A Sirius/OC Story Jennivra has stopped believing in love. In her mind, fairytale love doesn't exist (anymore at least) and that dreams don't come true either. However, what she doesn't know is that good things come to those who have to wait...

Chapter 20: Hogsmeade

Chapter 20: Hogsmeade

“No…” Carisma muttered as she flung another piece of clothing behind her back.

“Would you…” Lily picked up the shirt as another one came flying towards her, landing directly over her head, “…stop doing that?” Grumbling under her breath, Lily snatched the shirt off her head and flopped down on Carisma’s bed.

“Carisma! Will you calm down?” Lily shouted.

“I can’t! What if he doesn’t like the outfit I have on? What if he doesn’t like the jewelry I have on? Oh no…oh no…” Carisma fretted as she wrung her hands anxiously. I watched in amusement as Carisma continued to talk, judge, criticize and ask herself about her choices. Lily and I were forced to stand on the side as she didn’t allow any of us to make any suggestions. The Hogsmeade visit is today. It was 7 in the morning; Carisma had purposely woken up early to prepare for her Hufflepuff date, whom was presumably so important that even her clothing choices had to be just right.

“Are you done, Carisma?” Lily yawned.

“No…no…no…no…” Carisma continued to mutter as she flipped through her growing mound of clothes.

“Are you excited?” Lily flipped around on her bed to face me.

“About what?” I replied absentmindedly.

“Sirius…” Lily answered slowly.

“OH!” I gasped. I had completely forgotten that I was supposed to meet Sirius today for Hogsmeade.

“You forgot?” Lily exclaimed in alarm.

“Sort of…” I blushed, “It’s okay, everything’s going to go fine…” I tried reassuring myself as Lily nodded in response.

“What are you going to wear?”

”Stop! You’re making me more nervous…” I started to hyperventilate. This time, even Carisma looked up.

“Are you okay, Jen?”

“Yeah…just…bit…nervous,” I said between breaths.

“Breathe…breathe…breathe…” Lily soothed.

A little less than an hour later, Carisma emerged from the bathroom, “What do you think?”

“Fabulous,” Lily and I chorused.

“If it’s good enough for you, it has to be good enough for him!” Carisma proclaimed as she started brushing her hair cheerily until her smile slid off her face.

“What’s wrong?”

“Please don’t tell me you’re wearing that to Hogsmeade,” Carisma turned around slowly.

“What’s wrong?” I asked in puzzlement. I was wearing my most comfortable jumper and a pair of faded jeans.

“No…you wear this,” Carisma threw me a newer pair of jeans and a stylish oversized white open-weaved jumper. I shrugged and pulled it on halfheartedly.

“Jen, you look beautiful,” Lily enveloped me in a hug.

Sirius’s P.O.V.

I yawned hazily and ran my fingers through my hair unconsciously. Sunlight streamed through the windows as I got off my bed and went in to the bathroom to take a shower.

“Today’s the day,” James commented as I stepped out of the bathroom. I grinned and nodded.

“Yes it is, I’m going to charm her socks off,”

“You don’t need to, she’s already smitten with you,” James asserted.

I shrugged, “I don’t know…”

“Oh well, have fun mate…I, on the other hand, have some flower hunting to do,” James winked as I shook my head at the pathetic bloke that currently had a faraway look in his eyes, no doubt dreaming of Lily and his future together.

I checked the time. Perfect. I sauntered downstairs to the common room and leaned against the couch to wait for Jen. A little while later, Carisma emerged from the staircase.

“Jen’s coming down in a bit,” Carisma noted before dashing out of the common room.

I whistled nonchalantly as a group of fourth year girls walked by, giggling and whispering to each other, possibly about me. However, somebody else seized my attention at that exact moment.

She looked absolutely breathtaking. Her hair had been curled and was now cascading down her back gracefully.

“Ready?” She grinned.

I closed my mouth and beamed, “Yeah,”

* * *

“My lady…” I held out my hand for her as she took it and laughed.

“Stop it, you’re frightening me,” She chuckled.

“I’m hurt…” I pouted.

“Stop being such a baby,” Jen slapped me playfully across the shoulder, “Where do you want to go now?”

I shrugged, “How about Madam Puddifoot’s?” I quipped.

“You’re joking right?” Jen’s expression turned to one of disbelief as I burst out laughing.

“I love you!” I gave her a friendly hug, “Thank goodness you’re not one of those girls!”

Jen blushed and laughed, “Are you that surprised?”

I shrugged sheepishly as she guffawed, “Do I really seem like one of those girls who likes pink and frills?”

“Well…I guess not,” I trailed off as Jen grinned.

“Come on!” I grabbed her hand pulled her towards the Shrieking Shack.

“Why are we here?” Jen questioned as she peered at the Shrieking Shack apprehensively.

“To get away from all that bustle and hustle,” I flopped down underneath the huge oak tree, “Join me,”

Jen strolled over and sat down next to me. I slipped my arm casually around her and murmured, “I’ve been good lately, do we still have to take it slow?”

Jen turned around and raised her eyebrows questioningly, “I really don’t know, my minds a bloody mess right now,”

“Come on, Jen,” I pleaded.

Jennivra’s P.O.V.

Sirius grasped my hands as I melted. His captivating gray eyes were locked with mine as he leaned in and kissed me ever so softly on the lips.

“Please?” He breathed as he caressed my hand.

I closed my eyes and nodded.

Did I just make another big mistake? Only time will tell…

Lily’s P.O.V.

“Potter, why in the world can’t you leave me alone for one second?” I grumbled heatedly.

“Because I need you near me, Evans…” James winked.

Grimacing, I stopped dead in my tracks and crossed my arms, “Is this your wish? To annoy me until the end of the time, Potter?”

Never annoy…” James feigned shock.

“Well, you’re doing a bloody good job of it,” I muttered furiously, “Where’s Remus and Peter? Why don’t you go along and play with them, all right?”

“Why would I do that when I could be spending this lovely day in Hogsmeade with you?” James flung his arm around my shoulder, immediately earning me several dirty looks from girls passing by.

I shrugged his hand off, “What do you think you’re doing?”

“Nothing,” James whistled innocently, “Come on, Evans, one date…”

“I did give you one date,” I jabbed his chest with my index finger, “You ruined it!”

“That was an accident, I swear!” James held his hands up as he retreated slightly, “I was just so nervous and I was trying a bit too hard to make it the perfect date…” James trailed off shamefacedly.

I sighed, “Just go, Potter…before you do something else to tick me off even more,” James was about to open his mouth to say something, however, he decided against it and walked away instead.

“Finally,” I muttered under my breath as I went off in search of Carisma or Jen, even though I knew that they’d be busy.

Jennivra’s P.O.V.

“I’ve missed you,” Sirius murmured as he tightened his arms around me.

“Me too,” I smiled. This was what I had always wanted. What I had always envisioned. This still felt like a dream. A dream that I never wanted to wake up from. It was perfect. It was a real miracle…

“Do you want to go to the Three Broomsticks to get a drink?” asked Sirius after a little while.

“Sure,” I smiled as he laced his fingers through mine and we walked towards the busy lanes of Hogsmeade.

“Lily!” I called out as I spotted the red-haired girl walking alone.

“There you are!” She cried out as she ran towards us.

“Sorry to intrude…” She looked apologetically at Sirius and me.

“It’s fine,” I smiled, “We’re just about to go get a drink at the Three Broomsticks, care to join us?”

“I’d love to,” Lily beamed. The three of us pushed our way through the throng of people and finally arrived at the small pub. Pushing the heavy oak door open, we all piled inside and quickly hurried to an empty table.

“How’s it going?” Lily whispered as Sirius headed off to order drinks.

“It’s going great,” I grinned.

“You’re glowing, you’re back together?” Lily guessed.

I nodded, “Was that a stupid decision?”

Lily was about to say something when Sirius came back, however, he wasn’t looking in our direction. He was gaping at something on the opposite side of the room. Lily and I leaned to the right to see James, arms wrapped around another girl as they joked and laughed in one of the booths.

“Will you…” Sirius pushed our drinks towards us, “…excuse me?” He marched off towards James. As his back was blocking the view, Lily and I had absolutely no idea what was going on between them.

“Look,” Lily whispered as she gestured towards Sirius who was walking out the door with a very irritated looking James. I turned around to see the girl glowering at us from the corner, looking ready to bite our heads off.

“Eesh…” I cringed at her expression.

Sirius’s P.O.V.

“What are you doing?” James straightened himself up as the doors of the pub slammed close behind us.

“What am I doing? What are you doing?” I echoed, “What happened to Lily?”

“Sirius, you are such a twit,” James guffawed. I raised my eyebrows skeptically.

“Don’t you see? This is the only way I’m ever going to see if Lily fancies me!” James cried.

“Okay…” I tried to register that little fact in to my head, “In case you haven’t noticed…she hates you…” I enunciated clearly.

“She might not, she might be a really good actress,” James justified.

“I really doubt it mate, now stop being such a fool and leave that poor girl alone,”

“No! Not until I see if my Lily really likes me,” James defied.

“You’re just causing more problems for yourself, mate…just think about it,” I finished as I went back in to the pub to join Jen and Lily.

Lily’s P.O.V.

Something weird happened as I watched James cuddle with the girl, who was now wearing a victorious expression on her face.

I felt uncomfortable, lost and odd. I couldn’t quite explain it.

You want James to be here annoying you instead of talking with that girl! A little voice piped up at the back of her head. No, I don’t! I hate that little brazen git! You like him…that’s why you’re feeling so weird! No, I don’t! I hate him!

Oh no…did I really have feelings for James? Even if it is just a teeny tiny little bit?
