ron questioned.

“I mean, what are we? Friends? What? I don’t know what we are. I don’t know what we should be. I mean, we haven’t talked in the last eight months. And the last thing we were…we were together,” Hermione said in a hushed tone.

Ron thought about this. Obviously, the thing he wanted was for him and Hermione to be together again. But was that what she wanted?

“I honestly don’t know, Hermione.”

They sat in a silence once more, each thinking of what to say. They both wanted the same thing, but didn’t know it.

“What should we do?” Ron finally asked. After he said it, he immediately felt dumb for asking.

“I don’t know, Ron. I really don’t know.”

Ron thought to himself and debated over what to say next. Why was it so awkward between them? It was never this awkward.

“Hermione, I’m feeling really uncomfortable,” Ron said.

Hermione giggled, “Okay, what do you want me to do about it?”

“I need to get out of these jeans, they’re too small,” Ron said smiling.

“Okay. Well I guess we’ll talk later,” Hermione said, getting up abruptly.

She turned around, expecting Ron to be standing up too. He was still sitting on the couch, staring up at her. She raised an eyebrow at him.

“Um…Hermione? Do you wanna got back to my flat for some coffee?” Ron said nervously.

Hermione pondered on this for a few seconds. “Sure,” she finally said.

“Great. Just let me pay and we’ll be on our way,” Ron said, standing up.

“Great,” Hermione said, as Ron paid. “So…where are you living now?”

“In a small flat, close to Diagon Ally. Harry and me were gonna share it,” Ron said quietly.

“So you live there all by yourself? Don’t you get lonely?” Hermione asked thoughtfully.

“Yes, very lonely. Especially at night when it’s dark and cold.”

Hermione felt sorry for him. He was lonely. So was she.

“So, do you still live at your parents house?” Ron asked.

“Yes. I was looking for a flat, but I couldn’t find one I wanted. So I just decided to stay at my parents a little while longer.”

“Oh. Where are you working?” Ron asked. There was so much they needed to tell each other. They had some major catching up to do.

“Ugh. Only the most horrible job ever. I’m a hostess and ‘busboy’ at a local, muggle restaurant.”

“Oh wow. Not any worse than mine,” Ron said.

“Well, what are you doing?” Hermione asked him.

“The same thing you are,” Ron said grinning.

Hermione grinned as well. “So…how are we going to get to your flat?” Hermione asked.

“Well, theres apparating. Then taking the subway. Or walking,” Ron said, leaving the options open.

“Hmm…I think taking the subway would be fun,” Hermione responded cheerfully.

“Great. I’ve come to rather enjoy the subway.”

Ron and Hermione walked side by side for a while before coming to the station. They bought their cheap tickets and got on. Hardly anyone was on, since it was fairly late at night.

“The rides not very long. Seems like no time and we’re there,” Ron explained. “Looks like it’s our stop now.”

Hermione followed Ron off the subway and onto the sidewalk towards his flat. “This seems like a nice part of town,” Hermione said.

“It is. And the flat was surprisingly cheap,” Ron said. “Here we are,” he added, fumbling with his keys. He unlocked the door and led Hermione in.

‘Just as I expected,’ Hermione thought to herself. “Nice place, Ron,” she said after surveying the place.

“Yeah. I don’t have much stuff, just in case you were wondering why it wasn’t messy,” Ron said, grinning ear to ear. “Make yourself at home,” he said, walking into the kitchen.

Hermione heard him preparing the coffee in the kitchen. She couldn’t imagine Ron living by himself, with no one to cook or clean up for him. She smiled to herself.

Soon, Ron came back into the den with two steamy mugs of coffee. “Here you are,” he said, handing a mug to her, “fixed just the way you like it. One cube of sugar and a little bit of cream.”

‘He remembered!’ Hermione thought to herself.

“I’m proud of you, Ron,” she said. “Living all by yourself. Better than I’m doing.”

Ron looked at her disappointed face. He knew that she had big plans for her life, but the just seemed so out of reach since Harry died. He wanted to change that. He wanted to be there for her, to help her achieve her dream.

“Thanks ‘Mione,” Ron said. Hermione liked being called ‘Mione,’ but only by Ron. “So, what else have you been doing?” he asked.

“Nothing. My life is boring,” Hermione said gloomily.

“Same here,” Ron said. ‘Gosh, I wanna kiss her again.’

After some more small talk, and a little catching up, a silence was brought upon them again. Ron suddenly got an idea.

“Hey, Hermione?” Ron asked, kind of excited. “Do you wanna watch a movie?”

“Ron…do you know what a movie even is?”

“Yep! And I have that DVD thing. I DO live in a muggle flat; I have muggle things. I figured it out all by myself. I have a pretty big collection or them so far.”

“Okay then. What do you wanna watch?”

“You pick.”

Hermione went over to the large shelf with all the movies on it. She slowly scanned over all the movies. Suddenly, a smile came over her face as she pulled a movie off the shelf. Ron looked at the cover and smiled…Finding Nemo. “It’s one of my favorites,” Hermione said. Ron just smiled to himself.

“Let me put it in,” Ron said. After he put the movie in, he went in the kitchen to make some popcorn. When he came back with it, Hermione was sitting on the couch, wrapped in a blanket. “Here you go,” Ron said, sitting the bowl on the coffee table in front of them.

“Hope you don’t mind,” Hermione said, gesturing towards the blanket draped around her, “I got cold.”

“Not at all.”

They watched the movie for a while. Hermione eventually leaned her head on Ron’s shoulder, making her much more comfortable. Ron couldn’t hold in a smile.

Hermione saw Ron smile, which made her smile. ‘Does this possibly mean what I think it means? That he could actually want me back?’ Hermione thought to herself.

After a few more minutes, Hermione sat up abruptly. “Ron!”

“What?” Ron said, wondering what she was doing.

“I’m a horrible person, I know, you must hate me. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I don’t know how I could of just left you. I am such a stupid, horrible, heartless person,” Hermione said, tears starting to run down her cheeks.

“No, Hermione. Don’t say that. You’re not a horrible person. We were all going through hard times,” Ron said soothingly. He pulled her into his arms and let her cry.

“I miss him, Ron. I miss him so much,” she sobbed.

“Me too, ‘Mione. Me too. It’s okay. I’m here,” Ron said.

Hermione sobbed on, while Ron just held on to her. ‘I don’t want to loose you again,’ he thought. He held her for what seemed like forever; or at least, he wished it would be. He didn’t know if he could let her go again. He wouldn’t let her go again. He stroked her hair and rubbed her back, trying to calm her down.

“I’m so sorry, Ron. I’m so sorry. So, so sorry,” she sobbed over and over.

Ron lifted Hermione’s head up gently from his shoulder, “Hermione, it’s okay. Don’t cry. Shh…it’s okay.” Ron looked at Hermione’s big brown eyes, filled with tears. It made his heart melt. He didn’t really know what do; he’d never seen Hermione like this. She was the one who usually had everything under control.

After holding Hermione for a while and calming her down, she stopped crying. “I’m sorry,” she said, “again,” she added, giggling a bit.

“It’s okay. We all have our moments.”

Hermione glanced at the clock hanging on the wall. It read 12:01. “I guess I should be heading home, it’s really late,” Hermione said, getting up.

“Okay,” Ron said, also getting up. He walked her to the door and helped her put her coat on. “Be careful, Hermione.”

“I will,” she said. “Ron, don’t let this be the last time I hear from you.”

“Trust me. It won’t.”

“Bye Ron,” she said, leaning in to give Ron a hug.

“Bye Hermione,” he said, hugging her back.

As he watched her walk away he thought to himself, ‘I can’t wait to see her again.’

Chapter 4

The next morning, Ron woke up thinking about one thing and one thing only: Hermione. ‘I need to write her. I need to tell her that I wanna see her again. She’s not escaping me. I’m not letting her go,’ he thought. The next thought in this mind: breakfast.

Hermione woke the next morning thinking about the one guy in her life that she truly loved, the one guy she hadn’t stopped thinking about for the past 8 months: Ron. ‘I should write him. I don’t want to come off to strong though. I’ll wait, no, yes. No, I don’t wanna wait,’ she thought. “Oh my gosh! I have to get to work!” she said out loud to herself, after glancing at the clock. She jumped out of bed and hurried to get herself ready.

“So glad I don’t have to work today,” Ron said out loud. Ron decided he would think up some way to surprise Hermione. He first, wrote to her parents.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Granger,
I know you haven’t heard from me in a while, but recently Hermione and I started talking again. I am planning a special ‘thing’ for her, and it would help me a lot if you could tell me where she worked and her hours for this week. Please keep this a secret too. I would really appreciate it. Thank you, Ron Weasley.

‘Lets hope this works,’ Ron thought to himself as he tied the letter onto Pig’s leg. After sending the letter, Ron went to make himself some breakfast.

Around mid-afternoon, Ron got a letter back from the Grangers.

Dear Ron,
It’s so nice to hear from you! Well, here’s the information you asked for. She works at a place called the ‘Midnight Grill.’ It’s a few blocks from our house. Her hours are from 11:00 am to about 6:00. She usually goes in around 10:30 and leaves around 6:30 though. Her break is usually around 2:00. Hope this works for you! Mrs. Granger

“Brilliant!” Ron said to himself. Ron looked at his watch, “Whoa! It’s almost 2:00 now! I need to get going!”

He got himself ready and departed for ‘The Midnight Grill.’ After walking, he decided to apparate, because he was running late and it would be quicker. So with a loud pop, he was gone.

When Ron got to the restaurant, he went inside. He didn’t see Hermione anywhere, so he asked the other hostess where she was. “She’s in the break room,” the hostess said, pointing to a door on the far side of the restaurant.

“Great, thanks,” Ron said, walking towards the door.

He looked in the little window and saw Hermione sitting at a table eating and reading a magazine. She was the only one in there. ‘She’s so beautiful,’ he thought. He quietly opened the door and snuck up behind her. He peered over he shoulder and looked at what she was eating, “Wow, that looks tasty,” he said loudly.

Hermione jumped at least a foot out of her chair, “Ron! You scared me! What are you doing here?”

“I told I’d talk to you soon. Didn’t I?” he replied, grinning.

“Yes,” she said, blushing. “That sill doesn’t really answer my question.”

“I am here,” he said, like a true gentlemen, “to extend an invitation to join me for dinner at my flat on Friday evening at 7:30.”

Hermione smiled, “of course.”

“Good,” Ron said. “Well, I best be going. Let you get back to…your break.”

“Bye Ron,” Hermione said,

“Good-bye, ‘Mione.”

Ron turned on his heel and strolled out of the room and then out of the restaurant with a smile spread over his whole face. ‘Yes!’ he thought. He headed back home. ‘Only four days,’ he thought.

The days until Friday went by fast. On Thursday, Ron went shopping at a local muggle store for food for the dinner he would be making Hermione.

Finally, Friday came. Ron was cleaning his apartment all day. ‘This has to be perfect. I have to win her back,’ he thought over and over in his head. Around 6:30, Ron headed to the kitchen to start making dinner. First off, he made a salad. He then made a big chocolate cake, with two layers. Then, he started the main course. He was making a dish that he had gotten quite good at. He had made it for himself a lot over the past 8 months. It was Hermione’s favorite: Chicken Parmesan. He made the noodles first, then the chicken. While everything was cooking, he was setting the table. Ron had got an assortment of drinks. They ranged from a fine wine to fire whiskey.

With about ten minutes till 7:30, Ron made sure everything was perfect. It was. Ron’s doorbell rang loudly and interrupted his thoughts. He raced to the door.

He opened it and saw Hermione standing there. She was wearing tight jeans and a V-neck sweater. She looked good. “Hey Hermione,” Ron said, taking her coat. “Well, dinners ready, so we can go ahead and sit down.”

Ron led he to the table and motioned her towards which chair was hers. “You can pour yourself something to drink, I’ll go get the first course,” Ron said.

Hermione was smiling as Ron left for the kitchen. ‘This is so sweet!’ she thought to herself. Moments later, Ron returned with two salad bowls.

“First course, salad,” Ron said, putting a bowl in front of Hermione.

“This looks good,” she said, smiling.

“Let’s hope it is,” Ron said, also smiling.

When their salads were finished, Ron took they’re bowls and brought out their plates of Chicken Parmesan.

When he sat the plate down in front of Hermione she said, “Oh Ron! This is my favorite!” She smiled even more.

‘I love it when she’s smiling,’ Ron thought. They enjoyed they’re main course, and then went on to the dessert of chocolate cake.

When all was finished, they leaned back in their chairs to relax. “That was wonderful, Ron. Who knew you were such a good cook,” Hermione said.

“Well, I can be surprising,” Ron smiled. “Shall we retire to the living room?” he added, much more like a true gentlemen.

Hermione giggled, “We shall.”

They went and sat on the couch in the den. “Well, music or TV? Your choice,” Ron said.

Ron got up and turned on the stereo to a general radio station that played a bit of everything. They sat in a comfortable silence, just listening to the music. A song came on that seemed to sum everything in their minds up.

Baby set me free
From this misery
I can't take this no more
Since you went away
Nothing's been the same
Don't know what I'm living for
Here I am
So alone

And there's nothing in the world I can do
Until you're back here baby
Miss you, want you, need you so
Until you're back here, baby
There's a feeling inside I want you to know
You are the one and I can't let you go

As they both listened to the words, the silence got a bit awkward. “Hermione?”

“Can I tell you something?”

Ron leaned in towards Hermione and kissed her. He didn’t care what happened after he let go, he just wanted to kiss her again. To his surprise, she kissed him back. He took another step and wrapped his arms around her waist, while she wrapped her arms around his neck. She started playing with his hair. ‘Finally,’ they both thought. By now, they were laying on the couch. When neither could breathe, they pulled away from each other. Ron looked down at Hermione’s face. “Hermione…” he said, but was cut off by Hermione kissing him. She started to unbutton his shirt, and he let her. Once his shirt was off, he pulled her delicate sweater off of her. Ron thought that the couch was not the place to do this, so he picked her up, still kissing her, and carried her into his bedroom. ‘Good thing I cleaned my room,’ he thought to himself.

Gently, he laid Hermione on his bed. He surveyed her; he could tell she wanted this. He undid the button on her jeans and pulled them off. She did the same to him. Now, it was just them, their bodies pressed against one another. Ron kissed Hermione’s lips and slowly trailed down her neck. Ron looked at Hermione; she was now in just her pink bra and underwear. ‘She’s beautiful,’ he thought, going in for another kiss. He made another trail of kisses, this time not stopping until he got to her bellybutton. She let a quiet moan escape her lips. Ron wrapped his hands around her back. He unfastened her bra and slowly pulled it off of her, and then he pulled the bottom half off. Hermione then pulled Ron’s boxers off. Now, it was just them; it was the moment that seemed like it would never come. But it came…all through the night.

In the morning, Hermione woke first. Ron’s arms were wrapped around her body. She turned to face him. She kissed his cheek, then his lips. She kissed him over and over, and then leaned her head in by his ear. Hermione nibbled on his ear and then spoke into it, “Morning sunshine.” Ron stirred and his eyes fluttered open. He saw Hermione and smiled, “Morning baby,” he said. He stretched his muscular arms, then pulled Hermione closer. He kissed her nose and smiled. It was a Saturday, so neither of them had to work.

Ron spent a few minutes thinking about what he was about to say next. “Hermione?” he asked.

“Um…Will you be my girlfriend? …Again.”

Hermione smiled, “Of course.” She pulled him into another kiss.

‘This is the beginning of a great day,’ Ron thought.

Chapter 5: Chapter 5
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

*Sorry it took me awhile to update. I'm really busy with school and other stuff!*

Chapter 5

Ron hopped out of bed, got dressed and went into the kitchen. Hermione just lay there, thinking about the future. 'What does this mean now? Are we going to live together or

what?' She, curious as to what Ron was doing, also lept out of bed, getting dressed and going into the kitchen.

She found Ron in full swing, cooking, what looked like, a big breakfast. Hermione walked over to him at the stove and put her arms around his muscular shoulders. "Whatcha

doin?" she asked in a sweet voice.

"Well, I am making breakfast," he turned around and put his arms around her waist, "for the most beautiful girl around."

Hermione smiled and kissed him on the cheek, then turned around and went into the living room. She plopped down on the small couch and turned on the television. She

turned to some cartoons and sat as she thought about Ron. Her thoughts were soon interrupted by Ron. "Hermione!"

"Yes, love?"

"Breakfast is ready," he said, walking into the living room wiping his hands with a dish towel, "where do you wanna eat?"

"Hmm...can we eat in here?"

"Of course we can." He disappeared back into the kitchen and left Hermione waiting.

He returned soon levitating a platter with plates of food and drinks.

"Wow Ron," Hermione said happily, "this is so great."

He sat down on the floor, with the coffee table in front of him and started eating. 'Still has that appetite,' Hermione thought to herself. She sat down next to him and began

eating as well. When she felt she could no longer eat any more, she leaned back then settled into Ron. He smiled and put his arm around her. They moved to the couch and

finished watching cartoons.

"Ron, what are we going to do?" she said, looking up at Ron.

"What do you mean, 'Mione?"

"I mean, with our relationship. What are we going to do? Do you see what I'm saying?"

"Yes. What do you want to do?"

"I think you know what I want to do. I love you, Ron. I just want to be with you."

"And you know I love you. Always have and always will. I only wanna be with you."

She smiled. Then she kissed him straight on the lips. Laying there for awhile, Ron spoke finally. "So, 'Mione. What would you like to do today? I mean its almost 11:00, we

should get a move on it."

"Hmm...I don't know. I don't really know what there is around here," she said quizically.

"Well, there's lots of stuff. But I think I know what we should do," he said, leaving Hermione wondering.

"And what is that?" she asked sweetly.

"You'll see. Come on, lets get ready," he said getting up.

He pulled her up and she followed him into the bedroom. "Ron, do you mind if I take a quick shower?"

"Not at all, towels are in the closet in the hall. Soap and everything is in the bathroom," he said smiling.

"Thanks," she said, walking over and giving him a quick kiss.

He heard the water running and finished getting ready, going into the living room to wait for Hermione. The water clicked off and he heard the bathroom door open. "Ron?"

she said. He turned around and saw her standing there in just her towel. "Y--Yes, love?" he said once again, seeing her.

"I don't have any clean clothes, I'm going to apparate back to my house and get some. Okay?"

"Okay. Hurry back," he said, and with a quick 'pop' she was gone.

He sat and waited for her to return. About 45 minutes later, she returned, looking beautiful as ever. "I'm back!" she announced.

"Great," he said, getting up. "Ready to go?"

"Yep," she said walking towards the door and putting on her coat. They bundled up and headed outside. Ron grabbed Hermione's hand, not feeling at all embarressed, like he

usually would. "Ron! Where are we going?"

"You'll see, my love."

He led her down the sidewalk until they came to a small park a few blocks away. They walked awhile until they came to a bench and sat down. "This is nice," Hermione said.

"What is?"

"This," she snuggled closer to Ron, "right here, in your arms."

He smiled and kissed the top of her head. Right then and there, he knew. She was the one. The only one for him.

**What a quick update! Proud of me? Hope you guys like this! This is an exciting chapter!**

Chapter 6

'Everything has to be perfect,' Ron thought to himself. It had been about a month after that day in the park and was nearing the end of March. Tonight was the night. The night he was going to propose to the love of his life, Hermione Jane Granger.

He had reserved the restaurant just for them. It was the location of their first date. He was there all day setting everything up. All the tables had been cleared out, except for one in the middle of the floor, just big enough for two people. There were vanilla (her favorite scent) candles everywhere and rose petals and vases full of roses all around the restaurant. A fire was warming up the small building. It was perfect, or at least he hoped.

Around fifteen minutes till 7, he headed to Hermione's to pick her up. He reached her parents house and knocked on the door. Her father answered, happy to see him. Only he, Mr. Granger, knew about Ron's plans this evening, Ron having asked him for permission to marry his daughter earlier in the month. "Hermione!" her father called. "Ron's here!"

"Okay! I'll be down in a minute!" she called back.

Downstairs, Ron and Mr. Granger waited in the den. "Nervous, Ron?"

"A little. I just don't wanna screw anything up," he answered quietly. He then heard quiet steps coming down the stairs.

"Good luck, Ron," Mr. Granger whispered.

Hermione appeared at the door of the den. She was wearing a knee length black skirt and a low-cut pink top with a light sweater. "You look beautiful, Hermione. As always."

She smiled sweetly and walked over to him, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. "Shall we be going?" she said.

"Yes. Good-bye, Mr. Granger. Nice to see you again."

"Bye kids," he said opening the door for them. Hermione stepped out first, then Ron. Mr. Granger gave Ron a small wink before closing the door.

"So, where are we going?" Hermione asked, taking hold of Ron's hand.

"You'll see," he said, smirking. He put his hand in his pocket and made sure the ring was still there.

"What's with you and surprises?" Hermione said, jokingly.

"I don't know," Ron said, laughing.

They walked on, "Almost there."

They finally reached the restaurant, "Okay, this is it."

Hermione realized what this place was and excitedly said, "Aww, Ron. This is so sweet! The place of our first date!"

"Really? This was it?"

Hermione gave him a evil glare, but couldn't help but smile.

"I'm just playing Hermione. I know what this place is. I wouldn't forget that," he said with an apologetic face, "we should go in."

He lead Hermione towards the entrance, 'here we go,' he thought. When they walked in, she quietly gasped. "Did you--?"

"Come on, let's sit down," Ron said, ushering her towards the table.

A waiter soon came out and took their order. After ordering, Hermione looked around in awe. She took in the scent, a smile etching across her face. "Vanilla, my favorite."

"I know," he replied, smiling.

The waiter soon came back with their food and drinks. "Yum. This looks delicious," Hermione said, eyeing her plate.

"Tell me about. Now I remember why I liked this place so much. The food!" Ron said as Hemione giggled.

They finished eating then relaxed and talked a little bit. Later, the waiter came back with dessert. There was a platter full of chocolate covered strawberries, marshmellows and other things. Along with that, there was a chocolate milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry on top, along with two straws. It was all Hermione's favorites. "This is brilliant Ron! You are the sweetest," she said, kissing him on the cheek. The finished eating...again. This time Ron took Hermione's hands in his and looked at her. She looked back, questioningly.

"Hermione," he said quietly.

"Ron..." she said curiously.

"Let me say this," he said. 'I hope she doesn't think I'm breaking up with her! Bloody hell.' he thought, giving her a warm smile before he started his speech. "Our first year, when we met on the train, I thought you were a stuck up snob who thought she was better than everyone." He saw Hermione smile and blush. "But by the end of the year, you had become one of my best friends and I knew there was something special about you. Second year, you got petrified. I was scared and I really needed help with my homework," he chuckled. "I didn't know what that knot in my stomach meant. Third year was horrible. I was jerk, and I hated your cat. That knot in my stomach whenever you were around was still there and I refused to believe it was what I thought, in the back of my mind, it was. Fourth year was hell. I stopped trying to get rid of that knot and finally admitted to myself that I liked you. We fought a lot and it totally killed me inside. I hated Viktor for taking you to that ball. He was taking MY Hermione to the Yule Ball!" he saw Hermione's eyes filling up with tears, he smiled at her. "Fifth year was bad. Voldemort was back and that witch Umbridge was there. You payed close attention to Harry and I couldn't help but feel jealous. I thought you liked him, I never thought you'd like a skinny, poor kid like me. With Sirius' death and everything, I found myself feeling alone a lot while you were comforting Harry. Sixth year had it's ups and downs. We didn't fight as much, but I started going out with Lavender. It was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I wished it was you I was kissing. I didn't feel one pinch of love for her, no matter how much she loved me. I knew then, I didn't just have a crush on you, I actually loved you. When Harry started going out with Ginny, and Lavender and I broke up (thank goodness!) I felt alone. You were there, but you weren't there like I wanted you." There were tears running down Hermione's face by now, he squeezed her hand and kept talking. "At Dumbledore's funeral, when you were leaning on me crying, as sad as I felt, there was a little ounce of happiness, I thought that I could actually have a chance with you. Seventh year was great. We didn't fight hardly at all and we always made up right afterwards. Our bond had grown so close that we were more than best friends. On Halloween, I took the plunge and asked you out. You said yes, we went out and it was great, the best time of my life. I thought nothing could bring me down, but then again, I never thought my best friend would die. I thought that I could get through it with you, but then you left me." Hermione was crying hard now, she looked like she wanted to say something, but Ron stopped her. "I thought I would die. Everyone was gone, nothing mattered. Somedays I would just sit in my apartment and do nothing. Do nothing but think of what I did wrong. That one day I wrote you, I got a letter back. It was bliss, the best day of the whole summer." He smiled again. "We rekindled the flame that once burned. Meeting you was the best day of my life. I always had hope for us, and I never gave up. Even after you left me, my hope was slipping away, but it was always there. You really are my one and only. I can't imagine my life without you. It wouldn't be the same. You made me the person I am today. I not only love you, I can't live without you. And that's why I'm asking," he pulled the ring out of his pocket, "Hermione Jane Granger, will you marry me?"

She looked shocked. Ron, for a second thought she would say no. Then she suddenly said "Yes!" and ran over to him and gave him the biggest hug of his life. She kissed him on the lips and he kissed her back. He pulled away after a few minutes.

"Hermione, do you want your ring?" he said, smiling.

"Oh! Yes," she said, controling herself.

Ron picked it up and slid it on her finger. Since he bought it at a wizard's jewlery shop, it formed to fit her finger. "It's beautiful, Ron. I love it and I love you," she said, kissing him again. "This is perfect," she added.

'As I hoped it would be,' Ron thought. "And I love you." He then kissed her again. They cuddled by the fire and enjoyed each others company late into the night. They left the restaurant and went back to Ron's apartment to enjoy the company and exchange more 'I Love You's.'

Chapter 7

“I love you, Hermione” Ron said the next morning.

“I love you too,” she said smiling and snuggling against his chest. They laid there for a few minutes before Ron spoke.

“Do you wanna go to the burrow today? To see everyone…and tell them the news?” Ron asked, already knowing the answer.

“Of course,” she said, kissing him.

“Great, lets get ready,” he said, standing up and heading towards the bathroom.

Before he went in he turned and looked at Hermione, “you coming?” he asked with a sly grin.

Hermione got up and ran into the bathroom, giggling. They took a shower then got ready for the day.

Ron put on khaki pants and a short sleeve polo shirt that showed off his muscles, with flip flops. “Nice outfit Ron,” Hermione said, seeing him.

“What’s wrong with it?” he asked, looking confused.

“Um…your shoes. If that’s what you call them,” she said in a matter-of-factly tone. “Can’t you wear some nicer shoes?”

“Like what?” he said, feeling a little annoyed, but amused at the same time.

Hermione walked over to his closet and looked at his shoes. She pulled out some ordinary brown shoes and turned to him. “What’s wrong with these?” she said.

“Wear these,” she said, handing them to him. “They’ll look better with your outfit.” She smiled at him.

“Fine,” he said, defeated and smirking.

Hermione looked at part of the closet. The part with her stuff in it. She was over there so often, and sometimes spending the night, she already had about half her clothes at Ron’s place. She finally chose a black skirt and a light blue top with a slight V-neck and lace on the bottom. She wore some slip on black shoes.

“I’m ready!” she said, turning around.

“You look pretty,” Ron said before walking out of the room.

“Thank you,” she said sweetly, standing on her tip-toes and kissing his cheek. “Ready to go?”

“Yeah,” Ron said, walking towards the door. He let Hermione walk out first before walking out himself. He shut and locked the door then turned around and grabbed Hermione’s hand.

“It’s only about 2:00, Mum won’t have dinner prepared until around 5,” Ron said. “We have a couple hours…anything you’d like to do?”

“Hmm…we could go to Hogsmeade? We haven’t been there in awhile,” Hermione said, “and I think a new shop just opened.”

Ron and Hermione spent most of the afternoon wondering around Hogsmeade, enjoying the shops and enjoying each other. Ron looked at his watch, “It’s almost 4:30, we should be going,” he said to Hermione.

“Okay, how are we getting there?” she said.

“Um…I guess floo,” he said, walking towards the Three Broomsticks. He went in, followed by Hermione. “Do you want to go first?” he asked.

“No, you can.”

“Okay,” he said. “See you there!” He picked up a handful of powder, “The Burrow!” he yelled and quickly whipped out of sight.

Hermione stepped in with a handful of powder and shouted “The Burrow!” and was also gone soon.

“Ronald? What are you doing here?” Mrs. Weasley questioned curiously at the sight of him.

“Me and,” Ron started as Hermione toppled out of the fireplace, “Hermione decided to come over for dinner.”

“Well, how delightful!” she said happily. “The twins are coming over as well! And as for Ginny…I don’t know. I never know with her now days…” she said quietly, more to herself.

Hermione glanced at Ron with a saddened look on her face. Ron slinked his arm around her and pulled her closer. “Mum? Where’s Dad?”

“Oh, he’s out doing some odd thing. Who knows. Ever since he retired, he just goes out on days to do things I know nothing about. He should be home in a bit,” she said merrily. “I need to start dinner, Fred and George should be over soon,” she added, walking off to the kitchen.

Ron sat down and looked around. “This place hasn’t changed one bit.”

“Nope,” Hermione said, sitting next to him. He put his arm around and they sat there for a while, in their own little world.

“Hermione? Can I show you something?”

“Yes, anything. What is it?” she asked curiously.

“Come on,” he said, getting up and grabbing her hand.

“Ron! Where are we going?” she kept asking as they went outside.

“You’ll see,” he said.

He led her down, into the middle of the woods. They reached a little hill, with a cave near the bottom. He walked up to it and put his wand tip at the entrance. It opened immediately.

“Ron…?” Hermione asked, very curious.

“Sshh…” he said as he led her a little ways along the already lit cave. He suddenly turned around. “Close your eyes.”

“Okay…” she said cautiously.

“Hermione, trust me, I’m not going to let anything happen to you,” he said, grabbing her hand and pulling her along. They stopped a little ahead or where they were. “Okay…open.”

“Ron, what—,” she said, cut off by the sight in front of her. “This…this is beautiful. What is this place?”

“I don’t really know. I found it the summer before first year,” Ron said.

He looked out and surveyed the cavernous walls before them. A waterfall ran on the other side. A pool was in the middle, full of crystal clear water. A “balcony” ran along the top, over the waterfall. There was another little space that had a couch and a few other little things.

“Ever wonder where I go when nobody can find me?” he said, grinning. “This is it.” He said, walking up the steps the rock formations had formed.

“Ron, this is unbelievable,” Hermione said, in awe still. “Are you the only one who knows about this?”

“Yeah…and you. It seems as if its only visible to me and those with me that I want to see it.”

“So not even Harry knew about this?”

“No, I planned to show you both, but…” Ron said trailing off.

“What do you do in here?” Hermione asked curiously.

“Sleep. Eat. Write. Read. Swim. Explore,” he said, “all sorts of things.”

“Wow, Ron. This is so incredible.”

She walked around and surveyed everything.

“Maybe after dinner we can go swimming,” Ron said, winking.

Hermione walked up to Ron. “Okay,” she replied, giving him a quick kiss and walking towards the exit. Ron caught up with her and grabbed her hand. He turned her around and gave her a passionate kiss on the lips.

She pulled away, “It never gets old.” She smiled and left the cave. Ron followed her and they went back to the Burrow for dinner.

“This is wonderful, Mrs. Weasley,” Hermione said, taking another small bite of her potatoes.

“Thank you dear,” she said, smiling warmly. “And how many times do I have to tell you? Call me Molly.”

Ron glanced at Hermione, she glanced back. He cleared his throat before saying “Well. Family,” they all looked towards Ron expectedly. “We have something to tell you,” he added. “Me and Hermione are getting married!” he finally finished.

“Oh Ron!” Mrs. Weasley said happily. “We wondered when this would happen!”

“Well done, Ronnikins!” Fred and George said.

The rest of the meal was spent talking about Ron and Hermione. After it was done, Ron and Hermione were sitting on the couch in the den. “Want to go swimming?” Ron whispered in Hermione’s ear.

Hermione smiled and nodded her head. “Well guys, we’re gonna head off. We’ll drop by later in the week.”

“Good-bye dears. Be safe,” Mrs. Weasley said, seeing them off.

Instead of going down the road, they made their way back to the cave. It opened up and they went pack inside. “So are we going to swim?”

“Yep!” Hermione said. She stripped down to her under garments and jumped in the water. She laughed, “are you coming?”

“Yeah,” he replied, getting down to his boxers. He jumped in after her, doing a canon-ball.

Hermione swam over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She pressed his forehead to his and kissed him on the lips. Ron broke the kiss and smiled. Then he disappeared under the water. He reappeared a few seconds later on the other side of the pool. Hermione whipped around and started swimming towards him. He dodged her and they continued playing this game. And some other games way into the night.

** Nothing to really say…Enjoy! **

Chapter 8

“I love you,” Hermione whispered into Ron’s ear. She pulled the sheets up to her neck and looked at Ron. ‘He’s so adorable,’ she said when she saw him sleeping like a baby. They hadn’t got home until very late last night, so Hermione had just spent the night at Ron’s, as she did rather frequently. Hermione kissed Ron’s cheek then pulled the sheet around her and ran to the bathroom.

She quickly and quietly turned on the shower and let it get hot. She waited for a few minutes before hopping in. Hermione relaxed when the scalding water hit her back. She closed her eyes and stood there, letting the hot water take over her body.

“May I join you?” a deep voice said. Hermione screamed, then saw Ron’s familiar head poking in through the curtain.

“Of course,” she said, backing up to make room for Ron. Hermione looked up at him not feeling one bit uncomfortable standing in the shower with him. “Good morning, love,” she said placing her hands his chest.

Ron looked at down and then kissed her. He broke away then grabbed a washcloth and a bar of soap. He lathered the soap up and gently washed Hermione’s body. She did the same with him. They washed their hair and then rinsed themselves clean. Hermione looked up at him through the hair that was covering her face. Ron moved her hair to the side, lifted her chin and kissed her again. This time it was much more passionate. Hermione wrapped her arm’s around his neck and ran her fingers through his wet hair. She tickled his neck as he rubbed his hands up and down her back. Ron broke away and then turned off the water. They dried themselves then went back into the bedroom.

Ron secured his towel around his waist and sat on the bed. He watched Hermione pick out underwear and put them on. He sat there and smiled. She looked in the mirror and saw him smiling. Hermione turned around and walked over to him in her pink push-up bra and matching pink panties. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. He of course kissed back, wrapping his arms around her waist. Ron leaned back, pulling Hermione down with him. He unfastened her bra and as quickly as her clothes were put on, they were taken off. Hermione rolled over, making Ron be on top of her fragile body. She unfastened his towel and threw it to the side. Hermione’s nails softly pressed into Ron’s back.

She lifted her head up and Ron kissed her neck. He moved to the side and nibbled on her ear. He then made a line of kisses from her neck to her belly button, then moved back to her lips. Their hips moved in rhythm with each others, side side up down, side side up down. A soft moan escaped Hermione’s mouth. Her hands moved up his back and onto his arms. She had a strong hold on his shoulders. Finally, Ron broke away. He rolled off of Hermione and took a deep breath. Hermione giggled and turned to look at Ron.

“We’re not gonna have anything left for the honey-moon if we keep this up,” she said playfully.

“No,” Ron said, “I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve,” he added with his secretive grin.

Hermione laughed and got up. She fetched her bra and panties and put them on, again. She walked to Ron and looked at him. “This is the last time I’m putting these on today, young man.” Ron smiled and got up to put his own underwear on.

Hermione put low-riding jeans and a tank top on. Ron put jeans and a polo shirt on. He walked over to Hermione as she was brushing her hair. He wrapped his arms around her and whispered in her ear. “Well. Maybe if you weren’t so damn beautiful, things like this wouldn’t happen.”

Hermione giggled as she gave him a quick kiss and went back to brushing her hair. “I’m going to make breakfast, anything sounds good?” Ron said.

“No, anything is fine.”

“Okay,” he said, walking towards his kitchen. He got some eggs and sausage cooking then went to fix coffee.

Hermione walked in about five minutes later. “Yum! Smells good,” she said, walking over and getting herself some coffee. She sat down and Ron put her plate down in front of her, then sat next to her with his own. “This looks good, Ron. Who knew you could cook?”

“Well. Let’s hope it tastes as good as it looks,” he said, smiling.

They sat eating and enjoying some casual conversation. “Ron. I can’t believe I have to wait six whole months to get married to you,” Hermione said.

“Well. I have to wait just as long as you,” he said, grinning.

“Ron. You don’t think we could…move up our wedding date do you?” Hermione asked, not sure of what he’d say.

“Well. If you really want to, I don’t see why not,” Ron said, taking Hermione’s hand in his. Hermione’s face lit up.

“Oh really Ron!? You would do that for me?” she said happily.

“Yes. Hermione, I would do anything for you.”

Hermione got up and tackled Ron in a hug. Hermione went to find her day planner and brought it back to the table.

“So. What month?” she said, putting on her game face.

“Well. What about late June?” Ron suggested.

“That sounds perfect,” she said, leaning over and giving Ron a peck on the lips.

Hermione leaned over and started making some schedule changes. “Okay since we want a small wedding we could have in my parents back yard so we don’t have to find a place. We’ll have to pick out flowers and a cake soon. We should also get our wedding party arranged and get your dress robes picked out and my robes picked out and…” Hermione just kept going on. Ron sat there and smiled as Hermione talked all about the wedding.

“Okay, so. Sound good?” she said, finally finishing.

“What? Oh yeah. It sounds prefect,” Ron said, coming back to reality.

Hermione laughed. “You didn’t hear much of that, did you?” Ron shook his head.

“Didn’t think so. So. Do you wanna go to Diagon Alley and look at flowers and robes today?”

“Okay. Well we should probably get going soon. You know, beat the traffic. And we can eat a late lunch or dinner there.”

“Sounds good.”

Hermione and Ron finished getting ready then Flooed to Diagon Alley. They looked around the flower shop and decided they wanted white lilies at their wedding. Next they went to the robes shop. Hermione found some fantastic light blue ones that would look perfect on Ginny, who was going to be her maid of honor, so she bought them. Ron found some darker blue ones for Fred, his best man, and bought them. Ron found some black ones with a light blue accent and bought them for himself. Hermione found gorgeous white ones with light blue almost white beads in a pattern and bought them for herself.

After their shopping was done they went to eat dinner and then they went back home. Well, to Ron’s house, but Hermione practically lived there.

Hermione leaned on Ron as they watched a movie and enjoyed some popcorn. “I love you, Ron,” she said, kissing him.

“I love you, Hermione,” Ron said. “More than anything in the world.”

Chapter 9

“Ron, wake up!” Hermione said. “You’ve been sleeping forever!”

“Wha?” Ron said dazed.

“Wake up sleepy head!” Hermione said.

Ron rubbed his eyes and saw Hermione standing above him. He sat up and rubbed his eyes more. “What time is it?”

“Man. Why didn’t you wake me up earlier?”

“I don’t know. You just looked so peaceful,” Hermione explained. “But now you need to get up. We have wedding stuff to do!”

“Okay okay. I’m getting up.” Ron got dressed and ate a quick breakfast before him and Hermione were out the door.

They once again traveled to Diagon Alley to shop for wedding things. They picked out invitations, table settings, and even ordered the cake.

When they were don shopping, Ron took Hermione out for dinner before going to the Burrow. After dinner, they made they’re way to the Weasley’s house.

“Hello?” Ron called.

“Ron?” Mrs. Weasley said, walking into the den. “Hello you two! I’m sorry, you’ve just missed dinner.”

“It’s fine mum. We already ate, we just came by to talk with you and dad about the wedding.”

“Okay well. I’ll go find him. There’s some chocolate cake in the kitchen, feel free to have some,” she said, walking out of the room.

Ron quickly made his way to the kitchen and before Hermione had even sat down, he already was eating a piece of cake.

Mr. Weasley followed his wife into the kitchen and they both sat down. “So. What is it that you wanted to talk to us about?”

“The wedding,” Ron said. “We’ve sort of, moved up the date.”

“To June,” Hermione added.

“That’s gre—that’s next month!”

“Yes, but we’ve already picked out the flowers, cake, table settings and our dress robes,” Ron said.

“And we’re planning on having it in my parents back yard. It’s fairly big and we didn’t want a huge wedding anyway. Just family and friends,” Hermione said.

“So? What do you say?” Ron finished.

“Well. It sounds like you have almost everything worked out. I think it will be a grand little wedding,” Mrs. Weasley said, smiling.

Ron and Hermione smiled. “We’re planning on having the wedding on June 19th.”

“Great,” she said. “Would you like any more cake Ron? Hermione, do you want some?”

“No thanks, Mrs. Weasely.”

“No mum.”

“Well…okay. And Hermione, for the last time. Call me mom!”

Hermione grinned. “Okay…mom.”

After visiting for awhile, Ron and Hermione bid good night and left. “Good night ‘Mione,” Ron said when they reached Hermione’s house.

“Night Ron.” She gave him a hug and a kiss on the lips. Ron kissed her back but then pulled away.
“See you tomorrow,” he said before turning and heading home.

The few weeks before the wedding were hectic. Invitations were addressed and flown out, while the bridal party was measured to make sure their robes fit. Everyone was busy, there wasn’t a time of day where somebody, somewhere, wasn’t talking about the wedding.

Ron and Hermione were never more in love. They were ecstatic about getting to move the wedding up. Not only were they excited for the wedding, they were excited about the honeymoon.

**So…I had a little bit of writer’s block but now I’m back! So I hope you enjoy this chapter.**

Chapter 10

The day before the wedding there was a short rehearsal before the bridal party and parents went to a small restaurant in London. The rehearsal was…hectic. Hermione wanted a muggle ceremony and Ron was fine with anything, it was Ron’s family that was having the problem. They were, of course, only used to wizard ceremonies, so naturally they had no idea what to do. After some explaining they finally knew what to do and when to do it.

“Okay, time to go to the restaurant!” Hermione announced. “Everyone knows where it is…see you there!” The wizards quickly Disapparated and the muggles got in the car to leave. Ron and Hermione were the only ones left in the backyard. Hermione went around picking up odds and ends and making sure the chair arrangements were perfect. Ron stood watching her with a grin on his face before walking over to her. He grabbed her waist and turned her around.

“Do you need something Mr. Weasley?” she said seductively.

“Yes,” he answered bluntly. He bent down and kissed her softly on the lips. He snuck his hands in the back pockets of her jeans while deepening the kiss. Hermione opened her lips slightly, allowing the entry of Ron’s tongue. After a few minutes, she broke away.

“We better get to the restaurant, people will be wondering where we were,” she said.

Ron nodded. “See you there, love,” he said before disappearing. Hermione exited soon after.

The others were just sitting down when Ron and Hermione arrived. The couple sat at the head of the table and began looking over the menu. “Know what you’re gonna get?” Hermione said, leaning towards Ron.

“Nope.” He snuck a quick kiss behind the menu before shifting his eyes back to the text.

First course…second course…dessert. Once all food had had been eaten, a light chit-chat broke out among the guests. Hermione gently tapped her spoon against her glass, bringing everyone to silence. She stood up, “I just wanted to thank everyone for helping us out so much. I know we moved the wedding up and it was sudden, but everyone helped so much to get everything perfect. So...thanks!” Hermione said with a smile on her face. She looked down at Ron with her eyebrow raised.

“Uh…yeah, what she said. Thanks,” he said, grinning. A light laughter broke out among guests.

“We’ll see you all tomorrow,” Hermione said before sitting back down to gather her things.

Mrs. Weasley walked over to Ron and hugged him. “See you tomorrow. And Ron, try not to be late. It is your own wedding after all.”

“I won’t, Mum.” Mostly everyone had left by now, a few wizards were left and with a good-bye they quickly Disapparated. Ron turned to Hermione and looked at her. “Tomorrow.”

“Yes tomorrow. After tomorrow I’m all yours. Forever. How’s that sound?” Hermione said, smiling and leaning towards Ron, putting her arms around his neck.

“That sounds pretty nice,” he replied, kissing her. She giggled and kissed him back. “But,” he said pulling away, “I don’t want to spoil you too much so I must go.”

Hermione nodded. “I’ll see you tomorrow love,” she said, giving him a peck on the lips. “I love you.”

“Bye, I love you too,” he said before Disapparating. Hermione sighed and then Disapparated.

The next morning was as hectic as ever. The boys were getting ready at the Burrow and the girls were getting ready at the Grangers. Hermione had been sick all morning and still wasn’t recovering. “Hermione are you sure you’re okay?”

“Yes, Gin,” she paused before throwing up again, “I’m fine, just nervous.”

“Okay…,” she said before going to get herself and others ready.

“Excited Ron?” Fred said.

“Of course I am. Why wouldn’t I be?”

“No reason. You do realize you’re stuck with he after this?”

“Yes Fred. And if I hadn’t realized that, oh well. Trust me, I know I’m marrying the right person.”

“I know. I’m just joking with you.”

Ron smiled before straightening his tie. “I hate these things. How can muggles stand them?”

“I’m with you, I feel like I’m choking myself,” George said.

Ron ruffled his hair. He grunted a few times before giving up. “Well, I’m ready,” he said, going down stairs.

“Hermione, how are you doing?” Ginny asked through the door.

“Better,” she said opening the door. “I think I’ll be okay. Can you get me a glass of water maybe?” Ginny nodded and dashed off towards the kitchen.

Hermione looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. She put light makeup on, making her skin radiant. She brushed her hair and let curls fall loosely on her shoulders. She grabbed a few pins trying to decide what to do with them. She twisted the front of her hair and pinned it a bit above her ear on each side. “Hm…,” she looked at her hair. “That’ll do.” Ginny arrived back with water. “Gin, does my hair look okay?” she asked, taking a gulp of water.

“It looks great. We need to hurry…the wedding starts in 20 minutes!”

“Seriously?” Hermione yelled, running towards her closet. She grabbed her dress and slid it on. Ginny zipped the back and grabbed her veil. She placed it on Hermione’s head and smiled.

“You look beautiful, Hermione.”

“Think so?” she said, smiling and twirling around in her gown. “I can’t wait till you get married! It’ll be fun!”

Ginny’s smile faded a bit, “Yeah…I don’t know if that will ever happen,” her thoughts straying to Harry.

Hermione’s smile faded a bit as well. She put her hand on Ginny’s shoulder and smiled. “He’s here Gin. And he wants you to be happy.”

“I know,” she said, nodding. “Ah well, enough of the mushy stuff, we need to go.”

Ginny walked down the stairs with Hermione behind her. “You wait here, I have to see if the boys are here yet.” Hermione nodded and waited on the stairs.

“Hey Gin,” Ron said, seeing his sister enter the kitchen. “You look pretty.”

“Thanks. Are you guys ready?”

“Yep,” they said in unison.

“Okay, well it’s time to start so…go!” she said, rushing off to fetch Hermione.

“Okay Hermione, it’s show time.”

Hermione smiled a nervous smile. Her and Ginny hugged before walking to the back doors. “Hi daddy,” Hermione said when she met her dad.

“You look beautiful, princess,” he said, kissing her cheek. Ginny smiled before walking down the aisle. Hermione grabbed her bouquet in one hand and her father’s arm with the other. They both took deep breaths and set off down the aisle.

Ron looked towards his bride and smiled. She caught his eye and smiled back. Hermione and her father reached the front and her father gave her away. Ron took her hands and gave them a squeeze. The minister began speaking and said all the respective things. Ron recited his vows first.

“Since the day I met you I knew there was something but seeing as I was 11, I didn’t quite know what it was. Honestly, my first impression of you was a bossy know-it-all who had pretty brown eyes and a nice smile. I soon developed a crush and I never quit crushing. You came back sixth year and wow, you had really developed into a beautiful person. I knew then that you, you needed to be mine. I had fallen in love with you and since then, I’ve never fallen out. And I don’t plan to either,” he paused and smiled. “I was surprised to find that you shared those feelings. And now, here we are, confirming those feelings we spent so long denying. So really, all I wanted to say was I love you and I always have and I always will,” he finished up with a wide, toothy smile.

Hermione smiled back at him with a few tears slipping from her eyes. “Wow. Can’t beat that,” she said earning a little bit of laughter from the guests. “Well, I didn’t feel the same at first. I thought you were a downright prat with red hair that shocked a little bit too much. But then of course you grew. And sixth year I really noticed you. You weren’t such a prat and you had actually got some good looks. We spent more time together, just you and me. I won’t ever forget the time you actually said you loved me. It was totally platonic and you probably don’t even remember it, but it never left my mind. After a few years we got tired of denying our feelings and finally got together, much to the pleasure of all our friends. The bickering-Ron-and-Hermione became the inseparable-Ron-and-Hermione. My like grew to love, unconditional love. And that’s where it’s gonna stay. Always. And. Forever. I love you, Ronald Weasley.”

Ron smiled and recited the words he had been waiting for, “I do.” Hermione smiled and repeated, “I do.” The minister smiled, “You may kiss the bride.”

Ron took Hermione’s face in his hands and kissed her lips with all the passion he could muster. They broke apart and smiled. Ron picked Hermione up in his arms and carried her down the aisle.

A simple reception followed the wedding. The bride and groom toasted with champagne and cut the cake. “Wow, ‘Mione, this cake is really good,” Ron said with a mouth full.

“Any cake is good to you,” Hermione said, giving him a peck on the lips. Ron nodded and smiled.

Family and friends greeted the new Mr. and Mrs. Weasley before slowly dispersing. “Ready to go?” Ron said eagerly, bouncing on the balls of feet.

“Hold on there buddy,” Hermione said, touching his arm. She smiled and walked over to the remaining guests, which the Weasley’s and the Granger’s. “We’re leaving now,” Hermione announced to the families.

“Oh, goodbye dear!” Mrs. Weasley said, giving her new daughter-in-law a hug. The other family members gave hugs before saying goodbye to the newlyweds.

“Okay, now we can leave,” she said, grabbing Ron’s hand and walking towards the door. Ron grinned and followed his wife.

“What hotel are we staying at?” Hermione asked, turning to Ron.

Ron smiled. “Get in and you’ll see,” he said pointing to the carriage a few yards ahead of them. Hermione beamed and ran to it, waiting for Ron to help her. Once they were settled in the carriage, it began to move steadily along the street.

“Ron, did you do this?” she said, leaning on his shoulder. Ron nodded ‘yes’ and grinned at his wife’s excitement. “This is perfect,” she said, kissing Ron.

The carriage stopped in front of a fancy hotel and Ron hopped out, then helped Hermione. “Ron, did you do this too?” He nodded innocently again and Hermione squealed.

Ron carried her up to their room and opened the door. Hermione’s jaw dropped. There were red rose petals scattered around the room with vanilla candles lit in various places. A chocolate fountain was set on a table in front of the fire with different foods for dipping. “Ronald Weasley. This room is amazing.” Hermione hugged Ron before running to the bathroom.

“Hermione? Where are you going? What’s wrong?” Ron said.

“You stay here…I’ll be back in a few minutes,” she said before closing the bathroom door.

Ron shrugged before kicking off his shoes, loosening his tie and sitting on the edge of the bed. He plopped back on his back and sighed. ‘This is the life,’ he thought, smiling. He heard the door creak open and he sat up.

“Ready?” he heard Hermione say.

“Ready? For what?” he answered, confused.

“You’ll see,” she said. Ron raised an eyebrow. Hermione walked seductively out of the bathroom and over to Ron.

Ron gulped, “Wow, Her--Hermione y--you look--err, you l--look, pretty,” he said stuttering out words.

“Oh?” she said finally reaching him and putting her arms around his neck. She was wearing, well, barely anything. Short, white, satin lingerie covered, what appeared to be matching, hot pink undergarments.

“Yep,” Ron said, warming up to the situation. He placed his hands on Hermione’s hips and lowered her down to his lap before kissing her gently and passionately. Hermione ran her hands through his thick hair and moaned lightly.

As things heated up, Ron laid back on the bed, bringing Hermione with him. Hermione tugged at Ron’s tie before getting it off and throwing it away from them. She started unbuttoning his shirt as he slid his hands slide around to her back. Hermione stripped Ron’s shirt off and brought her face back to his. They gazed at each other for a few seconds before locking in another kiss.

“Wow, Hermione. You look even more beautiful tonight,” Ron said, looking at her. Hermione answered by nibbling on Ron’s lower ear a bit.

“Ron,” Hermione said urgently. “We can’t do this, not tonight.” Ron furrowed his brow in confusion. “I’m just so tired. All this stress and everything, but now its over and, I’m sorry, I’m just ready for a good night’s sleep and I jus--.”

“Mione, its okay,” Ron said. Hermione smiled and burrowed under the warmth of her covers. Ron smiled back and cuddled next to her. “I love you,” he said kissing her forehead.

“You too,” she muttered before she drifted into a deep sleep.

The next morning Ron woke and Hermione wasn’t beside him. He put on the robe that was on the chair next to the bed and wondered around. “Hermione?” he said aloud. He opened the bathroom door, only to find Hermione sitting in front of the toilet, looking pale.

“Hermione!” Ron said, sitting beside her, “What’s wrong?”

“I’m sick,” she said.

“I could’ve figured that much out. But why? You seemed fine last night,” Ron asked, rubbing her back.

Hermione sighed and sat back. “I need to tell you something.”

Chapter 11

“What, what is it Hermione?” Ron asked urgently.

“”I’m…I’m pregnant,” she said, gulping.

Ron stared blankly at her for a few seconds before his face lit up into a wide smile. “Hermione, that’s great!” he said, engulfing her in a warm hug.

“It is?” she said

“Of course it is! Why wouldn’t it be?”

“I don’t know. We didn’t necessarily want to start a family right away, did we? I mean, we just got married last night.”

“Well yes but, wait, are you unhappy about us having a child?” Ron said, confused.

“No! Not at all, I want nothing more than to have our kids and grow old with you. It’s just a bit sooner than we planned,” Hermione said.

“Yes, I know it’s a bit soon but, it doesn’t matter to me. I’m happy with having a baby now,” Ron said, pressing his forehead against Hermione’s and giving her a warm kiss. She smiled and then began to get up from the floor. “Feeling better love?”

“Yes, a bit. I’m just not looking forward to being sick every morning for the next couple of months,” she replied.

Ron smiled a tad and looked at Hermione’s stomach, his smile broadened as he rubbed it. He wrapped his arms around her and she buried her head in his chest. They stayed entangled in a hug for a few minutes before Hermione spoke. “Ron, I’m scared. I just need you to be here for me every step of the way.”

“Hermione, don’t be scared. I’m never going to leave your side, you don’t have to worry, I love you,” Ron said, kissing the top of her head.

Hermione smiled and walked back into the other room, “So, have any names in mind?” she called from the other room. Ron walked into the other room to join her and discuss the future of their family.

[[2 years later]]

“Anna, come here,” Hermione called from the park bench. A small, curly red-headed girl looked up and smiled with only a few teeth. “Come on, its time to go.”

The little girl stumbled out of the sand box and carefully walked, taking one step at a time, to her mother. “Hermione, be careful! She’s only just learned to walk.”

“Ron, I’m watching,” she said, looking at her husband.

“Damn! Hermione, hand me a cloth, quick!” Ron said disgusted at the white slime all over his shoulder.

“Ronald, watch your language in front of our children please,” she said, handing him the cloth she had just used to wipe Anna’s hands off. She picked her up and sat her between them.

“Sorry love,” he said.

“Give me him while you clean up,” she said, reaching out. Ron handed her their son, Eric, before continuing to wipe spit up off of himself.

“I swear, I’ve never seen this much of anything come out of a child that small in my entire life,” he said. He threw away the wipe and sat back down on the bench.

Anna crawled into her father’s lap and burrowed her head into his chest. “Someone’s a bit tired, eh?” he said to his wife.

Hermione looked up and smiled. She scooted over closer to Ron as he wrapped his arms around her and she leaned her head on his shoulder. Ron looked down at their son who had just fallen asleep in his mothers arms and smiled. “Hermione?”

“Hmm?” she said quietly.

“Are you happy?”

“Never been happier. Why? Are you not?” she said, sitting up a bit more.

“I’m happy as ever. I’ll always be happy as long as I have you, Anna and Eric with me,” he said, giving her a quick peck on the lips.

Hermione smiled, “I love you.”

“I love you,” Ron replied. Anna rubbed her eyes and burrowed deeper into Ron’s chest. “We better get these two home and in bed,” he said.

“Sounds perfect,” Hermione said gathering their stuff and standing up.

Ron and Hermione, a child in each one of their arms, walked up the block to their warm flat, put their kids to bed, and sat on their couch to enjoy the rest of the night with each other.
