September 9th 1980

Gabrielle Zabini smiled at the two small babies in her arms. Only one hour ago had she given birth to the twins. One now dressed in blue by the name of Blaise and one in pink by the name of Mia. A knock at the door caused Gabrielle almost to jump in fright. She called for them to come in. It was four people, and one was carrying a small baby. One of them was a nurse. The others were her husband Adrian, who was grinning from ear to ear, and Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy with their eight month old baby Draco. Gabrielle smiled warmly at them all.

"You are free to leave in four hours Mrs. Zabini." She said briskly before exiting the room. The remaining three adults each sat down in a chair after Narcissa had put baby Draco into a cot. They all looked at the newborn twins wordlessly. Gabrielle was still beaming. Eventually Adrian decided to make a request.

"Can I hold one please?" He asked nervously. Gabrielle laughed. She nodded and handed Blaise to him. There was no way she would let him hold both at once. He would probably drop the poor babies. Lucius looked Gabrielle in the eye.

"Could I?" He asked just as nervously as Adrian had. Gabrielle and Narcissa both laughed before she handed Mia over to him.

"So what have you called them?" Narcissa asked joyously.

"Blaise and Mia. The one in pink being Mia and the one in blue being Blaise obviously." She answered happily. She chatted with her two friends and husband for a while not thinking of the bad that could come from this joyous day. But unfortunately she would have to think of it eventually.

November 1st 1980

Gabrielle, Adrian, Narcissa and Lucius sat in the Malfoy Manor discussing and gossiping as usual. All of their children were asleep in the nursery. An owl soared through the window and dropped a large envelope in front of Gabrielle. It was her copy of that days Daily Prophet. Casually she excused herself from the conversation so that she could read the paper. Something she did often. There was never usually anything worth reading in it, but she always checked just in case. As she glanced down at the front page, she gasped in shock.

Baby Potter Defeats Dark Lord

The day that nearly all witches and wizards across the world have waited for has come at last. The Dark Lord has been defeated. In the late hours of last night, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named turned up at the doorstep of the Potter's house in a bid to kill James and Harry Potter. It caused quite a disturbance in the area. Unfortunately, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named succeeded in killing Mr James Potter who had recently turned 22. Lily Potter, wife of James, was also murdered it has been rumoured. The rumours also say that when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named turned upon Harry Potter, a mere baby, the curse backfired and banished He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Others say that he wasn't killed and will come back one day.

'He is not gone. He will bide his time until he sees fit to continue.' Albus Dumbledore comments.

Continued on pages 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Gabrielle dropped the paper in shock causing everyone to turn and look at her in surprise. Narcissa picked up the paper and scanned it quickly before gasping. She flung the paper to both men who read it as quickly as possible. When finished they all stared at each other in shock.

"Does this mean we will be free once again Lucius?" Narcissa asked timidly. Lucius turned to look at his wife.

"For the time being yes. He is not gone I assure you. He mentioned before that he had his ways of staying alive. No-one knows what these are. Until he makes a return." Lucius answered. Gabrielle looked at him.

"But you will return to him?" She gasped. Lucius looked at the floor.

"I must. He will kill Narcissa and Draco if I do not. I will not put them in danger. I will act as a true follower when he returns. I will also have to act dark and I will need to get used to acting like I hate muggles, muggleborns half-bloods etc. It would do well for your childrens safety if you did too."

Gabrielle nodded sadly. 'Poor Potters' she thought to herself.

December 20th 1980

Gabrielle darling, we need to have a talk." Adrian announced as he sat down beside his wife. She turned to look at him in confusion. It was rare that her husband would say this and when he did it was not usually to dicuss anything good.

"Yes hunny?" She asked a little nervous. He placed his hand on hers comfortingly.

"It turns out that the Death Eaters have found out that we have had twins. Unfortunately because we have two they want us to give one over to them. They said if we only had one they would leave us be." He said solemnly. Gabrielle nearly choked on her tea.

"Which baby are they after?" She asked, dreading the answer.

Gabrielle broke into tears. She knew everything had been to good to be true.

"There is no way on earth that I'm giving my daughter to those beasts." She said between sobs.

"Which is exactly why I sugest we put her up for adoption and tell the Death Eaters she died. We will put a Glamour Charm on her tomorrow. We will get her back one day."

Shaking madly, Gabrielle nodded.

December 24th 1980

Clutching a small bundle in her arms Gabrielle Zabini ran along the dark, snow filled street as fast as she could. She glanced down at the innocent bundle in her care. She sobbed as she thought of what she was doing. Why, she asked herself. Why does it have to be my child? She wrapped the blanket tighter around her little girl. A loud clock chimed sounding midnight. Gabrielle couldn't believe she was giving up her daughter on Christmas. It was so unfair. What did the Dark Lord's Death Eaters want with her daughter anyway? Whatever it was, Gabrielle could not let her little girl turn into a monster. She wouldn't have it. The only answer was to secretly put her up for adoption. She would now have to grow up without her twin brother. Without her real family. Gabrielle looked ahead. She was nearly there now. Just a minute or so now. At long last she stood outside a rather formal looking building. Above it read a sign saying 'Baby Adoption Agency'. True, it was a muggle adoption centre but Gabrielle had agreed with her husband that it was best that she grew up away from the evil world of magic. Until she was old enough anyway. Gabrielle stepped inside the building. A woman sat behind a large mahogany desk writing in a journal. She looked up as she felt the rush of coldness meaning the front door had been opened. Gabrielle shuffled forward to the desk. The worker pursed her lips into a thin straight line that reminded Gabrielle strongly of her former transfiguration Professor.

"Hello, I would like to give my child up for adoption." Gabrielle said to the woman with tears streaming down her face. The woman looked her up and down and nodded.

"May I ask the baby's gender and name?" The woman enquired. Gabrielle nodded solemnly.

"She's a female by the name of Mia. But if a family adopts her I wish for them to change her name." She replied voice full of emotion. The woman behind the desk nodded understandingly.

"I will also need to know Mia's date of birth."

"September 9th 1980." Gabrielle choked. "Anything else you must know?" She asked. The woman nodded.

"Is there anything you wish me to give the family or a passdown to Mia?"

Gabrielle nodded and pulled a box and envelope out of her pocket. She handed them to the woman behind the desk. The woman took them and placed them beside her.

"The letter is for the parents and the box is for Mia. Please do not tell the family of the personal information I have given you other than her date of birth. Please give Mia to good people. It is my only wish that she is taken good care of."

The woman nodded in approval. She outstretched her hands to take little Mia from Gabrielle. Gabrielle gave her child a quick peck on her forehead before whispering something that the woman could not hear. She handed her child across to the woman before dashing from the agency as fast as she could. After running a good bit from the agency she stopped. She snapped her eyes shut and apparated to her Manor. With a loud POP she landed in her living-room where her husband sat gazing into the fireplace.

"Did you do it?" He asked without even looking up at his wife. She fell down into the seat opposite him. He looked across at her. She nodded her head sadly. Adrian stood up and moved across to sit by his wife. She moved herself onto his knee and sobbed into him.

"Everything will work out in the end. I promise." He whispered soothingly in her ear as a single tear fell from his eye. He hugged Gabrielle closer to him.

"It isn't right for twins to be seperated." She choked.

"Blaise will meet his sister eventually. We will tell him of her as soon as he is old enough to understand."

Gabrielle nodded before falling asleep in her husbands arms.

Chapter 2: Who Am I?
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Author's Note - Hi people. Ok I have actually already wrote the first six chapters to this story. I'm really liking this chapter so far so I hope you do too. This is actually the first time I think that every one of my chapters has more than 1000 words. I'll try to keep it up. By the way thanks Felecity for the review. Love ya's.

Disclaimer - Wouldn't it be great if I really did own Harry Potter? For a start I'd stop making my lousy fanfics on Draco/Hermione and actually put them in the books ;). You get my point? Ok, I don't own it.

August 25th 1996

The sun shone through Hermione Grangers window. Sitting on her bed, she looked at her clock which read 10 AM. Slowly she pulled herself up and started to get changed. She put on a pair of denim shorts and a white strap top along with white flip flops. She pulled her brown frizzy hair into a loose ponytail before heading downstairs to greet her parents. After greeting her parents she headed to the kitchen to make her usual breakfast. Eggs and bacon with a glass of orange juice. As she opened the fridge door to reach for the carton of orange juice her mother called her.

"Hermione dear. Could you come through for a moment please?"

"Yes mother, I'll be through in a second." Hermione called back closing the fridge door. Her breakfast could wait. She walked back into the living room to see her mother and father sitting side by side on the sofa awaiting her. Unusual, she thought. She sat down in the armchair opposite her parents.

"You called?" Hermione asked politely. That was one thing that Hermione had learned growing up within the Granger residence. Showing respect for elders and being polite and well mannered. She observed her parents and noticed that her mother was clutching her fathers hand rather tightly with a shabby looking letter in the other hand. Also on the table was a packet of tissues. Whatever her mother had to say was definetly not going to be good news.

"You see Hermione," Her mother started. "You know that your father and I will always love you much more than you could ever imagine. You know that darling don't you?"

Hermione nodded clearly confused. "Yes mother and I hope you both know that I love you both more than you'll ever know aswell." Her mother and father both nodded knowingly. Hermione was now getting a little bit scared. Never before had her mother said anything like this to her.

"Well about eighteen years ago I found out that I couldn't actually have children. I was devasted. All I had ever wanted was a little baby girl to call my own. The doctors said it wasn't possible." her mother continued solemnly. Hermione laughed nervously.

"Well that's ridiculous. Doctors these days."

Her mother shook her head sadly. Hermione's breathing started to quicken.

"The doctors were right Hermione. So almost sixteen years ago we decided to adopt a child. It just so happens that we picked you. I'm so sorry darling. We are not your biological parents." Her father said sadly. Hermione's eyes nearly popped out of her head. If she was expecting anything it WAS NOT that! She felt rather sick now.

"You do understand darling, don't you? We weren't going to tell you until your 16th but you will be 16 in 2 weeks so we thought now would be a good time." her mother explained. Hermione nodded. She was taking it rather well.

"Yes mother. I understand. I know you still love me."

"One more thing darling. We have a letter which your biological mother wrote and something she left for she for when you found out."

Her mother handed her the letter and a small box which looked as though it had never been opened. Hermione took it and began to read the letter.

Dear family,
I felt the need to write to you about my child. Please understand I am not giving her up for adoption because I want to. I have no other choice. This will be very hard to explain in a letter. When you decide to tell my daughter of her adoption please let her know that her family love her and that she is a pureblood. It is dark times for our people and we must keep her safe. I cannot give you any details about my child except that her birthday is September 9th. You may name her what you wish. You may not understand what on earth I am talking about but when my child turns eleven you will find out. Please take good care of my lovely daughter and let her know that I will try and find her again one day. Please give her the box when you let her read this letter.
Your adopted daughters biological mother.

Hermione felt her eyes tearing up. She would do anything just to know who she was and who her family were. A tear fell down her face as she picked up the small box. When she opened it she gasped. It was a silver necklace with MCZ on it. It looked absolutely beautiful with the green encrusted emeralds on it. She slowly slipped it around her neck and admired it. She smiled to herself as she ran back upstairs to think things over.

Meanwhile in the Malfoy Manor

Blaise walked across his best friends room and looked out of the window sadly. He turned back around and flopped into a rather comfortable chair. Opposite him sat his best friend Draco Malfoy. He put his hand to his chest and pulled out a necklace which was around his neck. It had BWZ on it with encrusted emeralds. He ran his fingers along it sadly.

"Cheer up Blaise. We've got school in a week. Enjoy the rest of the holidays while you can." Draco said trying to lighten the mood. Blaise looked at him apologetically.

"Sorry, I just can't stop thinking about her." He said looking down at the floor again.

"Look Blaise, you'll find her. I'll help you if you want." Draco said.

"Would you?" Blaise asked hopefully. Draco nodded.

"I've known for as long as you that she was missing. I want to find her aswell."

Blaise smiled.

"Thanks Malfoy. We can start looking when we get to Hogwarts. All I know is that she has a similar necklace to this."

Draco nodded. Blaise smiled. He knew he was lucky to have such a good friend.

Chapter 3: Fluffy Pink Bunny Rabbits
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Author's Note - Some of you may have noticed that this is slightly similar to the story Rayanna Cadence Zabini. I did not, repeat did not set out to steal the story. I merely was inspired by it. The only things that are slightly similar is the fact that Hermione and Blaise are twins, the necklace and the same kind of response when Blaise finds out. Ok. Thank you so much guys for all of the positive responses. I hope you all enjoy this chapter. It is my favourite so far. Quite a bit of humour involved as well as little bunny rabbits lol. You'll see. Bye for now guys xxx.

Disclaimer - If I owned Harry Potter would I be sitting up at 2 AM with my back killing me writing fan fiction. I don't think so.

Review Thanks - Just like to say thanks to every single person who reviewed. XxXxX.

September 1st

Hermione sat alone in her usual carriage on the Hogwarts Express waiting for her friends. Her mind kept constantly replaying the conversation she had had with her parents when she had found out she was adopted. She still called her adoptive parents mum and dad but something had changed. She felt like there was a half to her missing. All she wanted to do was find her family. She wanted to know if her mother and father were alright. If she had any siblings. She still couldn't get the idea of her being a pureblood out of her head. That would really be something to tell Malfoy. Despite how much she wanted the world to know of the real her she had decided that she wanted to keep it secret for a while. As she sat inside her carriage she heard a familiar drawl from outside. She groaned inwardly and hoped to merlin that Malfoy would not see her. It would not be a good way to start off the year. Just as she thought he was gone her luck dropped to the ground.

"Well if it isn't Granger. All on her own." Malfoy drawled. Hermione looked up surprised to see he was not with his usual cronies but with Blaise Zabini instead. She didn't really have anything against Zabini but he was still Slytherin. She narrowed her eyes as she turned her attention back to Malfoy before making sure her necklace was out of view.

"Sod off Malfoy. Don't you have to be in the Prefect carriage about now?" She asked. Malfoy sneered.

"No Granger. For some odd reason I am not a Prefect this year. And if I'm not mistaken you're not either or you would have been down there ages ago to start sucking up to Professor McGonagall or something." He jeered. Hermione glared at him.

"If you must know, I am not a prefect this year. Now sod off and leave me alone." She snapped.

"Now why would I sod off when I can chat to my favourite Mudblood?" He asked mockingly. Hermione's eyes narrowed and Malfoy could have swore they flashed black. She stood up and walked up to him not caring that he was a good 4 inches taller than her aswell as being well muscled.

"Care to repeat?" She growled. Malfoy narrowed his eyes also.

"Whatever Granger." He said and stalked off. Hermione smiled as she sat back down in peace. Her friends would not be long. Harry and Ron were both prefects. It was the first time two boys had been picked from the same year and house. Ginny was also a prefect as she was now in fifth year. About ten minutes later Ginny, Harry and Ron all came back from the meeting all looking equally bored. Ron flopped down into the seat nearest the window.

"That meeting was more boring than a class with Professor Binns." Harry grumbled. Ron grunted in agreement whilst Ginny rolled her eyes. Hermione snorted at them and started to write in her journal before Ginny started speaking to her.

"So Hermione, how was your summer?" She asked curiously. Hermione felt an odd sense of guilt about not telling her friends, though she knew when she did they would understand her delay.

"Oh it was fine. Just caught up with some of my muggle friends. You know, because I hardly see them now. Sorry I couldn't make it to the Burrow by the way."

Ginny shook her head.

"No problem. You would have been bored. All that happened was games of Quidditch and I know you're not that keen on it."

Hermione nodded in agreement. She observed Ginny quickly. She certainly had changed. Her hair had turned into a more auborn colour and she had slimmed down quite a bit. She wasn't stunningly beautiful but was quite pretty according to Hermione. She then moved on to observe Harry. He looked a lot fitter. Probably from all that Quidditch over the summer. Although Hermione's relationship with Harry was very platonic she knew that a lot of girls would be dropping at his feet this year. Lastly she looked onto Ron who had grown to a large 6'4. He had gotten a bit more attractive over the year but once again Hermione and his relationship was very platonic. Sighing slightly she returned to writing in her journal.

Draco and Blaises Carriage

"Granger has certainly changed anyway." Blaise mentioned trying to strike a conversation. Draco nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, she has more of an attitude and the mudblood didn't even get prefect this year." He said curiously. Blaise's jaw dropped. Never had he heard Draco say something blood related like that unless he was in company of others.

"I thought blood didn't matter to you Draco?" He asked curiously. Draco sighed slightly. Blaise was right. Blood didn't matter to him. He and his family only acted that way to stay alive. If they didn't Voldemort would have had them for toast by now.

"It doesn't. The name is just becoming habit with her now. Besides she can be annoying." He explained. Blaise nodded understanding.

"So where do you suppose we start our search for Mia?" Blaise asked, his insides tearing as he said his sister's name. Draco shrugged.

"Well if she is a Zabini you had better hope she is either a Slytherin or perhaps Gryffindor." He answered. Blaise's eyes nearly popped out.

"Gryffindor?" He asked shocked. Draco nodded.

"Well there is only a 25% chance she is in Slytherin. All we know is that she has the necklace and more than likely goes to Hogwarts. I doubt any Zabini would ever be in Hufflepuff. That house is only for the dunderheads. Then there is Ravenclaw. Although that house is smart I just don't get the feeling she is there. Although all of the Gryffindors are incredibly annoying, they are better than the other two houses you gotta admit, even if they are our rivals. Although I doubt she is Gryffindor anyway. Let's just hope she's a Slytherin. And hope to merlin it's not Parkinson." He shuddered. Almost as if on cue a voice screeched. Blaise snorted.

In The Great Hall

At long last the students of Hogwarts reached their destination. Everyone was seated ready for the sorting to begin. First to be sorted was Greg Adams who was made a Ravenclaw. The sorting had proceeded to sort the rest of the children until at last Teri White was sorted into Gryffindor. At long last the food appeared on the tables. Hermione silently ate her food as her friends were either busy scoffing their faces or endlessly talking about Quidditch. No longer than forty-five minutes later, Dumbledore stood up to signal the end of the feast and start of his speech. The hall silenced at once. Dumbledore smiled around his pupils.

"Welcome to our new pupils and welcome back to the others. I would just like to say that the Forbidden Forest is still out of bounds to all pupils. Also Mr Filch has asked me to remind you that Fanged Frisbees and any Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes products are strictly banned. For a full list of the banned items list please see Mr Filch. I believe the number has now reached a whopping seven thousand, two hundred and ninety five items. Also please welcome our new Defence Against the Dark Arts Teacher Professor Tonks."

A loud round of applause could be heard but quickly died down as Dumbledore continued.

"This years heads are Daphne Brown and Robert Perk. I would like to announce that we are also starting a new system this year. Junior heads will be picked also, obviously from the 6th years. They will have a better authorities than prefects but not as much as the actual heads. Please give a round of applause for Miss. Hermione Granger and Mr. Draco Malfoy."

A loud round of applause could be heard for them both. Hermione looked absolutely flabbergasted.

"Please stay behind Mr. Malfoy and Miss. Granger with a chosen friend. Goodnight everyone."

Everyone began to scramble out of the hall. Hermione grabbed Ginny's wrist and hissed in her ear.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"To the dorm." She answered. Hermione snorted.

"Nope, you're staying with me. I've gotta pick a chosen friend remember?"

"Aww, I'm flattered. I thought you would have chosen Harry or Ron."

Hermione snorted and walked with Ginny up to Dumbledore where Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini were waiting. Dumbledore smiled at the four students before him.

"Well I guess this came as a bit of a shock to all of you?" He asked. The four nodded at him.

"Well this year the staff and I agreed that we should have Junior heads who get their own common room to share. It sounded great until we heard the candidates. Considering that the two junior heads do not get on well we decided they could choose a friend to also stay with them."

The four looked up at their headmaster increduously. He really had lost his marbles this time. No doubt about it that was for sure. He gestured for the four to follow him out of the hall. They all followed without a word. They walked for a good half hour silently before Dumbledore stopped outside a potrait of a young girl about the age of 8.

"Password?" She asked politely. Dumbledore smiled at her warmly.

"I like fluffy pink bunny rabbits." He said proudly. Blaise and Draco both choked on the air whilst Ginny and Hermione lapsed into a silent fit of giggles. Dumbledore chuckled.

"The password can be changed once a month."

And with that he disappeared along the corridor. Malfoy went to walk through the potrait to walk straight into it. He cursed as he fell backwards again as Ginny and Hermione laughed even harder. Blaise snorted and Malfoy looked murderous. He looked up at the girl in the painting who giggled lightly.

"Sorry. I only stay open for a maximum of ten seconds unless someone is going through at the time. Password?"

Malfoy gaped at her. He couldn't believe it.

"One of you two can say the password cause I sure as hell ain't." He said gesturing at the girls. Hermione shook her head and looked at Ginny, still giggling.

"I can't seem to remember the password Ginny. Can you?" She asked laughing. Ginny shook her head mischieviously.

"Nope sorry ferret. We can't seem to remember. Looks like one of you two will need to get us in there."

Malfoy and Blaise looked at each other.

"You can say it dude. I always thought you were more in touch with your feminine side." Blaise said. Hermione and Ginny started to laugh more loudly. Malfoy gaped at his so called best friend.

"I seem to remember that you were the one who used to put on your mums lipstick up until you were seven." He said. Blaise blushed as Hermione collapsed into Ginnys arms from laughing so hard. Malfoy smirked.

"You swore you would never tell! Well you were the one who used to parade around your Manor in your mothers red bikinis and stilettos claiming you were Miss England. You even made yourself a pink sashy!"

Ginny dropped Hermione and fell to the ground aswell from laughing. Both were lying down clutching their sides.

"Oh yah and remember that time..." Blaise continued smirking.

"OKAY OKAY, I'll say the damn password." Malfoy said drowning Blaise out. He turned back to the painting of the little girl who was also hysterical from laughing.

"Ilikefluffypinkbunnyrabbits." He mumbled so that it was inaudible.

"I'm sorry I can't hear you." the little girl said.

"I like fluffy pink bunny rabbits." He said a little bit more loudly. The girl stuck a finger in her ear and twisted and pulled it out.

"I'm sorry sir I still can't hear-"

"Really Mister Malfoy, I'm sure you love them but no need to shout it to the school."

Malfoy whirled around to see Professor Snape behind him. His face flushed bright red as Hermione, Ginny and Blaise all fell about laughing. Snape smirked.

"Now Mister Malfoy and co. I suggest you get into your new living quarters before I dock points. Good night."

Malfoy growled and turned back to the potrait which to his surprise was still opened.

"You..." he started.

"I was kidding about the ten second thing before." The little girl said laughing. Malfoy growled and stormed into the common room closely followed by a still laughing Blaise, Hermione and Ginny. They all looked around the common room. There was no denying it must be the most beautiful room in the entire school. Well maybe except for the Room of Requirement. It was based on golds and green which really did make a great combination. It was really large with big gold and green padded armchairs and sofas with big mahogany work tables, a private library and doors leading to various rooms. It even had doors which lead straight into the four common rooms of the four houses. By the looks of it, there was two to a room because engraved above one was Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley and the other read Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini. Ginny lead Hermione to one side of the common room whilst Blaise and Draco stayed on the other. As far away from the other pair as possible. When Malfoy was sure that the other pair couldn't hear him he started to speak to Blaise really quietly.

"I say we prank them both." He whispered quietly to Blaise. Blaise cast him an odd look before he continued.

"It's usually seventh years that have the prank war but now that I'm junior head I say we have one now." he explained. Blaise nodded understandingly.

"Yeah but won't we get in trouble?" Blaise asked unsure.

"By McGonagall yeah but the other teachers will probably find it amusing."

Blaise nodded. "So what's the plan then?"

"Well you see I was thinking..."

Meanwhile at the Other End of the Common Room

"Malfoy looks like he's up to something. And he looks happy about it. That can't be good." Ginny stated. Hermione looked over and realised that Ginny was right. Malfoy did look like he was up to an evil deed.

"I wouldn't worry about it. It's next year we gotta watch out. You know with the Prank War and all."

Ginny nodded. A few moments later she and Hermione went up into their dorm so that they had a little more privacy. It was just like the common room but with beds. After a few minutes Ginny decided to bring something up that had really been bugging her.

"Hermione, did something happen this summer? You seem a bit different. Not in a bad way or anything. You just seem to have a slight more carefree attitude. I've been asking you to be more laid back for years. Why the sudden change?"

Hermione looked down at her feet. It was true that she had changed since finding out about her adoption but she didn't think it would be noticable. She didn't even really know why she had changed that little bit. She wondered if she should tell Ginny about the adoption or not. She eventually decided it would be ok to tell one person. Besides she needed to get it off of her chest.

"Well there's just the little fact that I found out I'm adopted." She said meekly. Ginny nearly fainted.

"WHAT?!?!" Ginny screamed.

"Shhh." Hermione whispered frantically before putting about a million silencing charms around her room.

"Ok so here is what happened..."

After finishing her story Ginny was left staring at her in awe. She then jumped up to hug her best friend.

Back to Blaise and Draco

"Draco have you gone flipping mad?" Blaise hissed. Malfoy chuckled. He had just explained to Blaise his plan for the prank. Frankly Blaise thought he was out of his mind.

"I think it's a good idea." Malfoy stated backing up his idea. Blaise stared at him like he had three heads.

"Yeah it's a good plan if 1. You want to be on Weasley and Grangers hitlist 2. If you want to be beaten to a pulp Potter and the male Weasley 3. If you want to live in the same common room that someone wants to kill you and 4. If you want the whole of the Gryffindor house grilling your ass."

Malfoy laughed.

"Well 1. I think I'm already number one on their hitlist. Well maybe 2 actually, I think Voldie beat me to that one. Although if we do this prank I might just beat him to it. 2. That wouldn't be unusual 3. Granger already wants me dead I think and 4. They all hate my blood anyway. I'm doing it no matter what you say. Are you in on it?"

Blaise bit his lip nervously. "Oh alright. I swear if they two come after me it won't just be the Gryffindors grilling your ass."

Malfoy laughed as they began to discuss how they would actually manage it.

2 AM

"I can't believe we did it." Malfoy said excitedly as he and Blaise stood outside their potrait door. "They should be waking up in about six hours. Just as everyone passes that way for breakfast."

Blaise laughed.

"Password?" the little girl in the painting asked. Blaise looked at Draco and burst out laughing. Draco grunted unhappily.

Chapter 4: Humiliation
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Author's Note - Hello everyone, I hope you like this 4th installment of my story. I am proud to say I am actually working on chapter 9 at the moment so you don't need to worry about me not updating for a while. Most of you have been asking me just to post them all at once. Sorry but it would take the fun out of it for me. See, if I were to post them all people would only review the last chapter not bothering about the other ones, obviously because they just want to get on with the story. I'd just rather get about a minimum of 10 reviews per chapter. The more I get the quicker I update usually. Anyway, I'm glad most of you found my last chapter amusing. And by the way Tina, aren't you in America or wherever you are going yet? Well I hope you are having fun and hope you have better weather lol. Ciao xxx.

Disclaimer - Yeah I own Harry Potter. Uh does anyone actually believe me? I don't think so, so what is the point in writing these stupid things. For the record I DO NOT own Harry Potter incase some gullible lawyer or whatever is reading.

September 2nd - First Day of Classes

Hermione woke up expecting to feel the comfort and warmth of her fabulous queen sized bed across the room from Ginny. Well let's just say she did not get what she expected. She was cold, highly uncomfortable and definitely not in her dorm room. She glanced around quickly and learnt that she was in a confined space. She looked at her body somewhat expecting her duvet cover. Alas! She only had a very short towel covering the places which girls need covered most. And that wasn't all. She was only wearing a watch other than the towel. She gasped. She glanced to her right as she heard a soft moan. Ginny. In the exact same position she was in. Sighing slightly she moved her left arm to shake Ginny lightly careful not to disturb either of the towels. As she shook her, Ginny let out another soft moan and was about to roll onto her side. The towel surely wouldn't be big enough.

"GINNY! Don't move!" Hermione shrieked highly alarmed. Ginny rooted to the spot and snapped her eyes open. She went through nearly the same procedure as Hermione gasping at all the same points.

"How do you suppose we get up?" Hermione asked nervously. Ginny glanced at her.

"How about we turn away and get up quickly to cover ourselves?" She suggested. Hermione nodded in agreement as she turned over and got to her feet. Quickly she wrapped the towel around herself tightly. To her dismay it did reveal alot of flesh. It only just covered where it needed to. Ginny had the same look upon her face before it quickly turned to anger.

"I told you Malfoy and Blaise were up to know good." She said gritting her teeth. Hermione looked at her watch.

"Well it is 7:50 AM at the moment. People won't be leaving for breakfast for about another ten minutes. We can make a quick escape now and grill Malfoy and Zabini's ass after we have changed." She suggested. Ginny looked flabbergasted.

"You're actually gonna walk through Hogwarts in nothing but a towel?" She asked amazed. Hermione nodded.

"Well what do you suppose we do? I am not missing first day of classes because of those two and I don't think I want to freeze to death in here. The gits didn't even leave us wands or clothes." Hermione said angrily.

"But I've not even done my hair!" Ginny wailed. Hermione gaped at her as though she had three heads.

"You are worried about your hair at a time like this?"

Ginny shrugged sheepishly. On Hermione's cue they both slipped from what they discovered was a broom closet and started to rush through the corridors praying that no one saw them. When they were one corridor away from their common room Ginny stopped dead in her tracks closely followed by Hermione. Not far ahead of them was a fairly large crowd heading their way. They looked mostly like Gryffindors and Slytherins.

"Crap." Ginny whispered. "We can't even turn back. The corridor is too long."

Hermione gulped. Harry and Ron might be in that crowd. The last thing she needed was them seeing her like this.

"It looks like we are going to have to face public humiliation." Hermione whispered. Ginny nodded, silently vowing to kick Malfoy and Blaise's sorry asses the second they set foot in the common room. Hermione and her both stepped forward as quickly as they could trying to ignore the many people in front of the crowd pointing and staring at the two girls in very revealing towels. As they quickened their pace, wolf whistles could be heard. Some people were laughing whilst others were shouting compliments to their bodies. Hermione and Ginny began to walk even faster and more red faced than ever when a few people started running forwards. She quickly recognised them to be Harry, Ron, Neville, Luna and Seamus.

"What the hell?" Ron whispered angrily. Hermione gave him a look of 'we will explain once we are out of this mess.' She and Ginny began to walk up to the potrait as they distantly heard Luna saying 'I should start that as a fashion. It would look great with green hair.' Once the crowd had passed and the wolf whistles could no longer be heard Hermione looked up at the painting.

"I like fluffy pink bunny rabbits." She hissed. The portrait swung open to reveal their common room and Blaise and Malfoy at the other end not looking in that direction. They didn't seem to have noticed that anyone had entered.

"YOU!!!" Hermione screeched causing both boys to whirl around and do a double take before collapsing to the ground in laughter. Odd, Hermione thought. She hadn't ever seen Malfoy laugh. Slimy git.

"You look um... different. Did you do something with your hair?" Malfoy asked in a fake polite tone trying to choke back his laughter. Ginny let out an ear splitting shriek causing both boys to cover their ears.

"We don't have our wands so transfigure us into clothes." Ginny said through gritted teeth. Blaise snorted whilst Malfoy smirked.

"And why should we?" Malfoy asked mischievously. Hermione's eyes turned into slits and flashed black again.

"NOW!!!" She roared in a voice did not sound like hers. Malfoy sighed and transfigured them into jeans and a tank top. Hermione and Ginny both looked at themselves in satisfaction before Ginny looked back up at both of the culprits.

"It was his idea." Blaise said pointing to Malfoy.

"I DON'T CARE WHOSE FLIPPING IDEA IT WAS. I SWEAR IT, THIS ISN'T OVER YET. JUST YOU WAIT." Hermione screamed before storming back out of the common room with Ginny.

"I told you this was a bad idea." Blaise said as he dropped his head into his hands.

In The Great Hall

Whispers and rumors were flying around the hall like wildfire. 'Did you hear about those two girls? Apparently they were coming back from a nude model shoot for the Quibbler' or 'I heard from a reliable source that the girls were in fact patrolling for exhibitionists' or even 'I heard they were coming back with a 'top secret' meeting with Snape!'. No matter what all the rumors were ridiculous. As Ginny and Hermione entered the hall the whispers grew even louder and some were rude enough to point. Trying their best to ignore it they took up their usual seats beside Harry and Ron. Ron glared at the pair of them.

"So what's this about you two doing nude photo shoots eh?" He spat. Hermione and Ginny looked at each other flabbergasted. They hadn't yet heard any of the rumors.

"Ron you-" Ginny started but was cut off by Ron.

"What would mum say? Her only daughter. And that." He said jerking his head towards Hermione. "Slutting around naked in front of a photographer."

SMACK! The whole of the great hall had just witnessed goody two shoes Hermione Granger smack her best friend around the face.

"Don't you dare." She said in a deadly whisper. "Don't you dare accuse me wrongly of strutting around naked as if I enjoyed it. These rumors Ron. You believe them? No biggie there I suppose. You believed the rumors that Harry had entered the tri-wizard tournament himself because of what everyone else said. We didn't do what we did this morning because we wanted to. We did it because Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini transported us into a broom closet last night whilst we were asleep and left us with nothing but a towel. You should know the rest."

With that Hermione rose dramatically and left an extremely silent great hall and a very sore faced, guilty feeling Ron Weasley. Ginny stood up clutching her goblet of pumpkin juice. She threw it in Ron's face and left the hall just as dramatically as Hermione had. The second she had left the hall it started to buzz with excitement. Harry looked at Ron pitifully.

"I did tell you to listen to their side of the story first mate."

At the Teachers Table

"Albus, did you just see what I did?" Minerva McGonagall asked in a shocked tone. Albus grinned and nodded.

"I sure did Minerva. Rather entertaining don't you think?" He asked dipping a Pringle, a muggle crisp he was rather fond of, into a dip called Salsa.

"Entertaining? Something should be done to stop them immediately." Minerva scolded. Albus shook his head.

"Leave them be Minerva. It never does do well to interfere with the students. Pringle?"

Back With Hermione and Ginny

"Can you believe the nerve of him?" Hermione asked increduously. Ginny shook her head.

"He had no idea what he was talking about. No doubt he will apologise sooner or later."

Almost as if on cue a voice could be heard calling the girls name. To their surprise it was both Ron and Harry darting their way.

"Wait up!" Ron called out of breath. Both girls stood rooted to the spot until the two reached them panting heavily.

"I just wanted to apologise you know, for accusing you both wrongly. I just really care about you both and do NOT want you doing nude photoshoots." Ron said extremely quickly. Hermione and Ginny both nodded stiffly to show their forgiveness. Harry looked at them both before asking the question that had been annoying him since the Great Hall incident.

"So you said Malfoy and Zabini did this to you guys?" He asked curiously. Hermione nodded.

"Wait till I get the little..." Ron started. Hermione shook her head.

"Don't worry you guys. We have everything under control. We don't need bodygaurds. We are already thinking for a plan of revenge. We're just about to go to the common room now."

Harry and Ron both nodded and left the girls reluctantly. Both Hermione and Ginny grinned at each other as they walked to their common rooms arms linked.

A Short 10 Minutes Later

Thankfully neither Malfoy or Blaise were in the common room when Hermione and Ginny both returned. They both sat sat where Blaise and Malfoy had been sitting no longer than a half hour ago. Hermione was scribbling down useful incantations whilst Ginny was reading up on an appearance alternating book to try a completely unique prank. Hermione, after lots of scoring and rubbing out had finished writing the incantations and order for them all. She showed them to Ginny who smiled broadly.

"This is going to be great." Ginny stated after she had finished reading Hermione's parchment. "But when do we strike."

"Well I was thinking that they are probably expecting us to seek revenge so they will assume we will attack at night. Therefore we should attack during the day. Quietly of course so they won't know anything is wrong until they either see themselves or somebody tells them." Hermione said thoughtfully. Ginny nodded.

"I guess that would work but they would probably refuse to go to class. They don't care about schoolwork like we do."

"Good point. I suppose I can attempt to get them a detention. Hopefully during lunch time or something. You know when everyone is around."

Ginny nodded again. That would be a rather good idea. Besides it wasn't as if the boys would expect anything. It was definetly a good plan in her opinion.

Chapter 5: Sweet Revenge
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Author's Note - Hiya everyone and thank you very much for the kind reviews. I'm so sorry I took longer than usual to update but a few things happened and held me up. For the record, I have already written the chapter where Blaise and Hermione find out but it's not for a bit yet. About the romance also, it won't be happening for a bit either. I don't want to rush it and make it seem unrealistic. Sorry! Well hope you enjoy the story and feel free to leave a review if you wish. Ciao xxx.

Disclaimer - I do not own Harry Potter. If I did then why would I write that I didn't?

September 2nd - 2nd Class

Hermione sauntered down to her Care of Magical Creatures class. She had her whole plan worked out. She had not planned to do it so soon but she was really excited. Ginny didn't exactly object either. Half of the class was already there by the time she arrived. She greeted her friend/professor with a warm smile. Usually Hermione would stand right at the front of the crowd. Not today though. Although it wasn't a good choice of words she really did need to be close to Malfoy and Zabini. She tucked her necklace which she had retrieved from her drawer under her tank top. She turned around as she heard voices approaching the growing class. Like usual it was Malfoy and Zabini. Always the ones to turn up late for class. They took up their usual positions at the back of class rather close to Hermione.

"Today class, yir gonna be studyin unciorns." Hagrid announced. It was at this point Hermione tuned out of what Hagrid was saying. She took a side glance at Malfoy and Zabini. Neither were paying attention. Both looked clearly bored. Hermione was actually surprised they hadn't already started taunting her.

"Hey Granger." Malfoy whispered. Hermione turned around inwardly smirking.

"Yes?" she asked in a fake timid voice. Malfoy smirked. Blaise snorted.

"Why the hell are you back here when you could be giving your know it all answers up front."

Hermione put a mock hurt expression on her face.

"In case it hasn't occurred to you Malfoy I can stand wherever I wish."

"No Mudblood can stand near me."

This is my chance, Hermione thought to herself. She crossed her arms across her chest with her underarm pointing at Malfoys shoes. She muttered something out the side of her lip making Malfoy think she had mumbled something about him.

"Don't you mumble under your breath at me." he snarled taking a step forward. Before he knew it he was face flat on the ground. Hermione quickly muttered the counter spell so that she left no evidence. Malfoy looked up at her loathingly. Thankfully nobody had noticed what had just happened. If they had they would have noticed a Malfoy at the feet of a Granger on his hands and knees.

"You filthy Mudblood." Malfoy spat a little louder than he had intended to. Hermione gasped and everyone including Hagrid turned around to look at the pair, Malfoy still on his hands and knees. Hermione's eyes began to fill with tears. Inside she was bursting with joy. Man she was a good actress. Malfoy looked at Hermione in shock. She never usually bothered so much to tear up at an insult.

"Wha' was tha' yer called Miss Granger, Mr Malfoy?" Hagrid asked grinding his teeth. Hermione looked up at Hagrid tearfully.

"He called me a Mudblood sir." she choked. Hagrid narrowed his eyes at Malfoy.

"Detention tonigh' Malfoy at 7PM."

"With all due respect Professor, I was planning on having a meeting at that time and Malfoy being junior head unfortunately has to be there. Do you think you could reschedule?" Hermione asked with her bottom lip quivering. Hagrid nodded.

"No problem. Detention Malfoy. Lunchtime."

"B...But Blaise was in on it." Malfoy said hurriedly.

"Alrigh'. Zabini detention at lunchtime also. Class dismissed."

Blaise gaped at Draco who smirked and then looked up at Hermione. To his shock there was no trace of tears or...anything. She gave him a mischievous grin and the to his shock...winked! He would get her back. Definitely.

In History of Magic

Blaise threw a ball of parchment at Malfoy who caught it swiftly thanks to his seeker reflexes. He opened it up and read it quickly.

I can't believe you dragged me into that detention with you. You are such a prat.

Malfoy smirked and wrote a response and threw the ball back to Blaise. He opened it to read.

Well I wasn't going with him to do detention on my own. I can't believe Granger though. What she did was so Slytherin-like. - Malfoy.

Blaise chuckled and wrote a response quickly before throwing it back across the room. Malfoy once again caught it.

Whatever. That was the best she could do? She is sly though. - Blaise.

Malfoy laughed. He had to admit that Grangers revenge was very pitiful. If only he knew what was to come.

Hermione and Ginny hid behind a statue as Malfoy and Zabini passed them to get their dinner quickly before detention. They whispered all of the incantations and sniggered as they closely followed behind the two boys. They hadn't noticed yet. Everyone started to point and laugh at Malfoy and Blaise. Both furrowed their brows in confusion and turned to look at each other. They both screamed at what they saw. Both of them had gold hair with Potter written in it in red. Their robes were red and gold (Gryffindor colours) with 'Potters No. 1 Fan' Written across the back in rainbow colours. Everything about them was Gryffindor. The whole hall was in hysterics including the teachers. Both of the boys whirled around on the spot to face Hermione and Ginny who were both laughing madly. Both of them stalked out of the hall and headed for their detention as quickly as possible.

Common Room - After Classes

Hermione and Ginny were both sitting in the common room when they heard a roar from outside. A murderous looking Blaise and Draco burst through the portrait and stood side by side giving the two girls killer looks.

"WHAT THE HELL!" Blaise roared. Hermione snickered. The spell still had not worn off. They were now thought to be the biggest Potter fans in history.

"You look different. Did you guys do something to your hair?" Hermione asked mockingly. Malfoys eyes turned to slits.

"Change us back." Malfoy growled.

"Now why should we?" Ginny asked thoughtfully.

"NOW!" Blaise roared as his eyes flashed black. With a flick of her wand Hermione transfigured them back to their original colours, hair and clothing.

"I say no more pranks at all." Ginny said. The other three grumbled in agreement. Hermione walked over to the large mahogany table and sat down by it.

"You guys, we need to talk." she announced wearily. The three shot Hermione an odd look before sitting around the table also.

"This better be good." Malfoy grumbled. Hermione shot him a glare and he instantly shut up.

"It doesn't seem as if this years actual heads and prefects are very active. I say we should hold some sort of thing to open the year."

"Like what?" Blaise asked.

"I was thinking of a talent show. We could get two teachers to team up and do auditions. We can say 10 acts maximum." Hermione said. Blaise nodded. Malfoy grunted in agreement and Ginny beamed.

"So who could we get to hold the auditions?" Malfoy asked.

"How about Snape and McGonagall?" Ginny suggested. The other three nodded in agreement as Hermione wrote all of the information down.

"Each head of house and Dumbledore could be the talent show judges." Blaise suggested. Once again Hermione scribbled the information down.

"First prize could be... 30 galleons?" Malfoy suggested.

"And second could be a... 10 galleon voucher for Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes. I could contact my brothers for them." Ginny added.

"And third place could be a free round of 5 butter beers for them and friends at The Three Broomsticks." Blaise said. Hermione nodded taking this all down in notes.

"Ok, so I'll hand this to Dumbledore. Wait what date will we hold it?"

"How about September 24th?" Blaise suggested. Everyone nodded.

"Me and Ginny will take care of fliers. That's all."

Blaise and Malfoy both got up from their chairs slightly surprised at how smoothly everything had gone. They both headed towards their common room. Once they got inside they noticed that there was a large crate on Malfoys bed. A gift from his father. It was none less than a large crate of firewhiskys. Malfoy looked at Blaise with a grin on his face.

"How about we ask Granger and Weasley for a game of I-Never?"

Chapter 6: I-Never
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Author's Note - Hiya everyone. I'm so so sorry about the delay of updating but I am so busy with school and everything. I've got so much coursework and homework, I need to spend a little time with my friends plus I am getting ready for a hectic holiday. After this I won't be able to update until October because I'm going on holiday. I hope you all enjoy this chapter. Ciao xxx.

Chapter 6 - I-Never

Hermione and Ginny were just about to go to their common room when Blaise opened his and Malfoys door. Hermione looked across at him questioningly.

"You guys wanna play I-Never?" he asked. Ginny grinned but then frowned again.

"Don't you need alcohol to play that?" she asked. Blaise nodded.

"We've got some."

Ginny nodded enthusiastically. Hermione looked at her confused. Ginny gave her a look saying 'I'll explain in a minute' and turned back to face Blaise.

"You playing in your room or out here?" she asked.

"In the room."

Hermione followed Ginny as they went inside the boys dormitory. It was pretty much the same as the girls dorm except more green. Hermione looked over to the corner of the room where Malfoy was unloading what looked like a very large crate of fire whiskeys. Hermione gulped. She didn't like where this was going. Maybe she could back out. Hermione threw the idea away. Like Ginny would let her back out.

"Would somebody please tell me what on earth I-Never is?" Hermione asked nervously. She didn't know if she wanted to know the answer to that. Blaise looked up at her.

"Well we each get a bottle of fire whiskey and say I started the game. I would say something like 'I never kissed someone of the same sex' anyone who had would have to take a drink of the fire whiskey. If I had actually lied and had kissed someone of the same sex I would also have to take a drink. No questions can be asked during the game. Got it?"

Hermione nodded. The game sounded fun. So long as she didn't get drunk. After Malfoy had finished unloading the crate he passed everyone a bottle of fire whiskey.

"Ok, to save us all standing we can sit on my bed." Malfoy said. Everyone nodded and sat in a sort of circle on the bed. Hermione was in between Malfoy and Blaise and opposite Ginny.

"Who's starting?" Hermione asked.

"I will." Malfoy said. "I never... spoke behind a friends back."

Hermione and Ginny frowned at each other and took a drink of their whiskey. Malfoy and Blaise both smirked. Malfoy gestured that it was Hermione's turn.

"I never... fancied Snape."

"Yeah like anyone would fancy hi-" Blaise said but cut off when he saw Ginny take a gulp of her fire whiskey before glaring at Hermione who smirked. Blaise and Malfoy's jaw dropped.

"Ewwwwwww." they said in unison.

"I never... snogged someone of the same sex." Blaise said. Malfoy laughed. Hermione and Ginny both downed a gulp of fire whiskey earning a look of awe from Blaise.

"I never... used to play dollies." Ginny said. To Hermione and Ginny's astonishment both Malfoy and Blaise gulped a drink looking rather red faced.

10 Bottles of Fire Whiskey Later

"Jeesh, those girls can sure drink." Malfoy commented. He and Blaise had a high alcohol tolerance and were drunk but not too drunk to pass out. The girls unfortunately were both passed out on Malfoy's bed completely drunk. Blaise nodded in agreement.

"What should we do with them?" he asked. Malfoy shrugged. "Well I could conjure up another bed but that would only make three. There wouldn't be enough room for four and there is no way I am carrying them through to their dorm."

"Well you can share with one of them." Blaise said.

Malfoy conjured up a bed and placed the Weaslette on it. He didn't know why but if he had to share a bed with either of the girls he would rather it was Granger. He magicked a pair of pajamas onto Hermione and got changed into his boxers. Yawning, he climbed into bed knowing he was going to have a hangover the next day.

September 3rd - Morning After 8:45 AM

Hermione woke up the next morning with a very sore head. She squinted her eyes to take in the scenery around her before she realised she wasn't in her own dorm. She cursed inside her head. What time was it anyway, she wondered. She looked down at her watch. It took a few seconds for the constant blur to make sense to her. 8:45! Classes started in 15 minutes! She turned over ready to wake everyone up when a very crazy site met her eye.

Malfoy, Blaise and Ginny all woke up with a start, each one with a pounding headache. Ginny squinted around and had to stiffle a giggle at the scene before her. She looked over at Blaise who also had a look of amusement on his face. Ginny turned her head back to Hermione and Malfoy. Hermione was sitting up boltright in horror whilst Malfoy was lying next to her trying to wake up.

"Jeesh Granger, no one asked for a wake up call." he grumbled sleepily, Hermione glared at him angrily.

"WHY THE HELL AM I IN YOUR BED?" she roared. Malfoy shrugged.

"You were the one who fell asleep here."

"I seem to remember that Ginny did aswell, but what has she got? HER OWN FLIPPIN BED!"

"Well there was only room for one extra bed and I was pretty smashed myself so I couldn't carry you both onto the bed let alone make an incantation and Blaise probably wouldn't have helped."

Hermione glared at him. She looked at her watch again. 8:50. She screamed again causing the other three to jump.

"Classes start in 5 minutes. I don't know about you Ginny but we have Snape and he's gonna dock about 50 points from me for being late!"

20 Minutes Later

"I'm gonna kill you two I swear it." Hermione snarled as they hurried down to the dungeons. Ginny had already left to go to her Divination class. Malfoy and Blaise both rose an eyebrow at Hermione.

"Why exactly?" Blaise asked. Hermione snorted.

"First you pranked me and Ginny for no reason and totally humiliated us." she started. Both of the boys snorted. "Then you get Ginny obsessed with wanting to play a crazy game ending up with me waking up in YOUR bed." she said glaring at Malfoy. "And then to top it off I'm 15 minutes late for SNAPE'S class. He's gonna kill me." she finished. Both of the boys rolled their eyes. They finally reached the classroom all in all being 20 minutes late. They all walked in, Hermione with her head down. Snape sneered as he watched the three walk in smelling slightly of fire whiskey. He had to admit it was no shock to see Malfoy and Blaise in that situation but Hermione Granger!

"10 points from Gryffindor for tardiness. I would have expected better from you Miss Granger."

Hermione ignored him as she made her way to her usual seat beside Ron. He eyed her suspiciously. She shook her head slightly as she sat down and Snape proceeded to teach the class.

"'Mione, what the hell! Have you been drinking? You smell of fire whiskey." Ron asked slightly shocked.

"I'll explain later." she whispered back.

"You've changed 'Mione. Something has happened that you're not telling us."

Hermione looked at Ron slightly alarmed. She shook her head and turned her attention back to Snape who was now pairing people off to work on potions. Unfortunately it was Gryffindor/Slytherin pairings. The first three pairs were Ron and Crabbe, then Lavender and Milicent then Seamus and Goyle. Much to Hermione's dismay she was partnered with Pansy Parkinson. She cursed silently as she moved her items to Pansy's desk. Pansy looked at her and curled her lip into a sneer.

"Don't put your stuff near mine. I don't want any Mudblood germs." Pansy snarled. Hermione glared at her.

"Shut it Pansy. I'm not in the mood." Hermione said in a tired tone. She had a thumping headache. The last thing she needed was to argue with Pansy.

"Today class you will be making the Polyjuice Potion. I expect a sample of the first stage by the end of class. You may start now." Snape ordered before disappearing behind a large stack of paperwork it seemed he was marking. Hermione left her and Pansy's table to go and collect the ingredients for the Polyjuice Potion. Luckily it wouldn't be any bother for her considering she had already made it when she was a mere twelve year old. Sighing, she looked over to Harry's desk where he was partnered with a boy Hermione didn't know very well. His name was Theodore Nott or something. She then looked over to Ron who was partnered with Crabbe. She inwardly laughed at the hell each of them must be going through to be partnered with each other. She turned from the ingredients cupboard and made her way back to the desk she and Pansy were sharing. Hermione wrinkled her nose in disgust as Pansy sat admiring herself in a pocket mirror.

"Pansy if you are not going to put any effort into this potion you can leave the sodding class because I am not doing it all for you." Hermione said in an annoyed voice. Pansy smirked.

"And why should I work for you?"

"Because if you don't put an ounce of work into this neither will I, and if neither of us have a potion to produce to Snape it's not just me that fails remember."

Pansy's smirk faded. If her father ever caught wind of her failing something in school she would be in serious trouble.

"Fine, I'll prepare the ingredients, you make the actual potion. You wouldn't want me accidently screwing up big time would you?"

Hermione shook her head merrily and pointed to the ingredients gesturing Pansy to start. Scowling Pansy picked up a carving knife and got to work. Hermione smiled. Eventually she had shown that dunderhead that she was not going to be walked all over this year. Ron was right. She had changed. Hermione didn't even understand why. She hadn't even really noticed herself. Well there was a Hogsmeade trip at the weekend. Maybe she could rearrange her wardrobe a bit. She could ask her parents for her birthday money a little earlier this year. They wouldn't mind. She could also give herself a few adjustments with it. She had to admit she was getting a bit bored with her look. Shaking the thought from her mind for a minute, she turned to look at Pansy who just finished with the ingredients. To Hermione's surprise, she had done a pretty good job of cutting them into accurate sizes.

"Don't look shocked Granger. You may seem the brightest witch ever but just remember that not everyone flaunts it. You would be surprised." Pansy said almost civilly. Almost. Hermione chose to ignore her and started on the potion. Once she had finished a good 15 minutes before the end of the class and given her vial to Snape, she sat down and started to fiddle with her nails.

"You know Granger, if I ever find out you try to steal my Drakie, I will personally make your life a living hell." Pansy snarled unexpectedly. Hermione looked up startled.

"What on earth would make you think that I want him?"

"I don't know. Something has changed about you this year mudblood and I don't know what. You smell of alchohol and so does he and Blaise. Last year you would never have touched anything that contained alchohol let alone in the company of Draco Malfoy. Just take this as a warning."

Hermione made to make a retort but was cut off by the school bell signaling the dismission of a class. Huffing she gathered up her belongings and left the class not even bothering to wait for Harry or Ron.

Chapter 7: Letters

Author’s Note - Hello everyone. I am incredibly sorry for the delay in updating. All of my chapters that were saved to my computer have been deleted and I have to write them all over again so updating may take a little bit longer than usual. Also I have been really stressed out with some things. I will try to update again as soon as possible. Until then. Ciao xxx.

Chapter 7

Hermione sat down at the lunch table after a tiring lesson of Transfiguration. Everyone had to attempt to change a frog into a chocolate bar. It may have seemed easy but it was extremely difficult. Hermione had got it right to no ones surprise. The thing that had shocked most people was the fact that Pansy Parkinson had managed with ease. Hermione grabbed a plate of fried chicken as she pondered over what Pansy had said in Potions. She had said something about Hermione flaunting her brightness. The thought made Hermione cringe. Did she really flaunt it that bad? Also, she had said Hermione had changed. She was right. Hermione had changed; she just hadn't noticed it herself. She looked up and saw Harry and Ron walking up to where she was sitting. She gave them a weak smile before turning back to her chicken. Ron and Harry took a seat on either side of her.

"What's up with you 'Mione?" Ron asked curiously. Hermione looked up at him with round eyes.

"Nothing. I'm fine." She answered. Ron eyed her suspiciously.

"Something is different about you and I want to know what made you change." He said seriously. Hermione laughed lightly.

"Ron, I am still Hermione Granger. There is nothing to worry about. I'm just thinking about making a few adjustments in my life ok." She answered smiling. Ron huffed and turned to eat his food. Hermione turned to face Harry and gave him a warm smile, which was immediately returned. Hermione pulled a piece of parchment out of her bag and began writing a letter to her adoptive parents. They had said that they would still give her money this year.

Dear Mother and Father,
How are you both? I am having a great time at school. Learning something new every day. I was wondering if you would be able to send me my birthday money soon. It's just that the owl post is getting a bit hectic and it may take a few days to come through. Sorry if it's any bother.
Love Hermione xxx

Hermione read it over twice before magicking it to the owlrey to be sent off. She looked at her timetable and smiled. She had the next two lessons free. She'd probably just go up to the dorm or something. She could do with a break. She said her goodbyes to Ron and Harry and walked out of the hall. It didn't take long to walk to the dorm. Only about 10 minutes. She said the password and entered the dorm. To her surprise, Ginny was already sitting there. Hermione looked at her questioningly.

"I have next two lessons free. Unfortunately I think Malfoy and Zabini do as well. Let's just hope they don't come up here." Ginny said gesturing for Hermione to sit down opposite her. Hermione smiled and did so.

"I've finished the fliers and handed them in to Dumbledore. Auditions are on the 9th. They will be posted around the school sometime this afternoon." Ginny informed Hermione. Hermione nodded in approval. She leant forward and picked a book off the table and sat reading. Well, pretending to read actually. She was actually doing some deep thinking. All of the thoughts about her adoption were taking over her mind. She hadn't really had enough time to sit down and think about it thoroughly. Was she ever going to find her real family? Who were they? Would she even like them? Doubts started flowing through her. She put her book down and informed Ginny that she was about to take a lie down. She really needed one.

Malfoy and Zabini

Malfoy and Zabini were both in their dormitory unaware that the two girls were in the common room. Zabini was finishing off an Arithmancy assessment whilst Malfoy was lying on his bed. He had just finished his assessment and was having a chill out. His mind was on one thing in particular. The letter he had received 10 minutes ago from his father. He had walked into his dorm to find the envelope lying on his bed. He had opened it right away and started to read.

Dear Draco,
I am overjoyed to inform you that the Dark Lord is growing weaker. However this is not the reason I am writing to you. I think he suspects something about the Zabinis and us. I must ask you and Blaise to keep your acts up the best you can and act like a real Death Eater would. I know it is hard but we must do it for the safety of both families. Also please keep your eyes peeled for Mia. Her 16th should be on Tuesday.
With Love
Father x.

Malfoy had been gutted. He needed to act even more evil now? Malfoy was not the nicest person in the world even when he wasn't acting but being downright evil was very hard for him. He turned over onto his side wondering what was going to happen in the days to come.

Author's Note - Hello everyone. I'm terribly sorry about the delay but you have to understand that I am extremely busy. I will try to update at least twice every month. Monday 8th September

The whole school was buzzing with excitement. All weekend no one had talked about anything but the talent show. It was going to be a huge success. By the sounds of it the auditions were going to be packed. A lot of people were going to be disappointed because only 10 acts were going through and one opening act. Hermione was planning on entering for 1 of the 10 acts and her and Ginny had been working on an opening act together. They really hoped that they got in. They were going to be doing a dance to Christina Aguilera’s song Dirrty.

Hermione’s money from her adoptive parents and arrived in the post that morning. To her great surprise they had sent her 500 galleons. She hadn’t even expected 100. She was going to go to Hogsmeade with Ginny that afternoon as the school had the day off to prepare for the talent show. She was sitting in the common room reading a book waiting for Ginny to appear. It had only took Hermione a few minutes to get ready. She wasn’t really fussed what she looked like because on her trip to Hogsmeade was when she was officially going to change. Just at that moment Ginny appeared from the dorm grinning from ear to ear.

When Hermione and Ginny reached Hogsmeade, Hermione had no idea where to go first. So of course, Ginny being the great friend that she is dragged her into the newest muggle wear for wizards and witches clothes shop. The prices weren’t exactly cheap but affordable when you had 500 galleons to spend. Hermione bought a new pair of jeans, two mini skirts, 3 designer tops and a pair of red knee high stiletto boots. It came to a nice price of 100 galleons (that’s approximately £500). She spent another 200 galleons on clothes in various shops on shoes, a beautiful ball gown, skirts, trousers, zip-ups etc. With numerous bags, Hermione and Ginny decided to take a walk. When they passed a piercing/tattoo shop Ginny began to smile mischievously. Hermione stared at her in horror.

“No way Ginny. You have got to be kidding!” Hermione said shocked. Ginny smirked.

“Think how good you would look with a pierced belly button and a cute tattoo on your hip.” She replied. Hermione bit nervously. It couldn’t hurt that bad could it?

Hermione walked out of the tattoo shop happily. She had got her belly button pierced and a tattoo of a dagger with a rose twisted round it on her hip. It had hurt like hell but Ginny had been there holding her hand. It had only cost her 50 galleons altogether as well. Hermione decided to blow the rest of her money on handbags, belts, hair products, make up, more clothes and shoes, jewellery and bought Ginny a gorgeous bracelet. They made their way back through Hogsmeade to make their way back to Hogwarts. When they reached their common room the first thing they did was fall on to a sofa with about 30 large shopping bags surrounding them. Hermione grinned around them all. Tomorrow, everyone was going to be in for a shock. Only Hermione didn’t know how shocked. The common room door swung open and both Malfoy and Zabini strutted in. Hermione rolled her eyes. Both of them had been exceptionally mean the past few days. Odd. One day they were playing a game of I-Never, the next everything is right back to normal. Malfoy looked over to where both Ginny and Hermione sat. He noticed that they were surrounded by dozens of bags from very expensive shops. He snorted. Couldn’t have been the Weasley’s stuff. Her family could afford no such things. Must have been Granger’s.

“Hey Granger. Christmas come early? Never thought your family would be able to afford such things.” He sneered. Hermione looked up loathingly. She had just about had enough of Draco Malfoy. She only needed pushed a bit further.

“Shut your mouth Malfoy.” She snarled. Malfoy smirked.

“Why should I? So why did your parents that probably hate you buy you this stuff?” He asked. Hermione’s face crumpled. He had just said that her parents hated her. It made her mind think back to the whole adoption scenario. Her eyes filled with tears as Ginny stood up and guided her to the common room with all of the bags levitating behind her before turning around and giving Malfoy the filthiest look imaginable. Malfoy shrugged his shoulders. It wasn’t his fault if she got worked up so easy.

Author’s Note - Hiya everyone. I seem to be saying this a lot now but sorry about the delay. I’ve been really busy with school and am not well at the moment. My muscles are aching from breakdance lol. Anyway I hope you all like this chapter. This chapter is dedicated to Tina!

Tuesday 9th September

Beep Beep Beep Beep

Hermione groaned and rolled over onto her side to face the demon that had awoken her. 'Damn alarm clock', she grumbled to herself as she hit the top of it with her wrist. It stopped immediately but Hermione was far from getting back to sleep. Why the hell had she set that damned thing anyway? Like a rocket that had been prepared to set of for centuries, she bolted up in bed sitting in a poker straight position. It was her sixteenth birthday. A mound of presents at the bottom of her bed confirmed this. Suddenly forgetting the tiredness she had felt only seconds ago Hermione squealed in delight and leapt off of her bed ready to unwrap. She grabbed the first present in reach and ripped the wrapping paper off. It was a gorgeous angel locket from all of the Weasleys. She knew she would have to thank them all later for it but for now, her main focus was more presents. By the end of her opening session she had a locket, a large book called Magic in America from Harry, a box of pumpkin pasties from Hagrid, a pair of Versace black knee high boots from her Aunt Sandra and two make up sets from Lavender and Parvati.

"Hermione." A groggy voice called. Hermione turned around to look at Ginny. "Hermione is that you?" She asked looking really confused. Hermione rose one eyebrow and nodded. "Then what the hell did you do to your hair?" She asked. Hermione pulled a section of hair from the side of her face forward and gasped. Okay, so she'd had a little make over session yesterday, but there was no way on earth she had made her hair...

"BLACK RINGLETS?" Hermione half shouted surprising herself. What the hell was going on? Before Ginny could say another word Hermione had dashed off to the bathroom. It wasn't only her hair. It was her skin and eyes as well. Her skin had darkened to a golden tan and her eyes were now a deep shade of blue. If she wasn't mistaken, she had grown a few inches and certainly looked a lot curvier. What the hell was happening to her?

In The Common Room

"Happy Birthday mate." Malfoy said to Blaise. Blaise half smiled a thanks. He had been up since the small hours thinking of his long lost sister. It was her sixteenth birthday today too. Wherever she was, she'd be opening presents without her real family. It broke his heart to think about it. Did she even know she was adopted? If she were ever found would she even accept her new family? Worries filled his head and there was nothing he could do to wash them away. He looked over to Malfoy who was sitting opposite him. He looked like he was in another world. He was clearly in deep thought. As Blaise sat there wondering what Malfoy was thinking about there was quite a bit of drama in the girls dormitory going on.

Girls Dormitory

Ginny squealed in excitement as she looked at the new and improved Hermione Granger. Hermione blushed. She had put on tight low sitting jeans, which showed off her new tattoo and flat stomach. Over her jeans she had her knee high red boots on that she had bought the previous day. On her top half she had on a tight, red halter neck top which complimented all of her new curves. Along with this she had on the newest, red designer belt in the wizarding world. It was covered in glitter and had Simplicity scrawled around it, the biggest wizarding designer name. Her hair cascaded to about a quarter of the way down her back. She and Ginny had come to the conclusion that a glamour charm had been placed on her at birth. It must have only affected her hair, eyes and skin colour and obviously a few minor changes to her body. Grinning happily she opened the dormitory door to go into the common room.

"C'mon Hermione, we need to show off your new look." Ginny hissed excitedly. Hermione smirked, something that she didn't do very often. She walked down the stairs that led to the common room to see Blaise and Malfoy sitting on the couches. She sighed slightly. It looked like they wouldn't be staying in the common room anyway. The events of the day before were still fresh in her mind and probably still fresh in Malfoy's as well. 'Stupid prick.' her mind cursed. Malfoy turned around when he heard the girls' dormitory door open. As he watched the pair walk down the stairs, he widened his eyes rather surprised. Was that really Granger? What the hell had she done? She was a flipping beauty. He looked over at Blaise who looked just as surprised as he did. They both watched as Hermione and Ginny walk towards the portrait hole.

"Hey Granger! What the hell! What's with the new look? Got bored of looking like a Mudblood freak show?" Malfoy called. Hermione whirled around on her heel angrily. Her eyes narrowed and flashed black before the lamp next to her exploded. Everyone in the room jumped in fright. Hermione's eyes widened in fear as everyone else's widened in astonishment. Ginny quickly grabbed Hermione's hand and dragged her from the common room leaving two very speechless boys.

"What the hell just happened?" Malfoy asked Blaise in shock. Blaise shrugged his shoulders helplessly.

"I've no idea mate. I've no idea." He replied quietly.

"Something's not right about Granger this year. I can sense it and I'm going to find out what it is if it is the last thing I do!" Malfoy stated before getting up and walking into his dormitory.

30 Minutes Later

"So you think that I blew that lamp up?" Hermione asked Ginny for what seemed like the hundredth time. Ginny nodded in exasperation. They had been discussing Hermione's 'situation' for the last half-hour and had come to the conclusion that they should simply not think about it. They were now heading towards the Great Hall for breakfast. All of the excitement that morning had made them very hungry indeed. As they walked through the Great Hall Hermione suddenly became fully aware of the attention she was attracting. Nearly every male in the room were gawping at her and most of the girls were either in shock or shooting her looks of jealousy. Hermione looked at Ginny with an arched eyebrow. Ginny shrugged her shoulders and let out a small laugh. The silence that had overcome the hall was unbelievable. If Hermione dropped a feather you would probably hear it as though it was an almighty bang when it hit the floor. The pair both made their way to their usual seats with the clip clop of their shoes echoing throughout the school. Hermione shuddered. For some reason this whole scenario gave her the goose bumps. Thankfully, Ginny came to her rescue.

"All right everyone, nothing to see here. Let's get back to your empty lives as if nothing has happened." She called out. Slowly but surely the noise of the hall came back to life and Hermione breathed a sigh of relief as she sat opposite Harry. Both him and Ron looked at her as if waiting an explanation. Hermione gulped. It was now or never.

A Long Explanation Later

So you're adopted?" Ron asked in surprise. Hermione nodded. They were taking this a lot better than she had expected they would. They seemed more interested than angry.

"Do you know who your family is?" Harry asked in a low voice so no one else would hear. Hermione shook her head sadly. Harry looked at her sympathetically. He knew what it was like to not have known your parents personally but at least he knew who his were. Hermione didn't even know who she was, never mind her family.

"Well I'm sure you'll find out someday." He said in attempt to cheer her up. "Yeah." She muttered. "Someday."

An Hour Later

Hermione was sitting in her dormitory alone writing a letter to her adoptive parents. The whole school had a day free of lessons due to auditions for the talent show. For the first time since finding out about her adoption, Hermione was really scared. If she was able to have blown that lamp up with just a small amount of anger who knew what danger she was putting herself and others in. Maybe her adoptive parents would know more than they had let on. Well it was worth a shot, Hermione had concluded.

Dear Mother and Father,
Thank you very much for my birthday money. It really made my birthday extra special. Please thank all of the other relatives who gave me something for my birthday. The real reason I am writing to you is because I am worried. I am worried about my adoption. Do you have absolutely no idea where I am from or who I am from? I wasn’t worried about this before but it turns out there was a charm on me before to make me look less like my biological family. It only affected my hair colour, eye colour and shape. If this was all I wouldn’t be really worried. I think my power has been affected as well. Earlier today I got angry at someone and a lamp blew up. It doesn’t sound like much but I am scared it is only the beginning. What if my power strengthens and can do real damage. What if I am putting my life and other people’s at risk? Also, my friend Ginny has informed me that my eyes flash black when I am angry. I obviously have not noticed this but I was wondering if you have any additional information about my biological family so I could put my mind at rest. Maybe there is a way I could be rid of this power. Well I hope you receive this letter soon and reply as quickly as possible.
Love Always
Hermione xxx

Hermione re-read the letter twice over quickly before hastily shoving it into an envelope. She quickly scrawled Mum and Dad on the front then sent it off with her owl. She looked at her watch. She would need to start getting ready for auditions in a few hours.

In The Zabini Manor

Gabrielle Zabini looked down at the letter from her son with tears filling her eyes. It was thanking her for the presents she and Adrian had given him. It had made her feel racked with guilt that she could not have done the same for her lost daughter. She did have presents for her daughter but could only give her them once she had found her again. She read over the letter again tears spilling from her tired eyes. Adrian looked at her from the armchair he was sitting in. He too felt the stab of guilt in the pit of his stomach after reading his son’s letter of thanks. He watched as tears leaked out of his wife’s beautiful eyes. He would do anything to give her their daughter. The sound of scratching on their large window drew their attention. On the other side an owl was fluttering clutching a letter.

“That’s odd. We already got mail from Blaise.” Gabrielle stated more to herself than Adrian.

“That’s not Blaise’s owl. In fact I don’t recognize it at all.” Adrian said to her as he opened the window. The owl flew in and dropped a letter in Gabrielle’s lap. She looked at the envelope and gasped.

“To Mum and Dad.” She whispered. “It couldn’t be...”

Chapter 10: Excitement and Auditions
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Author's Note - Oh my goodness, I am so sorry everyone. (I am getting rather used to these apologies of lateness now. Oops). I would make another lame excuse as you are probably all expecting but alas: I do not have one. I am ashamed to admit that my absence has been out of pure laziness. Well I have been a bit busy but I still should have been able to write a chapter. If it wasn't for mah good friend Tina kicking me in the butt over and over I probably wouldn't have bothered. I am so glad she did (even if my butt is now red and sore). I can't believe how much I have missed this. I am so sorry for neglecting you guys. Please forgive me. I have made a website where I can let you know of the progress I am making in my chappies. It is . I don't actually know if I am allowed to give out the link but I guess I will find out soon. Oh and credit goes to Bonnie Tyler for the lyrics used in this chappie.

Disclaimer - My dream - To own all of the dvds in the world as well as owning Harry Potter. Unfortunately my dreams rarely come true and unless J K Rowling willingly hands over the rights of Harry Potter to me, I will never own it. I do hope to get those dvds though.

Zabini Manor

"IT'S HER, ADRIAN IT'S MIA!" Gabrielle screamed in delight wrapping both of her arms tightly around her husbands neck. Tears of joy seeped out of both of their eyes. Gabrielle loosened her hold on Adrian and collapsed into the armchair behind her. It was too much. How could such a small piece of parchment with a short letter on it make her so happy? Because it was Mia, she told herself. She could bearly contain her excitement.

"What do we do now?" She asked her husband breathlessly. Adrian, smiling profoundly, sat down opposite Gabrielle.

"Well we have this letter, but do we know who it is actually from? We only know that she goes by the name Hermione, she shares the same birthday as Blaise and her basic appearance. I reckon we should write to Dumbledore requesting to visit the school and tell Draco and Blaise of the news. They will then surely be able to tell us who she is."

Gabrielle nodded happily. She had waited almost 16 years to see her daughter. A couple of more hours couldn't hurt.

In The Great Hall

Hermione was walking in circles nervously like many other teenagers around her. She was in the waiting area for the auditions of the talent show. She felt sick with worry. She looked around herself. The Great Hall had been divided into two sections. On the half that Hermione was not in was the performance area. It was the waiting area. She looked around her. Everyone was staring at her. Boys, because they were gaping and girls because they were glaring. She shrugged it off and went to find Ginny. She found her in the corner of the hall, stretching.

"Hey Mione." Ginny greeted happily, standing up straight upon seeing her best girl mate approach. Hermione smiled. She didn't want to speak. She feared if she opened her mouth she would spew all over the place.

"You ready for this?" Ginny quizzed. Hermione cursed in her head. The damned girl needed to ask a question. Now she had no choice but to speak.

"Uhh, I hope so. Are you entering for anything other than opening act?"

"Nah. I'm no good at anything apart from dancing. Well what number are you? I think the numbers go up to 150 and after all of them have been called out they start on opening acts." Ginny replied. She was referring to the numbers each act had been given when they had entered the hall. Ginny and Hermione had been given opening act audition number 14.

"Oh, I'm audition act number 139 for the 10 performances."

"Well you had better be ready. They just called in act number 138."

"WHAT?!?!" Hermione gasped. She hadn't been paying attention to what numbers were being audition and called out. She had been too nervous to bother. Just a few mere moments after Ginny had told her, a voice boomed through the hall.

"Act 139 report to the performance area, I repeat act 139 report to the performance area." Hermione gulped and looked at Ginny who gave her a quick pat on the back and returned to stretching. Hanging her head, Hermione made her way to the performance area trying not to take any notice of the people watching her intensely as she passed. She walked through the larger door which led to the performance area where she could see Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape and Albus Dumbledore sitting. She walked to the middle of the floor in front of where the staff were seated at the table. She looked at them nervously. Dumbledore cleared his throat.

"Welcome Miss Granger. What will you be performing for us?" He asked merrily. Snape rolled his eyes.

"Um, I'll be singing a song." She replied nervously.

"Well duh. You're not going to sing a movie are you?" Snape muttered under his breath. He received a sharp elbow in the side from McGonagall who acted as iif nothing had happened when Snape glared at her. Hermione tried not to laugh at the Professors childish behaviour.

"When you are ready. Keep in mind that if you do happen to make it through that you do not need to sing the same song on the night." Dumbledore smiled. Hermione cleared her throat.

Turnaround, every now and then I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming around
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears

She started off shakily.

Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit terrified and then I see the look in your eyes
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and then I fall apart

Her voice began to project and turned into what all three teachers thought sounded more beautiful than any voice they had ever heard. Snape's eyes were so wide in the initial shock that one of his most annoying students could sing so wonderfully. So powerfully.

And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong together
We can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart

As she finished the excert of the song the three teachers clapped loudly. Well Dumbledore and McGonagall did. Snape clapped politely trying not to show his enthusiasm.

"Well done Miss Granger. Who knew you had as much talent in singing as you do in studying. If you are going to also audition for the slot of the openin act please go back through into the waiting room. I trust you know that there will be sheets posted up around the school first thing in the morning with results." McGonagall said. Hermione nodded blushing slightly and made her way back to the waiting room beaming.

Later That Night

After what had been a very eventful day, Hermione and inny collapsed into their beds. They had both performed a very energetic dance to Christina Aguilera Dirrty. It was now 7 PM and all auditions had finished. Hermione hadn't sen Harry or Ron all day due to auditions. She had wrote them a breif letter and owled it to them thanking them for their presents as well as sending one to every other member of the Weasley family thanking them for the lockt. Except for Ginny of course. She thanked her herself. She turned over on to her side on her bed to look at Ginny across from her.

"At least after those auditions we get a quiet night in." Ginny said as she looked over at Hermione grinning. If only she had known how wrong she was.

Chapter 11: Surprises, Letters, Nerves and Discoveries!
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Author’s Note - Hey guys. Here is the eleventh installment (I think) of my story. I hope you all like it. Not as long of a wait as last time I am happy to say. I hope you all enjoy it and feel free to leave a review.

Disclaimer - I do not own Harry Potter in any way. I own only the plot and my own characters.

[Dumbledore’s Office - 9th September]

Professor Dumbledore stared at the two adults in front of him with his familiar twinkle in his eye. He was delighted to be given the opportunity to reunite them with their long lost daughter. When he had received their letter of request to visit the school he had frowned at their foolishness. What on earth had possessed them to ask? Of course they would have been allowed. Now, just a few hours later, they were standing anxiously in front of him waiting for some sort of news. When they had described what should have happened to their daughter's appearance and that her fist name was Hermione, Dumbledore had been shocked to say the least. Never in a million years would he have suspected that Hermione Granger was in fact adopted and, what's more, from a pureblood family.

"Well Albus, do you know who our daughter is?" Gabrielle asked hopefully. Adrian seemed to have lost the ability to speak. His palms were sweating and if you looked closely enough, you could see him shaking a bit. Dumbledore smiled.

"Yes Gabrielle, I am pleased to say that I can inform you of your daughter's identity. Her name is Hermione Granger and she is a member of the Gryffindor house." He said pleasantly. Gabrielle shrieked excitedly and Adrian's jaw dropped.

"Gryffindor?" He asked. Dumbledore nodded politely.

"Who would have thought?" Adrian muttered. He would have expected her to be a Slytherin. Maybe a Ravenclaw, but a Gryffindor?

"Well, now that you have been informed of who your daughter is, would you like to meet her?" Dumbledore asked. Gabrielle nodded enthusiastically. She couldn't possibly wait a moment longer.

"Not yet." Adrian said. Gabrielle swirled on her heel to stare at him incredulously.

"Well shouldn't we inform Blaise first? It would only be right if we met her as a family. As a family, I mean the whole family." Gabrielle bit her lip slightly. She wanted her daughter now. She cast her eyes to the ground.

"I suppose so." She muttered.

"Well, now that you have decided, I will write a letter to your soon asking him to come up here. I will leave whilst you inform him and I will fetch Miss Granger and inform her. Would you like me to tell her who you are or would you prefer to do so yourself?" Dumbledore asked.

"Miss Zabini." Gabrielle said in a low voice.

"I beg your pardon?" Dumbledore said politely.

"Her name is Zabini." She said. Dumbledore frowned slightly.

"You must understand Mrs. Zabini, that Hermione will not take this easily. She will not automatically throw herself into your ways of living. I understand that you are family and I will call her Miss Zabini if she wishes me to do so. Remember that for the past sixteen years of her life she has grown up to believe that she is part of a muggle family and believed that her muggle parents were her biological ones. This won't be easy for her."

Gabrielle nodded. "I know, it's just difficult for us. I would prefer that you don't tell our daughter who we are. We would like to let her know ourselves."

"Very well."

[Boys Dormitory - 8.30 PM]

Blaise and Malfoy were sitting in their dormitory discussing the day’s events.

"Can you believe that Crabbe and Goyle entered for the talent show auditions?" Malfoy snorted. Blaise burst out laughing.

"Yeah, I know. I heard Lavender Brown say that they had entered for ballet!" Blaise replied. Malfoy joined him in laughing.

"You know what Brown is like though. She gossips a load of rubbish. I think I heard Crabbe grunt that they were doing a magician act. I'm not sure though." Malfoy replied. Blaise laughed again.

"I hope they get in. They should pass for a comedy act."

They both carried on laughing for a few minutes. Once they had caught their breath, Malfoy spoke.

"Granger and Weasley entered for it as well. I don't know what for though. I think it might have been for the opening act. Wonder what they'll be doing."

"Yeah. Did you see Granger this morning? I nearly jumped out of my skin when that lamp exploded."

"Yeah, what was that all about?" Malfoy asked in reply. Blaise shrugged his shoulders.

" I dunno man. She's got some temper."

"Whatever. Why are we speaking about her again?" Malfoy asked.

"You brought her up."

A tapping on the window interrupted them. They turned around to see an owl they didn't recognize hovering outside their window clutching a letter. Blaise rose an eyebrow and turned to face Malfoy who shrugged his shoulders. Malfoy stood up and opened the window. The owl flew straight over to Blaise, dropped the letter and zoomed back out of the window again. He picked up the letter and began to fumble with the seal. He opened it and began to read.

Dear Mr. Zabini
Your parents have come to see you. They are waiting in my office at the moment. I would appreciate it if you would make your way up there immediately. They say it is urgent.
Professor Dumbledore
PS. I like 'Muggle Candy'

Blaise dropped the letter and jumped to his feet. Malfoy stared at him curiously.

"I gotta go man. Read the letter. I'll be back soon."

With that, Blaise made his way out of the dormitory leaving a curious Malfoy to read the letter.

[Girls Dormitory - 8.35 PM]

Hermione and Ginny were both lying down reading magazines. They were both exhausted from auditions and couldn't be bothered doing anything else. When a knock could be heard at their door they looked at each other in surprise. Ginny stood up and made her way towards the door. She grabbed the handle and pulled it towards her to reveal a smiling Albus Dumbledore in the doorway. Ginny stood in shocked and Hermione nearly choked.

"Uh, hello Professor." Hermione said smiling. Dumbledore nodded.

"Good evening Miss Granger. I was wondering if you would join me. I have some rather important news to tell you." He said. Hermione raised her eyebrows and then turned to look at Ginny who beckoned her to leave.

"B..But I'm in my pajamas!" She protested down looking at the blue T-Shirt and trousers angel pajama set she was wearing. Dumbledore chuckled. He waved his wand and Hermione's pajamas had transformed into a plain blue T-Shirt with an angel on the front and a pair of blue jeans with angel written across the back. Hermione stared down at herself and then up at Ginny who seemed rather amused.

Shaking slightly, Hermione got to her feet and followed Dumbledore out of her dorm and then out of the common room. Once they were in the corridor, Hermione looked at Dumbledore curiously.

"I don't mean to be rude Professor, but would you mind telling me what this is all about?"

"You are not being rude at all. If anyone is it is me for dragging you from your dormitory when you are wearing clothes strikingly similar to the pajamas you were wearing moments ago." He said smiling. "I have come to fetch you because, as I am sure you are aware, you are adopted." Hermione looked up at him surprised.

"How do you know Professor?" She asked.

"You sent a letter to your parents earlier today, am I right?" Dumbledore asked. Hermione nodded. "Well, if I am right, it did not go to your adoptive muggle parents because you are now sixteen and the glamour charm put on you at birth has now worn off although you do look similar to what you did before. The letter instead went to your biological parents who are now in my office waiting to meet you. That is of course if you wish to meet them." He finished. Hermione was gob smacked. She had been so curious to who her parents were and now they were sitting in her headmaster's office waiting to meet her.

"O..Of course I want to meet them. Who are they though?"

"Well you shall come to my office then. I am afraid I cannot tell you who they are. They would rather tell you themselves. I must warn you, be prepared for surprise."

Hermione gulped. What the hell did that mean?

[Outside the Office]

Blaise stood panting outside of Professor Dumbledore's office. He had run all the way from his common room. He lifted his fist and knocked on the door sharply. A familiar female voice called through.

"Come in."

Blaise pushed the door open to see his parents on the other side smiling nervously. Dumbledore was nowhere in sight. There were three empty chairs in front of Dumbledore's desk. His parents had probably been sitting there before he had knocked. Blaise walked in and closed the door behind him. Gabrielle and Adrian sat back down in their chairs and beckoned for their son to join them. Confused, he did so.

"Would you mind telling me what is going on?" Blaise asked irritated. Gabrielle nodded.

"We received a letter today. A letter from your sister." She gushed excitedly. Blaise choked on air. "Of course, she didn't know it had come to us. She had addressed it 'Mum and Dad' thinking it would go to her adoptive parents but because her glamour charm has worn of it was sent to us. Dumbledore is bringing her here now."

Blaise didn't know what to say. He felt a mixture of emotions. Shock, relief, excitement, curiousness and nervous. Instead of speaking, he stayed completely still and waited for his sister to arrive.

[Outside the Gargoyles]

Hermione was standing outside the gargoyles that led to the stairway leading to Dumbledore's office. She hadn't spoken at all since Dumbledore had informed her why she was being taken to his office. She had kept silent and tagged along behind him. Her insides were squirming with nerves. She was seconds away from meeting her family.

"Muggle Candy." Dumbledore said. The gargoyles jumped apart and revealed a staircase. Hermione followed Dumbledore as he began to ascend.

"Will they like me?" She asked quietly?

"Pardon?" Dumbledore asked politely.

"Will they like me?" She repeated a little louder. Dumbledore smiled.

"Of course they will. You are their daughter. I will be with you when you meet them and I will be there if you, your parents, or your brother has any questions." He replied happily.

"M..My" Hermione spluttered. Dumbledore widened his eyes.

"Of course. Didn't I tell you? You have a brother."

"No you must have missed that tiny part out." Hermione half growled. It was nerve wracking enough meeting her parents, but she had a brother as well? They reached the door separating them from Hermione's family. Dumbledore reached forward and turned the handle. Hermione held her breath as he turned it and opened the door.

Chapter 12 - A Lot To Take In

Before she knew what was happening, Hermione was being surrounded by hugs. She wasn't sure if the office door had even opened properly yet. After a bone crushing what seemed like an hour-long hug, Hermione was freed from the strangers grasp to see a rather pretty middle aged woman standing before her beaming broadly. Beside her was a man of about the same age, also smiling enthusiastically. Hermione couldn't move. Were these people really her parents? It was all very hard to take in. She had waited for this moment, dreamed of it for weeks. Now the reality of it had struck her like lightening. She didn't even know these people. Sure, they shared the same blood but what did it really matter? She would never have any childhood memories of them. They should have been the ones teaching her how to ride a bike, or in the magical world a broomstick at the age of five. But it wasn't them. It had been the parents who had brought her up. The Grangers. They had brought her up to be the young woman she was today. Not these strangers before her. Upon seeing the look upon her daughter's face, Gabrielle's smile faltered.

"I'm sorry Mia. I know this is very difficult for you. We don't expect you to take to us straight away. We completely understand if you are feeling resentful towards for now but we would really appreciate it if you would give us a chance." She said. Adrian nodded in agreement. Hermione rose an eyebrow.

"Oh, I'm sorry darling, you don't go by that name anymore. Forgive me." Gabrielle apologized. "I am Gabrielle and this is Adrian." Hermione looked up at Dumbledore uncomfortably. He nodded in a silent understanding.

"Maybe it is best if we should all sit down to discuss matters." He said motioning to the seats in front of his desk. Another had appeared making there four. Hermione looked at them and remembered she had yet to meet her brother. The chairs were high risen at the back. Very comfortable looking. As she and her 'parents' began to approach them Adrian announced "You have yet to meet your twin brother.". Seconds later one of the chairs swiveled round to reveal Blaise Zabini.

The two teenagers take a few moments to realize what stood before them.

Blaise's eyes nearly departed from his head and Hermione screamed at the top of her lungs. Gabrielle and Adrian looked at Dumbledore alarmed. Dumbledore chuckled quietly and took his seat at his desk. Hermione's scream faded and she backed to the other side of the office.

"Y...You're kidding right? Th...This is some sort o...of sick j...joke right?" Hermione stuttered. Dumbledore shook his head softly. "I am afraid not Miss Granger." Hermione started to breathe heavily.

"Of all the families in the world." She muttered to herself not wanting to believe the truth. Blaise seemed to be in the same kind of situation as her. He was muttering, trying to reason with himself. The parents looked bewildered. The looked at Dumbledore helplessly.

"Miss Granger, Mr. Zabini. Please calm yourselves for the moment. We have important matters we must discuss." Dumbledore said in a firm but pleasant tone. Hermione looked up at him frustrated and took a seat and pulled it as far away from Blaise as she could. Gabrielle and Adrian sat down next to Blaise.

"Well, this must be very difficult for you both and I will not be as rude to say I understand, however, I ask that you try to get on for the sakes of yourselves and your parents." Dumbledore started. "Miss Granger, as you are now aware, you are a Zabini. You were born with the name Mia Cadi Zabini. You will now have the second name Zabini though you don't need to tell anyone else. Do you wish to go by the name Mia?"

Hermione looked at him bewildered. "No. I go by Hermione." She said boldly. Dumbledore nodded.

"Very well. During holidays, as you are still an underage witch, you will go to the Zabini Manor to stay, unless of course you wish to stay at school or if your parents give you permission to stay elsewhere. Mr. Zabini (junior), I trust you will make Hermione feel welcome, as I am sure you would have anyway and make sure certain friends of yours do the same." Blaise nodded glumly.

"Albus, is all of this really necessary?" Adrian asked worried.

"I am afraid it is." Dumbledore replied. "Well at the moment, time is getting on, so I will let you go off to bed. I would like you both in my office before classes tomorrow. About eight thirty should do. Off you go now."

A very pale Hermione and a shocked Blaise darted out of their headmaster’s office and shot into their dormitories like a bullet not saying a word to each other once.

[Girls Dormitory]

Hermione lay on her bed in silence. It was the early hours of the morning but there was no chance of her catching any sleep. The sound of Ginny's gentle snoring could be heard which comforted Hermione only slightly. She had told Ginny what she had found out in Dumbledore's office. Ginny, being Ginny of course, comforted Hermione for a while before giving her some space. Now Hermione was alone, left to think about her life. Until just a few months ago, she had always believed that she was a muggle born. She had always believed her parents were hers and she had always believed that her life was great. Now, looking back on her old views of life, it seemed she had been a completely different person. That was what scared her. She didn't want to be that different. She had always felt comfortable being Hermione Granger. Now she was Hermione Zabini. Hermione was yanked from her thoughts by a quiet tapping on her window. Wide-awake, she stood up and slid the window up. A black owl swept in and dropped a letter on Hermione's bed before perching itself on her bedpost. Hermione sat back down on her bed and fumbled with the seal on the envelope. She already knew who it was from.

Dear Hermione
We are dreadfully sorry about our brief meeting. It didn't quite go as planned I presume you know. Albus has explained to us of your previous, should we call it 'tiffs' with Blaise and his friend Draco. We are sorry about the way that this has worked out. We never planned anything like this. We hope that you can come to forgive Blaise and hopefully in time you will also forgive us. If you wish to, you can come to the manor this weekend, with the school's permission of course, so we can get to know each other a bit better. You can take a friend if it would make you feel more comfortable. We hope to hear back from you.
Gabrielle and Adrian aka Mum and Dad

[Boys Dormitory]

Blaise was sitting on his bed, speaking to Malfoy. He hadn't told her who his sister was yet. He didn't want Malfoy having kittens just yet. Malfoy was however, trying his best to pry it out of Blaise.

"Come on man, just tell me who your sister is." Malfoy moaned, falling back onto his bed. Blaise shook his head.

"Seriously, I don't want you to kill yourself just yet. You'll find out soon no doubt."

Malfoy groaned. He hated not knowing things. He was one of those people who got bugged easily and hated surprises.

"Puh-lease." He whined. "I'll do your homework for a week if you tell me." Blaise thought for a moment.

"Two weeks." Blaise retorted. Malfoy rolled his eyes.

"Fine. Two weeks."

"Alrighty, but you aren't going to like this."

"Shut the hell up and get on with it."

"Look, do you want me to tell you or not."

"Um it's HmneGanr." He mumbled. Malfoy stuck a finger in his ear, twisted it and pulled it out again.

"Sorry, what?"

"Hermione Granger." Blaise said quietly. Malfoy sat up too fast and fell off of his bed with a bang.

[Zabini Manor]

Gabrielle and Adrian were sitting in their manor speaking.

"Do you think she will come this weekend?" Adrian asked worriedly. Gabrielle shrugged nervously and bit her lip.

"We'll find out soon I guess." She said quietly. Adrian nodded.

"Will Blaise be coming?" Adrian asked.

"Of course." Gabrielle replied. "As will Draco be if Mi- uh I mean Hermione decides to take a friend. We all need to get to know each other better."

"I guess."

The large black owl that had been in Hermione Granger's dormitory no more than ten minutes ago was now soaring towards Gabrielle, a letter tied neatly around it's leg. Gabrielle quickly untied it and began to read aloud.

"Dear Gabrielle and Adrian
Although you say you know about my previous encounters with Blaise and Malfoy, you will never know the full extent of them. It is very difficult for me to accept that I am a part of your family. You have to understand that I grew up with muggles and I have always known myself as Hermione Granger. Although my second name is now officially Zabini, I will be keeping to my Christian name Hermione. I am not ready for this to be out in the open yet so I would appreciate it if you did not let the news of me get out. I will come to your manor this weekend but I will be taking my friend Ginny Weasley. I hope to get along with you and maybe I will eventually come to terms with all of this. I make no promises though.

Chapter 13 - Results, Nerves and News

The sun shone through Ginny and Hermione's dormitory, splitting the shadows like a knife. Ginny groaned and rolled over in her bed, digging her delicate face even further into the pillows. Hermione on the other hand was wide-awake. She had been for the last half an hour or so. One thought had been running through her head, and it wasn't the results of the talent show auditions like many other girls at this time. It was of her family. She couldn't believe that she had agreed to go to the Zabini Manor for the weekend. She had agreed without even knowing who was going to be there. For all she knew there could be Zabini junior, Ferret, Ferret's family and other friend of the family of whom she knew she wouldn't get along with. She couldn't help but think about it. She had asked Ginny to join her who reluctantly accepted. Sure, they were friends, but who would honestly happily give up their weekend to spend it with people you didn't know and would probably detest if you did? Well she had said yes, and that was the main thing.

Hermione rolled over onto her side and looked at her alarm clock. It was only 07:00. She had Potions first with the Slytherins and she was not looking forward to. Blaise and Malfoy were both in that class and she really couldn't handle the thought of having to face them. Stretching, she sat up in bed and looked around. It was Wednesday morning and her second day of being sixteen. She pulled herself out of bed and forced herself into the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her black ringlets fell around her slightly tanned face. In a way she wished she could have her old fuzzy hair back and her paler skin. Her new looks were a constant reminder of her new family.

By 07:30, Hermione was dressed in a pair of cut off jeans, a black and red rock t-shirt and black converse shoes. She looked at Ginny who still hadn't budged from her position in bed. Smiling slightly, Hermione left her dorm and made her way into the common room. Thankfully, no one else was there. She fell down on to one of the big red plush chairs and picked up her book 'Magic in America' that Harry had given her. She opened it and began to read. Fifteen minutes later, at a quarter to eight, she did not hear anybody enter the common room. She was so immersed in her book that everything else was a different world at that moment in time.

Blaise looked down at her, not quite sure what emotion he was feeling. Was it love, or hate, or just plain confusion? He really couldn't quite place it. He thanked God silently for she had not heard him enter. He wasn't ready for the awkward silences that were going to come when they did have to come to terms with the fact that they were now brother and sister. He silently made his way down the stairs and sat in one of the green plush chairs. Thankfully, Hermione had once again not heard him. Blaise would never understand how someone could fall so deep into reading. He looked closely at his sister's tanned skin, which was the exact shade of his own. It felt extremely weird to be looking at Hermione 'Granger' and comparing himself to her in a brotherly fashion. Shrugging his shoulders, he stood up quietly and made his way to the Great Hall for an early Breakfast. He could really do with something to settle his stomach.

In The Great Hall

To Blaise's surprise, there were quite a number of people in the Great Hall already. He had completely forgotten that today was the day when everyone found out about the Talent Show results. Many girls were gossiping excitedly about the acts that were lined up. Others looked sadly down at their cereal, obviously not having qualified. Blaise hadn't even bothered to look at the sheet saying who had gotten in and who hadn't. He sat down quietly at the Slytherin table, trying not to attract any attention. He just wanted to be left alone to process his thoughts. No such luck! Pansy Parkinson had spotted him like a predator waiting to pounce. He sighed as she walked up to him.

"Hey Blaise! What's up?" She asked cheerily as she plunked herself down beside him.

"Uh nothing much Pansy. Just thinking, yah know?" He said wearily. Pansy grinned enthusiastically.

"Whatcha thinking?"

"About stuff."

"What stuff?"

"Personal stuff.

"Aw come one, you can tell me."

"No I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because it's personal."

"Pansy, will you leave me alone?" Blaise snapped. Pansy looked at him, clearly offended, stood up and stalked off. Blaise breathed a sigh of relief. She was so annoying. He would rather be locked in the same room as a mountain troll than have to spend five minutes alone with her.

In The Common Room

Hermione looked down at her watch. She had been reading for a half an hour now. It was eight-o clock. She placed her book down and sat back in the chair. She really didn't know what to do. She would need to speak to Zab-Blaise soon. She couldn't avoid him forever. Besides, it looked like she was about to be stuck with him next weekend. No doubt their parents would want them both there to 'bond' and heaven forbid, if Malfoy was there, she might just kill herself. Well, at least she would have Ginny there to cheer her up. A door creaked, and Hermione looked up to see a tired looking Malfoy emerge from his dorm. It seemed as though he had had a rough night. Little did she know it was actually because of her that he was in this tired state. He had had numerous nightmares about her being the long lost Zabini twin. He had been waking up every half an hour with them. Upon seeing him, Hermione stood up briskly and made her way for the common room door. She really did not want to be in his company now, of any time.

Walking down the corridor, Hermione's heart stopped when she saw the Talent Show results on the wall. She had forgotten all about them. She rushed forward to read the results. They were as follows.

Opening Act - Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle The Master Magicians

First Act - Fourth Year Lisa Maines Singing
Second Act - Sixth Year Parvati Patil Dancing
Third Act - Fifth Year Brian Allen Comedy
Fourth Act - Fifth Year Luna Lovegood Ballet

Seventh Act - Fourth Year 'Star Blitz Cheerleaders' Cheerleading

Hermione squealed in delight as she read her name. Quickly she read the note beneath the results.

We have included a closing act due to the difficult choice of having to choose an opening act. Thank you.

Grinning from ear to ear, Hermione could not wait to tell Ginny the good news. Little did she know, she had some very shocking news waiting for her also.

Chapter 14 - Anger in Potions

Wednesday 10th September

When Ginny entered the Great Hall looking very tired, it was about 08:30. She made her way to the Gryfifndor table and sat beside Hermione who was grinning like a kid in a toy store. Ginny rose an eyebrow questioningly.

"Didn't you read the Talent Show results?" Hermione gushed. Ginny clapped a hand to her mouth dramatically.

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe I forgot! Did we get in?" Ginny asked nervously. Hermione nodded excitedly.

"I got in for one of the ten performances as well!" Hermione squeaked.

"It was obvious you would. You have amazing talent girl. Oh and, um, there's something I kind of need to tell you."

"I uh, can't make it to the Zabini's this weekend." She informed, very quietly saying 'Zabini's'. Hermione's jaw dropped.

"WHAT?" She screeched, causing many alarmed heads to whirl around in her direction. She flushed red and looked back at Ginny.

"I got a letter this morning. Charlie has been bitten by one of the young dragons in Romania. It's nothing serious but the family are going to visit him for the weekend over there. They asked me if I wanted to go. I'm really sorry 'Mione." She said looking down at her food. She actually did look genuinely sorry but Hermione was sure she could see a small flicker of relief across her face.

"Well I would have preferred that you were with me, but I understand. Family comes first. Well in your case anyway."

"You won't escape next time."

They both laughed and proceeded to eat their food.

09:00 - Potions

Hermione walked into her Potions class alone and was relieved to see Harry and Ron already sitting there. Snape had not yet arrived but would no doubt turn up in a few short minutes. Hermione dumped her books on her desk and sat beside Harry and Ron.

"Hey 'Mione!" Hary said cheerily. Ron smiled warmly at her.

"Hey guys." She replied worn out.

"What's wrong? Your adoption thing isn't still bothering you is it? We'll help you find your family." Ron said in an attempt to cheer her up. Hermione forced a smile. She had not yet told them she was a Zabini and it would probably take her a while to find the guts to do so.

"Thanks." She answered quietly. At that moment, Professor Snape entered briskly and shut the door behind him. He walked over to his desk and turned his evil eyes upon the class before him. It was almost as if you could see a wicked plan devising in his head and then figure out the best way to put it into action.

"Today class," He began in his usual dull tone. "We will be making the 'Obliviate' potion. It is, as the smarter of you may have already guessed, an alternative to the spell. It is much more discreet than the spell and many dark wizards have used. You will be working in pairs, and no you will not get to choose your partner. I have taken the liberty of doing that for you. You can thank me for it later."

A few groans could be heard but Snape acted as though he had not heard any of it. He began to call out names and as usual it was the worst pairings you could have ever imagined. Neville Longbottom and Gregory Goyle were definetly not going to achieve much working together and Hermione would be extremely surprised if Ron did not kill Pansy Parkinson whilst working with her. But no one had a worse pairing than Hermione. She nearly died when she heard it. Of all the Slytherins in the class, hers had to be Draco Malfoy! She threw a last defeated look at Harry and Ron who tried their best to give her an encouraging smile but failed dismally.

"You can get the stuff. I can't be bothered." Malfoy said wearily as Hermione approached. He had decided that very morning that he would act as though he had not heard the information Blaise had told him last night. Besides, it may have been a dream. One could only hope.

"I don't think so Malfoy. You can get off your lazy ass and get those ingredients. Do I look like a slave?" Hermione snarled. Perhaps Blaise hadn't told Malfoy after all. Surely he would have been acting all strange around her if he had bene informed.

"Do you honestly want me to answer that?" Malfoy retorted sneering. Hermione's eyes narrowed and flashed black. For a moment, Malfoy almost felt intimidated. Almost.

"Get-those-ingredients-now." Hermione said putting heavy emphesis on every word that came out of her mouth.

"And what will you do if I don't Granger? Tell on me?" He mocked.

"Fine. I will get them myself, but you will regret this. You will truly regret this." Hermione spat. Malfoy smirked at her as she stormed off to the ingredients cupboard.

The rest of the lesson went in fairly quick. Hermione refused to utter a single word to Malfoy for the duration of it. She proceeded to make the whole potion by herself, not to Malfoy's complaint. At one point Malfoy went up to speak to Snape for a moment and came back grinning slyly. Hermione shrugged it off. Ten minutes before the lesson was set to end, Snape began to make his way around the class making sure that everyone's potion was the sky blue colour that he had described to them halfway through the potion making. Not many people had got it right. Neville and Goyle's was a sickly green colour. Ron and Pansy had refused to make anything and had therefore resulted in a detention each. Hermione smiled slightly as Snape walked up to her and Malfoy. Her's was a perfect sky blue not to anyone's surprise. Surely Snape couldn't have any bad remarks for her.

"Miss Granger, I am sure you are aware that I assigned you with a partner for a reason, am I correct?" He asked. Hermione looked up at him. That wasn't what she had expected from him.

"Uh, yes sir."

"Well what part of that don't you understand?"

"I understand it perfectly sir."

"Then why would you not allow Mr. Malfoy to assist in making this potion?" Snape drawled in a half mocking tone. Hermione's jaw dropped.

"Are you kidding me? I asked him millions of times to help me with the ingredients and he refused to get off his lazy ass." She protested. Malfoy smirked.

"Well according to Mr. Malfoy here, you refused to let him go near it and I do not approve of your language. Detention tomorrow at lunchtime."

"That is so unfair. He's lying." Hermione huffed. The whole class were watching the scenario now.

"Well as you will have probably noticed it is your word against his. Therefore you will both receive a fail in this practical."

"I cannot believe Malfoy!" Hermione fumed. "The amount of times I told him to help me and now I have failed anyway. I am going to kill him, I swear to God." Harry, Ron and Ginny looked at her sympathetically as she shoved food ferociusly down her throat. She had been in a bad mood ever since potions. She hadn't bothered to answer a single question in Transfiguration, Herbology or Charms. Now they had the afternoon off and Hermione looked ready to go Malfoy hunting.

"Look on the bright side. Malfoy failed as well." Ron said in a pitiful attempt to cheer her up. Hermione glared at him.

"Yeah, but I got detention." She snarled as she turned back to her food and refused to speak further. A chinking could be heard from the teachers table and the students looked up to see Dumbledore preparing to start a speech. This caused chatter to erupt through the tables. Dumbledore rarely ever made a speech other than at a special feast.

"Ahem." He cleared his throat. "Good day students. I trust you have all had a very exciting week back at school." Many 'pfft's' and 'yeah rights' could be heard. "As many of you will have noticed, the Talent Show results have been posted around the school. Well done to all of those who made it through. Due to this, we will actually be holding a practice run for all of those participating a week today. That will be the 17th of September. This will mean that the Professor's will be putting a lot of work into preparing the Great Hall and will have very little time to do so, therefore classes have been cancelled on Monday the 15th and Tuesday the 16th." Cheers erupted through the Great Hall. "That is all I have to say for now. Good Day."

Hermione stared at the teachers table in horror. That meant this weekend was a four day weekend. What was she going to do? Four days with a family she didn't know and with no Ginny!

In The Common Room

At 2:30 PM, Hermione entered the common room with Ginny to see Malfoy and Blaise sitting there already. Ginny smelled the danger straight away. Hermione froze and began to tremble with anger.

"MALFOY!" She screeched, causing both of the boys to momentarily jump straight out of their skins. Malfoy looked up at Hermione bewildered, and after a moment a look of amusement spread onto his face as he suddenly remembered why she was angry with him.

Blaise and Ginny were staring at the two enemies trying their hardest not to laugh.

"Excuse me, if I remember correctly, Snape was the one who said that you excluded me from making the Potion." Malfoy retorted smirking. Hermione was now shaking beyond belief.

"You what?" Malfoy asked, pushing his luck that little bit too far.

"ARRRGH!" Hermione screamed in frustration, picking up the closest thing to her which happened to be one of her rather heavy books and launched it at Malfoy. Malfoy, who had not turned to look at Blaise whilst sniggering felt an almighty sharp blow to the side of his head. He fell backwards off of the small plush stool he had been sitting on and crashed to the floor with an earth shuddering bang. Blaise and Ginny's jaw dropped in horror. Malfoy stood up and looked very dazed and confused.

"That's what happens when you mess with me." Hermione said triumphantly. Malfoy rose his eyebrows.

"Why are you talking to me?" He asked.

"Excuse me?" Hermione asked puzzled.

"I don't know you and my mummy said to never talk to strangers."

Mia Cadi Zabini - Chapter 15

Vindaloo Curry and Water Jugs

Friday 12th September

The last few days in Hogwarts had not been very eventful in Hermione's point of view. Classes were the same as ever and people were still adjusting to being back in school. She had endured a very dull detention of scrubbing cauldrens yesterday with Snape also with special thanks to Malfoy. The classes were now finished for the day and Hermione was sitting in the common room alone, reading her book. Well she wasn't actually reading it, though it would seem to anyone watching her that she was. She was actually thinking of the events on Wednesday that had happened between her and Malfoy. Blaise had taken him down to the hospital wing after Malfoy insisted that he was not allowed to speak to any of them because he didn't know them. It turn out he had a small case of temporary amnesia and Madam Pomfrey had fixed it in a second. He wasn't one to forget though. Well, except for when he had amnesia. Hermione knew he would strike her with a plan of revenge. She was ready for it. Or so she thought anyway.

It was now 5 PM and Hermione was due to go the Zabini Manor any minute. All she had to do was throw into the fire her Floo Powder, which Dumbledore had given her earlier that day, and shout 'Zabini Manor'. She was told to go any time after 5 PM. Blaise was probably already there and Hermione could only hope to God that Malfoy had not been invited. She wished more than anything that Ginny could be with her, but she had left earlier to go and visit Charlie with Ron and the rest of the Weasley family. Harry had gone along as well. It would have been ashame for him to have been left at Hogwarts all by himself. Hermione had told them all that she was going to visit her adoptive parents for the weekend as Dumbledore had given her permission. Only Ginny knew the truth.

Hermione looked up at the fire before her, which seemed to be spitting flames at her threateningly. She glanced down at her watch. 5:05 PM. She took a deep breath and stood up before the fire clutching her carry bag which contained her clothes and other things she would need whilst at the manor. She put her hand into her jean pocket and it surfaced grasping a small amount of Floo Powder. She threw it forward into the fire and the flames rose obediently and turned a shade of dark green. Hermione turned to take a last look at her welcoming common room. She wasn't going to be seeing it for a good few days after all. Sighing slightly she stepped forward into the fire and shouted the dreaded words.

The flames rose around her and she began to twirl around at an alarming speed. Closing her eyes tightly and tucking her elbows in as tightly as she could, she silently prayed for the ride to be over. For once, something she wished for actually came true. She stumbled forward into a very grand looking living room and fell to her knees coughing and spluttering. It seemed that the fire ash had attempted to make a new home in her lungs. She felt someone help her to her feet and hand her a glass of water. She looked up to see Gabrielle smiling at her.

"Uh, thanks." Hermione said awkwardly, accepting the water from her. She looked over to one of the sofas where Adrian was sitting. He was beaming like a child in a candy shop. She scanned the rest of the room quickly to see if Blaise or Malfoy were there. To her utter delight, they weren't.

"Come through to the dining room. You must be starving." Gabrielle said as she grabbed Hermione's wrist and began to drag her off to what Hermione guessed would be the Dining Room. Adrian closely followed. Hermione's protests of 'I'm fine, honestly.' and 'No seriously, I ate before I left.' just didn't seem to be helping her at all. It reminded her of Mrs. Weasley's behaviour. After being dragged through about ten different corridors, they entered the Dining Room, which to Hermione's shock was fairly averaged sized. She bit her lip nervously as she realized that there were seven seats pulled up around the dining table. Gabrielle motioned for her to sit down in one of the seats. Hermione did so and Gabrielle sat opposite her. Adrian stayed by the door.

"I'll just be a minute. I'll call Blaise, Draco, Lucius and Narcissa round." He said and departed. Hermione choked on air.

"Are you ok dear?" Gabrielle asked with a face full of concern. Oh yeah, I'm fine, Hermione thought to herself. I just found out I'm adopted, my family are linked to my enemy, I have to spend four days with you all in your house, oh and to top it all off, I have to have a posh dinner with the lot of you.

"I'm fine thanks." She replied smiling sweetly. Gabrielle smiled back.

"So how are you doing in school? Blaise told us that you are the brightest witch in your year." Gabrielle said attempting conversation. Hermione flushed and looked at her in disbelief. Blaise had really said that? Heck, Blaise had actually spoke about her!

"Uh, I'm doing OK. I got Outstanding in all of my OWLs." Hermione replied looking at her feet.

"Well there you have it. Brightest witch in your year."

"I wouldn't say -"

"Nonsense. Of course you are." Gabrielle said smiling toothily. Hermione smiled. She smiled a genuine smile.

"OK, if you insist."

Just as Hermione was beginning to feel a tad bit comfortable, she realized that company was entering the room. She looked up to see Malfoy, Malfoy Senior, Adrian, Blaise and Malfoy's mother. What was her name again, Hermione asked herself. Narcissa or something along those lines. They all approached the table and took a seat. At the 'Head' of the table sat Adrian. To the left of Hermione was Blaise, and to the right was Malfoy. The Malfoy parents sat on either side of Gabrielle. Lucius looked uncomfortable as he looked at Hermione. Hermione had to try her hardest not to sneer. He was probably remembering all of those times that he had criticized her blood.

"So, um, what's for dinner?" Lucius asked.

"Well the house elves made spaghetti bolognese, kebab, carrot and coriander soup, steak, pepperoni pizza and vindaloo curry so you can choose whatever you want."

"What on earth is 'vindaloo curry'?" Malfoy asked flabbergasted.

"And pepperoni pizza?" Lucius cried.

"And kebab for that matter?" Blaise said looking shocked. Hermione laughed quietly.

"We thought we would try some muggle food for a change." Gabrielle answered smiling. Narcissa was the one who suggested kebab. We don't actually know what any of them are."

"Well I am not eating any of them, nor do I want to see them until I know what they are." Lucius said folding his arms and leaning back childishly.

"Me either." Said Blaise and Malfoy. Gabrielle and Narcissa rolled their eyes. Adrian watched, highly amused.

"Um, well... Hermione do you know what they are?" Gabrielle asked. Hermione nodded. "Care to tell these morons and us?"

"Uh, ok." Hermione replied nervously. "Well um, kebab is slices of lamb and it usually comes covered in a fairly spicy sauce and is served with a nann bread and salad. A pepperoni pizza is like, um, how do I explain this?"

"How the hell would we know how you could explain it? We don't have a freaking clue what they are!" Malfoy cried. Narcissa shot him a silencing look and Hermione glared.

"If you want me to tell you I suggest you shut the hell up or you can eat something that you have absolutely no idea what it is. For all you know half of this stuff could be pig’s blood or frog's saliva."

Let's just say that definitely shut Malfoy up. He turned a light shade of green also.

"Pepperoni pizza is like a circular piece of um, bread stuff, with this sauce on top and little bits of pepperoni and cheese." Hermione smiled, thinking of a plan of revenge on Malfoy for attempting to bug her a few minutes ago. "Finally, Vindaloo curry is rice with sauce and chicken mixed in. It's really sweet and I've heard it makes you much stronger. I don't like it personally though."

"Thank you Hermione. Now have you all decided on what you want?" Adrian asked. Everyone nodded. Adrian clicked his finger and seven house elves rushed through holding a platter. Hermione grimaced. She still did not like house elves being used as slaves.

"Narcissa?" Adrian asked.

"Carrot and coriander soup please." She said. One of the house elves handed her a platter containing the soup. Gabrielle and Adrian had the carrot and coriander soup also, but Blaise, Malfoy and Lucius all opted for the Vindaloo curry smirking at each other as they did so. Finally, Hermione was asked.

"Um, Bisgetti Bolognese please." She said quietly.

"What?" Malfoy snorted as Blaise laughed.

"Bisgetti Bolognese." Hermione said through gritted teeth.

"Ha, you can't say spaghetti." Blaise gasped in between his laughter.

"You wanna wear it?" Hermione snarled. He shut up.

"Let's eat." Adrian said as Hermione was handed her platter. Hermione began to eat her Bolognese and watched as Blaise, Malfoy and Lucius began to eat their food. She struggled to hold back a laugh as their eyes nearly popped open when they had a forkful. Determined, they managed to struggle on for some more time. About fifteen minutes into the meal, Hermione noticed that Malfoy's face had turned a very deep shade of red and could even see a tear trickling down Lucius's face. Blaise threw down his fork and made a grab for the jug of water in the middle of the table and sticking his whole head inside with his mouth wide open. Narcissa, Adrian and Gabrielle watched in total amusement as Lucius and Malfoy jumped on top of the table and made an attempt to pull Blaise out of the jug and put themselves inside instead.

"ENOUGH!" Gabrielle shouted. The three males on the table froze; Blaise's head still dug deep in the water jug.

"Blaise! Get your head out of there." She scolded. He did as he was told and emerged from the jug, dripping wet and smiling childishly.

"What is the meaning of all of this?" She questioned looking at the three culprits.

"Well um, I, um, haven't washed in a while and um, I thought now would be a good, um time." Lucius said uneasily, not willing to admit that the curry had been too spicy for him. Narcissa, Gabrielle and Adrian looked at him astounded. Hermione felt the need to speak up.

"They are all just ashamed to admit that they are not man enough to be able to handle the Vindaloo Curry. It's too spicy for them." She said grinning.

The rest of the table burst into laughter as Malfoy, Blaise and Lucius shot daggers at her.

"I'll get you for this." Malfoy snarled. Blaise shot her a look that said the exact same thing.

Mia Cadi Zabini - Chapter 16

Rooms, Reading, Emotions and... Oprah?

Friday 12th September

It was 6:30 PM in the Zabini Manor and Hermione was sitting in the lounge reading one of her books. After dinner, Gabrielle had decided that it was best that they didn't have desert. Hermione didn't blame her. She obviously didn't want a repeat performance from Lucius, Blaise and Draco. This had made the three males even more furious with Hermione. It meant that they would miss out on Gabrielle's specialty - Sticky Toffee Pudding. Hermione on the other hand felt rather relieved. She hated toffee. Had done so ever since she was a small child.

Hermione looked up as she heard someone entering the lounge. It was none other than her oh-so-lovely brother - Blaise. Upon meeting his eye she looked straight back down at her book again, pretending to be reading. Blaise flopped down into a chair opposite Hermione and although she wasn't looking, she could tell he was staring at her intensely. Sure enough, as she looked up his eyes were almost burning into hers.

"What?" She snapped.

"Jeesh, nothing!"

"Then why are you staring at me?"

Hermione rolled her eyes. What on earth had she done to deserve to be a Zabini? She was a good person wasn't she? Why couldn't she have been a Weasley, or even a Longbottom? She snapped her book shut and stood up quickly.

"Where's my room?" She asked in a crisp voice. Blaise shrugged.

"Dunno. You can sleep in the kennels if you like." He replied. Hermione narrowed her eyes threateningly.

"Fine, I'll show you your damn room."

Hermione muttered small thanks before Blaise led her out of the lounge. It took about five minutes before he stood outside a large oak door. He motioned for her to go inside. She did. As she opened the door she gasped. The room was massive. There was a very large walk in closet, different dressing tables, sets of drawers, a plush chair and a King Sized bed right in the center back of the wall. She looked curiously at the door to the left of her bed.

"That's your bathroom." Blaise said as he noticed Hermione look at the door. Hermione's eyes nearly popped out of her head.

"Outside of your room and down to the left is the library. I suspect you will be there a lot."

With that, he left Hermione to ogle at her room. It was fit for a princess. Smiling happily, she flopped onto her bed wondering what Ginny was doing at that moment.

[11 PM - Hermione‘s Room]

Hermione looked down at her watch. It was now 11 PM and she was bored out of her mind. If only Ginny had been there to keep her company, she thought sadly. She pulled herself off of her bed and looked in her closet. She had already raked through it before and found some of the most beautiful clothes she had ever seen, but now she was looking for a good pair of pajamas. She stopped flitting through her clothes as she found a pair. It was a set of white lacy shorts and a matching strap vest. She yanked it off the coat hanger and got dressed. She looked down at her watch again once she was dressed. 11:10 PM. Might as well give the library a visit, she thought to herself.

She opened her bedroom door and turned to the left. There was only one door there and then a dead end. Shrugging, she pushed the door open. What she saw before her almost gave her a heart attack. The library was even bigger than the one at Hogwarts. The bookshelves towered to about three times her height and the sliding ladders could be seen in each row. Right at the back of the library was a reading area with a table and two comfy looking sofas. Grinning, she pulled a random book off of a random bookshelf, which happened to be 'The Magical Truth Behind Fairy Tales' by Bathilda Bagshot. She walked over to one of the couches and collapsed onto it. After reading the first few pages of the book, Hermione was so engrossed that she did not hear someone else enter the library. If she had she would have looked up to see a pair of icy eyes staring at her. The person left the library as quickly as they had entered.

[11:27 PM - Blaise's Room]

Blaise lay on his back on his King Size bed thinking of his sister. He couldn't seem to get his head around the fact that this person was Hermione Granger. Well she was technically a Zabini now but she had been a Granger for as long as he had known her. He hadn't really had an opinion on Hermione before he had found out she was his sister. He hadn't really known much about her except that she was exceptionally bright and that she was good friends with the Weasleys and Harry Potter. As he was thinking, Blaise heard his bedroom door open. He looked up to see none other than his best friends Draco Malfoy.

"Hey, what you doing here?" Blaise asked as Malfoy closed the door behind him and collapsed onto Blaise's beanbag. He shrugged.

"Dunno. I was bored." He replied. Blaise rolled his eyes. Malfoy often gave him late visits whenever he was staying at his house. The Malfoy parents had decided not to stay the night at the Zabini Manor. They had some 'work' to do in the Malfoy Manor and elsewhere.

"Watcha thinking 'bout?" Malfoy asked in the exact way an annoyingly persistent kid would. Blaise looked over to him with the 'Isn't it obvious' look on his face. Malfoy replied a small 'Oh'.

"You.. Wanna talk about it?" Malfoy asked carefully. He knew better than to push Blaise into talking about something he wasn't comfortable with. Blaise shrugged his shoulders.

"I guess. I'm just finding it really hard to get my head around." He said quietly. "It's just if someone had said to me a few weeks ago that Hermione Granger would be my sister and staying in my house in a few weeks I would have smacked them around the head. And it doesn't help that she hates me." He finished sadly. It was Malfoy's turn to roll his eyes.

"Dude, she doesn't hate you. Just think about it from her point of view. She has just found out she has been living a lie for the past sixteen years of her life. Now to top it all off, her brother is best mates with the me, the guy her and her idiots for friends have detested since they were eleven and now she has to stay with them for a few days and get to know her new family. She isn't going to come running into your arms straight away man." Malfoy said. Blaise looked at him, completely shocked. No, he wasn't shocked by what he had just heard. He had already figured most of that out. He was shocked that it had came from Draco Malfoy's mouth.

"Dude, your saying that as if you actually like her. I thought you hated Gra.. H..Hermione." He said half-shocked and half-confused. Malfoy leaned further back into the beanbag.

"I don't hate her. I've just been her enemy for the duration of Hogwarts. Um, yeah, that doesn't sound too good but you know what I mean. I've just never seen eye to eye with her, ya know? We just don't get along." He said uneasily. Blaise eyed him suspiciously. "You should talk to her." Malfoy said out of the blue. Blaise stared at him and bit his lip.

"I wouldn't know what to say." He answered.

"Just say what is on your mind." Malfoy said, sounding quite deep. Now Blaise was freaked out.

"Cut it out man. You're giving me the creeps." Blaise said and shivered.

"What?" Malfoy asked confused.

"You're acting all deep and meaningful. You sound like one of those cheesy relationship TV chat hosts."

"You watch Oprah Winfrey, don't you?" Malfoy asked smirking. Blaise flushed red.

"Uh... no. Uh, you do. Or how would you know her name?" Blaise stuttered. Malfoy also turned slightly pink.

"Uh, let's not tell anyone we had this conversation."

"So you going to talk to her or what?" Malfoy asked.

"Yeah, tomorrow. She'll be sleeping by now." Blaise answered thinking of an excuse to get out of doing it at that moment. He saw a glint in Malfoy's eye and gulped.

"No she's not. She's in the library."

"How do you know? You spying on my sister dude?"

"Shut up! I wanted to read but I didn't want to disturb her." Malfoy said weirdly. Blaise snorted.

"You’re meant to be going to talk to her now." Malfoy said annoyed. Blaise sighed.

"Fine, fine, fine. I'll go talk to her. But stop spying on my sister. You lay one of your horny little fingers on her and I'll rip every little limb off of your body. Yes, I mean every one."

Malfoy laughed as Blaise left the room as slowly as he could.

[The Library]

It was now 11:53 PM and Hermione was already more than half way through the book she had started reading. It was just so interesting. It turned out that nearly every fairy tale actually had a magical story behind them. All of them, to Hermione's surprise, had actually been true to an extent. Maybe not the living happily ever after part but most of the stories were true anyway. She was so into reading the book that once again she did not hear when someone entered the library. Nor did she hear them walk up to near the couch she was now lying on, on her front with the book propped up against the arm of the couch. She did however hear when the person cleared their throat. She nearly jumped straight out of her skin. She looked over to the couch opposite her to see her brother Blaise sitting there, not realizing that he looked slightly anxious. Catching her breath back, she rolled over onto side to face him properly.

"Christ Blaise, you scared the living buhjesus outta me. You trying to give me a god damn heart attack?" She asked, still breathing a little faster than normal. "You shouldn't sneak up on people like that. What is it you want anyway?" She asked.

"I thought we should talk." He said simply. She looked at him confused and still a bit annoyed.

"About what?" She asked. Blaise laughed.

"Uh, how about the weather?" He asked sarcastically. "What do you think I want to talk about?" He said as if it were the most obvious thing on the planet. Hermione pulled herself up into a sitting position and looked down at the floor, pushing her hair behind her shoulders.

"Look, I'm sorry. I just think it was about time we talk. Besides, my- uh, o.. our mum and dad obviously aren't seeing the fact that we need to talk, so I thought I should." He said awkwardly. Hermione looked up at him.

"You don't need to do this." She said softly. Blaise looked at her in confusion.

"What do you mean?" He asked. Hermione smiled. Not a happy smile. More like a sad, knowing smile.

"I know what you are trying to do. You're trying to put right what has happened. You're trying to make this less hard for me by making me feel welcomed. You don't have to. I know I am not wanted here but there is nothing any of us can do about it. I will always be a muggleborn, or should I say Mudblood? I'll never be good enough. I don't want to be here as much as you don't want me to be here." She said quietly as a tear slid from her eye and slowly glided down her glossy cheek. "I should just leave. It would make it much easier for everyone." She finished. Blaise sat in shock. Ok, first of all, he definitely hadn't expected that from her. Second of all, he hadn't expected her to start crying. Her head was now buried in her hands and he could tell she was crying silently. Before he knew what he was doing, he stood up and sat down beside her. He slid his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to him so that her head was resting on him.

"Don't be stupid." He whispered. He couldn't quite believe what he was doing and neither could Hermione but none of them pulled apart anyway. "Course we don't want you to leave. We've spent sixteen years trying to find you, and now that we have you we wouldn't give you up for anything. And don't ever say Mudblood. We hate that word. We have to keep up false acts. I'll explain that to you eventually. We want you here. Even if you don't want to be here." He finished. Hermione sniffed as a few more tears slid down her face. Blaise pulled her into a hug, which was surprisingly returned. He smiled slightly as he looked down at his sister’s head resting on his chest. After a long sixteen years, he finally had his real sister back.

More Shopping Sprees and Shocks

[Saturday 13th September]

Warmth. That was the first thing Hermione felt when she woke up on Saturday morning. The warmth of her bed. It was surprisingly much more comfortable than the one in her dorm room back at Hogwarts. That was because she was now in the Zabini Manor. She groaned as she remembered this. Pulling herself up into a sitting position and pushing her ringlets behind her shoulders she tried to remember getting back to her room the previous night. The last thing she could remember was sitting in the library talking to Blaise. She must have fallen asleep there and Blaise levitated her through.

After yawning rather loudly and stretching her arms out, Hermione looked at the clock beside her bed. It was only 6:30 AM. She rolled her eyes as she stood up. Why couldn't she ever sleep till late in the morning? Her stupid body clock always had to wake her up early. Slightly tired, she walked across to her wardrobe and picked out her clothes for that day. For about half an hour she raked through all of the clothes but finally settled on a pair of tight, hipster jeans which revealed every curve she had, a fairly figure hugging, strappy black top which appeared to have red spray paint on it reading 'Kiss My...' on it, and a pair black, knee high 'Faith' boots pulled over the top of her jeans. She was planning on going out to explore the area that day but would probably have to wait until her 'parents' got up to give her permission.

Not wanting to sit around doing nothing whilst she waited for the Zabinis to waken up, Hermione made her way down to the kitchen to make herself breakfast. It took her a good twenty minutes to find it. She would probably never ever get used to this place. It was so massive that the whole of Africa could probably live in it with some space left over. When she finally reached it she could not believe her eyes. It was massive. It had a dining table in the middle of it, which about 10 people could sit at. There were so many different muggle appliances such as kettles, blenders, microwaves and even cheese graters lying about. Hermione would be honestly surprised if anyone in that house knew how to use any of them. Shrugging, she made her way over to the fridge and pulled out some eggs and a few rashers of bacon. She always made more than she needed so that she definitely still wouldn't be hungry afterwards. She usually left about half of it. She was just starting to lay it all out on her plate after cooking on it when she heard footsteps behind her. She swirled round and froze. None other than Draco Malfoy stood before her in a pair of baggy jeans and a very loose black and green t-shirt. His hair was messed and his ice blue, tired looking eyes stared eagerly at the food Hermione had just prepared for herself. Goodness, when did he get so damn hot, Hermione found herself thinking. His hair looks so gorgeous, and even his eyes look... STOP IT! What on earth are you thinking? You hate this guy! He tormented you for years!

"What do you want?" Hermione asked abruptly, snapping herself from her previous thoughts.

"Well, isn't somebody moody in the mornings?" He replied as he reached for that mornings Daily Profit which was sitting in the middle of the dining table and took a seat. Hermione huffed and picked up her bacon and eggs and also sat at the table.

"You know, they have house elves to do that stuff." Malfoy said, not looking up from the paper. Hermione glared at him.

"I would rather get off my own ass than make someone else do my work for me." She growled. Malfoy rolled his eyes.

The two sat for silence for about ten minutes before they heard others enter the kitchen. The both looked up to see Gabrielle and Adrian enter looking extraordinarily happy. The grinned at Malfoy and Hermione before sitting down to join them.

"Hey, uh, m.. mum. I was just wondering if I would be able to go out today. You know, explore the area." Hermione said carefully.

Gabrielle smiled broadly at the use of the word mum before nodding.

"Sure, of course you can. There is a large mall in town if you would like to go shopping or anything." She replied. Hermione looked uncomfortable.

"Oh, uh, but I don't have..."

"Nonsense darling, we'll give you money." Adrian broke in. Malfoy stared bewildered. He knew very well that if Blaise wanted to go shopping or out then he would have to work hard to bribe the money out of his parents. Not that they were short on money, but the Zabini parents tried to raise their kid like any normal one. Limited money and only when they deserved it.

"Uh, thanks."

"No problem." Gabrielle said. "The only thing is that it is quite a distance away and we can't take you. We are rather busy today. I'm sure Blaise and Draco would take you if they aren't doing anything."

Malfoy almost choked. Blaise almost did too as he had walked in at that very moment and had caught most of the conversation as he had walked to the kitchen.

"Yes Blaise, you wouldn't mind taking Hermione to the mall would you?" Gabrielle asked.

"It's settled then. The three of you are going to the mall. How much money will you need Hermione? We have a lot of our money in the muggle currency because this is obviously a muggle area." Gabrielle asked.

"Not much."

[12:30 PM - The Mall]

Hermione, Blaise and Malfoy had just arrived at the mall and Hermione was ready to go shopping. Gabrielle had made a large understatement when she said the mall was large. It was the biggest that Hermione had ever seen in her life. Blaise and Malfoy didn't seem to be as happy as she was to be there. Especially since Blaise and Malfoy had only been given £60 each and Hermione had £500. She had protested and protested against taking the money but finally agreed in the end when Adrian insisted it was the least they could do since they had never given her money before. This didn’t amuse Blaise.

"So you gonna be coming to the club tonight?" Blaise asked Malfoy. Malfoy nodded.

"Obviously. Who on earth turns down a chance to go to 'Hypnotic'?" Malfoy retorted.

"What on earth are you two talking about?" Hermione asked, slightly annoyed.

"Just this club we are going to tonight." Blaise replied.

"Good. I'm coming with." She said. There was no way on earth that they two were going out clubbing and leaving her in a massive manor bored out of her skull.

"Uh, no you're not." Blaise said as they walked by a very pink looking shop. Ironically, it was called 'Pink'.

"Yeah I am."

"No you're not."

"Why not?"

"Because there are a lot of guys there after one thing."

"I can handle myself."

"So if you don't let me go then I will spread horrid rumors about you."

"Yeah, right."

"I'll tell everyone that you and Malfoy are an item."

"You wouldn't." Malfoy broke in. There were a few guys who had already accused him of being slightly gay and it was not something he liked to think of. Hermione smiled wickedly. "Blaise, just let her go man. I do want people thinking I'm a queer just cause you don't want her at some stupid club."

Blaise rolled his eyes. "Fine!" He snapped. "But if you start getting into any kind of trouble then you're going straight home."

Hermione laughed as they entered the first shop that caught her eye but froze in horror when she saw one of the men who had haunted her dreams for years. And it wasn't Voldemort.

Chapter 18 - Clubbing

Not willing to believe her eyes, Hermione stared hard at the man who was standing about six feet in front of her looking at a jewellery counter. There was no mistaking it. It was him alright. He looked the exact same as he had ten years ago except now he had more grey hair and wrinkles. Blaise and Malfoy had now noticed that Hermione had stopped walking with them and turned to look at her.

"What's up?" Blaise asked with a confused expression on his face. Hermione opened her mouth to speak but found that no words came out. "You want a drink of water or something." Blaise asked slightly concerned. Hermione shook her head.

"Uh, no... I, uh... we need to get out of here." She said hurriedly. The two boys looked at each other, both clearly wondering what the hell was going on. "Quick." She hissed grabbing them both and making an attempt to dash for the main door.

"'Mione Granger! Is that you?" A deep voice from behind them called. Damn it, Hermione cursed. She turned around to face the monster who had called her. "I've not seen you in a long time." He grinned. Hermione felt the vomit begin to creep up in the back of her throat as she looked at his face.

"Yeah, well how about we keep it that way." She said abruptly turning around to walk away but a hand wrapped tightly around her wrist which stopped her in her tracks. She shuddered.

"What the hell! Get your hand off of her! Who the hell is this guy?" Blaise asked angrily. The man released Hermione and smiled evilly at the three teenagers before him.

"Oh, no need to worry. I'm an old friend of Miss Granger here. Just thought we might do some catching up." The man stated. Hermione looked at him incredulously.

"Um, I think not. I'd rather make out with toilet brush. Now if you don't mind, I'll be going." She snapped before spinning around on her heel with Malfoy and Blaise following her.

"Fair enough 'Mione, but I'm sure this won't be the last you see of me.”

[On The Way Home]

“So are you going to tell us who that guy was or what?” Malfoy asked impatiently as he, Blaise and Hermione walked up the street leading to the Zabini Manor. He and Blaise had been pestering all the way back from the mall about who he was. Hermione groaned yet again. She was getting tired of their constant questions and it didn’t help that she was carrying about twenty of her shopping bags.

“I said it doesn’t matter. He’s just this guy my parents… um, my adoptive parents new when I was a kid. It’s no big deal. Drop it.”

“Well it seemed like a big deal at the time. You seemed really rude and kinda uncomfortable around us. Why aren’t you telling us?” Blaise asked frustrated.

“DROP IT!” Hermione shouted causing both boys to almost jump out of their skins. “Now can one of you please help me with these bags?” She asked. Blaise and Malfoy looked at each other before bursting out in laughter.

“I don’t think so. Carry them yourself. Didn’t you say this morning that you would rather get off your own ass than make someone else work for you?” Malfoy asked. Hermione groaned. She knew she shouldn’t have said that.

[Back Home - 9 PM]

“You ready yet?” Blaise called through Hermione’s door. She was getting ready to go to the club ‘Hypnotic’.

“Nearly!” She replied frustrated as she put on her lip-gloss. Blaise groaned.

“You’ve been getting ready for an hour. Malfoy and I were ready in fifteen minutes!”

“Ok, for starters, I’m a girl. I’m allowed to take longer than guys to get ready. Two, that explains why you two will still look a mess and I won’t. I’m ready now.”

“Finally!” Blaise muttered.

“I heard that!” Hermione called. She opened her door to see Blaise standing there looking very annoyed. He motioned for her to follow him. He led her to the living area where Malfoy was waiting for them.

“And it’s about time. How long does it take for a-” Malfoy stopped in mid sentence when he saw Hermione. Although he hated to admit, she looked great. Even though she was now his best friend’s sister he didn’t like her any more than he did when she was ‘Granger’. Despite this, he found himself wondering whenever she got so damn gorgeous. She had straightened her dark hair so it was flowing down her back and was wearing a sparkly green tube top and a pair of low, tight fitting jeans. Her eye make up was dazzling. She had on thick, green, sparkly eye shadow and what looked like fake eye lashes. They were actually real; she had just used a lot of mascara.

“Can we get going?” Blaise asked impatiently, a little freaked out by the fact that his best friend was staring at his sister dreamily. Malfoy snapped out of his trance.

“Uh, yeah. Let’s go.” He said as he picked up some of the green powder by the fire place and threw it into the small fire. Large emerald flames willed the grate and before they knew it, Malfoy was engulfed by them after shouting ‘Hypnotic’. Blaise did the same leaving Hermione in the living room on her own. She looked down at the sparkly watch she had bought that day. It was 9:15 PM. Their curfew was 1 AM. Apparently Hypnotic got a bit ugly soon after. Sighing, she picked up the powder and stepped before the fire place. She threw her powder in and stepped into the grate.

[At the Club]

Hermione’s jaw dropped when she entered the through the main doors to the club. It was amazing. It was a non-muggle club so there were sparkly lights hovering around, large crystal balls hanging from various parts of the ceiling, a bar that seemed to stretch on forever and every colour of drink you could think of. There was no age limit so people of every age group were there.

“This place is amazing.” She said quietly. As Blaise and Malfoy made their way over to some seats in the corner, Hermione headed up to the bar to get herself a drink. A young guy bartender, who looked no older than 18, came across to her. He was definitely cute according to Hermione. He was tanned with black, tousled hair and the most amazing brown eyes she had ever seen.

“What can I get you Miss?” He asked in a charming voice. Hermione smiled shyly.

“Just a Butterbeer please.”

“You sure that’s it?” He asked, flashing her a heart melting grin. She nodded. He walked over to the back of the bar and returned with a mug full of Butterbeer. As Hermione put her hand in her bag to get her purse he put his hand on her arm to stop her.

“This one’s on me.” He winked. Hermione blushed.

“Are you sure. I’ve got the money right-”

“I’m sure. I’m Aaron by the way.”

“I’m Hermione.” She said holding out her hand to shake his. He took it and shook it lightly before letting go.

“That’s a beautiful name. Very unusual.”

“Uh, I guess this is a little forward but I get off work here at ten if you fancy doing something. I mean, it doesn’t seem like you came with anyone.” Aaron asked.

“Actually, I’m here with my brother and his friend but when you get off, you could stay here and keep me company. Sitting with them isn’t exactly comfortable for me.” Hermione said hopefully. She really wanted him to say yes. Even though she had pestered Blaise to let her come, she didn’t exactly want to sit with him and Malfoy the entire night whilst they chatted up girls.

“Yeah, that’d be great.” Aaron replied. Hermione smiled.

“Well, I’ll probably just be sitting here until you get off. Or maybe on the dance floor if I feel daring enough.”

“See you at ten then.” Aaron said before making his way over to another customer.

[Blaise and Malfoy]

“Was that bartender guy just hitting on her?” Blaise asked Malfoy who seemed to be wondering the same thing.

“Dunno. Sure looked like it.” Malfoy replied. Blaise narrowed his eyes.

“When I get my hands on-” Blaise growled before being cut off by Malfoy.

“Chill it. I’m sure Grang- I, uh, I mean Hermione is old enough to look after herself.”

“Yeah but-”

“No buts. Leave her alone. Would you have been acting like this about her a week ago?”

“No but-”

“I said no buts! You know, she might be your sister now, but she’s still the same person. She is still Hermione Granger. Remember, the same Hermione Granger we have taunted since our first year in Hogwarts, the same Hermione Granger who has gotten us detention umpteen times, the same Hermione Granger who is best friends with our biggest enemies - Potter and Weasley.”

“So you still hate her?” Blaise asked. Malfoy shook his head.

“I don’t hate her. I severely dislike her. I know she’s your sister buy I can’t just put all those years behind me like that. It’s different for you.”

“Yeah, whatever.” Blaise said shrugging his shoulders.

[Hermione - 10:05 PM]

Hermione had just finished drinking her Butterbeer when Aaron appeared beside her. He had changed from the work T-shirt he had been wearing and was now wearing a light blue T-shirt with black writing sprawled across it and faded jeans.

“So, you weren’t brave enough to face the dance floor then?” He asked, causing Hermione to twirl on her chair in shock.

“Oh, hi.” She laughed. “You shouldn’t creep up on people like that. Might give someone a heart attack.”

“Well, we wouldn’t want that now would we?” He asked. Hermione giggled.

“I see you’ve finished your drink.” He said motioning to the empty Butterbeer mug. Hermione nodded.

“Yeah, I was just about to get myself another before you popped up.”

“And what were you going to get?” He asked flirtatiously.

“Well, I was thinking about an Estus. I’ve they’re the newest drink to hit the bars.”

“Yeah, they’re good. So you getting one?”

“Yeah, I think I will.”

“Hey, Mike!” Aaron called to another bartender. A young guy came over and stood before them.

“Hey Aaron, what can I get ya?”

“I’ll have a Firewhiskey, and an Estus for the lady.” He said. Mike looked from Hermione back to Aaron.

“You’re with him?” He asked Hermione amused.

“Uh, yeah, why?” Hermione asked laughing.

“Oh, nothing. Just don’t see why a gorgeous girl such as yourself would be sitting here with Aaron of all guys.” He said. Aaron punched him on the arm.

“The drinks?” He asked.

“Oh right, the drinks. Just a sec.” Mike said as he disappeared to the back of the bar. He returned within seconds with their drinks. “That’ll be one Galleon and four Knuts please.” As he handed the pair their drinks. As Hermione’s hand left the bar counter to reach for her bag she was stopped again by Aaron.

“I go it.” He said handing the money over to Mike.

“I can’t let you buy me another. Really, I have-”

“It’s cool okay. Just let me buy you it as a thank you for hanging out with me.”

“Well, thanks I guess.” Hermione said smiling as she picked up her drink.

“No problem. So, are you still at school then?” Aaron asked, taking a sip of his Firewhiskey.

“Yeah. I’m in my sixth year at Hogwarts. I got the weekend away to visit my family. You?”

“I’m in my seventh year at Durmstrung. We get to go home at weekends.”

“So who’s your brother then?” Aaron asked, trying to keep a conversation going.

“Uh, he’s up in the back corner. He should be next to a guy with really blonde hair.” Hermione said as Aaron scanned the room to see them. When his eyes fell on Malfoy and Blaise his eyes widened.

“You’re Blaise Zabini’s sister?” He asked quite shocked.

“You know him?” Hermione asked. Aaron nodded.

“Yeah, we were friends before high school. Drifted apart after that.”

“Oh, maybe you should go over and speak to him. I’m sure he’d love to see you again.”

“Nah, he’s with Draco Malfoy.”

“You don’t get on with him?”

“I did. The three of us were good friends. Then when I was ten I had a huge argument with him. Never really spoke to him again. That’s one of the reasons Blaise and I drifted.”

“Oh. I don’t like Malfoy myself to be honest. Never got on with him. Oh well. So what you up to the rest of this weekend?” Hermione asked changing the topic. She didn’t really want to be talking to this guy about her brother and Malfoy.

“Nothing much. Just working here tomorrow and then back to school. What about you?” He asked taking another sip of his Firewhiskey. Hermione shrugged.

“Probably just spend time with my family no doubt. I don’t go back to school until Wednesday. They’re setting up the halls for our talent show so classes are cancelled on Monday and Tuesday.”

“Lucky you.” Aaron smiled.

[Blaise and Malfoy - 12:40 AM]

“Hey, what’s up with you?” Malfoy asked Blaise as they returned from the dance floor and sat back down in their seats. They had been chatting some girls up but Blaise didn’t seem too interested. He seemed to be staring at the guy who was talking to Hermione. She had been with him all night. She had even danced with him at one point!

“Nothing.” Blaise replied shortly. Malfoy raised an eyebrow.

“You’re not still giving that guy evils are you?” Malfoy asked.

“There’s something about him.” He replied. At that moment, the guy turned around to look at the back of the club and Blaise nearly choked. “Holy-”

“What?” Malfoy asked.

“Look at him. Look at him. Don’t tell me he doesn’t look familiar. Don’t you recognise him?” Blaise asked. Malfoy turned to look at the guy Blaise seemed to be obsessed with. Come to think of it he did look kind of familiar. He actually looked a bit like… no, it couldn’t be. He hadn’t seen him in about six years.

“Holy cow, is that Aaron Thorn? Wait ‘til I get my hand on that son of a bitch!”

Chapter 19: Stuck

Author’s Note - Hey guys! New chapter for you all. Hope you like it. It’s not very exciting, but I still put a lot of work into it so review please. Thanks.

Disclaimer - I do not own Harry Potter.

At The Club

“Draco, stop!” Blaise groaned as he pulled on his friend’s shirt trying to pull him back to his seat. Malfoy spun around to face Blaise with an astonished look on his face.

“What the hell? Do you not remember what he did to me?” Malfoy ranted. Blaise rolled his eyes.

“For goodness sake, you should be over that by now! It was six years ago! I’m sure he regrets it now.”

“I don’t care. I wanna kill him!”

“Tough. You are not going to kill him over that. Besides, it’s about time we got heading home anyways. It’s nearly 1 AM.”

“Fine. But I will get him eventually.”

“Mmhmm, whatever. Let’s go and get Hermione and you keep your mouth shut. Don‘t even attempt to start anything up with Aaron.”

The two headed over to Hermione and Aaron, Malfoy with his eyes burning with anger and Blaise looking slightly bemused at his friend’s behaviour. As they reached Hermione, Blaise tapped her from behind on the shoulder. She turned around quickly and gave him a questioning look.

“We gotta go.” He said pointing to his watch. Hermione nodded and turned back to Aaron, who was staring intensely at her.

“Sorry Aaron, I gotta go. You’ve got my number right?” Hermione asked. Aaron nodded. He had become slightly uncomfortable now that he was in the company of his two former friends, especially since one was trying to burn a hole through his head.

“Well I’ll see you later then.” Hermione said as she began to make her way towards the exit.

“Yeah, later.” Aaron replied.

Back At The Zabini Manor

“So, I see you’ve made friends with Aaron Thorn then?” Blaise questioned as the three of them walked up one of the long corridors. Hermione turned to look at him.

“So you recognised him then?”

“Course we recognised him! He’s hard to forget.” Malfoy butted in. Hermione glared at him.

“Well, to answer your question, yes, I have made friends with him. He said he’d call me tomorrow.”

“Well be careful. I know what he’s like.” Blaise commented. Hermione shot him a glare.

“How the hell can you know what he is like. You haven’t seen him for six years!”

“Well I can tell what he is like.” Blaise tried to reason.

“Will you stop being so judgemental!” Hermione snapped as she stopped outside her bedroom door. “You’re doing my head in!” With that, she walked into her room and slammed the door behind her.

“What the hell is up with her?” Blaise asked incredulously. Malfoy shrugged.

“Girls. Who can honestly understand them?” He replied.

“Pfft, yeah.” Blaise said before heading for his bedroom.

Sunday 14th September

Hermione rolled over in her bed and looked at her alarm clock sleepily. She had just woken up from a very deep sleep. She squinted her eyes trying to read the digits on the alarm clock. She could make out a very fuzzy 11:55 AM. WHAT?!? Her mind screamed. She never slept this late. Not ever. Surely the clock was fast. She sat up in the bed and looked out of her window. Nope, the clock had to be right. The daylight was far too bright for her usual waking time. Cursing, she climbed out of the bed reluctantly, and headed over to her wardrobe. She pulled out the first outfit that came to hand. She didn’t really care what it was. It turned out to be a pair of baggy jeans and a tight fitting, white strap top. She looked at her hair in the mirror. It looked fine. It had returned to its normal ringlets. She left her room and headed for the kitchen. Like yesterday, only Malfoy was there.

“Rough night Granger?” He asked without looking up from the paper he was reading.

“Where is everyone?” Hermione asked, choosing not to answer him.

“Out. Visiting a friend of Gabrielle’s. They were gonna take you, but decided to let you have you ‘beauty sleep’ they called it. I can’t say it’s done you any good.” He said looking up and smirking. Hermione glowered at him.

“And I was left with you because…?”

“I too was sleeping. They left me a note. You think I would have stayed if I had known I would be stuck with you until 1 PM?”

“Whatever. Hey, is that letter for me?” She asked pointing to a brown envelope in the centre of the kitchen table.”

“Yeah, though I don’t know who would be writing you letters.”

“Shut up. I have more friends than you ever will.” She retorted picking up the envelope.

“Yeah right. All you have are the Weasels and Pothead.”

“I’ll have you know that nearly everyone in Gryffindor are my friends and I have many muggle friends who you never will meet.”

“Thank heavens for that.”

Hermione chose to ignore him and opened her letter. It was from Ginny.

Hey ‘Mione.
How’s you ‘family visit’ holding up then? Killed anyone yet? I hope not. Well just writing to let you know that I’m coming home early. I remember you asked me to stay with you and if the offer still stands then I’ll come. Just hope I don’t regret offering. Well write back and let me know.
Ginny x

“YES!!” Hermione shrieked whilst throwing a really hard air punch. Malfoy looked up in shock at her sudden outburst and had ‘WTF’ written all over his face.

“What in heavens are you so happy about.”

“She’s coming, she’s coming!” Hermione said in a sing song voice whilst dancing around the kitchen. Malfoy seemed very disturbed by this sudden change in personality.

“Who is?”

“GINNY! She’s coming to stay here with me until we go back!”

“You’re kidding?”

“Would I be dancing like this if I was kidding?”

Malfoy groaned and let his head hit the table. This was great. Just great!

12:30 PM

Hermione had replied to Ginny saying that she was more than happy for her to come and live the torture with her. She was now wandering around the Manor trying to find something to do. Malfoy was also off hiding somewhere, but she had no idea where. She started walking down another corridor when she heard music emerging from one of the rooms. Curious she headed towards it. The door was being propped open with a door stopper. She kicked it out of the way so she could swing the door open further for her to enter. What she saw when she entered surprised her beyond belief. Malfoy was playing acoustic guitar and hadn’t noticed her enter.

“I didn’t know you could play guitar.” She commented, almost making Malfoy jump out of his skin.

“What the hell! You can’t sneak up on people like that! You nearly gave me a heart attack!”

“So sorry!” She replied sarcastically. “I’ll just leave you and your music and be gone then.”

Malfoy glared at her. She smirked and turned back to the door to open it. She tugged at it. It didn’t open. She stared at it confused before pushing it. It still didn’t open.

“Or not.” She said meekly.

“What?” Malfoy asked annoyed.

“The door is stuck.”

“Just get out will you!”

“How can I if the door is stuck you moron?”

“How can it be stuck?” He asked angrily before getting up to attempt opening it himself.

“I know how to open a door Malfoy! It’s stuck!”

“Trust you!”

“Well I didn’t tell it to stick did I? Like I would wanna be stuck in this tiny room with you!”

“Oh god!”

“What now?” Malfoy asked aggravated.

“I’m stuck here with you in such a small room! I’m gonna die!” She said dramatically.

“Oh shut up will you, I’m sure you’ll live.”

“What are we going to do?” She asked, dreading his answer.

“Wait for someone to find us.” He said shrugging. Hermione groaned. That is exactly what she didn’t want to hear.

12:45 PM

Malfoy and Hermione were sitting in opposite sides of the room in complete silence. Malfoy looked up at her. She had her head propped up by her hand and was staring aimlessly at the floor. It was now he began to realise how gorgeous she was. Although he had thought the same last night, that was when she was all dolled up. Now, she was just normal Hermione. He had never really taken the time to actually look at her properly. That sounded crazy considering he had seen her for the last six years, but it was true. He tried to shake the thoughts out of his head but he couldn’t. He turned away from here.

“Are we just gonna sit here in silence bored out of her minds or can we actually speak about something?” Hermione said suddenly. Malfoy looked at her amazed. She actually wanted to speak to him? That was crazy!

“What?” He asked stupidly.

“For goodness sakes Malfoy, as much as we hate each other, surely we can make conversation until someone finds us. Silence is so boring.”

“Yeah well, you got us locked in here so it’s your fault we’re sitting here in silence.”

“Get over it Malfoy!”

“No, I’m stuck in here absolutely starving because you decided to spy on me.”

“Spy?!? I sure as hell was not spying on you!”

“Whatever.” He replied. Hermione groaned to herself. It wasn’t so bad that she was locked in a room, but she was locked in it with the most arrogant and stubborn person she knew. How she would get through it, she had no idea.

Chapter 20: Bickering, Vents and Phone Calls
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Author’s Note - Hey everyone. Once again, a very long wait for this chapter. Sorry. Three months I think it’s been since my last update. So much has happened in that time. I have turned 16, sat many exams, started the school holidays and lazed around. So not that much actually lol. Well, I have no excuse for the long wait but I really do hope you enjoy this chapter. I added little more Dramione and obviously some bickering. The following chapters will contain more humour, I promise.

Disclaimer - If I owned Harry Potter, I would definitely not be writing fan fiction. Especially about my own story. That would be rather sad lol.

Review Thanks - Wow, the last chapter received more than 100 reviews. Thank you so much everyone. Let’s see if we can do it again *hint hint* lol.

Sunday 14th September

Half an hour had passed since Hermione had accidentally locked herself and Malfoy in a small room inside the Zabini Manor. She had been cursing inside her head the whole time. Malfoy was being stubborn and made no effort to make conversation, which in Hermione’s opinion, may have passed the time until they were found. But no, a small amount of civilised conversation was too much to ask from the obnoxious, pathetic excuse for a human being across the room from her. She lifted her head up to look at him. He was wearing a pair of jeans and a black T-Shirt. He looked just as he did the day before. Hermione was again staring at him, wondering when on earth he had gotten so good looking. She reprimanded herself for thinking such thoughts and jumped at the sound of her mobile phone ringing shrilly. Malfoy also jumped. Hermione picked up her pink clamshell phone at looked at the caller ID. It was a number she didn’t recognise. She flipped it open and placed it to her ear.

“Hello?” She said. Malfoy stared at her. Who was calling her, he wanted to know.

“Oh hi Aaron, I forgot all about you calling me today.”

On second thoughts, he wished he didn’t know.

“I’m great, how are you?”

Malfoy gritted his teeth. He didn’t know why he was getting so annoyed. Surely the memory of his old friend who had betrayed him six years ago wasn’t bothering him this bad. No, it wasn’t that. He knew fine well why he was annoyed but he didn’t want to admit it to himself. It was because of who Aaron was speaking to. He didn’t want him speaking to Hermione for some odd reason, and he had no idea why.

“Really?” Hermione asked appalled. Malfoy raised one of his eyebrows curiously. “I can’t believe your school flooded. And you’re off for the rest of the week?”

Malfoy groaned.

“Sure, I’d love to meet up tomorrow.”

He started choking. Had he swallowed his tongue? It sure felt like it. Why was this bothering him so much.

“Oh Merlin, I forgot, I’m not sure that will work actually now I think of it. I have my friend coming over and I don’t want to leave her. That wouldn’t be very fair.”

Yes! She couldn’t go.

“Well I suppose I can ask my parents if you could come over for lunch and then maybe an hour or so afterwards. Ginny would love to meet you.”

Damn! He was coming over. Even worse.

“I’ll speak to my parents about it. I’ll give you a call to let you know. See ya!”

Hermione ended the call, stored the number and flipped the phone shut before stuffing it into her pocket. She stole a glance at Malfoy and was satisfied to see that he looked pissed off. A slam could be heard from downstairs. Hermione jumped up. They were back! The Zabini’s were back. Finally, she was getting out of this stupid room.

“Don’t get too excited.” Malfoy said grumpily. Hermione looked at him questioningly.

“The room has a silence charm on it. When the door is shut no noise can escape it.”

“I know very well what a silencing charm is thank you.” Hermione snapped. “Do you not think this information would have been useful a little earlier?”

Hermione groaned. How on earth were they getting out of there? Suddenly something caught her eye. There was a vent in the ceiling. It looked big enough for her to climb through. Actually, it looked big enough for Malfoy to climb through.

“You idiot!” She proclaimed. Malfoy looked up at her in shock.

“There’s a vent up there.”

“No kidding? What about it?”

“Are you insane?”

“Are you? You’re the one ranting on about a vent.”

“You are even more stupid than I thought.”

“YOU are even more frustrating than I thought.”

“Shut up.”

“You shut up.”

“No, you!”

“For the love of Merlin, will you just tell me what you are trying to get at.”

“Go then.”

“I’m going! We could climb up there and crawl through and get to another vent in the living room or something. The we would be out.”

Malfoy silenced. He really was stupid. Not that he would admit it aloud. Why hadn’t he thought of that? Not for the first time, Grang- Hermione had won the argument. Finally he spoke.

“I’m going up first.”

“No you’re not. This was my idea. I go first.”

“And how will you get up there shorty? You’ll need me to either hoist or pull you up. I opt for pulling.”

This time Hermione silenced. He was right. He was a good few inches taller and there was no way she could get up there on her own.

“Fine.” She growled. Malfoy smirked triumphantly. He had won this time. He moved underneath the vent, stretched up and unlatched it. It swung up leaving a 70 centimetre by 60 centimetre hole in the roof. He stretched up again as far as he could, his T-Shirt rising as he did. Hermione, unfortunately, noticed this and could not help but stare at his toned, muscular abdomen. He pulled himself swiftly up into the air vent and disappeared from view. He quickly reappeared and seemed to be straddled over the open vent. He stuck his arms down through the space between his knees so to help Hermione up. She looked up nervously.

“Come on, we haven’t got all day.” Malfoy said suddenly, his hair falling in front of him slightly. Hermione reached up and grabbed his arms. As he began to lift her, he was surprised that she wasn’t that heavy. It still wasn’t an easy lift though considering the position he was in. As she neared, he carefully put one hand underneath hers and then repeated the action with his other hand. It was the same way you would lift a small child. Hermione, realising the sudden change in lift, clutched him on the shoulder and around the neck. Malfoy leaned backwards and pulled Hermione towards him so as not to bang her head off of the roof of the vent. His back collided with the bottom of it and Hermione was now laying on top of him. Both seemed to be staring into the others eyes. After realising the position they were in they both turned pink. It was an extremely awkward moment. After seeing there was enough space, Hermione rolled off of Malfoy and lay next to him. She was surprised at how roomy these vents were.

“Well, um, we’d better get going.” Malfoy said awkwardly. Hermione nodded. The both shuffled along side by side for what seemed like hours. Finally they reached another opening in the vent. It was above a bedroom. Hermione obviously couldn’t recognise it as she had only ever seen her own.

“It’s one of the Guest Rooms.” Malfoy said, realising that Hermione would not recognise it.

“One of? How many are there exactly?” Hermione asked.

“Well there’s your parents room, Blaise’s room, I have a room here as do my parents, four luxury guest rooms and three normal. My Manor is roughly the same.”

Hermione had known that the Manor had been big, but not that big! She peered through the vent. Luckily there was a bed directly beneath it. Nice, soft landing. She swung the vent open and readied herself to jump. She was just about to have another look at the six foot drop when she felt herself being shoved. She shrieked loudly and landed with a thud on the bed. She rolled over and glared at Malfoy who was laughing himself silly. Had she not been so angry with him, she would have enjoyed watching him. She had rarely seen him laugh. Well not like that anyway. She climbed off of the bed and Malfoy landed with a thud behind her. She turned around. He was still laughing! She shook her head. Boy, he amused himself easily.

Ten Minutes Later

“Where on EARTH have you two been?” A voice called. Hermione and Malfoy had been walking down one of the corridors and were startled by the sudden noise behind them. The turned around to see Blaise looking very out of breath. He was panting and his cheeks were extremely red.

“Stuck in a vent.” Hermione said simply. Malfoy laughed. There was something amusing about the way she said it, but the look he received from his friend quickly shut him up.

“I’m not kidding, where were you two? I’ve been hunting for you everywhere.”

“We got stuck in the silencing room and had to get out through the vents. Honestly.” Malfoy said. Blaise rose a disbelieving eyebrow but chose not to question them further.

“Mum and Dad are waiting for you in the living area. They want to talk to you about something.” Blaise said to Hermione. “In private.” He added bitterly, clearly annoyed that he didn’t know what the meeting was about. He jerked his head at Malfoy, indicating that he go with him. They both started to head up the corridor in the opposite direction to what Hermione could only have guessed was Blaise’s room. She walked briskly down the remainder of the corridor and into the living area where her parents were patiently waiting for her. Upon noticing her arrival, Gabrielle beckoned for her to sit in one of the armchairs across from the couch where she and Adrian were sitting. The second she had sat down, Gabrielle started to speak.

“You’re probably wondering why we are wanting to speak with you.” She said. Hermione nodded. “We understand that you have not yet come to terms with the fact of you being a Zabini and we are aware that it may take a long time. Well according to Dumbledore anyway. We feel that we should explain our full reasons for giving you up for adoption at such a young age. Do you want to know?”

Hermione gulped. She had been desperate to know the full details, but now she was actually going to find out. She nodded her head nervously.

“Very well. Back when you were born, times were very dark. The Dark Lord would prey on young children and was known for snatching them to try and raise them. He would snatch only the children of powerful families and raise them to be his loyal Death Eaters. After his run in with Harry Potter, the Death Eaters decided to carry on his disgusting deeds. When they found out that we had had twins, they decided that because we were ‘one of them’ they would take only one. The opted for you. We didn’t want you raised in the cruel way they would so we decided to put you up for adoption and say you died. The wouldn’t take our child if we had only one. They were strange like that. After giving you up, we tried to cut off ties from the Death Eaters, saying we were traumatised by your death. It worked. We are no longer in the inner circle for Voldemort but he does contact us now and again. We barely have anything to do with him now but he has began to become suspicious of our loyalties. We have informed Dumbledore and he has promised us that he will do all he can in his power to keep us safe.”

Hermione was struggling to keep up with it all. She knew they were near the end of their meeting though because Gabrielle now looked considerably happier. She lifted a very antique box off of the table and handed it to Hermione.

“We want you to have what is inside it. It’s a gift to say we are sorry for everything that has happened. Take extremely good care of it. It is priceless.”

Hermione opened the box to reveal a gorgeous ring. It looked absolutely ancient though. It was encrusted with various rare jewels, gems and diamonds. On the inside was an inscription. Hermione peered closer to read it. ‘Zabini. Goblin Made. Created 1349.”

“It is the earliest family heirloom we have.” Adrian said. Hermione smiled as her eyes watered.

“Thank you very much.” She croaked as she slipped the ring on her finger. Her parents grinned back. “Oh, I almost forgot, could my friend Ginny stay? And could my other friend, you may know him, Aaron Thorn, visit me tomorrow?”

“Oh we haven’t seen Aaron in years. Yes, of course, Ginny can stay and Aaron can visit.”

Hermione stood from the chair and exited the living room, happier than she had been all weekend. She could hardly wait until Ginny arrived. The rest of the weekend would definitely be fun. Blaise and Malfoy won’t know what’s hit them, she thought grinning evilly.

Chapter 21: Lunch, Strange Feelings and a New Character
[Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

MAJOR UPDATE JUNE 2010: I am currently in the process of re-writing all of my stories. It has been almost 3 years since I last updated and my ideas and writing style has somewhat changed since then. My apologies for the wait everyone! I promise, many updates will be coming your way soon, in most cases, my stories are being completely re-written and re-posted. Watch this space!

Author’s Note -
Hey everyone. OK, I know this has been the longest wait yet and I am dreadfully sorry. I have left school since writing the last chapter and am now working full-time which I am finding very difficult. It’s very hard to fit the time in to update. I will really try to update more often. I will try to have the next chapter up by May.

Disclaimer - If I owned Harry Potter, I sure as hell would not be slaving away for 39 hours per week on minimum wage I’ll tell you that.

Thanks - I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who reviewed. I have hit more than 1700 reviews. I am amazed. So thank you so much to anyone who has ever reviewed and keep it up please.

Competition - Ok, first off, the response to the competition was unbelievable. I spent many hours searching through all of the entrants trying to pick three winners. It proved very difficult. Everyone’s character idea’s were great and original but unfortunately I could only choose three. The part of Draco’s ex-girlfriend transferring to Hogwarts is great lioness with the character Cherise Paradis. The part of the Zabini cousin is from ladywitch with the character Annalisa Zabini. And the final part of Blaise’s ex girlfriend goes to loving_London with Megan Hazell. Well done all!

Monday 15th September

Hermione stood in the bathroom looking at herself intensely in the mirror. Aaron would be arriving soon and she didn’t know why she was so nervous about it. She had never been nervous around guys before. Sure, Aaron was cute, but surely she couldn’t be getting this nervous over him. She had picked her outfit carefully the night before. She had on a black T-Shirt with bright splashes of graffiti scrawled across it and loose fitting jeans. She wanted to look casual, like she had not put too much effort in. Ginny coughed from the other room causing Hermione to snap back to reality.

Ginny had arrived the night before at around 6 PM. Nothing exciting had happened. Ginny met the family (she was still shocked that they were Zabini’s), and Hermione informed her of all the events that had happened that weekend. They stayed up until up 1 AM raiding the cupboards and fridges for girlie munch and ate as much ice cream as they could without being sick.

Now it was 11:45 AM the next morning and Aaron was due any minute. She was just starting to adjust her hair when her mother called up.

“Hermione, Aaron is here.”

Hermione gulped. She couldn’t get rid of the odd butterflies in her stomach. She walked through to her bedroom where Ginny was waiting. She grinned up at her friend, knowing only too well how she was feeling. She used to fell like that every time she set eyes upon Harry.

“Don’t worry ‘Mione, you’ll be fine.” She tried to reassure her although she knew it wouldn’t be much help. Hermione forced a grin and walked out of the room closely followed by Ginny. As she reached the dining area, she could see Aaron exchanging pleasantries with her parents. Hermione walked in and cleared her throat. Aaron looked up and smiled as he set eyes upon her. Hermione flashed him one back. Malfoy, who was sulking at the other end of the room after being warned by Blaise that no negative comments were to be made to Aaron, frowned. Why did he feel like this? Why did he feel, dare he say it…. Jealous? He didn’t know why, but watching Hermione smile at Aaron like that made him want to start violently attacking Aaron. He tried to shake the thoughts and feelings from his head but to no avail, so he continued to sulk. Gabrielle spoke up.

“So what’s everyone wanting for lunch?”

Draco could be heard muttering, “Anything except that bloody Vindaloo!”

An Hour Later

Everyone had finished their meal and Gabrielle had started to clear up. It had been a rather awkward experience. Draco glaring at Aaron, Blaise glaring at Draco for glaring at Aaron, and Adrian glaring at both of the boys for being so rude to be glaring during lunch. Gabrielle, Hermione, Ginny and Aaron had been oblivious to the three males glaring at one and other. They had chatted about various things such as favourite sports, school, what they planned to do in the future etc.

Everything had now been cleared away and Ginny was in deep conversation with Gabrielle about some new fashion handbags. Blaise and Malfoy had disappeared and Adrian was reading a book. Hermione found it a perfect time to show Aaron around the manor (even thought she barely know her way around it herself). She led him from the dining room into the corridor and started the tour.

“This house is so much bigger than I remember it.” Aaron commented. Hermione laughed.

“Of course, I almost forget you came here as a child. You would probably be best off showing me around.”

“It’s been years since I’ve been here, I can barely remember it.”

“Well I’ll do my best to chauffeur you around but I’ll probably end up lost.”

They continued to wander around the manor until finally they reached Hermione’s room. She pushed the door open and he followed her inside.

“Wow, you’re room is massive.” He commented. Hermione nodded in reply. He stopped to stare at her for minute. “I’ve really enjoyed myself today Hermione.”

“Yeah me too, I’m glad you kept me company at the club last night.” Hermione laughed.

“Well I couldn’t leave a lovely lady such as yourself sitting there by herself all night now, could I?”

“I suppose not.” Hermione smiled as Aaron stepped closer. She found herself getting lost in his pale blue eyes. Before she knew it, their lips had met and he was guiding her back to the bed. Wrapping her hands around his neck she deepened the kiss, allowing their tongues to meet. His hands found their way to her back and were inching lower towards her rear. Her legs suddenly collided with the foot of the bed and she fell back, Aaron crashing down on top of her. The warmth of his body against hers felt amazing. She gasped as his hands slipped up her T-Shirt and began to creep up towards her bra. She felt a few of his fingers slip underneath the wire when she felt reality hit her. She couldn’t let this go much further or she’d regret it. She broke from the kiss and panted, “Sorry it’s going too fast.”

Aaron rolled off of her. “It’s ok,” he smiled. “I understand. I’d best be off anyway, my mum’s expecting me home in ten minutes. Hermione nodded and walked him to the front door.

“I’ll write or call you this week.” Aaron said to her before giving her a quick peck on the lips. Hermione smiled to herself and closed the door behind him. That had been amazing. The only thing that disturbed her was that she had pictured him as Malfoy the entire time.

Later That Night - 7PM

It had now been a few hours since Aaron had gone and Hermione could not get the scenario of them making out in her head. Why had she pictured Malfoy kissing her instead? Why did she keep seeing him in place of Aaron every time she shut her eyes. It was creeping her out to say the least. She hadn’t dared to tell Ginny. She probably never would. How exactly do you tell someone that you are all-of-a-sudden picturing yourself making out with your enemy of six years and see him every time you shut your eyes? There’s no way Ginny would understand. Hell, she didn’t understand herself. She had absolutely no feelings for Malfoy. She just didn’t, ok!? Losing herself in these crazy thoughts, Hermione collapsed back onto her bed. Ginny was currently wondering around somewhere, she wasn’t quite sure where, but she wasn’t complaining. Peace was exactly what she needed right now.

Meanwhile, not far from Hermione’s room, Malfoy was sitting alone in one of the guest rooms, sprawled across the bed deep in thought. His situation almost mirrored Hermione’s. He could not get her out of his head. He couldn’t understand why, but he felt crazy jealous of Aaron that afternoon. And he couldn’t even blame it on their tiff years ago. It had all been rather stupid actually, but Malfoy was not one to forget. Aaron had stolen his the girlfriend. She was an absolute beauty. Looked like someone who had stepped out of a Vogue magazine. And that was when she was only ten years old! Here’s to what she must look like now, he thought. Anyway, his girl had done the dirty on him behind his back with his so called best friend. When he found out, he had completely lost it. Vowed never to talk to Aaron again and cut him out of his life there and then. Blaise was right. He really should be over that by now. No, it was because he was getting close to Hermione as much as he hated to admit it. He was sure he had no feelings for her, so why was he feeling jealous of Aaron? The whole time at dinner he had kept thinking to himself how much he would have loved to have been in Aaron’s position. Hence the fact he had glared at him the entire time. Something which Blaise informed him of after Hermione and Aaron had disappeared. Smacking his forehead and sitting upright on the bed, he reprimanded himself for letting himself get too carried away with these thoughts. It must have just been some silly stage he was going through. Because there was no way he could ever begin to have feelings for Hermione Grang- erm, Zabini. It wasn’t possible!

Some Miles Away In France

Looking into her large Victorian mirror, she could see her piercing blue eyes staring back at her. They sparkled as she studied herself and knew that she could draw almost anyone in with them. She had been told on many occasions that she had the most beautiful eyes anyone had ever seen. She did not agree. While everyone else claimed that they were so alive, so breathtaking, only she could see the insecurities masked behind them. She was a master at masking her emotions. She could always see the sad twinkle in her eye that everyone else seemed to miss. That was because they never looked closely enough. They looked only at her shell of a body and saw the utmost beauty. Her long, dirty blonde hair descending into soft waves down her back. Her pale, porcelain like skin and petite frame making her seem almost fragile. Her perfectly white teeth which she flashed whenever she wanted something, and doing so, nearly always got it.

She was a girl used to getting what she wanted. She had no friends. She didn’t need them, she always told herself. She could get by on her own. She had done so far the past sixteen years. Her parents had basically left her to fend for herself. The doted on her brother and saw her as an unfortunate mistake. Money was never an object. Instead of showing her love or any emotion at all they just threw money at her whenever she asked, as if to just be rid of her. The only kind of love she ever received was purely physical. There was no man on Earth who had ever turned her down. Sex was her way of letting everything go. She would put everything into it. The feeling of being held by another was amazing. It only ever lasted an hour or two before she would leave, feeling emptier than ever. But the more she did it, the more she craved it. She would never have a relationship. She was too afraid of being burned. Their had only ever been one person she had loved. She smiled in the mirror as she though of him. It had been a childhood romance, but never-the-less, she had loved him. But she had ruined it. After he broke it off, she vowed never to date another boy or man again.

But now, here she was, looking at an acceptance letter to Hogwarts in front of her. She had desperately been waiting for this letter for months. Finally, she would see the only boy she had ever loved again. She wanted him back, and she would be damned if she didn’t get him. He would be the only person she would ever break her ‘No dating’ rule for.

She wanted Draco Malfoy. And Cherise Paradis always got what she wanted.
