The New AMAZING Banner made by Sammm @ TDA

This story is abandoned for now. I completely lost the inspartion to write it. I might pick it back up in the future, but as of right now I am not writing on it.

Chapter 22: Another Dream

A/N: All right, so this summer has been hectic for me and I didn't get much writing done. This chapter is hurried and I probably will go back and redo it, since I didn't give it the time it needed. I still got the main point out though and I hope you enjoy it. SOrry it took me so long to update!

The beaten down shack smelled of dirty socks and mildew, making Hermione’s nose crinkle in protest. The air was so smoggy it was hard for her to keep her eyes open as she looked around the barley lit room of the two room shack that they were now to call home.

“You can’t be serious.” Hermione thought aloud as her eyes drifted over the dust covered sofa and then to the walls, which had holes all in them.

“At least it isn’t a cave.” Aiden grumbled, obviously not pleased with Hermione’s reaction to his work to find a place they would be safe.

“It is worse.” Hermione sighed and shook her head. “I am sorry, Aiden. But this place doesn’t even have sturdy walls. It is getting cold outside. How will we stay warm?”

“Charms and spells.” Draco answered for Aiden making Hermione turn her attention to him. “What? It was an obvious question.”

“Aiden, isn’t there anywhere else?” Hermione tried one last time, knowing it was fruitless.

“No, Hermione. Will you just be happy with what we have?” Aiden sighed and Hermione could tell he was getting aggravated.

“Fine. Again, I am sorry.” Hermione shrugged, not really knowing what else to say.

“You and Draco have a little mattress over in that corner to sleep on.” Aiden pointed out. Hermione turned to look at the filthy mattress and wrinkled her nose, but didn’t dare say anything. “I have clean sheets in that box right there. You forget, I can read minds.” Aiden scold.

“You should probably get to sleep, Hermione. You need your rest.” Draco intervened.

“What about you? Don’t you need your rest?”

“No… well, I will eventually. It just takes a lot longer for me. You know, with being half vampire and all.” Draco explained.

“All right, fine. You guys win. I will go take a nap and get out of your hair.” Hermione threw her arms up, feeling like a five year old.

“Good.” Aiden muttered, folding his arms. Hermione bit her lip, looking at him. Something was bothering him more than her not liking the place. His head snapped to her and she knew he had heard the thought, though he didn’t say anything else.

Hermione awoke in a grimy darkness. She could feel moisture in the air and wondered if it had rain. She strained her eyes, trying to see anything, but the darkness wouldn’t have it.

“HELP!” She heard a female voice scream and she jumped to her feet. The voice echoed off her surroundings, making it impossible to tell which way the sound had came from.

“Hello!” Hermione yelled, hoping that the girl would respond. Where the hell was she?

“Boys, did you hear that?” She heard a male voice, this time much closer than the girls. This time it was right behind her.

Hermione froze to the spot she was standing on. She franticly dove her hand to her pocket to get her wand, but realized that she didn’t have a pocket. She felt around on her body and noticed she was in nothing but her underwear.

“The girl must have woken up.” Another voice said from behind her. Hermione then saw a small light come from behind her. She turned to see two guys standing there.

“How nice of you to join us, Miss Granger.” The first one sneared.

“Milachii, will be so happy that you are awake.” The second one laughed and, in unison, they grabbed her. Hermione tried to struggle against them, but they both were unbelievably strong.

It seemed like forever had gone by before they threw Hermione to cold wet floor.

“We have the girl.” The first one announced. Hermione then looked up. This room was lit just fine. She looked up at the vampire she had implanted in her mind. She then noticed someone tied up on the wall behind him.

“Britni!” Hermione yelled, trying to get up, but as soon as she attempted she was hit over the back with something long and hard, making her crash back to her knees.

“Ah, you have done well, Milachi.” A too familiar voice came into the picture. Hermione’s head snapped to the voice, thinking it couldn’t be so.

“Voldemort!” She yelled as he walked into the light. He ran a long finger down the side of Britni’s face.

“Don’t touch her, you piece of scum!” Aiden’s voice came into the equation. Hermione looked around, but she couldn’t see him. She choice not to say anything.

How the hell am I getting out of this one! Hermione thought to herself, letting her head fall.

Hermione awoke with a start as she sprang up from the mattress. It was dark again.

“AIDEN! AIDEN! AIDEN!” Hermione began yelling, sobbing now. “AIDEN! AIDEN! AIDEEEEEENNNNN!”

“Hermione, what is it?” Draco’s voice asked as a hand ran up her back.

“I have to talk to Aiden! Where is Aiden!” Hermione franticly yelled.

“He went out… said something about meeting another vampire. What is wrong?” Draco sounded worried.

“Nothing.” Hermione lied, but knew that she couldn’t tell him. She tried her best to push the dream from her mind as she lay back down. She knew she wouldn’t be able to get any sleep until she talked to Aiden, but there was no sense in worrying Draco with it. He wasn’t even a part of it.

She felt Draco lay down behind her. He ran a hand up the side of her body.

“Hermione…” Draco whispered as he pulled her shirt down over her shoulder. He then slowly kissed it, working his way back up to her neck.

“Wh…what are you doing?” Hermione stuttered, rolling over onto her back.

“I… I am not sure.” Draco admitting, tracing her face. Once he found her lips, he leaned down and took them with his own. “I just feel like it’s been forever since we could just be girlfriend boyfriend without the thought’s of attack on us. I promise, once this is over, we are going to have a simple life.”

“Will you marry me?” Draco asked.
