A short summary of JK Rowling's books are provided on her website, with just enough to draw you in and keep you intrigued, Rowling gave us a small preview into what we'd expect when we first set off on an adventure with Harry Potter.

"When mysterious letters start arriving on his doorstep, Harry Potter has never heard of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
They are swiftly confiscated by his aunt and uncle.
Then, on Harry’s eleventh birthday, a strange man bursts in with some important news: Harry Potter is a wizard and has been awarded a place to study at Hogwarts.
And so the first of the Harry Potter adventures is set to begin.
" - J.K. Rowling

Here, we'd love to discuss Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone with you. Do you remember the first time you read the book? Do you remember how you felt when you first discovered the magic and the characters? Do you remember wishing you'd receive your own letter to Hogwarts? Let's talk all about the first time we found ourselves lost in the wonder of Harry Potter.

It wasn't until I'd read the third book (Prisoner of Azkaban) that I finally became a Potter fan. After reading the third book I decided to get the first two.

I couldn't help but smile at the antics of Vernon and co trying to his Harry's origins from him. And Harry's shock when Hagrid first turned up and threatening the Dursleys like he did with an umbrella (I didn't realise it was a wand) and putting a pigs tail on Dudders was priceless.

I think the wonderful J K did a wonderful job of mixing comedy with the serious stuff.
